Panthean delegation to arrive in Russian Federation

From a direct flight from Kursk, Foreign Minister Pavol Hahns will be arriving into the Russian Federation within a couple of minutes. With the downfall of Pantheans cruel Communist regime, the new Democratic government was interested in making amends with their neighbors. The first and most important neighbor was to the north; the Russian Federation. Through the Russian Federation it was the Republic’s intention to secure trade rights and security. The Russian Federation would also be one of the first nations to have an embassy built in the Panthean capital of Kursk. The Panthean government would also be looking for a possible chance to expand its Republic beyond Russia.

Pavol’s private Lear jet arrived in Moscow at 7PM. On a typical ordinary cold night in Russia. But everyone knew that the decisions that would be made between the two nations would be everything but ordinary. The press crowd the runaway as a meeting between Pantheaa and the Russia would be something that none of them could ever imagine.

OOC: I thought we'd meet at your place since i already sent my representative to there and last time i posted he was on his way to meet with your representative in your capitol, but nvm, lets just say he teleported back.

IC:

Nikolai Griboiedov was sitting in a dark leather chair in a wide, marble room inside the "Drujba Narodov" Hall in Voronej. This hall was a legacy of the communist era, back then just as now it was used for important political meetings, the only difference now is that the room was filled with photographers, camera men and correspondets who were ready to report on the progress of the meeting. Finally the Panthean delegation has arrived. Nikolai stood up and shook the hand of the Panthean representative, then they both seat down opposite each other, waited for the reporters to settle down and once it was quite Nikolai began the meeting.

Nikolai: There is a lot of work to do gospodin Hahns (POC: aren't you supposed to be a Cossack nation sicne you're on Caucasus?), but we will are able to do all that work together and accomplish great things. Today i would like to talk about several aspects of our cooperation, first of all the energy cooperation, second of all the economical cooperation and third of all i would like to discuss with you your nation's position towards becoming a member of Voronej Cooperation Organization. I will let you say your opening statement before we go on.

OOC- Ohh my bad

Hahns- Thank you gospodin Griboiedov. First let me say that the new Pantheaa will have a total free trade zone. No tariffs or high taxes will be imposed on businesses of foreign nations. By next year we hope to be an active member of the globalized market. We also are also planning to privatize Pantheans oil industry. This is something that would of been unthinkable under the Communist. As for the VCO we would be honored to becoming an active member of this cooperation. A cooperation that would unite us with our Russian brethren. Often in the past, we had nothing but disdain for these organizations. But with the Republic working within these alliances we are sure that we can make a positive influence on this world.

Let us begin then. Purhapse we should first talk about the economic cooperation between our nations. I have personally spoken to the President of the ENERGOTRUST holding and he told me all about a currently theoretical project that will be able to deliver Natural Gas and Oil resources to Panthea. I would like to ask you if you would agree to signing a ligal contract, after a throughout review of course that will allow ENERGOTRUST to build those pipelines, from our estimations we will be able to give your nation all the energy resources it needs and since the pipelines will be running from Russia to Panthea directly there is no implications caused by putting the transit nations into the equation. This plan also includes a creation of the transition company ran by both ENERGOTRUST and a representative from your side that will focus on making sure that the gas goes from Russia to Panthea and nothere else. We are prepared to charge you merely 120 USD per 1000 square meters of natural gas and 34 USD per barrel of oil. What is your immediate response to this proposal?

I would definitely approve of an ENERGOTRUST project within Pantheaa. As we could benefit from the supply of natural gas that come from the pipelines. Though this also concerns us. Does this mean that Russian will control Pantheaa’s gas? And is it a exclusive contract whereas I can only buy oil
from Russia? Please don’t take these questions as a refusal. We are just concern about our resources and we need to know exactly what the ENERGOTRUST contract wants. For the most part we support an effort to build gas pipelines through Pantheaa

We understand your concerns but i want to assure you we will not force you to only purchase your energy resources from us, that would be interfering with your sovereignty, ENERGOTRUST is a commerical and not political organization, its main goal is to make profit not to impose some sort of a political influence on your government. I once again say that we will not force you to buy natural resources only from us, the terms are completely open to negotiation.

We are glad to hear that. Of course we will allow ENERGOTRUST's projects in Pantheaa. We want to be careful as not to allow a monopoly on certain sectors of our young democracy. ENERGTRUST will have to complete with other companies that provide resources with in the Republic, but for the most part we allow a total free market society with taxes and environmental policies that will not be a burden on your industries.
