The Commonwealth of Grand Plutocracy is committed to the establishment of global stability as a precursor to greater inter-state co-operation on diplomatic and economic matters of mutual concern. The CGP wishes to nurture relations will all nations interested in the welfare and maintenance of international commerce and security. Global Region for Free Trade
The Global Region for Free Trade area welcomes all nations committed to the development of international trade and stability. GRFT recognises the sovereign right of member states to conduct their own foreign and internal policies, but asks that any policies conform to the regional principles.
The GRFT is a full and active member of the United Nations, and seeks to encourage the regional principles on the international stage.

Travel Advice

Foreign Minister Benjamin Disraeli today issued a Travel Advice Warning to all CGP citizens advising against travel to the Rouge Nation of Big Brown Things. Mr. Disraeli said “the unwarranted declaration of war against fellow GRFT member The Kingdom of Paddan Aram shows how unstable President Tree Log and his government have become”.
The FMCGP also warns against visiting any other Court of Black Hearts nation.

Customs and Border Restrictions for those Travelling, or Returning, to the CGP
The CGP welcomes visitors from overseas, yet the maintenance of border control and CGP law requires certain border checks at your point of entry. Therefore, you are forbidden or restricted to the commodities you can bring on your journey, including:
• Live animals. Any animal you wish to transport to within the CGP must have satisfactorily undergone six months of quarantine before entry will be permitted. This is to safeguard against the spread of disease or infection;
• Any swords, guns, explosives or other items deemed to be of dangerous intent in design will be confiscated and destroyed. You may not claim compensation for any loss or damage. Swords may be transported, but only with a permit issued by the Customs and Border Control Directorate;
• Radioactive material or industrial, toxic or hazardous chemicals;
• Fauna, including seeds, not native to the CGP;
• Any narcotic substance.
Failure to comply with these conditions may result in you detention and/or criminal trial within the CGP Criminal Courts.
This is not an exhaustive list, and is subject to alteration. If you are in doubt, contact you nearest Embassy, Consulate or Mission. Alternatively, telephone the FMCGP.
Before you travel, please ensure you are in possession of a FULL and valid passport. Entry to the CGP for those travelling outside the GRFT without a passport will denied.

31/07/2007 - Diplomatic Mission to be Opened in British Londinium
The Foreign Ministry today announced that diplomatic relations are to be established between the CGP and the People's Sovereign Republic of British Londinium.
Ms. Emma Peel will become the CGP's first Ambassador to British Londinium and will take up her appointment during August. The Assistant Minister, Kate Muggin, made clear the hopes of the Government that "a partnership... will enable our two nations to pursue our mutual aims and engage in commerce in a peaceful and stable environment" in a statement to Parliament earlier today.

Want a Career with the Foreign Ministry?
The FMCGP Accredited Diplomat Scheme commences training twice per year (1 Feb. and 1 Aug.)
A career in the diplomatic service is challenging, exciting and offers a unique method of seeing the world. Open to candidates with at least a 2:1 degree, you can choose between joining the following departments:
FM Policy Unit: based in Ilium Percote, members of the FMPU help develop our nations policies.
FM Diplomatic Missions: Joining the FMDM could mean you'll be posted to any part of the world, continuing to build upon existing missions or even forming part of a new embassy
All applicants must take part in a full medical.
Applications can be obtained from the Permanent Under-Sec. and Head of the Diplomatic Service and must be returned two months prior to the training date you wish to join.
Only CGP Passport holders born within the CGP are eligable for service.
