Transmission to all Coalition Allies: Anagonian Battlegroup.

Listen and Understand, dear allies of this Temporary Coalition. Its is henceforth set down that no froztopian should be assaulted, or killed, during these operations. It is also made known that any other controlled territory of forztopia not under the juristiction of the Red Tidean government, should not be considered for assault. It is hereby declared that our TARGET is the island of Red Tide, and nothing else at this time. Their government is our target, their military is for our marks.

Let no civilians be killed in this operation intentionally, meaning to keep it to a severe minimum. We are here as Liberators, and not as conquerors. Once the Red Tidean government is overthrown, rebuilding of their past empire will be done, and their People will be given control of their lands.

THIS COALITION IS NOT FOR, NOR WAS IT FORMED FOR, THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF ATTACKING ANY OTHER NATION THAN THAT OF RED TIDE2. Any other Nations armies, soldiers, or vehicles or vessels or aircraft found within the boundries of the warzone or not to be targeted. I know there will be tempors among the other nations that will want to get us to start a war with them, but we must refrain, we must not allow our bullets to kill that which is not our mark.

Anagonian Forces are only five hours away from the Red Tideans, and already we are suspecting heavy resistance. We recommend that all Battlegroups engage from respectable sides to confuse the enemy of the coalition. It must be done that we must seek out thier bases of operation, and fully engage them with a bombardment of cruise missiles before we do anything further. This is specifically to weaken their defensive capabilities, and must be done to ensure full Military Casulties, and to make sure our casulties are a minimum.

We will not begin operations until more reliable intel is given on the military installations. If a fellow battlegroup can do this, then we can jointly attack with great efficency.

Thank you for your time, and, above all, good luck members of the Temporary Coalition. Our work is for Freedom, from such a currupt Corporate Dictatorship as this. We must show the world that there are those WILLING to give it all for the protection of our fellow Brethren on this earth, and not sissy-foot around with talks while they continue their genocidal massacre.

Good luck, and Godspeed.
Chief General Oscar Vladinchi
In Message to all Coalition Members

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The XCV-2 Motherland had been enroute to the Tidean island for some hours now, and their battlegroup had split up nearly half-way to the third checkpoint. She was guarded by four Battleships, a number of submarine classes, many transport ships, and her Sister Carrier the Anagonia. Commanded by Grand Admiral Jeff Vladikov, she had been placed on a steady 14 knots for the time being, recon plans often coming in for landing here and there.

Jeff was looking through his binoculars when a Lieutenant stood at attention by his side. Placing the Binocs down Jeff was given a sheet of paper. Eyebrows raised, Jeff looked at the paper, then back at the Lieutenant.

"What is this?" Vladikov's russian accent was also a notable trait for him.

The Lieutenant responded with a very Southern American tone. "Sir, its new orders given in by the Temporary Coalition Command. Top brass said you'd want it."

Jeff nodded to the Lieutenant, giving a salute and waving him off. He turned back towards the glass of the bridge, reading the paper and nodding to himself. This was going to be one hell of an operation to even commence. It would be hard enough getting the submarines into position, not to mention the battleships and aircraft.

He sighed, hopefully the Allied fleets would make a move before his. Jeff didn't like having to know he would be the first in. He was reluctant, an old sea bag. Hopefully he had it in for one more.

2 large ships, the Friedrich Engels and Jazmine Fury along with several smaller destroyers and the Aircraft Carreir Nerve Centre are heading towards Red Tide Waters. The cruise-missile submarine Alek J. Blain is already hidden in the depths of Red Tide waters, and missile doors were already opened.

"20....." A computerized voice blaired out of the loudspeaker

"Our sattalites have seaken out the biggiest Red Tide2 military institution in our range, all missles aimed there."

"How many civilans will be killed in this" Major Tarikka Jeseion asked her commander, Admirl Joesf Ikari.

"Only in the teens because of engineers." he responded."

"15.........."

"How long till the naval and air detachments get here." Tarrika asked.

"Our ground forces are with the air detachments, and they are keeping pace with the ships. The Jazmine Fury, the 32nd Air, and Secret Police will arive first. Followed by the Engles and the 12th air, 32nd and 5th battalions. Thousands of more troops will arrive over the next hours after the first landing."

10......

"This better go off without a hitch.

"3........2...........1...........Ready............Mark...........Fire" A great roar was heard as 40 conventional warheads flew towards a Red Tide base.

IC:When the fleet reached 4 hours to its destination, the Over-The-Horizon RADAR Station in the Central Desert picked it up. Although the OTH RADAR occasionally picked up sattelites in LEO as well as all sorts of aircraft and ships, the massive formation of large contacts heading their way simply couldnt be ignored as commercial traffic. The message was quickly flashed up the line of command and the entire Red Tidean Military kicked into high gear.

Although the war wasnt official yet, the Red Tidean Military had never been at its DEFCON-5 in any sense. The dictatorship had painted through a massive propoganda campaing that the outside world was full of nations who would pillage and annihilate them. This worked to an extent... any invading nation would not be welcomed with open arms, but it wouldnt wind up being shot at by armed civilians. The reasons were two fold. First, only the Police, Consortium, and Military had guns. The only pure civilians that had weapons were registered hunters, Red Tide Mafia thugs, or rebels.

The other reason was that Red Tides brutal tactics to keep the citizenry in line and its secret support of the Red Tide Mafia had backfired to a degree. The citizenry was as equally suspicious of its goverment as it would be of any invaders. So civilian resistance was a moot point.

The Military and Consortium was a completely different story. The Red Tidean Military and Intelligence Consortium Personnel exibited a degree of fanaticism that had never been seen before. The reasons for this have never been known, but it has been reported of Red Tidean Soldiers recieving fatal wounds and yet continuing to fight... never surrendering. To boot, the personnel had the same amount of training as a US Soldier and were well armed.

The source of Red Tidean training has never been pinpointed, there are no shooting grounds on Red Tidean Military Bases. Some experts and conspiracy theorists have connected the Red Tidean Training with those mysterious collars that every single soldier/sailor/pilot/agent below the rank of lieutenant-colonel seem to wear.

OOC::shakes: Well... this is going to be fascinating. TMS: I am assuming you are launching from the northern coast?

IC:The launch of the Marxist States Cruise Missiles so close to Red Tide was met with some surprise, however, ten cruise missiles were not all that much a threat. The thousands of Red Tidean MDM-4 SAM Batteries spread across the coast almost fired until they realized how few cruise missiles there were. They would let the WHIRLWIND emplacements deal with them.

When the cruise missiles reached 2 kilometers from the coast... they were promptly blown out of the sky by a multitude of 30mm gattling gun and SmartFlaK fire. A WHIRLWIND emplacement was the pinnacle of Anti-Missile and AAA. First designed for protecting ships against Anti-Ship Missiles, a single emplacement consisted of 2 weapons. A 30mm rapid firing AA gun with SmartFlaK shells, and a 30mm gattling gun. Both were automated, there were upwards of 2,500 of these emplacement along the coast. They were small, so it would be hard to see them from the air.

The Red Tidean Navy, oddly enough was not sailing. None of its hundreds of ships in the southern ports showed any sign of activity

A small group of landing boats are now entering Red Tide waters.
"How long before we land?" asks Spec Ops Commando Naoki.
"Soon, I hope. This waiting is killing me," replies Miyako, another Commando,
and a member of his unit. "A-tennnnnnnnnnn-SHUN! Weapons up! Snipers,
take aim! Everyone else, prepare to land in about an hour!" yells Spec Ops Leader Kaiko. "You two, get up, and get ready to fight." Meanwhile,
Naoki thinks back to his firearms training less then two months ago.
This would be his first battle using firearms, but he still had his Katana,
just in case.

JAZMINE FURY DETACHMENT

Charles Wallace Mury couldn't believe his eyes. The order from Avinash Estimera, was to launch all planes and helicopters from the Nerve Centre. and small portabable airbase class ships around the area, and many from the State itself.

Now 410 Bombers, 320 Bombers, and over 1200 Helicopters were attempting to break through the Westren Wasteland by flying at the highest possible altitude. The Armada would drop bombs on any and all non-civilan targets they came across.

The State had recently been given a great technology that would drop soldiers and vehicles from the upper atmosphere, and was undetectable by all but satallite imagry. The soldiers would have on suites protecting them from the thin air and pressure and would deploy parachutes once entering a certain height. 6500 Soldiers, 300 Tanks, and 515 Humvees were being deployed in this manner, starting in the next hour.

OCC: Areas WITHOUT anti-aircraft weapons were seeken out for this so they will not be shot down.

Leafanistani Frozopian Border with Red Tidean Territory

The troops had been digging all day long, they have been for the past week. The regular troops with the help of the 1st and 2nd Frozopian People's Guard had dug a 2 meter deep trench 15 meters wide. They had finally set up a massive border spanning Grancrete barrier in front of the original double electric fencing and every 10 km border barracks.

The trench was filled with anti-tank mines and claymores lined either side of it.

Tank traps (Steel I-beams in the form of a star) and Dragon's Teeth (concrete tank traps) were set on the other side of the trench and a few Tank Stars were inside the trench with mines planted on them. The existing pill boxes were moved back to accomadate them.

Scout car patrols tripled and mobile anti-air units roamed the border.

A no-fly zone was declared over Leafanistani territory, UC-16 flights patrolled the skies accompanied by manned Su-82s. All incoming aircraft were grounded at Xi'an Coastal Airport and the people were given train tickets to their destinations.

Any aircraft violating the no-fly zone will be told to land at certain airfields or if they continue to refuse, they will be shot down.

A curfew was imposed, the people were afraid but Leafanistani government media assured them that these were only emergency measures and most likely no shots will be fired.

Vice-Admiral Heinrich Graham stood on the bridge of the carrier RNS Europa, the oldest vessel in the fleet, as it moved ahead as part of the morass that was Task Force 22. He would be commanding the entire fleet division throughout the campaign, he felt a little nervous about the opening of the operation where the 15th Marines would be performing their first landing in decades. Many of the Marine commanders were nervous as well, but better prepared than those from the last landings, the last time the division landed on a foreign beach over 6,000 soldiers were killed due to a lack of NBC protection procedures. Constant drilling ensured that no such thing would occur again.

The carrier task forces would take up a position with the ships of Anagonia while the battle groups would line in between to create a wall of anti-aircraft protection for the other vessels. Amphibious assault forces would wait for the call by Coalition Command to move in towards the Red Tidean shores.

"Are those aircraft, up there?" asks Kaiko. "I dunno. I'll check," Miyako says as he aims his PRA M220 Sniper Rifle straight up and looks through his scope.
"Looks like Bombers and Choppers from The Maxist State." "Good thing they're not Tidian Bombers," quips Naoki. "I don't think the Morter on my HVAC will reach."

A single, small landing craft, such as the one carrying Stoned Ninjas special forces men, could easily escape detection. It did, it was a bit foggy as the commando team slid through the fog. The sun soon split through the fog, revealing the beaches, as far as the eye could see from west to east was the same, the first half of the 500 meter beaches was line upon line of tank obstacles and hedgehogs. The latter half of the beach consisted of trenches aswell as 30mm autogun and machinegun nests. Behind the beaches was a slowly sloping upwards hills in which Nomandy-esque bunkers were laid out. Red Tidean soldiers were moving about the trenches and movement could be seen in the slits of the bunkers. For each five kilometers of beach were two Infantry Brigades and their equipment.

At the Northern Airbases, four Air Regiments of Tu-22RTs(40 aircraft per regiment) rolled down the runway, a single CM-3 Anti-Ship Cruise Missile tucked in their bomb bays, two more under each wing. They screamed down the runways and took off.

Jenrak
23-01-2006, 01:10
Drakthaz lined along the magnificent the hallway, the marble floors glittering in the vast brilliance of the awing light, the shining rays of sunshine trickling through the windows as if they were underwater, bathing in the fragrant bliss. Standing atop his podium, watching carefully at the teeming swarms of his fellow councilmen, as they gathered together, murmuring and rummaging through their movements, pardoning and conservatively welcoming the others. A new resolution was passing, a new idea was being put through the process. Aristocrats away on another mission within Jenrak’s borders, it was up to the corporate faces of the nation to determine the gears of the nation, and one of their important issues, the possible aggression against the ones whom were infamously known to them as the Red Tideans. He gurgled, he chortled, his wire-rimmed glasses barely fitting on his double chin, his plump form in contrast to the sleek, silver pedestal he stood upon, a shining white piece of paper in his hands. The people still rumbled, still moved from place to place, the habit becoming unbearably annoying.

“Order! We are to have order in this session!” He said, banging the large steel gavel onto the pedestal mount, to the reprise of his fellow councilmen. “In this session, we are here for the possible war against the Red Tideans. What is the stance upon the corporate views?” He asked, aiming at the short, plump, sneaky beings whom controlled the faceless empires of corporations and items of value. “What is the stance upon this situation?” He asked more clearly, to the murmuring of others before the familiar sleek gavel pounced harder on the mount.

“We of the corporate society believe it to be a possible endeavour to gain mining and possibly forestry operations in the lands of the recently captured Frozopia, and possibly any labour workers there to our advantage. It could not only create job possibilities, but increase the tides of the economic unit.” The spokesman said, pompous and arid, to the clapping of the other spokesmen.

“Very well.” Drakthaz murmured. “What does the authorities say of the civil matter?” Drakthaz pronouncedly placed extra emphasis on the word civil, as if he did not care of their issues.

Rising in his manner, a young powerful man nodded. “The civil issues are of no concern. To the everyday Jenrakian, it is merely another war that is inevitable and unavoidable.” The man replied, once more pompous and arid like the man before him, sitting down in a swift click onto the chairs, as the murmuring increased, more intense and erratic than before, a quick shout coming out now and then. As always, the familiar cry of wanted order was the prerequisite, and Drakthaz always once more banged the rough gavel against the mount.

“Very well.” Drakthaz replied. “On issue of corporate and civil issue, this is the conclusion. However, as thus stated, religious issues are on a staunch stance against the invasion, but after pronounced persuasion from certain third party groups,” Drakthaz noted, to the slight approval of the councilmen. It has been too long the church held supreme power with their superior military might – now it has turned, as the church was now obligated to send in a strike force to assist.

“A pair of Temsplaces are to assist us, but they have not yet made any prominent promise.” Drakthaz replied. “All of these sessions are to be cut loose, after all questions are finished.” He said, pointing his gavel at everyone in the audience. Nobody replied, they only sat in silence, attempting to waste precious time, attempting to not be put forth in the stance of guinea pig for Drakthaz’s questions. Nobody replied, nobody asked any questions, they only gathered and stood up, chattering amongst themselves, trying to not make eye contact with him.

“Very well.” He said, amongst the whispers and snickers. “The court is to have a pro-attack stance against the Red Tideans, and we will launch a strike force after debriefing and mobilisation is under way.” Drakthaz replied, his staunch reply strong, his voice clear and his gaze far and wide.

At least 10 Kilometers behind the Anagonian flagship was the smallest part of the temporary coalition. Captain Anatole squinted from the bridge of the lead Minnechusettsfornian ship, the Rolfe, at the warships ahead and the coastline beyond. Some of the ships had already begun firing on the coast. But not these ships. The three frigates were there strictly as an escort to the two loaded supply ships, the Thirstin Howell III (the first ship of the class) and the Soros. While Minnechusettsfornia had not (yet) provided any actual offensive strength, the two ships had been sent to provide supplies and logistical support for the other coalition nations. Between them, they carried ammo of both the ship and soldier variety, as well as food, parts, and medical supplies. They also carried 1,000 highly trained suprises for anyone trying to board the ship, or for any other unforseen situations. The theory was that if they did not actually have boots on the ground, Red Tide would be less likely to notice their involvement. Uh-huh. The frigates were there to handle anything that got through the battle groups. Word was that General Urbanus was already assembling an assault force, and was just waiting for the Senates word to send it. If it arrived after the landing, it would provide what would probably be by then much-needed reinforcements. If it hadn't been carried out yet, all the more firepower to break through the defenses. But for now, with one of those occasional and decidedly un-military thoughts, the captain was secretly glad he wasn't ordering anyone into that anti-air fire.

Stockyard Air Base, New Feluca

On the multiple, often cris-crossing airstrips at Stockyard, dozens of C-1 Dropmaster planes sat at the ends of the runways.

Buses were pulling up at the terminals, and from each began to emerge Felucan soldiers dressed in standard forest green camo. On their shoulders was the patch of the 1st Airborne Infantry Division, an eagle's head clutching an arrow in its razor sharp beak.

Hundreds of Airborne Infantry were unloading from the buses and heading over to the terminals where a warehouse was set up with their equipment waiting. Each and every soldier had an assigned spot, and there sat his or her gear. A parachute, backpack and supplies, rifle and ammunition and for some, SAWs, explosives and other support weapons.

Once they had their gear strapped on, the soldiers turned around to check the soldier behind them. Then turned around again to check the other soldier beside them. In this, any flaws in equipment could be spotted and sorted out.

After a couple of hours, the soldiers formed up into companies and marched out across the tarmac to the waiting C-1 Dropmasters.

IC:The Tu-22RTs began to reach the edge of the enemies fleets radar screen, they split into two groups of 80 and spread out. The bombadiers flicked their switches, arming the cruise missiles. The Tu-22RTs also dropped to a lower altitude.

The CM-3 Anti-Ship Cruise Missile was RADAR Guided, it carried a 2,200 pound warhead. In addition it had a range of 175 kilometers, with a initial launch speed of mach 3.3, but a mid course speed of mach 4 that made it hard to hit, it was also a sea skimmer. The men prepared for an enemy fighter attack.

Two hours from the 100 Kilometer mark, the XCV-1 Anagonia reported with her long range radar that there were enemy incoming. Immedietly, both carriers launched response fighters consisting four F-14D Tomcats and four F/A-18E/F Super hornets. The Tomcats, coming from the Motherland, took the lead and gained a lock with long range radar without much hassel. They launched eight AIM-54 Phoenix Missile Long Range intercepting missiles to take care of the threats posed to the battlegroup.

The F/A-18E/F Super Hornets took up positions and readied for missile interception, both carrirs launching RIM-7 Sea Sparrow Missile missiles, as did the Battleships, to ensure battlegroup safety towards any incoming threats.

Aircraft were lined up on the decks of the carriers Europa, Ares, Sentry and Dextrous and were fully prepared for their operations. Pilots were in briefings being given information on their specific targets and organized into their respective strike packages which would ensure the survival of a majority of the aircraft.

While this was happening, crews on board the surrounding missile cruisers and destroyers prepared missile launch systems to fire their Phoenix cruise missiles against the coming fortifications on the coastline as well as Red Tidean anti-aircraft weapon positions.

The not-so crowded amphibious assault ships plowed slowly through the water as soldiers prepared their own equipment and ran diagnostics of their vehicles. They loaded them onto the many landing craft which would take them ashore, but they would have to wait until the call came to move from command.

Aequatian ground forces would need to wait before they were to be sent to fight until other forces could establish an airport facility so that military airlift aircraft could bring them into the fight.

OOC:What are the stats on the SUPER SPARROW?(post in OOC thread).

IC:The Red tidean Tu-22s couldnt do much about the incoming Pheonixes. They couldnt do evasive manuevers because they were lugging along three big cruise missiles per plane. They couldnt even turn on their jammers because they knew the Pheonixes could lock on to the source of the jamming. The only thing they could do was launch countermeasures... which succeeded in decoying a missile away. The other 7 kept on coming and five Tu-22s(out of a 160) were blotted out, one had been double targetted and it erupted into three pieces that were torn to shreds. The other fours CM-3 warheads detonated, annihilating those planes and killing all aboard. Yet 155 flew on towards missile range, they were 400 kilometers out away from the center and closing quickly, in a half a minute they would be in missile range.

Unfortuanantly for the Marxist States Bombers, they had been detected long before they reached Red Tidean Waters, the Over-The-Horizon RADAR detecting them when they were still hours away. If the bombers were abobe 95,000 feet, they found themselves subjected to a hoard of missiles. The MDM-5B Ultra-High Altitude SAM was designed for such purposes... and up to 1,500 of them leapt into the sky. Their giant rocket boosters lifting them up to 80,000 feet before their SCRAMjets kicked in. They accelerated up to mach 6, screaming up to the hapless bombers, the 100 pound warhead ready to blow them out of the air. The bombers couldnt possibly make evasive manuevers, because they were carrying full payloads. They could try jamming and firing off decoys. But even then they would onl succeed in driving some of the missiles away.

The air-sea battle...
The Tu-22RTs reached launch distance for their CM-3 Cruise Missiles. First to go were the ones slung under the wings, all 310 of them. They fell about 2 or 3 feet before their rocket engines ignited, shooting them up to mach 3.3, screaming towards their targets.

Then the bomb bay doors swung open, and another 155 CM-3s were sent on their way. Then the bombers shut their doors and simultaneously turned around and went to afterburners, trying to get out as fast as possible.

The Northern Anagonian Fleet would have, by-now, been contacted and would have responded by now by launching two ings of intercepters and fighters for protection, and engaging the incoming Tu-22RT's with massive waves of Sea Sparrows and Harpoon Missiles. Fighters would have accompanied the incoming missiles without much doubt.

The Motherland Fleet would be having some panic, however the carriers and Battleships would have engaged their Type IV Microwave Tactical Jammer. This nifty jammer would engage High Frequencies of Microwaves, directed at many, many specific targets. It would be almost like an Advanced Modified AEGIS system fit for almost ship class.

Each Carriers Sea Sparrows launched within a timly manner, their gatling defense guns would have aimed proper towards enemy tagerts, and their decks full of fighters would have begun launching by now, if not to save fighters, to save the fleet. Many submarines would have surfaced, launching some Harpoons towards the massive wave of missiles. If they were bunched together properly, they could be shot.

The Battleships guns would have aimed, and many unsused Flag guns would have started to fire, making a cloud of explosive material for the bunched missiles. Their AA missile launchers undoubtably aiming and firing with much fevor.

It would be seconds that would tell this battle, if their scramblers worked, if anything worked. It was up to the jammers now....and missiles...and the flak cloud.

The first transport to arrive at Alerov circled briefly, and a string of paratroopers were dropped. They drifted to the ground to help secure the airport.

The other nine C-1s would then begin to land, rolling down the runway and parking one at a time. The paratroopers began to unload from the transports. Fifty from each, and behind them came plenty of supplies which would get stacked up wherever convient.

The Captain in charge of the detachment is a female, a house cat looking anthro that looked too petite to be in the military. She marched across the tarmac towards whatever Red Tidean representitive is present.

The Captain saluted off-handedly and trotted over to the FAT-V. A pair of Lieutenants followed, obviously her staff. They would all climb in. Captain (The name on her uniform says Myers) spoke up, "Okay Colonel. We brought along some shoulder-fired SAMs and enough ammunition and supplies to keep us in the field for a month. We remember the incompatiability of our ammunition."

She looked down at some notes she'd brought along, "I brought five hundred with me, that's five companies of airborne infantry. Each company of one hundred soldiers is fully independant and can serve various roles. If you feel someone is going to come across your border, then we can deploy a company or two there, or if you think they're going to paradrop in, we can try to prevent that also. We're yours to command Colonel."

Most of the Missiles would have been jammed and made inferior as they either exploded in the air, or fell into the ocean. However, around 250 of the missiles would have penetrated the concentrated flak cloud with little or no damage. The Sea Sparrows would have managed to kill nearly 148 of the missiles, but 102 remained. The gatling guns would have taken out about 22 of the missiles, the rest would have made their mark.

One Battleship was severely damaged, the Anagonia was moderate damaged, and the other two Battleships were in moderate to mild damage. The fleet would have halted and started to turn as they would have begun resuce operations. The Motherland having a hit to one of her lifts, and the side of her deck. Flames bellowed as the severely damaged Battleship started to tilt......but thankfully didn't roll over. The Captain managed to get flooding under control, however it was stuck, and useless.

DAMAGE/LOSSES

-XCV-2 Motherland Mildly damaged (One lift destroyed, side of deck damaged. Fires contained)
-XCV-1 Anagonia Moderate Damage (Forward main launchers obliterated, two remain operational. Bridge damage, side damage, light fires contained, some aircraft destroyed, two on take-off. Flooding contained.)

-Battleship 004 Damaged severely. Sinking averted, but non-operational.

-Other Battleships not damaged as much. One with a non-operational main cannon, other with light side damages and moderate deck damages. All contained. No sinking reported.

x200 Sailors lost, 400 injured

TRANSPORTS

Two severely damaged, four midly damaged, three sunk, and many more slightly damaged.

The Colonel nodded, "Captain," a pause, as the Colonel read the tag, "Myers, we honestly dont know where to deploy you. We can assure you that we once the enemy lands your battalion," 500 people(or in this case, Anthros) was the number of men in a Red Tidean Battalion, "Will be deployed the first opportunity we get. We dont really know where they are going to land. The North-Eaastern Mountains, Western Wastelands, and Eastern Jungles is out. That leaves the Northern hills and Southern grasslands. Which, mind you, are on the opposite sides of the country. We will get you to one side as fast as we can once, if, the enemy lands, maybe by helicopter."

The Colonel was precisely correct. This was the 1st Batallion of the 1st Airborne Infantry Division. One of elite Felucan units.

"Well sir, we can go anywhere you like. The hills would make for excellent ambush potential, but if you have enough artillery up there with good spotters you can hold out with just a few units. It sounds like you could use help on the southern front. Tell you what Colonel, we can deploy First and Second companies to the south, and Third and Fourth to the north. Fifth will stay here to serve as a mobile reserve to react wherever needed. Is that acceptable, sir?"

The Fleet had been delayed for about half a day concerning the damages taken from the previous engagement. Grand Admiral Jeff Vladikov was busy looking over reports of the previous battle, what had gone right and what had gone wrong, and assesing the damages and steps taken to overcome the damages. His hand rubbed his forehead, he wasn't at all pleased with the losses, nor with the damage sustained to the Anagonia.

The desk light shined down on the paper he was looking over, sounds of life aboard a carrier minimal to the ears. Turning the paper over, someone had writted him a short letter, he read it while tapping the pen on the desk. He sighed, finishing.

"Fine, Thor, fine. We'll continue."

High Captain Richard Thor was in Command of the XCV-1 Anagonia. Somehow, he had managed to send a personal letter on the back of a damage report to the Grand Admiral. He had also requested that he talk to him later on in the day.

Jeff could do that, it was for an old Comrade anyway.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

One Hour later

Jeff Vladikov was standing on the flight deck of the Motherlandp as he looked at the waves passing by the Strike Carrier on her beautifully made sides. He stood at ease as he he heard behind him a chopper land, not caring to look. The minutes past as he observed the waves, even catching a glimps of a Akula makings its patrol barely beneath the surface of the waves.

A hand rested on his shoulder, and Jeff looked back to see an old friend standing there. He turned around, and as Richard offered his hand, he shook it.

"Nice to meet you Richard," he smiled, "What brings you on my ship?"

"Oh the usual, Admiral, just a certian idea for the situation were in."

Behind them a F-14 Tomcat took off from the deck, the noise not seemingly to interrupt their hearing or talking.

"I suspect," Richard said louder, "that we'll need fleet backups immedietly!"

"Why is that?" Jeff asked loudly, the tomcats engines dieing down as it flew away.

"Because, Admiral-" Richard waved a hand to the fleet and to the battleship some miles back as he spoke normally "-we need the ships and troops. Its gonna be hell trying to take a beach-head, and we are in dire need of reinforcements already."

"Sure, sure," Jeff nodded, "I take that as a foundation for it. But what about the ships already here? What about the other carriers?" He sighed, looking at the return gaze from Richard, and waved his hand, defeated. "Fine, but what do you think we need."

Richard nodded, "I believe we need two more Carrier Fleets readied for back-up. They don't need to be here immedietly, just readied for backup." He looked away, thinking, then looked back. "Also, I would call the Second Battlegroup to action as soon as we start our runs. We might even consider asking them back to the fleet. Its a better thing to have more ships, than less."

Jeff Vladikov nodded, "Alright, I'll consider it, and I'll make a request for back-up fleets made avaliable. You get back to the Anagonia and get those repairs done!"

Richard smiled, saluted, and went back to the waiting chopper.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Motherland Battlegroup had been moving along now since three hours ago. They had just finally reached the 100 Kilometer mark, and an E-2 Hawkeye had been launched from both carriers to scan the horizons from a distance. A few wings of fighters, and even a few interceptors were launched. The Troop transports were now behind the fleet, having learned their lesson from trying to hurry.

The only thing in front of the fleet was the many hidden cruise missile and attack submarines, all waiting for the order to strike.

The Aequatian task groups reached the 100 kilometre position and took up their own spot on the battle line. Vice-Admiral Graham read the reports of the damage done to the Anagonian vessels by the Red Tidean missiles and turned to the comms officer, "Ensign, I want our fleet tenders to move over there and help in any way they can to repair the damage done, we need our ally prepared for action as soon as possible."

"Aye Aye, Sir!" was the reply as the communication was sent and the fleet's tenders broke from the formation and steamed towards the damaged ships.

The fleet's destroyers took up their positions to act as an anti-aircraft barrier between Red Tide forces and the coalition aircraft, their vertical launch systems replacing the age-old flak gun. Behind them were the cruisers, also carrying anti-aircraft missiles, but this time preparing to launch cruise missiles against targets on the shoreline. Each of the eight Advance-class cruisers fired twenty five missiles while the two smaller Aquila-class ships each fired ten, the 220 weapons were launched in successive waves of twenty missiles each, the Phoenix cruise missiles flew towards targets sitting on the Red Tide shoreline, most loaded with a bunker buster submunition for attacking the fortifications that would prove to be the largest obstacle in the coming landings. The fleet's battleships moved to a closer 80 kilometres along with a screen of destroyers in order to bring their 460mm guns to bear on the shorelines, firing both Armour-Piercing rounds and High-Explosive High-Capacity which would convert the beaches to the surface of the Moon. 96 Carrierborne F-36 Viper fighters were collectively launched from the fleet's carriers to act in the air superiority role and engage any and all enemy aircraft that were foolish enough to be detected. Each aircraft carried four AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles with two AIM-54 Phoenix long-range missiles and prowled the airspace watching over the battleships as guardian angels would their saints.

General Danail Arachinov is sitting in his desk, shuffling papers. A great number of papers, in fact, almost too many to be possible to some's eyes... Airya Wong is waiting impatiently for him, in a bunker in Czardas, her eyes darting between him and the tactical maps of Red Tide. Finally she says for the umpteenth time: "Well?"

"We've issued our support and we're deploying the task force, but it'll take two days to arrive at the very minimum," Arachinov responds, not looking up as he continues to look through the pile of papers.

"That's too slow."

"I know that. Unfortunately we can't hurry that kind of thing. The shock troops will be accompanying in transport ships, and the SpecOps will be deployed in helicopters, although we don't know what good they'll do."

"Damn. Well, can't we deploy at very least the aircrafts immediately?"

"We can... although it's kind of risky, they'll have no place to land when they get there. It's a three-hour journey, twelve hundred klicks, and when they arrive to strike they'll be nearly out of fuel."

"We can just send tankers with them, it oughtn't be a big problem." Wong sounds impatient, because she is.

"All right, fine. We'll send out planes first. Then the others can show up after we've given the--" Arachinov passes into some unprintable language here primarily directed at the national leaders of Red Tide-- "a taste of what they deserve."

And, in fact, Red Tide would be getting what Czardas at least believed it deserved. From the island of Silanche, at the edge of the Indian Ocean near where it meets the Pacific, the planes begin to take off, their orders having reached them from base. Even as the soldiers pile into ships setting out for a distant shore, the thousand-odd planes of the Czardaian Air Force are beginning to take off in droves, forming a massive... well, formation... approaching Red Tide at approximately Mach 1, the maximum cruise velocity for heavy planes such as the Hailstorms and AAWACs... The planes will not enter the massive Red Tidean RADAR range for some 1 1/2 hours. In the meantime, it's going to be a long flight...

The C-1s once unloaded would roll down the runway and head north towards home again along with their F-1 Hawk escorts.

They would pass another wave of C-1s in flight heading to Red Tidean territory, and they would begin to land at the airstrip also. This group of twenty C-1s are also loaded down with men and equipment and supplies.

As the ships reached the 100km mark from the Red Tidean Coast... up to FIVE THOUSAND LRASM(Long Range Anti-Surface Missile)-50 of the land based, anti-ship variant erupted off their launchers and screamed towards the Anagonian and Aquatians ships over mach-1. The LRASM wasnt a particularly powerful missile, only a 500 pound warhead, but shear numbers would ensure the missiles would do damage.

Another threat came in the form of the MDM-4 Surface-Air Missile. All the planes RADAR Threat Recievers would have gone beserk as 1,500 RADAR and 1,500 LADAR Antennae locked onto their planes. Each RADAR and LADAR Antennae commanded 10 MDM-4 Surface-Air Missile launchers, each launcher contained 12 RADAR/LADAR Guided MDM-4 Surface-Air Missiles. With a speed of mach 5 and a range of 300 kilometers, the planes were as good as dead as upwards of TWELEVE THOUSAND of these potenet weapons screamed their way up into the air. There was still a goodly amount of them left in their launchers to pick off survivors.

And finally there were the guns, these were 25" Artillery guns that were buried under the ground, their steel blast doors opened, the guns raised out of their holes and fired, all 12 of them. They sent a 25" Armored Piercing slug through the air, reaching through the air to the fleet. Then the guns slinked back under the ground.

First and Second companies would head south towards the grasslands. Third and Fourth headed off northwards to the foothills. Fifth company remained behind at the air base waiting and resting up. They would likely be called in to help support one front or another once the attacks began.

Southern grasslands
The First and Second companies were heading south now to support the front, but have not yet arrived.

Northern hills

Lieutenant Gearing, a wolfhound anthro sat with his back to a tree stump atop one of the larger hills. He was able to look out over the hilly terrain leading down to the northern beach. To his eyes he held a set of binoculars, scanning the horizon. "Man, what I wouldn't give for some sea mines."

Other soldiers also had binoculars and were scanning the horizon for ships and airplanes.

All around him, the Third and Fourth companies of the 1st Airborne Division were digging in. Not in the hills closest to the beach, but rather in the sort of second line of hills overlooking that hilly area where the beach ended.

SAWs were being set up and slit trenches dug, the extra dirt and sand piled up to provide for extra cover as a sort of rampart from which the airborne soldiers could shoot from.

At the edge of the beach where sand ends and long grass begins, claymore mines are deployed and beyond that, a scattering of anti-tank mines.

One thing the Felucans had plenty of were the AT1 anti-tank weapons. They'd brought along quite a few in preperation of fighting armor with a lack of direct cavalry support of their own.

The two hundred soldiers were rather quiet, having taken on the grim mindset of an inevidable attack.

OOC:

Whew, ok....had to think on this for a bit...but I got an idea how to avoid mass pawnage (no pun intended)

IC:

Grand Admiral Jeff Vladikov looked towards his High Commander, and shouted words of defiance. "Initiate Four Phase Defense! Now!"

The High Commander Jurak Connor saluted, and was off in a hurry.

-------------------
Phase One

Immiedietly as the missiles were detected, Phase One began. It derived of the Battleships and Strike Carriers loading up Jammer Missiles (Anagonian Made) that would attempt to its highest purpose to confuse the Missiles into thinking it was their target, or perhaps a larger target, or any other means of making them void of their attack.

Fifteen seconds later, after an automated loading sequence, 96 AJM-22's were launched from missile platforms aboard each of sea vessels. Their mission was two-fold in this case.

First, they would begin emitting Pulses of Microwave distruptions, on many frequencies, to disable any tracking parameters on the enemy missiles. Second, they were to combine their jamming efforts with Phase Two of the Fleet Defense Initiative.

Phase Two

Not two seconds after the Anagonian Jammer Missiles launch, did the two E-3 Hawkeye's begin emitting Microwave Jamming frequencies and DIMS (Directed Intense Microwave Scrambler) towards the incoming threats. It was almost too much for both devices to handle, but they somehow managed to keep up on the hundreds of targets given to them.

The Sea Vessels would have automatically began their Microwave Jamming and Microwave AEGIS Jammers themselves. Attmepting to fool and/or destroy missiles with frequences, guidence directives, and the entire hand-bag of tricks.

The entire jamming process was an attempt for Phase two to begin plans for Phase Three of the Fleet Defense Initiative. They would give a shield in advance and give specific targets for Phase One Defense measures, and leave open a space for Phase Three to begin its specific directive.

Phase Three

The ships defenses, and the three Battleships that remained operational with them, were immedietly following protocal with Phase two by firing off 12 Sea Sparrow's per ship, which would have 60 Sea Sparrows in the air before Phase Three time limit would have run out.

The AJM-22 Missiles, by this time, would have been half-way towards their targets, and would have begun Phase Three Protocol by attempting to bunch the missiles together so Easy Pickings for the missiles, and possibly Flag Cannons and gatling defense guns, could begin if all else failed. Their scrammbler Microwaves would have intensified to near-deadly levels, as intense as could be done without beginning to fry friendly circuits, but in attempt to fry lesser protected circuts of the enemies.

The Last Phase Three directive was to have all defense parameters readied for combat. It would then be possible for the Aircraft in the air to begin jamming manuvers with their Type III Microwave Missile Couther-Measure Systems, and at which time before the beginning of Phase Three would have already begun counter-measures.

This intitiative would directly impact the outcome of the Defense Intiative.

FINAL PHASE - Phase Four

The Last Directive of the Four Phase Fleet Defense Intiniative was to transmit targeting locations for launchers to Submarines and and the Fleet. This would then begin to launch Cruise Missile Strikes, and Harpoon Strikes, towards Inland targets. This initive is the final phase, and would directly impact the how well the Offensive response would be. Thereforee it would be critical to bring all fleet assets to ready,. including Battleship Main Cannons for firing sequences immedietly after the end of Phase Three.

Intern, there would be 24 Cannons (counting the loss of one Battleships main cannon) firing simultaniously at designated targets that were spotted firing towards the fleet. This would also include at least 144 Cruise Missiles, from both Battleship and Submarine assets, heading towards designated targets, which would be hopefully protected by the Microwave Jamming Screen.

OUTCOME
Anagonia
23-01-2006, 21:55
OUTCOME

Most the hundreds of missiles had either been confused, blocked, destroyed, or rather impared by the sensory and frequency pulses that eminated throughout the Microwave Jammer Grid. It was a small victory, however, as many, many more missiles were incoming.

It was definitly a sight to see.

The AJM-22 Missiles had done their job well by grouping the enemy missiles together.. Most had been so cought up with the ARM-22 that many were now trailing off to attempt to destroy them. The ones that remained were either ditched in the ocean as enemy missiles followed, or being currently destroyed.

The Ships defense grid was now taking over. Gatling cannons, even the Age-Old flak cannons were fired. Sea Sparrows were loaded and reloaded to the best of the ships ammunition store. Many missiles were cought just in time and destroyed, the gatling guns streaming across the horizion and hitting many of the missiles as they were incoming.

Fighters began to fire their sorty of missiles to protect themselves, and their Comrades. Luckily, only six fighters were downed by the barrages, four running into or trying to destroy ones going after the E-2 Hawkeye's. The rest were busy attempting to destroy the missiles that were far enough away to do so.

One Battleship in particular in the Motherland fleet had somehow managed to score direct hits within a pack of bunched missiles with a Sea Sparrow and the luck of an automated Flak Cannon. But that Victory was short-lived as four missiles scored hits on its bow and mast, and completely destroyed its aft Main Turret.

However, it did not give up the fight so easily. Its other two operational Main Cannons were busy pounding shore targets and the like, while its automated defenses kept itself busy.

The XCV-2 Motherland was the sight of the show, having destroyed many of the missiles that aimed for her sister ship with lucky shots from gatling guns, or nearly averted disaster by obliterated packs of the missiles. She, too, however was scored hits.

One catapault was severely damaged, and her side landing strip was nearly destroyed by a missile that hit the deck and skipped, exploding off to her side and destroy two On-Deck aircraft. Two other missiles did the same exact thing, although one skipped the deck four times in a row only to hit the ocean and detonate.

The XCV-1 Anagonia was actually having a better time around this battle. Her jammers seemed to be working perfectly as duds hit the deck and rolled only to hit aircraft and scare the shit out of whomever watched. Her gatling guns were having a joyous time aiming and firing at missiles flying by, because most had either missed their mark or were just plain dumb.

However, the worst had yet to come. Some missiles had somehow enagged an alternate tracking system, and were en-route to many transport ships. Four Transports were already damaged by the barrage, yet the worst came when a lucky missile slammed into a Transport and completely obliterate it, leaving no trace of its existance.

The Transport fought back valiantley, however, and engaged with their own set of gatling and jammers. It worked too, as many hit the sides of the ships and pinged back into the ocean or in the air and exploded causing minimal to moderate damage to the ships themselves.

When the missiles ended their barrage, the ships began to retaliate. Obviously the jammers worked better than expected, because one Battleship remained virtually untouched. Her three main guns fired with a fury never before seen. Her shells were High-Impact High-Explosive rounds, loaded specifically for the Four Phase plan. All the Battleships, the rest having only two main cannons operation, followed suit, containing their fires with much haste, and doing their best to engage evasive manuvers as shells fell of their port sides, even hitting their masts.

Two shells nearly missed a transport doing evasive manuvers, and one lucky shell took out the Anagonia's side pad, destroying a couple of aircraft in the process.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Casulties: 10,000 Marines and Sailors injured. 50 Sailors Lost. 500 Soldiers killed. 30 Tanks destroyed. One Transport destroyed by Missile/Shell combination.

XCV-1 Anagonia Damage to side pad, Six Aircraft lost.
XCV-2 Motherland Lift destroyed, only three operational. Catapault having LIGHT damage.

Battleship 003 - Suffered Main Turret lost, and explosion of forward part of ship. Fires under control.
Battleship 002 - No Damage
Battleship 001 - Side damage, minimal.

-Transports-
One Obliterated by Missile/Shell combination. Two slight damaged. Third having moderate damage.

"Thank Kirkuin(Our nations God)! How do they look?"

"They seem to have their side and their brige damaged, but it doesn't look like a total wreck."

"Humm... so it has begun. How long till we get seen by them?"

"30 minutes, 20 if we turn on the afterburner, 15 if we turn on the afterburner and if the current changes into their direction."

"Very well... hoist the white flag, and probably prepare to be searched, remember they don't know who we are. WELL? Hurry up, and inform the men, we don't want them to go into the unknow ill-prepared now do we?"

"Sir! Yes, Sir!"

----Aboard the Anagonia, 28 minutes later----

"Hands up!" Shouted an Anagonian soldier "Now throw us your weapons, or we will take them by force"

"Men, do as he says," Said the Commander in a calm voice. "I wish to speak to your commanding officer, I'm unarmed and and under the aim of at-least 2 soldiers. What danger am I?"

"Very well, but what is the purpose of your..."hearing"?"

"I wish to deliver him a message, that is for his eyes only, a level 15 Classified Information, that means that I must attempt to stop anyone else from reading, I myself haven't read it."

"Humm... OK, I'll go get the Commander"

----The Commander of the Anagonia, Comes to the Scenario----

"You wanted to see me?"Said the Commander of the Anagonia.

"Yes I have a message for you." Calmly said the Mirhuellian Commander "Here it is."

----The Mirhuellian CO gives the message to the CO of the Anagonia----

OCC Note: They came AFTER the barrage of missiles as posted. And as far as Mirhuell is concerned, these men are Rogue Units that seized a transport ship (the crew of the transport ship was also Rogue and will be On trial[Puppet Trial of course])

Richard Thor looked at the Commander of the Mirhuellian "Special Forces" division. It was amazing they had survived the bombardment, but he was damn proud they did. Their troop strength was down a bit, but now...now they'd had backup. He'd respect their minister of defence's request, they wouldn't be used as cannon fodder.

Instead, they'd be used along with the Anagonian Special Forces.

He smiled and patted the Commanders shoulder. "Welcome aboard."

The loud BOOM of Battleship cannons could be heard very loud, and very clear.

OOC:Oh yes, the missiles...

IC:As the missiles approached the mainland, they began to get picked out of the sky by WHIRLWIND Emplacements, dropping the number from 144 to 100, then to 83, and so on. The missiles had aways to go and they would constantly be in range of the WHIRLWIND Emplacements almost through their entire flight. About 6 got through and destroyed 6 of those massive 25" guns.

If the Battleships intended to get the rest, they didnt, the IOWA class had a range of just 24 miles, due to its rather dated guns. The remaining 6 of those 25" guns kept on firing, they were big, modern, Electro-Thermal Chemical(ETC) Guns that could easily cover the 115 kilometers to the enemy battleships.

The Northrop-Grumman Defense Fleet was not the largest branch in the military nor was it the most battle ready. Moving the various carrier battle groups from one side of the Northrop-Grumman mainland unfortunately took time, but for this particular conflict, the Corporation was able to field four carrier battle groups within a somewhat reasonable amount of time. Leading combined fleet, was the Essex Battle Group, with the Nimitz-class carrier, Essex, as the flagship of the battle group and the fleet. This was followed by the Norfolk Battle Group and the Pascagoula Battle Group along side of one another. Bringing up the rear, was the Newport News Battle Group. Following a little further behind to keep out of the way of the larger vessels were various transport and supply vessels for when the time to land finally came.

Vice Admiral Thomas Long gazed out of the windows of the bridge at the long flight deck of the Essex. He was not new to naval warfare because he served in the navy nearly four decades already which was beginning to grow apparent by his graying hair. He had fought in several conflicts, including the great civil war, aboard this same vessel as the XO under Admiral Samuel Johnson, who had just recently been promoted to the Chief of Naval Operations.

Long watched the flight crew prepping aircraft for flight and longed to be back in cockpit again. He knew that is was a job for the young and sighed. It’s hell getting old…, he thought as he turned from the window towards the XO. “Commander, what’s our operational status?”

The much younger commander was right beside him with a clipboard. “Battle ready, sir. All aircraft are operational, munitions are loaded and accounted for, and the men are at their stations.”

“Good, how far are we out from the Coalition Fleet?”

“Roughly four hours, sir.”

“Very well. Dismissed.”

The commander promptly saluted which Long returned. The Vice Admiral went back to gazing out the window and doing what he dreaded the most. Waiting.

"Load up the barges, make sure the Anagonians have everything. Ammo, parts, supplies, we have one job in this operation and we are going to do that right!" The communications officer radioed the Anagonia and the Soros, coordinating the supply drop. "Any word on that fleet yet?"
"No, sir. The Senate is still debating, and our telementary hasn't done much to convince them this is worth it." A few minutes later, Captain Anatole watched four smaller ships race from the supply ships towards the Anagonian fleet. "Keep an eye on the radar, anything heads for our boats, blow it out of the sky."

There was a knock on the door, and Felicity Halwell stepped into the Presidents office. "Ah. Have you finished the report? We kinda need to decide this now."
"Yes sir. I've been researching Red Tide, and I think the information I found will be... importaint." She passed a folder across the desk to President Reynolds. The new guard made the mistake of looking over his shoulder at it, and had to take the rest of the day off sick.
"Right. Get this to Senate leadership and if the press interrogates you any more, show them this."

"Sir" The captain turned to face the lieutenant. "The Senate just gave the attack force the green light. Admiral Sutherland is en route now."
"Thank you." Captain Anatole turned back to the window. The game was afoot...

My supply ships are resupplying the Anagonia fleet, they are using smaller boats (barge-size) to shuttle the supplies, so the fleet itself should still be 10 km behind, out of range.

IC:A single RORSAT-2 slid through its orbit over the Pacific, its powerful RADAR transciever bouncing powerful RADAR waves off the the ocean surface. It noted the incoming Minnechusettsfornia and Northrop-Grumman naval fleets. They would wait for all the fleets to be in position then they would launch the second attack. The MDM-4s would have a killing spree with the enemy aircraft once they ventured in range.

The Stoned Ninjas spec-ops raid
The Stoned Ninjas mortar rounds required three launches before it hit the Autogun nest. Said nest was destroyed and its men left laying either dead or mauled. Amazingly, those that were only mauled rose to their feet, picked up their guns and leapt into the trench to help the other soldiers in there in engaging the enemy raiders. As for the machinegunners in the bunkers, no matter how many rounds they lobbbed onto that reinforced concrete bunker, it wouldnt cave. Even worse, multiple Red Tidean 88mm mortars set up a little ways behind the beaches began to fire, the troops manning them began to plop the rounds into the mortars, which came out with a loud 'SCHPLUNK!'.

In addition to the mortars, soldiers wielding the 88mm MDM-1 Anti-Tank Rocket Launchers began to pop up and fire at the Stoned Ninjas men.

"Soldier! Take out those Heavey Machine Guns! They're cut holes in our infantry!" barked Kaiko. "Alright, alright, keep your pants on," muttered the soldier. He aimed the morter on his gun at the nest and open fire.

"Shit!" the soldier yelled, "I missed!" Kaiko looked pissed. "Fine then, take out the tank obstacles! Engineers! Throw up some cover!" An engineer grabbed a strange piece of metal, and ran out from cover. He was cut down in less than two seconds. "Throw up some cover. Yeah right," muttered another engineer."

North Beach, Stoned Ninjas Front

A fireteam from the Fourth Company manuvered behind a small hillcock of sand and got into a position that gave them some more height over the beach. One of the soldiers popped his head up for a second, then ducked back down. "Alright, there's a pretty big cluster of them covering behind the beach obstacles. I see clusters at two o'clock and eleven."

Two of the fireteam had M200 grenade launchers slung under their AR1 assault rifles. They took their own peeks over the hill, then quickly stood up to expose their upper bodies, just to take aim at groups of Stoned Ninjas soldiers hiding among the tank traps.

WHUMP! Each of them fired, sending their fragmentation packages 'downrange' to the enemy.

There were alot of Aquatian Cruise Missiles, to many for all of the WHIRLWIND Emplacements to deal with, MDM-4 SAMs then proved their second function... missile defense.

In a single volley, 124 Aquatian Cruise Missiles were annihilated by a mass of SAMs, then the rest were picked off by a second, smaller, mass of SAMs.

The Aquatian Battleship shells slammed into the beach, throwing up dirt and shrapnel in massive explosions. Hundreds of men died when a bunker took a direct hit and exploded, trenches were wrecked, gun nests were annihilated. However, the enemy Battleships exposed themselves to Counter-Battery RADAR, these tracked the shells while they were in the air and traced them back to their source. The Aquatian Battleships were soon getting very accurate fire from the big 25" guns on the mainland.

Another response was a second volley of LRASM-50s. Another hoard, this time of six thousand missiles, was fired at the Aquatian Fleets. Twelve thousand MDM-4s were launched at Aquatian Aircraft.

Grand Admiral Jeff Vladikov had been busy responding to messages from Coalition ships for some time now. He had observed the Aequatian Fleet Tenders move along-side his ships and tend to the damaged ones, it was a very welcomed sight for him. His High Commander, Jurak Connar, was busy directing supplies and repair equipment for the Motherland as they came aboard when one of the Fleet tenders moved to its side.

He sighed, help at last. For the first few hours of this war the Anagonian fleet had seen the worst part of it. Nearly twenty-thousand Soldiers, sailors, pilots, and marines were already dead. The Anagonia had almost lost its entire fighter contigent, the Motherland had been better off, but her crew grieved with the rest of the fleet nonetheless.

In all honesty, Jeff couldn't take much more of this. The Anagonia was being pounded into oblivion in the missile attacks, and Vladikov was about to call her back. She was almost beyond repair, and if those fleet tenders hadn't arrived, he would have immiedetly called her back to home.

He looked at another piece of paper on his desk, it was a report from Minnechusettsfornian fleet. They were coming, good, and so was the Northrop-Grumman fleet. Anagonia couldn't hold out much longer on its own, it needed these assets NOW.

He rubbed his hand through his hair, he could swear there were more grey hairs than there ever were in his entire life. He signed a few papers and did some more, then stood and went out of his quarters and headed for the bridge, saluting a marine and two crewman on his way.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Four Hours Later, Motherland Battlefleet taking Battle Break

High Captain Richard Thor watched on the deck of the Anagonia as a broken Battleships was getting special attention. The Motherland Battle Fleet had shot a yellow flare as the fleet was being repaired and rearmed, hopefully the Tideans understood this as an International break period. He chuckled, they probably didn't, and thats why no defensive measures were let down. However, it was nice to actually concentrate on repairs for once.

He looked to the front of his ship, and noted that many of the Tender repair crews were hard at work with Anagonia's own at repairing the catapaults. They had already managed to rig one to work properly for a few times, and hard at work at making the landing strip more flexable to craft landing.

Half a days job at the most, and he would wait. The Fleet needed a break, and the Transports needed the reapir they were getting.

Alarm clarions broke the silence on board the Europa as well as throughout the other vessels in the fleet. The incoming missiles looked like a menacing cloud on the monitors as they closed in on the ships. The Erschoff-class destroyers sprang to life as the doors of the Vertical Launching Systems burst open as SM-3 missiles with HE-fragmentation warheads and sped off to their individual targets. The SAMs had managed to thin the mass of Red Tidean missiles greatly thanks to their fragmentation warheads which performed surprisingly well against the tightly packed weapons. As the missiles closed in, the radar-controled 30mm Goalkeeper systems opened up spitting forth streams of tracers and high-explosive rounds and while they managed to stop still even more.

However, not all could be stopped as many struck various ships within the task forces. Several of the destroyers shielding the carriers were hit by a few missiles each and suffered only minor damage as their crews hurried to combat the fires that had been started. The same fate had occured to the crusiers, with one of the older Aquila-class vessels, RNS Kingfisher taking a hit close to the waterline and starting to list to port. The most punished ships were the carriers, especially the larger Champion-class carriers which had both taken at least a dozen hits each, the RNS Sentry taking a particularly bad hit on her superstructure along with one of her lifts and defence turrets. While all of the aircraft had been knocked out of the air, many of the pilots and their radar operators had ejected into the water below to be picked up by the helicopters of the nearby destroyers. Those missiles which struck the armour of the battleships did little more than superficial damage, the 25-inch shells on the other hand would do even more. While the warships' defence missiles were able to knock a few of the shells from the air, those that survived ripped into the sides of the battleships, RNS Indefatigable took much of its damage on its helicopter flight deck and hanger, immediately destroying its anti-submarine warfare capabilies. The fleet was in shambles as crews rushed about their vessels containing fires, repairing damages and rearming weaponry, Graham knew that the coalition's ships would take much more damage unless they got ashore and brought the fight to the Red Tideans. He worried about why it was taking so long for the other members to bring their forces into the fight.

The mobile Surface-Surface Missile Launchers had immediatly moved after emptying their missile tubes. Now they were reloading, not with LRASM, but with the bigger, faster, slightly longer ranged CM-1 Cruise Missiles. These were armed with a much more powerful 1,500 pound warhead, though not as powerful as the CM-3 and CM-2 Cruise Missiles. It had a top speed of mach 3.5 and a range of 250 kilometers. It would take time to reload however. But they were not really concerned, the launchers were well within the umbrella of SAMs and WHIRLWIND Emplacements.

IC:The Red Tidean forces had reloaded their launchers... now, for the third time, Surface-Surface Anti-Ship Missiles screamed down towards the hapless fleets. This time, however, they were faster and had more powerful warheads. Unfortuantly they were bigger to. As the last Anti-Ship Missile left its mobile launcher, said launchers scurried off to alternate firing positions. Once there they would begin reloading... this time with something much more ominious, the Red Tidean R-85 Tactical Ballistic Missile. With a range of 200 kilometers, this SRBM was had one of the best accuracies in the world. It was capable of delivering conventional and WMD warheads with a whopping CEP(Circular Area Probability) of 10 meters... accurate enough to strike a medium sized ship.

The Czardas Airfleet was detected when it was 1,000 kilometers off by the Red Tidean Over-The-Horizon RADAR. But as soon as it got within 100 kilometers, they would face a un-survivable hoard of SAMs.

The Red Tidean Navy, however, was still sitting at port in the Southern Naval Bases. It had not even prepared to sortie.

The engineers worked competently but hastily on alongside the Aequatian and Mirhuellian teams to conduct whatever repairs they could on the Anagonian carriers. Thanks to the supplies from the Soros, it now appeared that a handful of the aircraft that had been damaged on-deck might possibly be repairable given time ((Your choice, very doubtfully more then 5, nothing that was in the air)). First aid was being applied to sailors and troops, and patchwork repairs were underway. All the while the possibility of another imminent attack loomed over the fleet. A few kilometers away, the Sea Sparrows on the three Minnechusettsfornian frigates stood ready in case of such an instance, though if Red Tide fired another full round of missiles they would be woefully outnumbered.
Lieutenant Marshall Rankin was in charge of the repair teams on the Anagonia. "Here." The CO of the Mirhuellian forces handed him a tool, and Rankin was able to make the final adjustment, bringing the lift online ((already mentioned in Anagonias post)).
"Thanks." he said. "You're being quite productive for a handful of troopers." The CO grinned slightly. "My men are just doing what they can."
"That's what's going to change the tide here. That's the point of a coalition, so several groups can all do what they can, and stand up to a stronger or corrupt one. Keep up the good work." He smiled back, and started half-dashing towards the next job. Their fleet was just a few hours away, if they could hold out until it arrived, their chances increased a good bit. But even a support officer knew that raw power would not win this in the end...

With the exception of the few soldiers who accidently got shot at before the guns stopped firing, the Red Tide Soldiers ceased fire those in the trenches got out and approached weapons raised. Once they were in foor reach, the weapons were kicked out of the way. Those still able to walk were forced into the trenches and down them. Those that were to weak or injured to walk were picked up and harshly carried to the back. The commander was slung over the back of a soldier, the dead were left on the beach to rot.

They passed several WHIRLWIND AA/AM Emplacements, just passed these was a dirt road with a bunch of trucks sitting in wait. A few of them were medical trucks. The soldiers forced them into the back of the trucks. Those that were severely wounded were put into the back of the medical trucks and were promptly tended to by medics. Those put in the trucks found Intellegince-Consortium Agents sitting in the front and the back. The ones in the back had SMGs pointed at them.

The trucks began to roll down the road. On their way, they passed what appeared to be a massive line of deployed 175mm Artillery Guns, by then they were 20 kilometers away from the coast. Back at the beach, the radios and weapons were collected and the unconcious body of one of the commanders was discovered. The Commanders was sent back as were the radios and weapons. The weapons and radios would find their ways to a Consortium Precinct where the Red Tidean Consortium Agents would take them apart and (in the case of the radios) try to figure out which frequency and encryption code the Coalition was using.

"Sir" the communications officer reported with a tinge of urgency "we've lost contact with the Stoned Ninja forces." The Captain swore under his breath. "Last we saw of them, several hundred of them were still holding out. That means surely some of them must have been captured. This complicates things." He stared at the floor for a moment. "Make sure the other Coalition forces are aware of this. We should come up with a plan to rescue them, preferably before they get taken far-" He was interrupted mid-sentance by a lout bleeping noise. "We have incoming missiles!"
Anatole did hesitate a moment. "Fire!"
12 sea sparrow missiles streaked from the frigates towards the zone where their firing range overlapped with the shore defenses, aimed to protect the supply barges and the carrier they were docked with. It wasn't much, but hopefully they weren't aiming for the barges, and they would be able to protect that much against stray shots at least.

As the Fleet stood still in repairs still, watching helplessly as an allied fleet was pounded harshly miles away, they had one card up their sleeve that would help them. This card was placed into effect at nightfall, where three Los Angeles Class Submarines were position just rightly to deploy Special Forces onto the scene. Something HAD to be done about their defense grid, something NOW.

The Motherland Battle Group made it seem like they were retreating, even on radar it looked like it, but at a VERY slow pace. Whilst underwater the silent submarines were placed on complete stealth, ensuring that their survival would be upped.

It was a huge gambel, but it had to be done. The Submarines quickly seperated to three parts of the Island, where a Special Forces squad would be released to carry out their duties with their Highly Trained backrounds.

Half of the squadron would be dropping mines by parachute into the harbour and outside its entrance while others would target visible warships that were sitting in the harbour. Major Curtis "Lucky" Garner was a pilot of one of the aircraft that would be conducting a strike against Red Tidean vessels and was feeling quite nervous, those of his generation hadn't yet gone to war and were practically untested in real combat, and despite his lack of experience, he was confident in his training and was ready to perform his duty.

Graham read constant reports of the damages done to the Coalition fleet and was hoping that they would launch the assault soon, its was hell on the troops to be couped up in the transport and assault ships. The Anagonian Motherland Battle Fleet had its alarms going off the hook against these newer, and seemingly better, missiles. They quickly engaged their Four Phase defense plan, launching AJM-22 Microwave Jammer Missiles and engaging defensive manuvers and positions. They had to be severely ready this time, it would be impossible after this moment to get ahead any longer.

The phases went fairly well, launchings of AJM's and Microwave scrambler frequencies were put to the max. Directed intense Microwave scramblers, and the tactic of the AJM-22 trying to bunch the missiles together again. The E-2 Hawkeye's had been launched before hand as the fleet had started to move again, making sure they were well protected by fleet assets before engaging their suprises and tricks. A few fighters had been launched immedietly, but not too many. Only enough to fire off missiles that went with the 60 or so Sea Sparrows that had been launched in defense of the Fleet.

In the end it seemed the screen of defenses had done their dirty work pretty well, or so it seemed after the flak cloud dissappated. However, ten missiles were still en-route, and so began to last ditch effort of the fleet to halt the missiles.

Paladin gatling cannons engaged and, with a combined effort from all the remaining ships, had managed to destroy roughly six of the remaining missiles. However, four made it through, and suddenly the Motherland found herself with a direct hit to the front, completely blowing off her forward launchers, and her crew watching helplessly as the front tore apart and fell into the ocean. Somehow, however, her bow seemed to be roughly intact. Yet, her launcher deck was completely gone.

A transport was nearly hit, yet it flew right through, and nearly 2 meters from, the top of its deck and slammed into the ocean beside. The resulting explosion and wave did moderate damage, a shaken crew, yet they somehow survived with buckets and pumps trying to maintain flood.

The other two missiles made their mark on a Battleship, slamming into its and aft deck and causing heavy damage. It immedietly had to fall behind and take care of its wounds.

Thus another ship was out of the picture.

Damages
XCV-1 Motherland - Forward flight launchers destroyed, only two remain operational. Severe damage but fires under control. Mild ammunition store exposion, otherwise taken care of.
XCV-2 Anagonia - Survived the barrage with minimal to no damage.

Battleship 002 - Heavy Damage, fires almost under control, flooding mild and tilts to stern. Under control, had to fall back.

Casulties
80 Sailors dead, 40 Injured. One transport mild damage, no casulties to transport or crew. One Crew injured from head trama, however.

Captain Samson Diago had his hands full with his Special forces unit, it was approaching 0200 and he was having a rough time swimming in the cold Tidean waters up some stream. His men were crawling in their dark suits behind him. Samson had a MP-2 Eviscerator SMG and an Auto Mag Pistol as his armaments, utilizing them would be an ease. His squad varied in their chosen weapons, but all were ensured to maintain silence among this mission.

What was so unusual about all this was the fact that he was being counted on to ready the landing for the fleet. They were coming fast, and they wouldn't stop. An hour earlier he noted huge fireballs from the fleet, they having been attacked again. Samson wanted to make sure this would stop immedietly, he had to ensure that the Red Tideans were to be disarmed as quickly as possible.

But, for now, he and two other teams in various locations were sneaking into the island nation as silently as possible. He had to make sure his entry was perfect, just as he trained, going as slow as possible to ensure that he wasn't spotted.

All of the beaches were fortified, however, there were stretches of coast on he North-Western side that were not defended, mainly they were 100 meter wide beaches, with a almost vertical, 85 foot cliff inbetween the beach and the hills. The cliffs could be scaled with proper equipment, but even if the speacial forces could scale the cliffs, they would have a hell of a time taking out the 1,500 Batteries of MDM-4 SAMs, the 800 Batteries of SSM Launchers, and the six 25" Guns(which were, by the way, still firing). Each Battery was gaurded by at least a Platoon(50 men) of soldiers, more often a Company(100 men), there were a few that were gaurded by a battalion(500 men). The 25" guns were gaurded by TWO battalions. Plus, they were not concentrated, each battery was spread across the northern coast. The odds were against the Spec-Ops teams.

Samons plan wa to specifally come from behind on the fortified positions, and specifially attempt to spot the turrets and batteries with Lasers (The kind you use to call in air-strikes, in other words). By now, it was 0230 hours and Captain Samson Diago was having a hard enough time crawling through this mud, but it would be two fold for the teams as they slowly peaked their heads up from some odd miles up the stream, looking around and crawling up silently to get into a prone position. He would put on his infer-red goggles and gaze about, waiting to give his team the all-clear.

Second Anagonian Battlefleet

The Second Anagonian battlefleet, comprised of four Battleships and two carriers, with a varity of submarines for fleet protection, had somehow made it into a position to directly hit one of the lesser defended, if not at all defended, beaches in the North-Western part of the Tidean Island. Two battleships had made their way with the twelve or so transports as escorts just five miles from the shore line, stopping in near shallows so they could turn around and going broadside, aft end point towards each other as the Transports were given the green light to begin landing procedures. Hopefully this would go off without a hitch, as they were doing their best to keep hidden...

Unfortuanantly, just because the beach wasnt being defended, didnt mean it wasnt being monitored, the cliffs featured hidden Infrared Cameras, the massive heat generated by the Battleships and big tranports gave them dead away. The beaches were also small, so there were dozens of 175mm artillery batteries that the beach was in range of upwards of three hundred 175mm guns, one-hundred thirty 130mm guns, and sixty 105mm guns. Soon a curtain of shells were pounding down on the beach. The 25" guns way inland rotated and began firing on the Battleships. A Infantry Brigade being held in reserve was dispatched to the area.

The Spec-Ops men saw a bunch of farmers, they had arrived on a Tech-Com Corporation farm during the night shift. Tractors were moving around. A few of them could be spotted as Tech-Com Corporation Security Personnel, with their M-100 Assault Rifles strapped over their backs.

The Battleships began to quickly begin evasive manuvers, shells erupting in the water beside and near them. Their turrets, already swiveled for broadside control, began opening fire with their combine 18 Mark 7 16-inch/50-caliber guns. They fired High Explosive rounds directly towards the gun emplacements, and behind them a few minutes later, submarines began launching Cruise Missiles after having target telementry from both the Battleships and transports.

A massive wave of 24 Cruise Missiles gave air, basically a test to see if any SAM emplacements were giving rounds to ensure fighter craft safety.

A few transports were being bombarded vigorously with shells, two being hit against the sides and tilting a bit, only to recover with moderate damage.

Far off, seeing that one of the battleships had a hit on its aft-deck side causing minimal damage, the remaing two Battleships began to close, and engage and fire 4 Tomahawk Cruise Missiles, and 2 Harpoon missiles each. Their guns would be in range in about 10 minutes at full 35 knots speed.

The transports themselves bgan to attempt evasive manuvers, two nearly reaching the beach only to have a hit in front of them that splashed and nearly gave their captains a heart-attack. However, mnay more transports were being given minimal to moderate damage, and would attempt to hurry their evasive runs to slam the beaches and begin drop-offs.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Samson Diago didn't like what he was seeing. The farmers/tractor workers could easily be designated as civilian, and he wouldn't dare to engage them. He gave a hand signal to his Lieutenant, who waved a hand in a slight motion to their squad sniper. Jason Kulov carried a SR-48 Sniper Rifle System, Tactical Version with advanced suppression system. He slowly made himself up the muddy way and grasped his sniper rifle from his back, looking to Samson for targets as he pointed them out, and aimed his infer-red scope system towards a few guards.

Lieutenant Danton Iski slowly came up proned too, giving backup sniper support with his CAR-24A1 Combat Assualt Rifle. He placed the advanced suppression silcer on the barrel with quick and silent ease, aiming his scope towards another guards head. They both fired quickly, aiming for two other guards head and pulling the trigger.

Hopefully the advanced suppression would make it sound like the wind...

The Czardaian planes have finally reached range for a strike, or 200 km. As per orders, Red Tidean military bases, SAM and Whirlwind emplacements, and other suspected missile sites are targeted by a massive rain of fire from the sixty Hailstorm heavy bombers. Each bomber has a 45,000-kg payload, allowing for the carrying of huge numbers of missiles and bombs. True, it does slow them up a good deal as well, but with the massive engines this is not so much of an issue.

The bombers have been configured with 'Firetail' LRASMs among other things, each one carrying 54. They launch all of these 54 now, sending 3,240 missiles towards the Red Tidean coast, hopefully to give the suffering Anagonian fleet a break.

Meanwhile, the Czardaian fleet is still a day from Red Tide, but approaching fast, at over 30 knots...

The Battleships were soon found that evasive manuevers attracted the use of a different type of shell. The Military had come up wth the ingenious idea of making a Anti-RADAR shell, like the HARM, the shell had miniature fins that allowed them to adjust their direction in flight, they locked onto the very radio waves being emmitted by the battleships RADAR.

The Cruise Missiles were promptly shot out of the sky by upwards of 50 missiles and WHIRLWIND AA/AM Emplacements. It should have long been obvious that sending aircraft in would be suicidal. The smaller artillery shells continued to rain down, they were using alternating between High-Explosive, Hard Impact shells(to sink the transports and landing boats) and High-Explosive Fragmentation with VT Fuses(to kill any personnel).

The Special Forces snipers blew the brains out of the Tech-Com Personnel. None of the farmers even looked up, they didnt hear anything and didnt pause.

The Battleship 005's Captain had not forseen these new shell ideas, and having seen the Cruise Missiles being blown out of the sky, he would promply direct the jammers to activation. Microwave Scrambler signals, strong enough to give false readings beside the ships themselves, were activated just as a shell impacted its side. Anti-Radar frequencies were engaged to cloak the frequencies themselves for a short distance. The battleships main guns would engage the beach turrets as best as they could, firing High-Impact shells directly at a few that fired off rounds on the beach.

Battleship 006 had a difference of strategy, altough engaging its microwave scramblers and jammers, it had its radar tower torn off. Luckily, the watch tower would now be used as Saliors trained in the artillery arts would coordinate the Battleships aim towards the beach and the implacements they saw.

These new findings were directed towards the other ships in the vacinity. The two other battleships were smart, and disengaged their radar systems and calculated with link data from telemetry targeting when the bombardment started. They, too, used their towers, and would ultimatley begin to fire their combined 18 Main Guns at specific targets.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Transports were in HELL. Once they landed on the beaches thousands of marines were immiedietly dropped off, including tanks and the like. The Transports with supplies stayed behind with the main fleet, out of harms way. Many casulties would come from the beach shelling, however once the M102 "Dominance" Main Battle Tanks were released, they would quickly aim their 2 155mm smooth bore cannons at the guns that stuck out, and fired. Their missile packs were fired also, to engage the enemy without having fear of SAM protection.

Tank Commander Frank Johnson was such one in his M102, at the far end of the line of transports that landed. Blood and guts were sprayed out on the beach as Marines ran for their lives for cover, even behind the tanks themselves. Hopefully the thirty M102's that had been deployed here would quickly begin to pound the turrets into oblivion with their added punch of missile packs.

Other types of tanks, including M3A3 Bradley's and M1A2 Abrams were deployed also, along with T-72's and M60A3 Patton's. All combined their firepower towards the turrets for Marine Protection, who themselves were firing off rocks and morters as their comrades were being blown to bits.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Samson motioned for his men to continue, scouting the area as they army crawled forward. They would start to Crouch and slowly walk with weapons aimed, their relative sniper keeping a good eye around them as their last team member came from the mud with his designated weapon and kep a sharp eye out.

Captain Samson Diago's squad would attempt to stay in the dark.

OOC:How so?

IC:The relentless pounding of artillery guns continued. By now the Infantry Brigade(5,000 men) had arrived, rocket soldiers aimed their MDM-1 88mm Anti-Tank Rocket Launchers at the top of the tanks, where the armor was most thin. Machinegunners let loose with their Light Machine Guns, Heavy Machine Gunners began to set up tripods for 15.5mm HMGs, and 88mm mortars joined in the continuing chorus of artillery.

Millimeter wave counter-battery RADAR traced the artillery shells back to the battleships, adjusting 25" guns as nessecary. Word came in to the Red Tideans that a Mechanized-Infantry Division(20,000 men) was en-route with tanks and APCs. There were casualties now that the battleships were finally returning fire, fifteen 175mm guns exploded, taking their crews with them. But the shelling continued.

The Special Ops Men discovered what they should have known, they were on a farm... a wheat one it appeared. It was inevitable however, that one of the farmers looked up and saw the dead bodies of their gaurds. With a shout, he turned and ran. Intending to do as they had been told to do if anyone had been murdered... contact the rest of the gaurds.

Incoming Czardian Missile Volleys were met with SAM volleys, Czardian Missiles dropped down to approximately 2,000, then 1,300... As they got really close to the coast, WHIRLWIND Emplacements opened up also bringing down the cruise missiles numbers. But it was mostly in vain, there were simply to many.

Although the nearest significant Military Base was dozens of miles inland(any cruise missiles that tried to make it there were killed by the multitude of WHIRLWIND Emplacements along any possible flight path), the MDM-4s and WHIRLWINDs took a tad of a beating. Targetting the individual Launchers was a waste of time and ammunition, unfortuanantly the enemy was smart enough to target the Batteries Command Posts. Approximately two hundred MDM-4 Launchers went off line when their command posts were struck. Targetting the WHIRLWIND Emplacements, however, was a UTTER waste of ammunition. Those positioned on the coast were completely annihilated, but they were cheap, could be quickly rebuilt, and had no manpower requirements(being mostly automated).

"Sir, enemy casualties are estimated at being fairly light..."

Captain Siobhan White cuts off the report with a curt nod and turns his attention back to the RADAR displays. With the massive AWACS radar range, they can already see the Red Tidean coast and the battle going on there... White has pulled up a link with the Strikers this time and gives a few orders.

"Begin launching cluster bombs towards Red Tidean beachhead defenses as soon as we get in range. Meanwhile, use passive radar signals to pick up the Whirlwind control centers, and throw whatever we've got at them... make sure you use it carefully though."

As the air armada reaches about 120km from the Red Tidean coast, the three hundred Strikers begin launching their cluster bombs towards the Red Tidean defenses. A total of 1500 cluster bombs in all, guided by radar and infrared towards the gun and missile emplacements on the beachhead itself, are sent downwards towards the Red Tideans.

As the battle goes on, the Czardaian ships are now 22 hours from Red Tide2, and closing.

However, when the Czardians were at 150 kilometers, the Red Tideans retaliated against them. The Czardians were actually 150 kilometers INSIDE Red Tidean SAM range by that time. Therefore, once again, twelve thousand SAMs lept out of their launchers and screamed, at Mach-5, towards enemy aircraft.

Once some of the turret implacements were out, the thousand or so men could only do one thing....move forward. The shells fell beside them, in front of them, and in back. But they would not stop, they would not halt. Tanks beside them erupted in fireballs, HUMVEE's were blown from the face of the earth. Medical transports were hit, men were killed. Medics were having a helluva time trying to grab the wounded, and stay from the fire.

However, as they moved forward up the beach, they remained strong, and consistant. Vigiliant top the fire around them, the hell that was with them. They knew that more transports were coming, more men, more backup. They were the front froce, they had the mission of taking ground.

They would too, for in the air they heard the fall of Battleship shells, blasting away at the enemies positions. One Marine looked back to see a Battleship hit on its front, but it was nothing, just a war wound. They were strong, their armor stronger. Even if one sank, two more would come. The Battleships never halted their fire, they continued, and continued, trying their best to save their fellow Brethren.

It was hell. Frank Johnson witnessed one M102 beside him directly hitted by some type of missile. The turret looked like it blew up, but after the explosion cloud ended a second later it was just a scratch, a huge hole almost entering the cabin albiet, but its tank roof was covered with armor, and it would survive. The only thing to stop the behemoth was a lucky shot to its tred, and then it was a sitting duck, firing off to the cannons above the beach.

Somehow, Frank's crew was getting the best of the fire, surviving as missiles pinked from its front and onto the sands below. Bullets being rekoshe'ed off of its touch armor. The M102 was one hell of a fighting machine, even in its weakest parts it managed to substain those precious lives inside.

There were at least a thousand marines, perhaps five thousand, perhaps more, that survived the bombardment. They had their mission, they had to go through with it. It was their duty. They had to find a way.

Frank commanded his unner to aim towards two specific guns. The turret swiveled, aimed, and fired two XM1007 Tank Extended Range Munitions (TERM) (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/erm.htm) towards the gun emplacements. They could be guided by any means, especially that of the tanks guidence. It would hopefully do wonders of damage to the cannons themselves.

----------------------------

Casulties so far
-2,500 Marines wounded/KIA/MIA
-8 Tanks destroyed, one M102 MBT, three M1A1's, two M60A3 Patton's. and two T-72's.
-Two Transports destroyed after releasing cargo.
-Battleship 005 Suffered hit to bow, minor damage and fire under control.

One of the many benefits of having an AAWACS aircraft manning the skies over a battle, at whatever range, is its ability to concentrate a strong polarized electromagnetic beam within a narrow range. Most normal AWACS aircrafts are able to knock out cruise missiles from over 200 km with a beam that simply destroys the electronics inside the missile, sending it plunging into the sea. Czardaian AAWACS, on the other hand, are quite different: far larger than a 747, with hundreds of mounted countermeasures and missiles alongside their massive RADARs, their packages are capable of knocking out even the missile launchers and playing with enemy radars from afar. And with six AAWACS planes in the air, along with 120 Kestrels with radar jamming capabilities... the Red Tidean missiles never have a chance.

The six planes begin simply focusing their beams, sweeping them across the incoming missiles and watching them disappear one after another from the radar screens as their communications are cut and they plunge into the sea just seconds away from their launchers. As Kestrels employ their radar jamming to knock out the very few missiles that get past the AAWACS targeting, the EM systems turn on the launchers themselves, disabling all communications with the detected SAM launchers.

Meanwhile, the Czardaian planes have reached range for the cluster bombs, which they proceed to launch on the beachhead (as described above).

The Anagonians turning off their RADAR had one major disadvantage... they couldnt fire their Sea Sparrows while like that, the Sea Sparrows depended on the battleships RADAR. Not that it would help in what was about to happen.

The SSM Launchers had loaded their R-85 Ballistic Missiles. The launchers began to raise, but instead of raising to a 20 degree angle(as they did with the cruise missiles), they raised to an 88 degree angle. The men inside the launchers shut their windows and pressed the LAUNCH button... and 5,000 R-85 Tactical Ballistic Missiles armed with a 2,000 pound warhead leapt sky ward... climbing, climbing, climbing... all the way up to 100,000 feet... then tilted over and came down at Mach-8. The missiles did not leave the atmosphere, meaning space based Anti-Ballistic Missiles couldnt touch them, the SEA SPARROWs were completely incapable of intercepting the Ballistic Missiles and, worse, the missiles had a pre-programmed inertial/GPS Guidance combination... meaning they COULD NOT be jammed. With an CEP of 10 meters, the battleships and carriers would be easy targets. If the enemy had SM-3s, they would be able to target the missiles, but all indications were that the Anagonians did not have SM-3s(which were also RADAR guided anyways)... although the Aquatians did.

"Apparently the Red Tideans are firing ballistic missiles... Quaint, isn't it?" White chuckles slightly.

The face of his commander, Air Marshal Karlsen, is visible on the display in front of him. "Yes... you know what to do, knock out their electronics."

"Right." White noses the AAWACS up to 65,000 ft, followed by the remainder of the massive planes, and they begin sweeping through the ballistic missiles with the EM bands once again, sending them plummeting towards the sea.

"I think the Red Tideans are going to have to get used to our presence here," White smiles.

The One thing the enemy forgot was that the Carriers did NOT cut off their radar, nor had they ever. Easily loading their Sea Sparrows they locked onto the enemy threat, and lauched a cloud of 32 of the buggers heading towards the fastly approacing threat. It was a risky procedure, using interception missiles for such high flying ballistic ones, but it could succeed. All the Captains could do was cross their fingers...

....and the result was better than expected. The Missiles didn't do anything as they themselves seemed to go dead and plumit into the sea, along with the odd looking ballistic missiles. The Fleet was SAVED! Nearly every crew member jumped in their places hearing this, and it was all thanks to the Czardians!

The battleships HAPPILY turned back on their radar's, and continued their bombardment of the shore-lines. They seemed invincible now.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Captain Samson Diago aimed towards the running, screaming man and shot him with a silenced weapon in a place that would paralyze him, knocking him uncouncious hopefully as he hit the ground. It was all he could do to avoid detection, and with luck, the man wouldn't be dead.

He signaled the rest of his squad to head towards the tractor the man had run out of, using it as cover as they silently watched for any responses.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Beach force was nearing the end of the beach, would they make it? Would the last fire of anger of a dead battleship save their lives? Only time would tell.

IC: The cluster bombs came in, half aimed for the Infantry Brigade fighting the enemy, the other half on the artillery guns. The guns were towed ones and were deployed, their crews were continuing to service them as when the bombs came down on them. None survived, the guns had been lined up straight, meaning the cluster bombs blew the guns to shreds and killed all of the crews. The 25" guns were still firing, of course, but the smaller guns had been silenced.

The Infantry Brigade was annihilated, the HMGs had been set up and firing for a few minutes when the cluster bombs came. The bombs hit... killing all but a battalion and leaving said battalion maimed. But to the shock of everybody. The battalion of soldiers who were injured... even those to the point where they would die if they didnt recieve treatment, pushed themselves off the ground, not screaming, still firing their guns... something... inhumane driving them on to fight, their faces showing no expression.

The same could be said for the Marines that recieved wounds, they tredged on, never thinking back. Once they came up the hill, they fired to their full fury, aiming towards every target they could find. The tanks came in randomly, but a single M102 aimed its Command gatling gun at the soldiers, and fired, hopefully putting led in the resistance. Anti-Personnel missiles were fired as another M102 came over the hill, it seemed endless for a moment the amount of tanks and men that came.

Many marines were hit, but continued on. They had their objectives in mind, and they'd be damned if they stopped now...

The battalion held out with its fanaticism, but unlike their enemies, the Red Tidean Soldiers were playing it smart, they were pulling back, pausing to fight, pulling back, pausing to fight for time... and then the calvary arrived 2 minutes later. The first MBT-66 Battle Tank came rumbling down the road. The MBT-66 was the primary Battle Tank of the Red Tide Military, it was armed with a 130mm Electrothermal chemical gun, which was 100% more effective and powerful then an ordinary smoothbore gun. But this ETC Gun also featured extra features that increased its power. This tank was merely the first, as more tanks slid out from behind it and into view. They fired their main guns rapidly at the enemy tanks while their co-axial machine guns mowed down infantry. Around this time, the artillery fire began again as the Mechanized Infantry Division had brought Mobile 175mm guns with it.

Along for the ride were APC-45s, their 30mm Autoguns blowing up light vehicles and ripping into mass of marines. Against the tanks, the APCs fired off ATGM-4 'Fire-and-Forget' Anti-Tank Missiles. These, like the American Javelin missile, travelled above the tank, where the armors thinnest, and then shot straight down onto it.

After severely overworking their engines, the Northrop-Grumman combined battle fleet reached the southern side of the island nearly an hour early, but doing this left the supply ships and the various amphibious vessels that still were propeller driven. This had been anticipated though as the five extra frigates and destroyers and the two extra battleships were left behind for their protection. Those vessels would reach the battle zone in a little over an hour.

Back on the Essex, it was decided by Vice Admiral Long that they would protect the Anagonian Motherland Battle Fleet as they repaired their vessels. Therefore, the battle fleet slid into place between the Anagonians and the shoreline. The four aircraft carriers moved into positions the furthest from the island while the rest of the fleet formed an arc around them. Their crews stood at their stations and were ready for whatever came from that island.

"No, Admiral Esteland*, the Northrop-Grummn forces arrived just a few minutes ago."
"It seems." the Admiral said, looking at the considerable larger fleet. "We might actually be able to do something now. You hold back, Captain, we're going to need those supplies sooner then we'd like. Esteland out. Now." he continued. "Lets do this." He stepped up to a large square board of sorts in the back of the room, which displayed relative positions of combatants superimposed on a map, and various other information. He'd been monitoring the situation since before he'd arrived, and he though surely those defenses had to run out of ammo sometime soon, if not already. "Move us in next to the Anagonian fleet and begin operations."
------If the post-at-100km-rule is still in force, consider this a divide.-------
On deck, things sprang into action. 20 missiles streaked from the ships towards the anti-ship missile launchers. The missiles hugged the surface just feet above the water, far below the capabilities of any anti-air defenses. These would test what was left of the shore defenses. If they revealed nothing... well, they would take out 20 launchers. Even as the missiles launched from the warships and the sides of the carrier, 10 Harriers took off from the top. They took a curving course, flying low through the stretch of shore the landing force had been through already. Approaching the battle zone, each of them released a missile, which coasted in towards the approaching formations of Red Tide tanks.
Lastly, a few minutes behind the Harrier formation, a lone Chinook flew across the beaten landscape, taking care not to alert anyone to its presence. Aboard was one special forces unit, 20 soldiers. They did not concern themselves with the battle raging a kilometer or so away. They had one objective only: a truck that had left some time ago from the site of the Stoned Ninja surrender.

Graham immediately called for the Aequatian Marines to launch their assault to bolster the Anagonian landing before anything happened that would allow it to collapse. Major-General Stone was waiting for the call to land since they left Aequatio, he stood on the bridge of the amphibious assault ship Mercer as it moved with the others around it towards the Red Tidean shores where the Anagonians had hit the beach. Landing craft were loaded with soldiers in full NBC protective equipment and were standing alongside their new Lancer tanks, this would be their first time in combat and the Marines hoped they would be as good as their previous vehicles. LIDAR and missile systems watched the skies, even though they knew it was suicide to launch their own aircraft, they also knew that the Red Tideans wouldn't hesitate to launch their own. Alongside the assault ships were the force's battleships and their protective destroyers and although damaged, they were still functional enough for a fight. It would be about a half hour before the Aequatians would hit the beach and join the grind of battle.

-----

Major Garner flew in low to avoid any detection despite the fact he was flying a stealth aircraft, his specific target was a large drydock facility which could be used to repair capital ships, his aircraft was loaded with eight satellite-guided GBU-31 Joint Direct Attack Munitions with 907 kilogram warheads which would certainly put anything it hit out of commission. Thirty minutes to target and he was feeling better that his duty was almost done.

OOC:My ballistic missile attack, being self-guided, still stands you know that?

IC:There were two problems with the missile attack on the SSM Launchers, first, the SSM Launchers were mobile and had moved everytime they launched. Second, the Cruise missiles HAD to pass 70 kilometers inland in order to reach them. The 20 missiles were promptly shot down as soon as they came in range of the many WHIRLWIND Emplacements still standing. The Harriers, dpending on their hieght, were still engaged by MDM-4 SAMs... although the Harriers encountered significantly fewer SAMs then the other Coalition aircraft, only 200 missiles came out to greet them. As for the Chinook, it was engaged multiple times by WHIRLWIND Emplacements due to its height.

The Aquatian Aircraft were still fifty kilometers out from their targets when the RAVEN Class Guided Missile Cruisers picked them up. The RAVEN Class had a RADAR capacity roughly double that of the American AEGIS, and, being equipped with modern supercomputers, several thousand times the processing power. Soon, a few hundred MDSM-4s(the naval version of the MDM-4) came out to greet them.

The Anagonian Marines were being mutilated left and right, yet they continued with their march, hiding behind sturdy armor and falling back to the hills as they carried their wounded with them. The Tanks were a different story, the M102's were specifically designed as a Battle Tank Combatant, dominating the scene by staying sturdy on its path as the missiles exploded above itself. Sure, there were dents in its top turret armor, but nothing that could stop them.

Each munition hit on its forward armor was met with either a huge dent, or just a small one as it was denied entry into the occupants within. They had unspecific armor that held its own, specifically designed to carry the burdons of such a bombardment.

The M1A1's and other tanks didn't fare so well. While most of them seemed to take the bombardment well, they were shunned literally by the Behemoth M102's. Many were halted and exploded, others were minorly hit. Most either had their treds hit, or some other damage going on. Most of the tanks were to survive and retalite with ease.

Frank Johnson was grinning with pride as his tank took bombardment after bombardment of enemy fire. They made the tank well, and the armor worked. He called for two HEAT rounds to be loaded, and two seconds later he aimed at a MBT-66, and fired both cannons towards it. The same was happening with all the M-102's, aiming at one tank, and firing High Projectile rounds and the like. Making sure that Anagonia's "dominance" was truly felt.

Casulties
500 Marines wounded/KIA
5 Tanks destroyed, 3 damaged, 1 under repair.

M102 Damages: One Moderate Damage, main weapons operation but slow speed projected. Two Minimal damage, and the rest no damage.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Motherland Battle Fleet was more than happy to see the Northrop and Coalition fleets come up. They were in dire need of a break and repair, and would take very opprotunity to do so.

Samson Diago was more than pleased to have heard nothing of the guards after a long wait, he motioned for his Sniper to prone and check the surroundings.

Under the rain of various weaponry, the Felucans had been forced out of their positions. The Red Tideans could stay if they wanted, but the Felucan commanders saw no reason to stay in one place while getting hit by missiles or artillery.

And so, 3rd and 4th Companies were manuvering deeper into the hills, seeking out higher ground from which to observe the enemy landing. Afterall, missiles and artillery could keep the enemy off the beach for only so long. The enemy -would- eventually capture the beach and it was best to be prepared and in better positions.

Southern Grasslands
1st and 2nd Companies were dug in with the Red Tidean forces, just waiting. It would seem the southern front is rather quiet. Barren of threats.

Alerov Airbase
The second wave of C-1s were arriving by now from the east. They'd had to go around the battle zone and make a very long approach. Of course, that explained their late arrival and the multiple TC-1 tankers that had to take off from New Feluca and push themselves to catch up and top off fuel tanks.

Arriving were the 1st through 5th Companies of 2nd Batallion, 1st Airborne along with logistical support in the form of ammunition and explosives, AT1s and Pilum shoulder-fired SAMs. Half of the 20 C-1s were filled with supplies after evaluating the threat of invasion. Some interesting suprises would be in store.

The MBT-66s were firing SABOT rounds at velocities that a smoothbore gun of equal and, to some extent, greater size could never hope to reach. They continued to fire, constantly pounding the enemy armor with rounds. The MBT-66s armor was roughly 37% thicker then the Abrams and of different type, a combination of Chobham, Tungsten, and Titanium ensured survivability against alot of the tanks the enemy could field... except the M102s. Until the AT-175s opened fire.

The AT-175s were anti-tank guns so big, they required speacilised tractors too tow them. They were nicknamed 'armour shredders' because they were so effective against tanks. Even better, their 175mm ETC guns fired in a very low, semi-ballistic arch, meaning the shells would hit the tanks top armor. With advanced laser designators and a rotary autoloader it could fire faster then any other tank. They had been set up out of range of enemy tanks guns, but still within range of their own.

A Special Force unit had landed itself on the mountainous area and had been walking up the path, trying to get a good sight of the land beyond. That was their mission, and they didn't suspect resistance.

While the men walked up the mountainous trail, they came across a patrol... not of Red Tide Military, Consortium, or even Tech-Com patrol, but men wearing ski masks and carrying M4A1 Assault Rifles. One was carrying a M-240 Light Machine Gun. What they wore for pants and shirts varried from person to person, but they all wore the ski masks.

They were Red Tide Mafia Thugs, the Mafia had a high presence in the mountainous area of Red Tide and had established numerous weapon bazaars up there. There they sold everything, from pistols to MiG fighter jets.

These men were chatting idly with each other, talking about a vareity of things having to do with... life.

Tank Commander Frank Johnson had suspicion about all this. He wasn't a General, albiet, but he knew tactics. He grabbed the inter-com unit and called loudly.

"Fall Back! Fall Back! I don't like the looks of this, their dragging us into something."

He snarled, "Get us back to the beach, Reverse!"

The Driver repsonded, and the Tank halted, then started to reverse. All the other tanks still operational did the same. The Marines would follow wait on the hill that led to the beach, watching as many M1A1's, M60 Pattons, and T-72's came back first. Their armor couldn't handle the enemies tank rounds anyways. However, the fifteen or so M102's stopped just before going onto the beach, continuing to fire long range at the enemy tanks and troops. Theey were the ones capable of delivering the killing blow, but they weren't going to be destroyed by some trap.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Off the Shore of the North-Western landing, Northern Anagonian Battle Fleet

The two Anagonia-Class Strike Carriers had a little suprise up their sleeve. Beneath their decks were deployed a Type IV Hydrogen-Fed Laser systems, specifically designed for ship-to-ship or ship-to-air combat should a tight situation arise. It was developed by many of the brightest minds in Anagonia, derived from the Microwave Laser technology that protected the Motherland from Ballistic Missile attacks for many years. Its power source was the Hydrogen Reactors in the Carriers Themselves, so two shots would be avaliable to the five Laser turrets that made up the defenses.

The Microwave AEGIS system was their targeting computer, advanced in the like that it could pin-point many direct targets with pulses of Microwaves. It was a Theroticall assumption that anything with mass would make the Microwaves go slower through the objects, and pulses of the microwave emissions had been proven to do such a thing.

With the backing of the Radar, and Advanced AEGIS computers, their combined strength is what made the Microwave Jammers so powerful.

But anyway, enough technobabble.

The Type IV MLS turrets rose from both beside the Bridge, behind the ship, and bu its sides. A pulse was sent out and targets were immedietly identified. With one small motion the turrets aimed their futuristic-like barrels and an Orangish-yellow beam shot towards the Incoming ballistic missiles.

Eight Beams made their mark, and with two free ones concentrating their power on two at a time, four were quickly decimated as holes were bored into their destructive payloads. One by one the missiles were destroyed, until finally three beams concentrated on one that neared a Battleship.....and just a few feet from it the lasers were successful in decimating it.

However, as it exploded, the Battleship's aft sunk into the sea for a second, only to fly back up and cause the entire ship to wobble. Fires broke out, and the aft Main Turret was blown to shreds, and nearly half of the back end. The rushing water had quenced the flames, and lukuily the strong metal that held the ship together protected the reactor from certian doom. But it was SEVERELY damaged and hampered, and was immiedietly called from duty as it started to limp towards the back of the fleet.

Battleship 005 - Damaged Severely, aft Main Turret destroyed, aft side nearly decimated. Fire controled by rushing water. Being called back for repairs.

IC:

Alarms sounded in Major Garner's aircraft as they did in the other bombers, there was a faint click unheard over the alarms as the aircraft's automated modular reprogrammable active radar frequency deception jammer, a small red light came on and Curtis knew that the system would stop a majority of the missiles, but not enough. His co-pilot had already strapped in as he increased the throttle and put the aircraft into a supersonic dive, knowing to manipulate the throttle as he fell to make his aircraft's velocity harder to calculate and in turn, harder to hit. His aircraft was one of the few that had avoided the missiles or taken such minor damage that they could continue their mission, those that were struck were either destroyed or were falling to the earth, a few of their crew bailing out over Red Tide territory. After that experience, he dropped the aircraft even lower and continued on towards his target. He was seeking vengence now for his comrades killed, the mission was irrelevant.

The 175mm shells were still raining down on the enemy troops. By now, approximately 30 Red Tidean Tanks(and a couple dozen more APCs) were smoldering on the battlefield.

Frank itched the coms trigger, pressing it a few times. He looked at the communications screen, and pressed it a few times to bring up a link to the Battleship 006. It was still positioned off the coast, and while the Marines were bunching together, getting into either M3A3 or M2A3 Bradleys, the tanks forming a circle, Frank had to watch and wait. He started to quickly type in a message to the Officers onboard, and he pressed send. Within minutes, a response was seen, they had agreed to assist.

He grinned as his Commanders Gatling Turret twisted around and zoomed at the battleship, his tank firing two more Heat rounds at Random tanks, as did the rest of the M102's. The Weaker classes of Tanks were firing off too, seeing the two flanker splits of tanks coming from both sides. He looked at his screen, and saw that anothe reponse was given. They had targeting, and all they needed was the word....

....as the MBT-66's came over the hills on both sides to flank the Anagonian force, Frank yelled, "NOW!", into the coms. Seconds later, a battleships cannons could be heard very clearly from the sea behind, and High Explosive shells reigned down on the flanker tanks. The Battleship had only used two of its turrets, the third aiming for the Tanks in front of the M102's and firing as it cought aquisition.

The MBT-66s immediatly began to zig-zag as soon as the enemy battleships fired to avoid shell the incoming shells. Plenty of tanks exploded, they mass fired their guns. Hurling shells at incredible velocities into the enemy tankswith amazing accuracy. Shell fire continued to come down, becoming more and more accurate as the enemies were no sitting still. A direct hit with a 175mm artillery shop on the top is enough to destroy even the toughest of tanks... especially if they hit a engine or crew hatch as those HAVE to have the weakest armor, else they would be to heavy to open.

Artillery fire rained down on the tanks and incoming transports. The 25" Guns far inland continued to let loose on the Anagonian Battleships, once again using the Anti-RADAR Shells.

As the surving Aquatian Aircraft continued forward, they were met by another, even smaller(in number) SAM attack.

Lancer tanks rolled off the ships and moved forward, covering the infantry that followed in the amphibious landing vehicles. Seeing the Anagonians being surrounded, the Marines moved up along their right flank to bolster it against the Red Tidean armour, the tankers aimed their vehicle's 125mm guns and fired their sabot rounds at the MBT-66 vehicles. The four Aequatian battleships took up their positions on the gunline and opened fire on the Red Tidean avenues of approach along the beaches.

-----

While not hearing any of his own alarms, Garner knew that others who hadn't hit the deck hard and fast would fall victims to the second wave of missiles. Reports were fairly grim, with nearly fifty per-cent of the bombers being eliminated already, even more would be taken down by this wave, but enough would survive to hit their targets. Although he hated the idea, the only way to hit his target was to break over a hill and reveal his aircraft for a couple of seconds, but he did it anyway and he pushed the throttle to its maximum position as he came over the hill and opened the bomb bay doors. Five more minutes before release, but it was too long for his liking.

The Marines were all in transports of one type or another, and as soon as time provided, the M102's immiedtly surrounded them and moved forward, right along the beach, and started up the hill again. Their cannons firing at the enemy tanks, two sheels per tank this time, trying to get the kill ratio up for their sides. The M102's armor by this time was getting dented, and one M102 erupted in a fireball as a shell slammed into it, but the Tank convy continued on.

Frank Johnson was at the head of the convy, his Tanks turret swiveled and targeted a long enemy MBT-66, and fired two Uranium-Tipped HEAT rounds straight at them. The remaining 11 M102's were doing the same thing overe and over. They all went through the artillery, sphrapnel firing everywhere around and random spots. However, they somhow managed to get through with minor losses.

Two Lesser class tanks were lagging behind, but tehy were soon destroyed by two artillery shells falling near them. Lucky shots count in this war.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Strike Carriers Laser turrets spotted the shells at the hight of their flight, and attempted to concentrate fire on them by comphensating for speed with angel. They all fired at once, and managed to destroy at least six of the incoming shells. However, a few got through the lasers and slammed into Battleship 006 and 007. They both lost their radar masts, and half of their deck. But mostly, it was only minor to moderate damage.

(Hey, laser travel at the speed of light. I had to be imaginitive, since they actually have a flight path instead of random fallings.)

The Type IV Hydrogen-based turrets would now have to recharge, it would take at least 10 minutes at most. But what was good about this was that they had locked onto the Guns inland, and once they fired again it would be a sight to see.

Damages

Battleship 007 - Suffered minor hull damage, 2 sailors dead, one Turret Cannon damaged. Radar Mast lost.
Battleship 006 - Suppered moderate hull damage, one Main Turret Lost. Radar mast lost.

Northern Beach
The Felucans in their Full Spectrum Combat Armor (FSCA, featured here: <LINK> (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10236350&postcount=44)) watched the fighting on the beach from their new positions atop one of the taller hills.

One Lieutenant Gearing was watching as more and more enemy forces poured onto the beach. A sergeant, indistinguishable in the face, but a nametag on the chest said 'Sandars' and the shape of the body armor implied a female figure, leaned in, "Sir, they're about twenty five hundred meters away now. We need to let them get within range before we can fire our AT1s." She counseled.

In the quickly dug slit trench on the side of the hill, AT1 anti-tank weapons were being prepared. The Felucans were down to about 170 fighting soldiers in the northern front now, but they certainly had a heavy edge in firepower.

By the end of Five minutes, one charge for the laser's had been completed, and just in time too. Immedietly the Microwavew AEGIS detection systems had picked up 240 contacts with a missile-like trajectory. Plans went through the computer, and solutions found. The Hydrogen-Based lasers changed their output from single beam to wide-stream, expanding the overall complexity of the laser beam to engulf many more rocks at the same time. However, three of them would only do this, the rest would stabilize their beams for a minimum amount of time and go from one missile to another quickly.

Seconds later, the beams were locked and redy, and three of the Type IV Hydrogen Based Lasers engaged their wide-reach lasers, which, together, engulfed and super-heated the metal that made up the artillery missiles. Milliseconds after the remaining seven lasers used their concentrated beams and went from missiles to missile as the sky lit up withs explosions and minor explosions. It seriously looked like something out of a fantasy movie, but in all reality it was computer controlled fanatism.

The Tank Convy did experience some untounced sub-minitions that exploded by and near them. Some tanks took damage, while others took slight Damage. The Convy had to slow because three Lesser Tanks and one Bradley Tank was hit in the engine compartment, slowing them down.

The remaning transports that had been waiting for the Main Assault hadn't heard a word from the tank convy in some time. Suspecting the worst, over twenty-five transports began to head towards the bach. It was time to bring in the bulk of the Anagonian Forces, they would not, under any circumstances, allow a failure to happen again. Air cover was launched, with protection from the Laser system. They would circle the carriers and wait for the word to strike. This wouldn't be another trail period, everything would go perfect. The carriers started to move themselves closer to the beach, allowing their laser and missile systems better accuracy and their aircraft lesser time to do things.

The 175mm artillery guns shifted their fire onto the incoming transports. Pounding them with impact-on-contact armor piercing shells. any transport that moved to close to the shore would find upwards of 600 Self-Propelled Artillery Guns pounding on them, each one firing 6 shells a minute. That totalled was 600 shells every 10 seconds. In addition, the 25"s, having run out of ammo for a little while until extra ammunition was sent via train, were back in action. Firing at the carriers.

The Battleships lined up, the three that were left, and aimed their Main Cannons at the batteries that were firing towards the carriers behind them. Once again, a classic naval bombardment was beginning, with a twist this time.

Having the protection of the Laser systems onboard the carriers, Eight F/A-18A/B Hornet's started towards the shore line with various Dumb munitions. They headed towards the shore-line, having already been in the air and readied for this task. The Carriers themselves were having a time keeping pace, and they had to start to turn around to avoid being sitting ducks for the time being. Their Reactor-based lasers, however, were toned towards the shore, waiting for the response missiles that would be fired.

OOC:The artillery would have waited until your transports had got close enough.

IC:The F/A-18s would find themselves not flying through a hail of missiles... but a hail of SmartFlaK Shells. The Red Tidean APC-45s had twin 30mm autoguns. The primary purpose of these autoguns is to fill the sky with so much lead that airplanes couldnt survive. It didnt help the aircraft with the fact that these guns could use miniature RADAR to automatically target the fighters, nor did it help them that the fact that SmartFlaK actually sought out their targets. The F/A-18s had two choices, come in high or come in low. Going in high ment REALLY inaccurate bombing runs, but it might just save the pilots lives. Going in low meant sufficiently accurate bombing runs... assuming the planes were not torn to shreds by the numerous APC-45 guns.

Even worse, each division had a battalion of M-1RT Tunguska Mobile Anti-Aircraft Gun/Missile System. Like the APC-45s they were equipped with 30mm autoguns firing SmartFlaK shells, but they were also equipped with 8 QMSAM-10 Missiles. The QMSAM(Quick Manueverable Surface-Air Missile) was sort-of the pinnacle of SAM design. Small, fast, self-guided, capable of following through any manuever an airplane could pull, it suffered from only one disadvantage. Its small size and speed did not permit it to go very far. It had a incredibly short lock-on range of 6 kilometers and a chase range of only 11 kilometers and a ceiling of 15,000 feet. Of course, with a speed of mach six, any airplane would be ripped out of the sky a mere second after it recieved the lock-on warning and any plane flying over 15,000 feet had a 1 in 200 chance of hitting anything with dumb bombs.

OOC: SURE it would, but I knew you'd pull something like this.....Oy.....thats it, Lasers Ahoy!

Oh, and, reply to the battleship bombardment too.

IC:

The Eight aircraft managed to release their payload, whether or not they reached their target was unknown, because all eight were completely decimated by the flak clouds and missiles. Some pilots managed to eject, but their survival was in question.

In response, the Two carriers, now turned around completely, aimed their Type IV Reactor-Fed Hydrogen Lasers towards the cannons and missile platforms on shore. The Captains had had enough, if they had the weaponry to kill them, they'd use them.

Locking on to random targets, Ten lasers fired their super-heated beams towards the targets, lasting about two minutes as they moved from target to target. Playtime was over, and with minor damages already coming in from shelling on some transports and the battleships, they would MAKE SURE the shore was completely clean.

And so, the war was over. Transports came to pick up the teams, the wounded, the dying, and the dead. Everything was taken care of, no more incursions, no more fighting. It was over, and everyone could go home happy.

Later in the day, a transmission came to all Nations, Coalition and Enemy, resulting in a Peace Treaty.

From the Office of the Chief Governor - Peace Treaty resolved

Hereby it is declared that the Coalition invasion of Red Tide2 has ended, and therefore seeing as Frozopia has been liberated from a tyrannical army, there is no more need to continue our incursion. Therefore, with all parties involved, this war is OVER.

Signed
Chief Governor Dunan Ruu
Chief General Oscar Vladinchi

END CASULTIES

Over 5,000 Anagonian Casulties. Two Ships heavily damaged, two Carriers Heavily Damaged, many transports and tanks lost, many aircraft lost.

May the lost be remembered.

Throughout the lines, the Aequatian Marines dropped to a crouch and halted their movement, confused as to why the order came to stop during a beach landing. Captain Terry was back in the turret of her tank as she listened to the radio message through her helmet's headset, "Withdraw? We just got here!"

Transports came ashore from the assault ships and began to ferry the Marines back to their respective vessels. Few had died or been wounded since they arrived late in the fight, a meager 17 dead and 58 wounded along with half a dozen armoured vehicles either stuck in the sand and abandoned due to damage or immobilized.

The Navy did not fare so well, with several hundred casualties, two thirds of which were wounded along with several ships so damaged they would require long periods of repair at home dockyards. The carrier Europa had lost nearly all of its fighter aircraft along with the other three fleet carriers who lost their fair share.

"Humm... Time to return home I guess... The attack was completely called off, tell the men, and radio our transport ship, we'll be needing a ride home." Said the Mirhuellian CO to his 2nd in command "Thanks for your hospitality, too bad we couldn't help ya out, though"

"No problem, you were just a bit late that's all." Responded the Anagonian CO

----A few hours later----

"So this is it, goodbye I guess... I hope to see you in peace times."

"So do I, so do I"

And thus the Mirhuellian forces return home, alive and unscarred

"Feels like we didn't really help all tham much, doesn't it?" It was a rhetorical question. "Pack it up. Captain, get your men back to their ships, we're headed home." Esteland gave the word, and the carrier turned with almost deliberate slowness-possibly to hide the dinghy holding the recovered special forces team.

The lieutenant just had one thing he wanted to do before he left. Luckily it passed right by him on the Anagonias flight deck. "Oy!" He said, catching the attention of the Mirhuellian CO. "Nice meeting you." "Same here." "See you next time!" He waved as he lowered himself onto the barge.

One week after it began, Ms. Halwell stepped up to the podium again. "At 1:48 this morning, peace accords were signed between the Coalition forces and Red Tide. Under the accords, Red Tide has rescinded its claim to Frozopia. All coalition forces are headed home. Minnechusettsfornia lost six harrier pilots in the conflict, a memorial is being held later today. Thank you all."

The Chief of Staff stepped onto the balcony alongside Theo. "Kinda makes you wonder why we do it, doesn't it?" said Theo, looking down at the flag-draped coffins. "Yes sir, Mr. President, but remember we may have saved many more civilians in frozopia." "I certainly hope so." He said, and turned to walk back inside. "Doesn't make it any easier."

Minnechusettsfornia signs peace accords.
