OOC: I think I posted a response to you in the main thread....lemme crosspost it here....
BTW, I have 15-20 minutes left, then I have a youth group meeting that lasts a few hours....so I can't do much after this.
IC:
Zhao then said, astounded, "Bastards.....Helmsman. How are preparations?"
Helmsman replied, "Everything is ready."
Zhao then said, "Then we strike. Queue up KISS's 'I Wanna Rock And Roll All Nite' and for safety, bring out the Entwistles. Let's see how their monsters deal with planet-killers."
The Helmsman said, "Yes sir."
As the strains of KISS blared on all frequencies, the New Dornalians pressed forth, moving quickly but keeping a safe distance. A new wave of 160-kg People's Hammer Anti-matter Torpedoes (sent in two stages), regular Torpedoes, and Demolisher Gun fire was slung at the heavier ships in the Miehmish line. To add insult to injury, the first stage of the People's Hammer Torpedo Wave was rigged to detonate at about 20 meters from the enemy.....and they had considerable backwash.
At the same time, Entwistle Mobile Suits were called up, using their long-distance support abilities to begin bombarding enemy fighters-targeting the Arbiters especially-in conjunction with regular Marinesko and Mothra assaults, and Gauss Guns from the Maos.

Zhao then said, "Helmsman. Tell the fleet to hold back, and begin arranging itself in a loose crescent formation. Fighters to attack their fighters, use Mobile Suits and Seminoles only to defend ships. Prime Antimatter Torpedoes and conventionals. Get Demolisher Guns ready. And on my signal, we charge in, and try to press the attack."
Helmsman replied, "Yes sir."
The order was given, and swarms of Marinesko fighters and Mothra Strike Fighters went to engage the Protoss Corsairs and Scouts, considered the strongest in the Miehmish lines. Meanwhile, Zhao waited for the magic to occur....
OOC: I dealt with that in my post. Burned out 30 arbiters to break the FTLi for a fraction of a second, just long enough to send the Generator somewhere else. Don't really care where, but it's outside of the FTLi barrier, so....

The Torpedoes were cold meat against the fire the Terran and Protoss ships could pump out, but that was superflous. There was a simple solution to the Terrans dilemma, they were still on their sides, and the fire was still coming from the front. It simply slammed into the powerful Gravitic Wedges, and dissipated, absorbed by the unbreakable gravity of the Wedge. The ships advanced implacably, not stopping, not slowing, just moving towards the opposing Fleets with the inevitability of a glaciar.
The Arbiters were kept safely behind the lines, they had some combat ability, and heavy shields to keep them alive, but why take risks when it wasn't necessary? The rest of the Fighters had finally freed themselves from the Buzz Bots, and, having taken some unpleasant losses, they turned on the New Dornalian units, accelerating, unleashing Plasma Gatlings and Plasma Missiles, as well as Neutron Flares, Gatling Lasers, and Phase Cannon ripped space, there were still thousands of the Miehmish Fighters, and the Wraiths had returned to pestering the Abh by now. The Valkyries were least hurt by the attack, and they sent forth their ire in a wave. 60,000 missiles flashed through space towards the New Dornalian ships, HALO was older than APOLLO, but it was still an effective tactic.
Of the original 200,000 Robot Interceptors only half remained fully intact, but they were all still marginally mobile. They moved, and they moved quickly, unleashing bolts of Plasma at the enemy Mobile Suits as their shields began to charge again.

Admiral Schumacher sat contemplating the galactic display which shone before him. Fleet positions, Planetary information, defenses, literally every single piece of information in the Federation on the Federation was listed.
"I just dispatched the 6th Federal to defend the Dweladelfian system. That is really our only dispatchable fleet. All other ships are needed to defend our worlds--"
"Yes, yes: 'In case the Republic should attack.' You've explained your reasoning far too many times to High Command. But we haven't had any sign of IR fleets in over a decade. Besides, the Chancellor isn't even sure of your allegiance, and neither is the Republic. That can be an advantage." Admiral Dresden continued to stare at the holodisplay. Both officers sat, merely observing the twinkling photonic projection.
"If we break Battlefleet Auzeg's squadrons up and station them in each system, that'll give us enough of a warning to recall the fleets. That'll free up my fleet at Atheos, still leaving the 1st Federal at the Homeworld, here," he pointed at Atheos Prime's outer moons. "The MDF can patrol each sector in turn until the fleets return."
Dresden turned his head sideways and shot a perplexed look at Schumacher. Fritz saw the other admiral's movement out of the corner of his eye and began to laugh.
"I thought the 1st was your fleet," Dresden asked confusedly.
Schumacher chuckled. "Well then, my deception worked. Not even you knew of the existance of my fleet."
"You covered your tracks well."
"Indeed. I've got roughly 3,500 ships in my own, personal, fleet. I figure a surprise Fold in behind the Miehmese Fleet will catch them off-guard and throw their lines into disarray. If losses become too high, I'll withdraw. Simple as that."
"It's your fleet..."

Of the original 200,000 Robot Interceptors only half remained fully intact, but they were all still marginally mobile. They moved, and they moved quickly, unleashing bolts of Plasma at the enemy Mobile Suits as their shields began to charge again.
The capital ships, especially the Lincoln and the some of the Prochkhorovkas, and the Mobile Suits were hit with the wave of fire. Despite the best use of Gauss Guns to act as anti-missile defense, Two Prochkhorovkas were crippled and many Marineskos were crumpled into scrap-spectacularly-as the HALO shots joined with the wave of enemy fire to rock the fighters.
Still, the fleet held; onboard, the Commissars ensured it stayed that way. The Drama Casseroles and the Prochkhorovkas were no slouches themselves in terms of carrying capacity for fighters (The DC alone had about 10,000+), and they had brought thousands to the fray.
Still, the Entwistles began to fend for themselves as best as possible, and soon, teams of Marinesko fighters were engaging the Robot Interceptors going after them. Those Marineskos who were not busy with the Interceptors joined Peter Townshend Mobile Suits in engaging the Valkiryes, and all fighters not busy there simply pounced on the remaining Miehmish.
Zhao, meanwhile, ordered that the People's Hammer torpedoes be saved for later, and that instead, regular Proton Torpedoes and Heavy Bombs should be used on the Miehmish fighters to provide support for the ND fighters on the attack. So, they began rapidly targeting concentrations of enemy fighters, and deployed ordinance on them.
Gracie, the ships AI, detected grativational distoritions on the Miehmish lines, particularly on the tops and bottoms of their ships, which were lopsided so they were the sides. Zhao then simply ordered his ships to go to a lower level than their Miehmish enemies, to avoid the enemy and to SIC: get a better firing position.

Fighters knew they were outnumbered and stayed close to the larger ships for a reason. They used them as shields. Even though the larger star destroyers rocked with explosions, they still held firm. Nevertheless fighters still met their end at the hands of a missle.
The monk laughed hysterically from his chair aboard the SSD. "The fools, what did they think they were throwing away, something explosive. Never mind that though, it has served it's purpose." A flashing red light appeared on his panel which informed the master that all was prepared.
"Drop the FTLi."
For an infintismal second all space travel was possible again and that's all that was needed. That generator wasn't a device set to explode, it was sending a beacon that could be monitored. The Abh Hyperspace technology was good. It could form a jump point anywhere on a dime. They only needed something to lock onto.
The very fabric of space itself ripped open all around and ontop of the Miehmish forces. Ships of all shapes and sizes poured out and leading them was the large Hybrid Command ship that dwarfed every ship in the fleet.
Imperial Admiral Gaf'ton stood at the rail overlooking the tactical map. "We have cloaked fighters on attack vector with our own fighters. I want all Frontlineships to form up in front of the Super Star Destroyers and to prepare for mine attack. Destroy their fighter support then launch our own. Rambirds to the rear of the fleet. Once all ships have finished with their fast attack strafe, they are to reform. I want all Omega-X Destroyers to the right and left of the Frontlineship artillery line to protect the flank. As soon as all ships are in the sector, bring FTLi back up. Make it so Chief."
"Yes your highness."
The Abh and New Dornalia forces were no longer outnumbered as it was now more than 2-1.

The enemy would be fools to try and assume positions allowing them to fire on the Miehmish ships... The only way to get a blow in now would be to get above or below the ships, exposing the enemy to the deadly Broadsides of the Miehmish fleets...
The FTLi was down long enough, and the Miehmish knew it... They Translated out, leaving behind a dozen crippled destroyers, and several thousand Robot Interceptors.
This time they really WERE targeting another enemy installation, the vaunted Fort MacAllister that the New Dornalians had run to protect before was now their target. Their sudden reappearance last time should have the enemy firmly convinced that they would be back, but they would not return to that system for some time...

The Abriel stood with his arms across his chest. "So they have fled. That was expected. What is even worse is that they left their fighters behind to be destroyed. That's their loss. What is the status of the Frontlineships?"
The young chief stood at attention. "All ports are open and standing by for orders."
Gaf'ton drew his command saber. "Direct all mines at their fighters. One volley only."
"Yes sir."
A hundred Frontlineships were in line and ready for attack. A single ship could launch about 30 mines each but these weren't ordinary mobile mines. They could detect an energy spike in their direction. Once that happened, they would divide into three smaller mines still carrying anti-matter warheads.
The Whitestars would clean up the rest of the fighters that remained behind. Captain Atosuryua smiled when she received her orders. "You know, if you shoot fast enough you can write your name in the destruction."

Two Frontlineships were destroyed by the destroyers' volley. Now that the fighters were gone from existance, the signal was given to the Rambirds to finish them off as the Abh fleet backed up.
"Send one Rambird per destroyer."
"Yes your highness."
Twelve Rambirds shimmered and disappeared. In a few seconds they reappeared above the destroyers. The nose of the ships opened to reveal a large ion cannon that went the length of the ships. Large blue bolts fell from above and then it stopped just as soon as it began. The nose of the ships closed. Fins backed the ships up to give them room then they were off at the speed of darkness. Just before impacting into each ship, they locked their fins back to help cut through the hulls.

The very first action of the Terrans upon entering the system was to throw up their version of an FTLi. The second action was to unleash a volley against any fortifications they could observe. Each Fleet would target a single installation at a time, until it was destroyed, or the enemy ships appeared.

Zhao's forces, having emerged some distance away, were forced to use conventional drives to advance to relieve Ft. MacAllister, as they had been forced to warp in a significant distance away, outside the field. Still, they were on top of the Miehmish, so there was an advantage. They closed in quickly, firing their Demolisher Guns and torpedoes onto them, radioing to the Abh, "Stop screwing with the little kids, we need help!"
Meanwhile, the defenses of Ft. MacAllister came alive, as the Warp Cannons and torpedo launchers on the sattelites soon began pouring rapid fire death onto the Miehmish.
The Oliver Law, meanwhile, came out of the shield wall, and began forming its accompanying forces in a loose box. They began firing back at the Miehmish, targeting their guns with Demolisher Guns and throwing up assault teams of Mobile Suits, Seminole Gunships and Mothra Strike Fighters to try and attack the ships upclose, escorted with Marineskos.

OOC: Demolishers are energy weapons? Also, the FTLi is several Light Hours, you will appear well out of range, and take about 7 hours to reach me if you don't want to just blow past me at fractional c velocities. Because I know just enough about the way motion works without friction to be a pain in the ass...

The Terran Fleets soaked up the fire, the range was still too long for any damage to be acruing on the ships, the Sidewalls were effectively impervious to energy weapons at ranges greater than 30,000 kilometers, but the broadsides of the Miehmish fleets had no such limitation... The Rambirds merely activated their Hyperspace Taps and were gone from this existence of space and completely safe from the blast. The rest of the fleet had been steadily backing away.
"Master De'Unnero, your ships need to stay and guard the system while you make repairs. Spread an FTLi field to keep all ships out. We will head to the next engagement."
The monk was far from out of the fight though. "Your Highness, the ship only has minor hull breaches which are already under control. Our offensive and defensive capabilities are unharmed. I can leave two ships behind to tend to the system and bring all surviving fighters with us."
The Admiral stood there with his arms crossed for a moment. "Very well. Direct the fighters to my wing and we will head to the next system."
---------------------------
A few hours later the Abh fleet was in Hyperspace but were prevented from entering into the forray due to an FTLi field. "Blast! Our allies are stuck while we were cleaning up the mess in the other system."
The chief was looking at the tactical display map. "Your Highness if I may, we can send a beacon to Ft. Casimir Pulaski for a quick jump should that fort be there next target and yet remain here in the even the FTLi field is dropped."
The Admiral nodded. "Very good chief. Send a communications ship to the fleet and inform them of what has happened in our ally's system. I want them prepared and inform Admiral Trife of his new orders as well."

Those damned Wedges.....the enemy was best friends with Newton, apparently, and used his theories to write a very strong playbook. But they had a few tricks of their own.
The Commander of the Law had an idea. Gracie, the ship's AI, had detected a potential gap in the Wedges guarding one of the Terran ships....something possibly exploited by Mothras and Peter Townshends. The challenge was getting Mr. Townshend and his supporting act to the gig, without the hostile audience doing too much damage.
The idea was simple. Send out a strike force of 25 Peter Townshends and 50 Seminole Gunships, the Townshends armed with People's Hammer AntiMatter Torpedoes, and everybody with all other ordinance. The Fleet would make a supporting attack on the fighters and the other ships that would inevtiably react (going first), using Demolisher Guns and Gauss Guns tuned to wide dispersal, and the party would be escorted by Marineskos. The Storm Eagle Defenses would join in, too.....if they could react to whatever had broken off to make raids cloaked.
The plan was audacious, and if it failed...they tried not to think.
--------------
A few of the bravest Mobile Suit and Seminole pilots were picked for the Job, as it was called, and their craft were soon outfitted with the needed wargear. Then, they prayed...as the Oliver Law and the fleet began opening fire once more, as part of phase one.

The fire was still washing off of them like rain off a duck, and behind the lines, the first phase of THEIR serious attack was also beginning. Behind the lines Terran Podlayers were disgorging their payloads of APOLLO Missile Pods, each fleet had the ability to throw 64,000 Missiles at one volley. With 2 fleets here, the volley would be enough to swamp mosyt PD systems.
Their weapons still blasted through space, cutting through void and vessel with equal ease.
The Fighters and Interceptors behind the Wall were preparing for their own foray against the enemy...

The Abh fleet remained in Hyperspace waiting for a moment to attack when reports came in about the attack on their home territory. The Chief of Staff walked up to the bridge where the one-eyed Imperial Admiral stood with his arms crossed. "Your highness, we have a report on the Febdauch System. The Chronosian Imperials have invaded and destroyed many of the fuel depots. Our forces have resonded to drive them out. Captain Lexshue is leading the retaliation by orders of Lord Rahl."
The Abriel grunted. "Good enough." After a few moments he sighed and turned to his chief. "Pull up our star maps and let's see what there is to plan. We can't have a large war fleet like this sitting around and doing nothing."
"Yes sir."

The Oliver Law's commander laughed at the 64,000 missiles. So many missiles, what to do with them? Simple. They threw up Gauss Gun fire and a couple of People's Hammers programmed for remote detonation....the counterassault took out plenty but not all of the missiles, and the rest either hit the ships and rocked them hard, doing some damage but not much due to shielding, or simply flew towards the planet's shield wall, slamming harmlessly onto it.
The Commander, henceforth to be named Captain Stuyvesant, then smiled, and said, in a thick Boer accent: "Enough games. This standoff is useless, the foe plays it to his advantage. All units form into a V formation, stay loose. We close the distance between them and us. We are strong ships too, they are not monsters but men and aliens."
The Helmsmen were skeptical, and Gracie whined, "But Comrade-"
Stuyvesant then said, smiling, "No buts. Besides, we need a better staging position for supporting our raiders. Besides, we can always retreat, and sow torpedoes as mines....if the plan goes wrong. And it won't! We have the People's Will!"
The Helmsmen then sighed and said, "Very well....all ahead full! All ships ahead full!"
The ND Fleet then began moving forth, steaming forward at high speed. Their singularity engines roared to life, and their sublight drives worked overtime, as they assembled into a V, and moved to close the distance, shields at full and Super Warp Cannons charging up....
--------------------------
Meanwhile, the Trench Raiders, as the assembled force was called, moved out, flying at high speed and tuning shields to full . The leader of the Raiders, Flight Leader Maria Obispo, then commanded the force, "Comrades, shields up. Be not distracted. Stay on course.....and keep your underpants dry. Stay loose, but in contact. Now go!"
They formed into loose figure four shapes, and moved to form interlocking fields of cover. Then, they began zooming towards the Terran lines at overdrive.....dancing and weaving like acrobats.....

OOC: I didn't fire them yet, I prepared to fire. Also, these are bomb-pumped laser heads, with a standoff range of 30k kilometers(they're designed from more Honorverse tech, to strike through the sidewalkls at their vulnerable range)
IC:
"SIR! They are deploying light mobile units! What do we do?"
"Kill them all, use the Fighters to deal with them, they're certain to be outnumbered. We'll have to hold off on the rest of the plan for now..."
Thousands of Fighters, Interceptors, and Robot Interceptors swarmed out from the shadow of the fleets, they were once again back up to 200,000 and then some strong, and they would be able to reap through the enemy numbers easily, or so they hoped.
The enemy was advancing in a wedge huh? Well, that could be dealt with. The Terran ships shifted into a true Wall of Battle, stacking themselves vertically to optimize the firepower they could throw with their capitol ships. The Destroyers and Heavy Cruisers streamed out from the protection of their larger bretheren, they would accelerate to somewhere around 800gees, and blow past the enemy, firing at max speed, before slowing to deal with the planetary defenses while the more massive ships kept the New Dornalians busy.
The Wraiths were finally in their postitions, they had no idea what they were really going up against, but they opened fire on the satelites they had acquired, loosing missiles and burst laser blasts at their max rate.

The Storm Eagle System came alive, even more than usual, after some sattelites were hit. The Command Platforms that had been so far shaken, but still strong, relayed orders to their sattelites to retaliate. Half of the Sattelites played point defense (as best as they could), and the others fired back (as best as they could) at what the heck was firing at them with a flurry of Light Warp Guns and El Cid Torpedoes.
Meanwhile, the New Dornalians did not panic, the time for panic was over. Stuyvesant ordered the Gauss Guns and half of their Demolisher Guns (on wide dispersal), plus El Cid Torpedoes (lots of them) fired at the clouds of fighters swarming the Mobile Suits and Seminoles.
OOC: This following statement assumes the Destroyers and Heavy Cruisers you sent are not doing what you described....yet.
IC:
They also took the opportunity to fire what shots they could at the enemy, sending Super Warp and the other half of their Demolisher shots and about five People's Hammers into the swarm of Destroyers and Heavy Cruisers that was surging out....and then remotely detonated them as they neared the Destroyers and Heavy Cruisers.
--------
Meanwhile, the Strike Party simply soldiered on, dancing and weaving like Muhammad Ali in a boxing match, and its escort Marineskos providing cover by firing and attacking the foe with as much vigor as possible, closing towards their objective. The vertical stack formation proved a bit fortuitous-it did raise some issues, as it would bring full brunt of bear on the NDers, but it also would prove useful for the Raiders.

The Wraiths dodged and weaved, but hundreds fell in the enemy volleys. They kept up the attack though, unleashing wave after wave of Hellstorm misiles at the enemy, bcing it up with Burst Lasers as they screamed away from their primary targets to hit then next satelites in their queue.
The fighters were only exposed to the enemy fire for a little while, before they were in among the opponents units, and the risk of destroying their own formation at the same time as the Miehmish would be too great. Hundreds upon hundreds of fighters had died, but the most important members of the formation had survived the massed fire by one simple expedient: all the rest had bben given exactly one goal, to protect the Valkyries. As soo as the formation broke apart, the Valkyries fired, unleashing 60,000 missiles into the enemy, all at once. They knew that that was the only chance to stop the Mobile Suit assault, even if it meant losing the striking abilities of the Valkyries for quite some time.
The Heavy Cruisers and Destroyers were hit hard, dozens died in the first volleys, but they sped on at their maximum acceleration, unleashing missiles and various energy weapons into the enemy ships, all of their available power was concentrated on a single enemy ship at a time, making the odds of killing or crippling one of the New Dornalian craft rise exponentially. They knew that their only chances were to make a highspeed attack run on the planet, unleashing everything they had in one quick pass, before being forced to decelerate and come back form sunward, and uleashing another barrage on the planet. It'd take time, but this place would fall.
