An attempted coup was stopped today by military forces loyal to Supreme General Victor Daven, unquestion ruler of Davenstein. The coup was led by anti-government forces under the banner of the People's Liberation Front.
"Davenstein will not bow to strongarm tactics of petty thugs and terrorist," said General Maximillian Von Drake, minister of Law and Order. "Our government is strong and our nation united under the wise rule of Supreme General Daven."
The leaders of the attempted coup were arrested. They were sentenced and executed by firing squad just hours after the arrests. The minister of Law and Order said investigations would be launched immediately to uncover any sympathizers with the failed coup.
