Alright, this is my first attempt to get a widescale RP going so please bare with me. The main plot of this RP would revolves around two top-secret Kordoan military projects: Project Kormoran and Project Chameleon which are detailed in the next post.

The basic premise is that someone siezes control of these weapons either a terrorist group or a nation looking to use the projects for their own devices. Then there would be the nations who are trying to destroy the weapons either for the greater good or because their one of the targets of the weapons. Kordo of course is trying to stop it if only unofficially. I'm thinking this would be mostly based around small teams of combat personal, again either from a terrorist/extremist group or from a specific nation.

Note: Project Kormoran and Project Chameleon are not my original ideas and are based on Projects of the same name in Mathew Reilly's book 'Scarecrow'

Project Kormoran
Named after the Kriegsmarine cruiser Kormoran (http://www.german-navy.de/kriegsmarine/ships/auxcruiser/kormoran/) which was disguised as a freighter, Project Kormoran currently consists of twenty seaborne large-scale missile-launch platforms disguised as freighters and other large civilian ships (none of which are Kordoan in origin). This program is designed to allow Kordo to strike with impunity at any country it wishes without a threat of the ships being discovered or Kordo being implicated in the attack. Ten of these ships are currently capable of holding, at minimum, four Chameleon Class ICBMs per ship along with other standard missiles, while the rest are to have the said capability by the end of 2006. Project Chameleon
Project Chameleon, begun in late 2004, is a project whereby Kordo Nuclear Missile Command clones nuclear ICBM’s and other nuclear devices of various countries, both friendly and hostile. This has been done so by combining nuclear materials from said nations, along with missiles designed to their specific specifications. This project has been designed to allow Project Kormoran to fire nuclear ICBM’s that do not have any connection to Kordo, or its armed forces. While the use of these weapons, or their creation, would have severe consequences for Kordo if discovered, it has been deemed an acceptable risk by President Jack Kordo II and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Recently, Emperor Rick Kordo has also given his support for the projects and has given the okay to expand the project to include more nations

I assume this is MT, so I'll join. I'll even be one of the groups on the offensive. I'll just need a teamate to find out about the projects for me.

This looks to be extremely interesting. Delta Green policy on incidents dealing with radiological weaponry is immediate capture, study, and eventual elimination using their specialized NEST teams. In this situation, they would do anything in their power to destroy this threat, but at the same time, conflicted interests in the government would try to use it to supplement their own radiological technoplogies. Thus, multiple NEST teams would have multiple objectives from multiple higher-ups ^^

I'm glad to see so many people interested! I'm want to start creating 'teams' such as 'Destroyers' who want to destroy the ships/missiles, the 'bad guys' who want to use the for their own evil purposes and so on. Any suggestions on groups or comments on which group you want to join would be helpful.

I take it there would be three teams over all:

Capture
Destroy
Retake

Am I correct?

By the way if this is the case, I would be Capture.

If this is the case, Delta Green would have a mixed objective conflicted between Destroy and Capture. However, even the ones who want to destroy it want to basically capture it first, so put the NEST teams from Delta Green under Capture.

I'll sign up my special forces squad under "destroy".

This looks like another day in the office for the Andromedan's finest in protection and dangerous retrieval. My EMDo team (Elite Military Defense Outfit) will escort the nuclear package so it doesn't get stolen. So technically, I will be serving under the retake part, but will start in a defense position guarding the package with Kordo.

Can I get a clarification on the difference between the "capture" and "retake" factions? For that matter, how is the "destroy" team any different?

I assume that people on the destroy team, as I am, will work together regardless of motivation, although I suspect the motivation would be similar: to keep if out of anyones hands. Basically some more background on whose doing what?

Capture- those who want the projects for themselves. (Mostly free for all with chance of Team)
Retake- Kordo and allies trying to take the projects back from Capture. (Team)
Destroy- Those who want the projects to fall into nobodies hands. (Team)

To Delta:
If we do the capture, destroy, retake idea how would you like to work together? I'll take half the ships you take the other half. We share the gathered intel.

[OOC: It would probally be best to speak about this over Telegram ;) But regardless, that sounds like it would be the most effective means. But we would first have to contact each other and coordinate ICly.]

Moragrim Heslan will lead the Secret Military Police to Capture the devices for study. By order of Minister of Technology Aaron Deatan and Minister of War and Defense Sheizcka Karanov.

"Capture" are the guys who want to take it for their own personal use.

"Retake" Are my forces, those that want to retake the weapons.

"Destroy" Are simply the side that wants to keep the weapons from everybodies hands.

yep, and if anyone want's to RP the terrorists their welcome to it. But if you do remember that everyone else involved in this RP will be gunning for you.

Errr.... I really didn't think about this. I planned on it starting as a commando-type RP but it could easily escalate further. I guess that if the RP leads into a open war it would be fine by me but I didn't make any specific plans on what it evolved into.

That's actually the event that I named this RP and something I hoped would happen. I'm not looking for full-scale war with anyone, but a chance to improve my battle RP'ing skills would be nice.

I've actually spent the last hour organizing my military in an Excel spreadsheet, and I'll be done in a little while, so I'll post it then.

I'm on the "destroy" team, so I'll probably be using 2-3 small 4 person squads. I'm willing to cooperate with anyone else looking to destroy the weapons.

The Beltway has an 80-man SWAT team, a frigate, a NEST team, and a single SR-71. The SWAT team is normally divided into twelve five-man assault elements and ten two-man sniper elements. The SR-71 is for recon purposes, the NEST team will be used to disable (permanently) the nuclear material, and the frigate will carry everyone but the SR-71s, along with providing light fire support, if necessary. We will use this all to support the destroy team.

Qarez - Do you have naval transport for your spec ops squad, or will you need our ship?

Beltway, we do have transport of our own, but we would gladly hitch a ride with you, to coordinate any plans we might want.

Is there space for three Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats? (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ship/rhib.htm) We will be using these to transport our teams to land.

If you accept, we will also send our "NGQ Supreme", an Ohio class submarine, for back up and launching capabilities.

So when will the IC thread start?

We will be sending in two groups of six green berets to each of 9 of the so far capable boats. The other boat will be handled by my highest ranked black ops groups known as the Riders or the Four Horsemen.

Qarez - I'm afraid we can't quite fit the RHIBs aboard. We'd love to have an Ohio join in; we're now also bringing in our Seawolf-class SSN, the Towson.

Kordo - You might want to post who will be on what team.

Everyone - I think that only once each of us (including whoever is rping the terrorists) posts the forces they will commit to the mission (although not any additional naval vessels being included) in this thread should we start up the IC thread. I'm in favor of MT; then again, I'm MT myself, due to low military budgets and other issues.

I am in favor of PMT but I am willing to go to MT. I can easiliy make my weapons MT as I am on the lower side of PMT anyway.

Should we also post the weapons out groups will be using?

We're ready to provide two, six men, special forces teams, and one of our submarines, the Oceanus, with a mini deployment sub.

The rest of our Carrier Battle Group will be on standby if need for assistance arises.

Beltway- That's fine, we'll also send along our amphibious assault ship with our sub. The teams will ride with us, but we'll let our Squad captain ride with you, to formulate our coalition.

Drexel- I'd prefer this to be MT, I think that's what most people are playing. PMT would be fine I'd guess, I'll just play less advanced. And I think posting weapons would be a great idea. I'll post all the info next post.

25 basic squads of 4. 1 member of the squad carries a Q35, Similar to G36 but the Q35 is longer, 1 carries an Anti-Armour Rifle. 1 carries M112, Similar to the M80 but holds ammo in a drum roll barrel. 1 carries an Anti-Tank/Anti-Air missile. I will also send 3 M2 tanks. 1 weapons inspector with each squad. The Revolutionary submarine to transport them in. The ground troops are to seek out the missiles. After we do that we blow the hell out of them with UCAVs

we have one aegis class cruiser, a diesel sub, and a battlecruiser. we also have some helicopters.

I will be on the destroy side.

My forces will be two 12 man special forces team, 2 technicians to deal with the WMDs. For their transportation it kinda depends on weather we are doing PMT or MT.

*Sigh* Over the last several weeks I have found myself less and less interested in Nationstates. I have been unable to muster enough creative thought to make even a half-assed attempt to upkeep my current RP’s and for that I am sorry. Do to this lack interest, lack of creativity and a general lack of time, I have decided to take a break from Nationstates. I truly enjoyed RP’ing with you all and I apologize for any inconvenience my leaving causes. Again, goodbye, and thanks for all the good times.

While, due to my own time constraints, I didn't really get a feel for you as an RPer, you seemed like a great NSer. I hope it is only a break and that you return, but good luck regardless.
