Red Tide gone, Frozopian Tide come. (Attn Red Frozopia)

The Chief Governor looked towards the Chief General, nodding towards him and sighing in relief. It had been a short war, certianly, but the objective had been completed. The Red Tideans were moving out from Red Frozopia, and now the rebuilding could begin. The Motherland had started this war, now it was time to help in the rebuilding.

Dunan Ruu started to speak. "I must say, we have done well. Minimal losses, and the apparent releases of Red Frozopia. They can have a piece of their land back now."

Oscar Vladinchi responded in his recognizable russian accent. "Yes, but are the Tideans going to stray forever? We didn't succeed in killing their leaders. But we did succeed in our liberation attempt." He waved a hand at the map before them, "They have a good piece back, and we can help so long as the other occupants let us. Those others that control Frozopia might consider us a threat."

"Indeed," Dunan sighed as he sat in the chair, "all we need is their permission, their word not to shoot our craft, and Frozopia's approval, and we can make them stronger, and let them live their lives again." He rubbed his head, "Sad thing to see that none of the occupiers did anything about the Tyrants rule. Tells me their as evil as him."

Dunan took a drink of his water, and Oscar sat down speaking again. "You know, they can't be our target. Only real tyrants. You must understand, Chief Governor, the people there have not cried out under Oppression. If you attack them, the Galactic Republic will grab its People up, and watch you suffer."

Dunan looked at the stare from Oscar, it bored through his soul. He knew he was elected by the People, and was to carry out their wishes to his best capabilities. The Motherland was here to hear the Oppressed voices of the world, and to respond with Freedom's strength and ability. He knew that from the start, though he also knew that this war had tore something else into him, a desire he had never felt before.

He knew thats Oscar had knowledge of this feeling. How? He did not know. But Oscar was old, very old. Probably as old as Drakomis. He looked as wise too. He couldn't be tricked, or anything. Drakomis put him here to assure that the People would be served well, and not brought into World Wars that would tear them a part.

Dunan sighed, and looked away. "Its hard not having the desire to conquer, you know." He waited for a harsh reply.

Oscar responded, but not harshly, just in understanding. "I know all too well that feeling, but you must take hold of it and throw it away. The People are your life, not your slaves." He looked harsly now, tone was too as Dunan looked at him. "NEVER your slaves. Understand?"

Dunan nodded, "I understand. For now, let's see what these Frozopians want. I suppose we could start from there."

Oscar smiled, finally. "Good, then I shall go and do it. Don't worry, your only concern is the Motherland."

Attention Red Frozopian Rebel Leaders

The time for your Independence is at hand, and therefore, we offer you assistance in rebuilding the part of your Nation that has been liberated from the one Tyrannical beast that everyone missed. We brought the war, and therefore we shall make sure that your new Nation will be strong, and hopeful for the future. Your People are our concern, and we ask that you realize that.

If at all possible, I would enjoy the opprontunity to meet you, and to have talks. We must form a Government quickly, and must form everything the People need for their happiness.

Awaiting your reply,
Chief General Oscar Vladinchi

Phillip frowned. He had refused the first Aequation offer of help, but as the days passed he realised sorting the country out was more difficult than he first imagined. Roland of Topal had offered help, but insisted that other nations should be allowed to help the Frozopians considering the nations problems. Maybe it was time to stop being so prideful and to say yes.

"Andrew!" He snapped.

"Yes sir?" Replied the nervous new assistant of Phillip.

"Have you read this?"

"Yes sir."

"Who gave you permission to do so Andrews?" His voice was calm and quiet, but it seemed to Andrews at least that this snake was gonna strike.

"Erm I thought it was....."

"You thought?" Phillip imitated with a sneer. "You thought? I DONT PAY YOU TO THINK! YOU FILE THATS ALL, YOU HEAR?" Phillip was shouting now, as stood up and kicked Andrew hard. Immediatly the assistant fled from the room. Which is when Phillip laughed. He would get a new assistant tomorow, it seemed being temporarily in control of the country gave him this power.

TO Chief General Oscar Vladinchi
Chief General of all of Anagonia

FROM Phillip temporary leader of Frozopia and head of military forces

We have decided to accept your assistance in restabilising the country of Red Frozopia. You will be working alongside the Aequatian 5th Airborne Division in this mission as well as many Frozopians such as myself and Roland of Topal. Thank you for your assistance.

We will require a landing zone for the division's personnel, in addition to these forces, a Combat Engineer Regiment will be deployed to aid in reconstruction.

Captain Bowles had heard of the treaty signed between the Coalition and Red Tide along with the change in their presence within the newly liberated Red Frozopia. "Policing and reconstruction? Well, I suppose that's a little safer than fighting an occupation force. But they should really send a leg division instead of us."

"I know, Captain, but we're already here though, so it wouldn't be cost effective for the Army to send regular infantry," said his company's First Sergeant, Peter Knox, "Although, I'm not sure how appreciative they are that a new foreign military is coming to their nation."

"That's true, so we'll have to be ready for anything I suppose," replied Bowles as they both sat down on the side of the cargo compartment.

It was the seventh day. The last battalion of Tech-Com Corporation Mercernary Troopers was about to leave via Red Tide Military K-10 Heavy Cargo Plane. The mercs walked into the back of the aircraft and sat on their designated seats. The door slid shut and the aircraft taxied to the take off position on the runway. Going to full power on its powerful turbo-prop engines, the plane sped down the runway, taking off into the air. It Turned and headed south-east until it was out of the Frozopian Airspace, then it turned south, heading for the Red Tide Mainland.

A few more K-10s lingered before taking off. One of the reason the Red Tideans had taken so long was because the Tech-Com Corporation wanted to remove any movable machinery from its weapons factories still in Frozopia. These aircraft loaded up the last bits before taking off.

Even though the Red Tideans had been oppressive, they had built a great electric railroad network(they found that in the cold, diesal engines were not as good), as well as multiple large scale ports. In addition they left behind a goodly number of paved roads and apartment complexes for people to live in, there were still plenty of heavy machinery related to weapons production that simply could not be moved, either because they were to heavy, to big, or both. There were also a few automobile plants... although most of the machinery had been removed from those too.

OOC: Im making this move quite quickly in NS time, just so I can begin later RP's earlier.

IC:

The Frozopians were reclaiming their homeland, or at least part of it, step by step. Many of Frozopia's skilled workforce were put to work, primarily constructing homes or renervating for those who had yet to claim comfortable living. Fortunately many houses needed little renervation, and there were also apartment complexes left behind by the Red Tideans.

At the same time many Topalians were flown in, some to claim their homeland and others to help in the reconstruction. Many of the Topalians began to train a new skilled work force, particularly focussing on the training of construction workers and health workers.

The Topalian leader Roland also poured wealth into the country, by offering money for the Frozopians to work in the old Red Tidean factories, where they manufactured thousands of different things. Much of the new equipment installed in the factories were Topalian too. Most of what the Frozopians manufactured were necessesities required for the developing country, but also manufactured were arms........

Policing the streets were a combination of Frozopian and allied forces, helping to crush the various gangs who attempted to rule the streets once the Red Tideans left. These criminals were treated ruthlessly, with very tough punishments at times. Execution and compulsory work were some of the punishments.

After weeks questions began to be asked. Who would rule Red Frozopia, and when would Red Frozopia open to the rest of the world?

Sorry I didn't post, Was busy with the house chores and supper.

IC:

Indeed, Chief General Oscar Vladinchi had himself been in Red Frozopia for weeks now, watching as thousands of Anagonian engineers, construction workers, medics, troops, vehicles, and some light tanks and armored convy's, with a mixture of helicopter support, patroled Frozopia and maintained what order could be held. Anagonia had done her job, and allowed a people to be free, she had poured easily $1 Billion Dollars into any and all reconstruction efforts, assisting the people in building schools, apartment complexes, houses, recreational areas, water plants, and everything the People would need to be content.

Industry centers were built, factories, complexes, automotive places, even train complexes for the vast electric railroads. The major gift that the Motherland bestowed on the Frozopians was Free Energy. Twenty Starlifters were called in to begin construction of a new Hydrogen Reactor Power Plant, specifically designed to assist the country's power supply. Plans for Hydrogen powered Fuel-Cell cars and trucks were even given to Red Frozopian engineer's, and an Automotive plant for such a thing was being built over the rubble of an old plant.

In the East, Anagonia was pouring Millions into rebuilding a shattered city that had seen the worst of the Tyranny. They were rebuilding water supplies and treatment plants, even schools, and rebuilding the sattered city. It was unimaginable just for ONE city, how many C-130 plans came in every day with supplies and equipment and food. It seemed like the entire nation of Anagonia was being put to this, but in reality it was a mixture of Civilian and Military.

Day by day, the roar of C-130, Starlifters, and a varity of other planes came over the Nation. Patrols of Helicopters and convy's ran the streets to keep the peace, and even a few trains were on the rails after a couple of weeks. But even with the troops in the streets, the military presence, and everything that came, all Anagonian Troops kept a smile on their face, and assisted in whatever would be needed to be done.

It would probably take years, yes, but Anagonia would make sure that Red Frozopia would get what they needed. In the interest of the people, they would send Government counseling to assist in forming a proper Government. It would be their choice, of course, but the rules had to be set. The People came first this time, for that is what Anagonia did this for.

OOC:

Whew, hope you like it.

OOC: Nice, Red Frozopia's really coming along.
Do you reckon I should hold an election with a number of candidates, and then let other nations (OOCily) select one, representing what the people would choose (ICily).

IC:

A Counsil was to be called. It was finally time to decide upon the new government style for Frozopia, and who the candidates would be to lead the government. The Counsil was to be held in what would later become the governmental centre to the country, newly built since the removal of Red Tidean forces. All of Frozopia's allies who assisted in rebuilding the country were invited, and there was much excitement about.

The main hall, where all the discussions would be held, consisted of circular stadium of seats, surrounding a central stand. For the moment the stand had been removed, replaced with 4 seats and a desk. The 4 seats were reserved for Phillip, Roland and 2 other Aequation and Anagonia representatives.

The stadium would be packed, full of members of all 4 nations but primarily Frozopians and Topalians.

The invitations were sent out, and now It was the time for Frozopia's leadership to be decided......

OOC: Maybe you should concentrate on what YOU want. Do you want a Democracy, or a Republic? Do you want your leaders to be currupt, or pure to the words of the people?

I mean, you can decide that way, but other peoples interest, especially those of nations against you, get in the way that way.

IC:

The Chief General had been there through all these gruling months of rebuilding, and had stayed the course, watching both political and actual views of the landscape, ensuring that everything went well behind the scenes, and where people looked. He was the primary represenitive for Anagonia, having the necessary experience to fulfill any role within the entire Anagonian spectrum. Sitting at the seat, and having a few people come with him to seat in the stadium seats, he would watch intently as these newly free'd people would decide the fate of their lands.

He smiled, it was so great to see work done well. Blood of tears were well spent here, and either way, they would have a better nation.

The paratroopers had settled quite nicely into their base of operations from the old airbase. They had converted extra hangers into makeshift barracks, motor pools, a field hospital and headquarters within the old tower building. While the division's heavier vehicles kept watch along the base's perimeter while Humvees ran patrols throughout their area of responsibility along with MH-60 Black Hawk helicopters.

The Aequatian government had approved for a one billion Marke grant to be provided to Red Frozopia for reconstruction, most of which would contribute to work being done by Aequatian Army Engineers. Many elements of an Engineer battalion were nearby rebuilding a bridge that had been demolished in the fighting with a company of paratroopers as escorts.

A particularly savage gang calling themselves the Wolf Militia had decided that the short period of lawlessness between the withdrawal of Red Tide forces and the arrival of the Aequatians was the perfect opportunity to wreak havoc upon the region that was the Aequatian Operations Zone. Captain Bowles and his company had become engaged in a fight while providing cover for a supply convoy which was running food and supplies to a makeshift shanty town nearby the airbase. A loud concussion came over the humvees as one of the launcher vehicles let loose a TOW missile towards a barricade in the road which was garrisoned by militiamen, the missile tore into the roadblock and cleared a hole through the mass. It was only until the riflemen and light machinegunners advanced on the barricade under cover of a smoke screen that the militia fighters broke rank and withdrew into the wilderness.

"We are all sat here today to discuss the future of Frozopia." Roland stood before the stadium, proud and tall.

"But more importantly we discuss who shall lead the peoples of Frozopia. Once Frozopia was lead wisely under the rule of King Clauro, but the time of royal rule has come to an end. It is time to hand power to the people, who would elect a ruler of their own. This ruler will have the most important position in leading the country, but he will not lead the country alone."

"Alongside him will be 20 Counsillors, men elected for their wisdom by the people, men who will hold reign on the countries leader, who will vote each law, each proposal for war, everything. These 20 will be some of Frozopia and Topal's finest."

"For I also believe that Topal and Frozopia should be united as one country once again! Together we will make our lands great once again!"

"So this is my proposal! What do you think?"

The stadium exploded with cheering, as many Frozopians and Topalians roared their support for the man. Yet behind the cheer their were some discontented faces: Old Royalist, communist, Democrats who could not agree with the man.

"What about my allies? What do you think?" Roland said, turning to the representatives.

The Aequatian representative, Brigadier Gregor Mann, who was also the deputy commander to the Aequatian forces present in Frozopia spoke, "I believe that the concept is well thought out and practical, although we have received reports of civilians within our area of responsibility from many citizens, as with those in other areas of the country, of a possible lack of confidence or even recognition of legitimacy in the new government's authority. We feel that it would be necessary to build the legitimacy of the new government and reassure the people that the new leaders will not fall into corruption and provide complete transparency to the citizenry."

-----

Bowles stood at the open door of his humvee as other soldiers moved about, either providing security or helping the forward support personnel unload supplies. He had a prototype of the new G6 rifle hanging from his shoulder as he spoke into the radio handset to battalion headquarters, he reported the skirmish with the militia and called for an OA-37 Dragonfly observation aircraft to monitor any movement within the wilderness.

"It is true there have been people who maybe less than supportive of a governmental regime. Hence I propose myself as a candidate for the position, for I swear with all my heart that I would rule Frozopia and Topal with nothing but fairness and equality for all. To make this certain, my allies on this table." Roland indicated Phillip, the Aequation and the Anagonian representatives "will each have a position in the counsil, no matter who the peoples elect."
The audience cheered once again. In their minds there were no other candidates. Waiting for silence, Roland then continued his speach.
"Remember this people! The best way to show the people we are fair and not corrupt is by actions! So who else would stand for a position of power?"

4 Frozopians and Topalians stood, each with different views from Roland himself. One was a communist, who believed that by coming into power he could introduce a communist state. He was Frozopian and called Maric Damens. Another was a liberal, who believed that the poor were the most important and needed the most attention, this one a Topalian. He was called David Andrews. The 3rd candidate was a Royalist, who believed in reintroducing the Royal family once he came into power. His name was Frederick Mead of Frozopia. The 4th was a man with simialar views to Roland, but different at the same time, his name Patrick Canderson of Topal. He believed however that Frozopia should isolate itself from the outside world, removing the Aequation and Anagonian forces.

Once each man explained their views, ignoring the boo's which were largely targeted at the communist, Roland knew he had won. These people were no competition at all.

Bowles had been listening to the constant reports from the Dragonfly's pilot that he hadn't noticed the militiamen who were preparing to strike at the Aequatian soldiers, a fighter with an old M72 LAW took aim and fired his rocket off towards the Captain and his vehicle. The rocket had hit the opposite side of the vehicle, but had penetrated the door and exploded within the vehicle, the driver-side door had taken the majority of the shrapnel but had also knocked him back. His hearing was muffled and his vision blurred, he hadn't realized that his rifle and helmet were missing as he crawled away from the burning hulk until First Sergeant Knox ran over in a crouch and began dragging him over to a low wall for cover.

Along the wall were other in the company soldiers, firing at a group of militia who were trying to advance on a civilian apartment block to use as a fortified position. One soldier dropped to a knee and began to screw a SMAW missile container onto the launcher when Knox grabbed it from the private's hands and pointed to the soldier's rifle, "That's what you use for this fight, you miss with it, it'll do less damage to a civilian building than that missile."

"Yes, First Sergeant, I'm sorry, Sir," replied the private as he picked up his rifle and began firing.

By this time the Captain's hearing was returning with a loud whistle as the din of the firefight came to his attention, blood dripped from his ears as he turned to Knox and grabbed his shoulder, "We need to get into a better position, this will do against small arms, but a rocket can knock this thing down!"

"Sir, this is the best spot to engage them, we can cover the approaches to the civilian blocks best from this position!" yelled the sergeant over the gunfire, "Our best bet would be to move a SAW gunner and a few riflemen around and hit that spot over there where they're coming from the forest, they've got to cross a pretty large opening to get in within the buildings, we could easily cut them off there and bleed them out!"

"Do it, I'll take charge here!" replied Bowles who saw Knox move down the line and tap a few soldiers on their shoulder, each of those selected immediately turned and followed the sergeant out of view behind a strip mall. Within a few minutes he heard the ripping sound the MG55 made with its high rate of fire along with the popping of the semiautomatic G4 rifles, he grinned as he drew his sidearm and got the attention of his troops, "Throw smoke to cover the advance, we're going to push them out of here and into Knox's firing line!" One of the corporals took the small can grenade from his tactical vest and threw it out onto the other side of the street so that the screen would have a wide coverage. As soon as it had filled, the Captain called for the soldiers to fix bayonets and move towards the militia's garrisoned building.

The soldiers rushed forward through the smoke and reached the building's front door which had been obviously locked, one of the company's TOW gunners, Corporal Richards, knocked it open his size twelve boot and moved inside as pointman with others behind him. The room was empty along with most of the ground floor, the stairs leading to the top floor were well covered by the militia with gunmen watching every approach. Bowles came up on some of his soldiers who were pinned at a doorway which led to the stairway, "What's the holdup?"

A young private with a grenade launcher attached to his rifle spoke, "Sir, we can't go out there without being cut to ribbons!"

The Captain handed his pistol to another soldier before taking the grenadier's rifle and fiddling with the M203 on its underside, "It's a little trick a weapons tech sergeant showed me once, AMI changed the launcher to allow troops to fire a grenade that would detonate on contact without having to travel a certain distance, just watch, he said as he peered quickly around the corner and fired the high-explosive grenade at the gunmen on the second floor which was followed by an explosion that quieted the gunfire from that position, he handed the rifle back and his sidearm was quickly returned to his hand, "Now, let's go!"

The room-to-room fighting on the second floor lasted for a good twenty minutes, no one was killed, but a Sergeant Talley was wounded in the leg when a young private fired at a militiaman and the round penetrated the body and the wall only to strike the sergeant on the other side. Other than that, a few others were wounded slightly. The company had rallied in the square in the middle of the town, most of the soldiers had been defending the supply trucks along with the forward support soldiers, but had witnessed the daring charge along with a few civilians that had been afraid to leave the ring of soldiers for a more secure building. First Sergeant Knox returned with his small fireteam, minus a few hundred rounds of ammunition, but with everyone they left with. The largest losses were the humvee's, many had been put out of commission from small arms, except for a few like Bowles that had been utterly destroyed by rocket attacks. Of the militia, around fourteen bodies were recovered in the building and the surrounding area, Knox hadn't been able to count the dead or wounded his own people had killed since the dead and wounded had been dragged off with the survivors.

The weeks after the fighting, attacks by the militia had died down to a sporadic level, the intelligence people figured it was a loss of confidence after their mauling in the town by Bowles anti-tank company. By now, things were running smoothly within the Aequatian area of responsibility, patrols were as they always were, just a little more boring than they used to be. The Captain had gained a nickname from the battle as well, "Smiley" after his troops had seen how the blood from his ears ran down the side of his head and looked as though someone had taken lipstick and drawn a smile from ear to ear. He didn't like it much, but he didn't much care either, he was just glad to have survived the explosion at his vehicle and was still able to go home after everything was completed here.

Oscar clapped at the speeches gave by the canidates, liking their positions, never truly going for any of them. It wasn't his job, afterall, he wasn't here to mold Frozopia into what he wanted it to be. It was the peoples position. But he had to admit, Rolands position did seem favorable. However, the people would decide that.

The cheers of the crowd outweighed his worries currently. It was like a scene from a movie, they loved him. It would seem Roland would win, and if he did, each represented nation would have a counsil position towards the Government. It was quite amazing, but Oscar had alreadu decided that his Represenitive wouldn't be interested in molding this nation into what Anagonia wanted, but by what Frozopia's people wanted.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sure, in all seriousness, there was fighting with the Anagonian Troops stationed in Frozopia. None of it serious, because mainly as the Militia's fired, the Anagonian's fired back without mercy. Apache and Cobra helicopter gunships were the main cover, taking quick and percise care of those that wished the Red Frozopian nation harm.

Many were arrested, much was gained in information. Overall, few soldiers and marines were lost. But operations continued.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a small town in west Frozopia, a Marine contigent of Anagonia troops was patroling after having a day of nothing happening. Marine Colonel Justine Anderson yawned as he looked out the passenger window of the HMMVE. It had been a long day, very long day. The last patrol resulted in nothing but Frozopians waving, and it exposed the utter uselessness of the M3A3 Bradley that was behind his HMMVE.

Sure, there was a M102 "Dominance", one of about eight that had been sent here just in case of heavy activity. But there were no USES for them, only to expose the strength of the Motherland to Civilians....which actually seemed to make the Frozopians happier. He shurgged, maybe there were uses afterall.

Oh well, at least it made him seem happier.

A few conflicts broke out, but these did not bother Roland. It was clear he was the most popular. Now it was poll preparation. First would be the national poll for Leadership, for which Roland was certain he would win. To follow would be the advisors polls: 17 parts of Frozopia would vote for a local representative, the other 3 slots filled by Rolands choice. This is how the system would continue in the future.
