It was here; this, almost unregarded orbital city; this fuelling station of the Abh Empire; that the Imperium chose to show her uncaring might; for it was here; about this city that the Chronosian's tore into being; the vessels like immense cathedrals set to burning across the void; like immense ships of war with all the sinister beauty of a thing entirely molded by Chaos; entirely formed by vicious entropy.
Love is a warm gun; hate, is a fully fledged battlefleet; ablaze with flames that would set Hoth alight and melting; that would sear Yuuzhan'tar of all it's fleshly glory; and eclipse even the brightest of suns; such is the way of the Warp.
Yet these were not merely Chronosian's; that would never have done. No. As the guns began to thunder; as Warp Cannon and lance roared; as missles and torpedoes screamed forth; the markings dictated their fel allegience; and their fabulous might.
Khorne.
Blood ran freely through these vessels; power pulsed and thrummed; plasma coursed and the warp drives seethed; energies surged like the blood of Daemons; the warp made manifest in defiance of their enemies.
It was Hakar Terethil who lead this charge; mighty winged primarch; his face a sneering mask. Broken now, by sweat upon his brow; vision blurring; eyes blazing as something stirred within him; bubbling forth through the cursed blood that pounded in his great veins. A select few of his men seemed to succumb too; seeing with new, thrice-damned eyes; the battle unfolding was not this one; not truly; it was another; countless Millenia ago.
"HOLD THE LINE BROTHERS! DAMN YOU HOLD THE LINE!" He bellowed in a voice not his own. "BY THE EMPEROR WE SHALL NOT FALTER! COME FORTH HORUS! LET US FACE DOWN YOUR SERVANTS!"
The soul of Sanguinus burned in his veins; he longed for combat; and as the battle began; as it readied to wake to full and glorious fruitition; he was a slave to rage and centuries dead passion; a righteous anger bound and corrupted; made to serve it's true source and Master.
Chaos.

The orbiting city sat in unadorned location with the local space lit in a crimosn hue due to the nearby Sord energy source. Several hundred small automated anti-matter factories swirled in the time of oblivion. Fueled fill meteors were still bring brought to the factories and large plant by droids when the servants of Chaos attacked.
The territor belonged to that of the beautiful young Abh Captain Atosuryua who doubled as Baroness. Unfortunatly she was not here to mind her territory as she was off handling others who had become a pest to feed of the misfortunes of others. No plea for help would go out to her since she had her duty to the Emperor and would not fail in it.
Fortunatly enough though, the small orbiting palace was not without its own defenses. Her father, who was human, walked down to the nerve center of the palace. He couldn't remember the last time his hair wasn't grey. A single silo opened up and out rose a simple beacon pointed into the abyss that was space.
"I hope they get here soon. My daughter put in a decent system but it can't last against a full out assault." Outside, darkness turned into night as fuel cells exploded and a thin blue field encircled the palace.

Capital: Lakfakalae War Room
With the Imperial Admiral away fighting the Miehmish scum, Richard Rahl was now left in charge of operations in borders unless otherwise directed by the Emperor or Imperial Admiral.
The tactical display map showed the grim news. An invasion by the GE and Chronosia no less. Beside it all Richard smiled. "I feel honored. We are being attacked by head nation of the GE. I guess they feel that we pose some sort of threat to them."
Around the table the remaining Admirals all stood and asked for the honor of defending their home. "No." Simple enough
"No. Every Admiral here already has a plan that was laid out in the first meeting when we knew we would be a part of all this. I have a better idea." He turned an Abh captain, the mother of royal princess Lafiel. "Captain Lexshue, take your phantom fleet and deal with the intruders. Do not let one escape alive and show them the true meaning of what it means to fight the Kin of the Stars."
The golden eyed woman grinned. "It shall be done Lord Rahl. May I have additional forces as well?"
"Done."
The woman bowed. "Then I shall return when that territory is ours once again."

The fleet lashed out, even as defences peppered armor and shields; tearing at the juggernauts that formed this Chronosian assault; they were here to display the Imperium's might; it's power; it's black and heinous determination to have victory at any cost. But it would also show it's wonderous malice and ingenuity; it's darkly sarcastic inventiveness. The mighty ships lashed out; careful now not to destroy all of the generators and factories; instead; the boarding pods of the Imperium thundered forth; countless of them; to penetrate and take control of the Station; to strike like the claws and fangs of some great beast.
"FORWARD BRETHERN! LET US CLEANSE AND SCOUR THEM FROM THE VOID! THEY ARE UNDESERVING OF OUR EMPEROR'S GLORY!"
The teleporter arrays whirled and thrummed; sending more Marines and Imperial Guardsmen into the facility; their materialisation accompanied by the howl of Bolters; the whir of Chainweapons; the crackle of Lasguns.
Hell had come; blackest devotion expressed in uttermost damnation and brutality.
Sometimes; Damnation could be a beautiful thing.

The station locked itself down once boarding pods slammed home. Battle droids rolled out to take care of holes that were forming along the perimeter. Automated defense systems kicked in with a few robotic sentries.
The Baron Fedbauch locked he and his vassals, mostly women, into the nerve center of the station. There they armed themselves with standard issued marine rifles. Though the women looked frail they were anything but it. They had all been trained as marksmen and could hold their own when it came to pulling a trigger. Now melee, well that was a different story.
Outside the station when no one thought help would arrive, darkness that could not even be comprehended came to the station. Shadows shimmered and materialized infront of the beleagured station. Hell itself had been unleashed with clouds of the Abyss fuming and floating before all. Each one was the size of a large planet.
The ships themselves were just as black. As if all light were absorbed into their very being. The sharks of space had come to feed on servants of chaos. It had been a long time since their last engagement and they craved the blood of intruders. The stars were snuffed out with the gathering gloom that had come to oppose the vile intruders.
From the fleet gathered there and the dark clouds, a woman's voice was projected out on all frequencies. Purring for the Chronosians to come and...play.

Hakar yawned; these things thought themselves manipulative darkness; thought themselves power to match the very Master's of Entropy....How amusing. How coy. He chuckled; the vasty weapons of his fleet turning towards the darkness; bombarding; peppering it with blasts of raw, screaming warp energies; with missles that burgeoned with fusion warheads and graviton weaponry; suns and black holes would stain the night red with blood.
The Marine's came forth like great gleaming red mauraders; like the very champions of Hell. Axes whirred and bit as they dragged them along the walls; bolters howled as they lashed out; a sickening, semi-literate moaning echoed as the gurgling, twisted Obliterator's lurched forward; lascannons bubbling forth from flesh and firing; faces twisted as metal moved beneath puckered, diseased, almost formless flesh.
They seemed almost the sights of the Abyss; necropian horrors; blood-thirsting fiends given mortal form. These were the Champion's of Chaos; these, the warriors of Entropy. This was the charge of Madness and Damnation.

The darkness that had gather soaked it all in. Some passed straight through without even phasing it while others hit and ignited small fires that were quickly snuffed out by violet glows and then darkness returned.
The ships that had gathered quickly phased out but returned in various parts of the field. The same silky smooth voice came back. "The light show was spectacular intruder. I'm flattered that such a display was put on for me. Let me give you one of my own to return the gesture."
Shadows shimmered and disappeared only to return a kilometer or so away from the nearest enemy ship. Blue ion fire rain down from above to peel away the shields of ships like skin. They ate away at anything that stood in the way of the prize. A flick of their fins had them all backing up and then they dove in faster than the speed of darkness. Their teeth but at the soft spots of ships, command decks and engine quadrants, as they dove through with fins hacking and slashing until they could come out the other end.
The blackness began to surge forward now towards the ships.

The battle on the inside wasn't looking so good. Droid remnants were everywhere as Chronosians lurched forward. Automated defenses were overheating from all the firing, sectors were being sealed off to buy the baron and his vassals some time in hopes that help would arrive.
Destroyers rolled in to block hallways as they activated shield generators. Blast doors were being dropped down behind them as well. If this failed there was only one more thing that he could do.
