"It is well that war is so terrible, or we should grow too fond of it."

- Robert E. Lee

Velkyan Task Force Blue, 400 miles off coast of Concremo, 11:32 PM

To war, again.

Here, in this lonely stretch of sea, black as the abyss of hell itself, lay the instruments of war, eager to be used once more in the sinful game of war. Hundreds of ships, thousands of aircraft, and innumerable men lay dutifully at their posts, awaiting orders from their god-like commanders. These soldiers, sailors, and airmen, of many differing ethnicities and backgrounds, stood ready to fight, to die, side-by-side, to see forth the downfall of one of the most despicable entities ever to walk the Earth.

The Kraven Corporation.

But it would not be the heart of Kraven they would be striking at. As they huddled in their troop ships, the fearless Sentinels of Automagfreek were fighting and dying in Kraven's very capital of Kravonika, a labyrinth of concrete and fire. No, a massive nation, enslaved by the nefarious Corporation, known simply as Concremo, stood before the soldiers of the Allied Union. It was finally time to put a stop to Kraven's slavery of this area, once and for all.

As the troops prepared for the final battle against Kraven, robotic guardians, orbiting high above the azure sphere of Earth, silently stood watch against the enemy, as the metal birds of the air force readied themselves for yet another sortie in the name of truth and justice. Standing in the path of the brave Velkyan soldiers lay nearly 8 million Kraven "soldiers", each one a hell spawn, a unholy fusion of metal and flesh cobbled together in a sickening, beastly form. Standing alongside these beasts were the vast mercenary armies of Concremo, and the miles of walls and artillery covering and imprisioning the Kraven peninsula.

Both sides knew this would go down in history as one of the most violent, bloody wars ever fought by human beings.

And these men were going to fight it.

Office of the Ministry, Whyatica, Sultanate of Whyatica

The three living Ministers watched satellite intelligence of the Velkyan fleet assembling and preparing off the coast of Kraven's Concremo.

Minister Aziz Afnan, a normally stoic man, was a nervous wreck. He had sold his nation's soul to the Corporation in return for removing the lesser of two evils, the Sultan Al-Na'ib Whyatica. The Sultanate now owed a "debt" to Kraven, and the Ministry did not want to learn what this debt would entail for the Sultanate.

"Ministers, I have no desire to allow Kraven to call in his debt..Velkya is a nation considered friendly to the Ministry, so should we offer aid?"

"Aziz, Concremo has nearly 8 million soldiers, those...inhuman Capitol Police..Allah only knows how many more tanks and aircraft.." Minister Abdul Al-Malakk stated.

"So? Our cost will be comparitively little if Kraven doesn't survive."

"What about Automagfreek? If the Kraven mainland falls, wouldn't the leader of Kraven go with it?"

"Our intelligence has leads that the leader of Kraven, something named Father, is no longer in the country. We must exterminate the Kraven presence elsewhere to preserve our sovereignty. We know that Kraven has two other areas: Concremo and Numonica. We join Velkya in taking Concremo, and if that is a success, we join in attacking Numonica. Kraven must be eliminated, gentlemen, otherwise our nation will fall."

The Ministers agreed; after all, it was their nation on the line if Kraven survived. It was decided that Fleet Group I shall be deployed to Concremo in staunch support of their friends, and the 7th, 8th, and 9th legions will be sent as well.

Fort Nassei, Whyatica

The majestic Fleet Group One sat in the harbor, its mechanics and engineers preparing for what would most likely be the fight of their lives. The oldest surviving Grand Admiral, Khan Abbas was placed in command of this war, and he stood at the bow of his flagship, the WSS Na'ib. The great Super-Dreadnaught had never seen combat before, and this would be a test in flames for her. Massive transport boats loaded thousands upon thousands of soldiers into veritable leviathans of transports..Each transport meant to hold 10,000 soldiers, logistics, tanks, and the transports to carry them onshore.

The largest military commitment in the history of Whyatica, 1.2 million soldiers marched onto these boats, slowly but steadily. Once this was accomplished, the mighty fleet set sail to Concremo to join their Velkyan friends.

Bridge, WSS Na'ib
Grand Admiral Khan Abbas sat in his chair on the bridge, poring over intelligence reports of the Concremian coast.

"Comm, send a communication to the Velkyan fleet commander. Tell him that we are coming to assist him and shall be there in a few days travel."

"Aye, Grand Admiral."

A transmission was sent to the Velkyan flagship near Concremo:
Official Transmission of the First Fleet Group of Whyatica
We of the Sultanate of Whyatica pledge our support to the Allied Union of Velkya's effort to liberate the land of Concremo. We shall come with over 300 ships and over a million soldiers, ready to rid the people of Concremo of the evil Kraven Corporation. We will arrive at your position in 96 hours.

Good hunting,
Grand Admiral Khan Abbas, Whyatica

OOC: Kraven, I already discussed this with you I think. I'll send you my numbers over MSN. Time to cross swords..

Velkyan Task Force Blue, 400 miles off coast of Concremo, 11:58 PM

The admiral sat in a dim bridge, watching as the massive guns of the superdreadnought V.S.S. Oured flexed into place. In less than three days time, a massive bombardment of nearly one thousand ships would rain pure hell down on the coastline of Concremo, as the one million man strike force of the Velkyan Army and Marine Corps sliced through to City 17, the capital of the slave-state of Concremo. A communications officer monitoring incoming and outgoing encrypted messages between High Command and the fleet turned towards the aged Grand Admiral Jorgeson.

It had been over a year since the first ill-fated Allied assault on Concremo, and he vowed to never repeat the same mistakes his country made during the First Kraven War. "Sir!" He turned. "Yes, Ensign?" The communications officer displayed the message from the First Fleet Group. "Message from the Whyatica First Fleet Group.

Allies...excellent.

"Clear this with High Command, send them a communiqué." The young officer nodded, before hurriedly manipulating the buttons on his control panel. The following message was sent to the First Fleet Group several minutes afterward.

From: Allied Union Naval High Command
To: Whyatican First Fleet Group
Your assistance in the fight against the Kraven Corporation is welcomed, and we request that you join up with Task Force Blue, which is currently holding off the coast of Concremo. Operation Bunker Shot, the invasion of the mainland, is set to begin in one week’s time.

Thank you, good hunting.

As the message was sent to the fleet, the bridge crew of the Oured waited anxiously for zero hour, the time at which the bombardment of the Concremo coast would begin. Then, the fireworks would start.

Military Assistance Command, Kraven

How convenient that we already have troops in Kraven. Upon consultation with General Kasagawa, the Deputy Defense Minister, I have been promoted and awarded command of all Kahanistan forces in Kraven, a total of 100,000 troops, but only 20,000 combat troops.

Operations aimed at destabilizing the Kraven government will continue, and we will continue our efforts toward that end.

I will have the troops relocated to Concremo within four days.

During the Conflict with Lord Dreadfire, The Kraven Military has been very active, especialy in Concremo, The Kraven Military were aware that Lord Dreadfire may open another front, Crushing the support that the Concremo Airforce and Navy had been giving to the Kraven mainland... so Concremo was on High Alert, Military forces were mobile and ready to go in the event of an invasion...

Radar systems and the Concremo Early warning system were well aware of the Velkyian ships parked 400 miles off the Coast of Concremo, and so Forces were prepared...

12 Ballistic Anti Shipping missiles were prepared, and used as a First strike weapon, Hit them off the Coast before they can begin the attack....

Silos across Concremo opened slowly as Concremos Masters... Kraven ordered the General Attack....

BASM's were launched from various Missile silo's, their long trail of smoke rose into the sky, as they went inbound for their targets....

Meanwhile... The Concremo Government were in meeting...

"We must surrender at once.." Pleaded The Administrator... he was literaly on his knees groveling before a Reichmarshal...

"You will do nothing of the Sort Administrator..."

"No...." The Administrator was getting up off the floor.... "I will not allow you to Pervert my Country any further in your nefarious needs..."

Blam...

The Administrator slumped to the floor.... clutching his chest... The Reichmarshal slowly replaced his Corporate side arm....

"Such is the price of Treachery" The Reichmarshal spoke, slowly turning towards the window of the office....

Concremo was now Completely Controlled by their Kraven Masters...

[OOC: This was on an invite from Kraven, so don't nag on me. For those that buy off Kriegzimmer, you can still do so. Kriegzimmer sells anything to anyone. Anyways, good hunting.]

The man provided a dark contrast to the rest of the room, garbed in all black, as if hiding his true indentity. Karl Busch, a Kriegzimmer adjundant to Kriegzimmer, thought to be an important client state, had been embroiled all week long, trying to figure out a pending deal with the Corporation. The man looked at him in the eyes, but Busch failed to flinch. The other man quietly said, "Eight trillion Credits, no more."

Busch eyed him a bit, and started flipping through a folder, paying attention to no particular page. He was trying to make up his mind. He knew that a deal like this would not go through with Fedor well, but he would propose it to the Emperor anyways. He finally looked back at the other man and said humbly, "I'll see what I can do." With that, he rose and headed for another room, where he promptly sent Kriegzimmer Headquarters in Fedala a satellite databurst. An hour later he received a reply, muttering, "Prompt," he turned away and headed back to his office, where the other man was patiently waiting. "So, you have the authorization to sign over five trillion credits to the Empire, in exchange for Battle Fleets December and Tango, as well as four Assault Groups. That's a lot of firepower, understood?"

The other man simply responded, "Yes."

Karl Busch, ever so happy to make such a profitable deal replied, "Alright then. Sign here." He pulled out a contract, but as the other man leaned to sign Busch said, "When this war is over, the fleet comes back to the Empire." The other man nodded, although Busch could note a faint smile, and proceeded to sign. With that, the dark man turned around and headed out, the deal finalized. Busch was ever so happy and as the man walked out, he picked up the phone. Dialing, it soon picked up on the other end and Busch exclaimed, "Holy Jesus Christ, Kraven just bought a goddamn armada from us!"

On the other side a women's voice said, "That's what you get with capitalism. And Fedor agreed to this?"

Busch replied, "Well, we all know how much money he needs. He has a four front war, almost turning into a six front war. He doesn't need the fleets; unless, of course, Haven manages to pull some freak victory in the Bay. But we all know how likely that's going to be."

"Fuckin' absolute capitalism."

She was right. Eight days later, paid for by the Kraven Corporation, two battle fleets and four assault groups headed out towards Concremo. They would come in from a northern vector to avoid Freek shipping to the south, and park about three hundred nautical miles from the coast. From there, they would engage any ISAF fleet that dared come close to their client state. The fleet included two Zealous class Superdreadnoughts, and at least a dozen battleships, providing with much firepower. Kraven could attest to what happened to enemy fleets when met by Imperial firepower, even when numerically superior - they had lost much of their fleet at the Fugue Straits to November, which was now duking it out at the Bay of Targul Frumos. It was the largest mercenary force ever assembled by Kriegzimmer, although it was their first as well, and it prove to be a thorne in the sides of ISAF; Kraven was not alone as long as it had money. Led by Grand Admiral Estaten Kobech the entire armada, soon to be regarded as the Golden Armada by her enemies, dropped the Imperial flags and raised the flags of pirates, because that was what they were.

http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/6407/goldenarmada9nx.png

Estaten Kobech stood on the bridge of the HES Mandrake, his flagship, also a Zealous class Superdreadnought, and he took another drag from his pipe. Look at the horizon he adressed his executive officer, "Look at those waves. This is the one of the last times you'll see them run blue."

The executive officer offered a laugh and replied, "Who are we facing?"

Kobech simply said, "The world. Kahanistan and Velkya have fleets there now. Intelligence says that Whyatica will be aiding ISAF. The more the merrier. It has been high time that Velkya and Kahanistan are shown what a real foe is."

And so towards the horizon the fleet sailed...

The King's Chambers

The King's Chamber's were actaully the remains of the once great airship, The King's Cross. The airship was converted to the capital after the evacuation of the Islands. The various componets served as a constant reminder to the King of the human suffering that could endure even in the most prosperous of times.

It was this constant reminder that led the Kingdom to take part in various humanitatian missions around the world. This included a mission in which they had to evacuatate cities in Kahanistan during it's war with AMF and Kraven.

King Drake had paid close attention to the AMF/Kraven Conflict ever since. King Drake had felt a strong since of pity for the people of Kraven, the same kind of pity that his predessor had felt towards the people oppresed by the Nazis.

So, in this spirit, King Drake decided to offer the aid of his Humanitarian Fleet to the Allies with the caveat that anyone they liberated would be able to recive treatment aboard the Hospital Ships.

A fleet of Kahanistan C-5 Galaxies took off for Concremo and the Velkyan forces. They hoped there were enough carriers for the 300 Galaxies and the 100 MiG-35's that were escorting them.

They had been topped off with fuel and were ready to launch. In two days Kahanistan would be fighting in Concremo.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs wrote the Concremian Government.

DEMOCRATIC SOVIET REPUBLIC OF KAHANISTAN
Ministry of Foreign Affairs

To: The Concremian Government

We call upon the Government of Concremo to resist Kraven imperialism, lest the monstrous Freeks commit their unspeakable atrocities against your citizens as allies of Kraven. Kraven has used WMD against AMF, as we did in our war, and Kraven citizens are being butchered in the streets. The only way to save your own is to abandon Kraven as an ally, as the rest of the Consortium did.

The Kahanistan troops dispatched to Concremo will not harm any civilian, and are under orders not to shoot any Concremian soldier who approaches unarmed. Make sure they are Kahanistan troops and not Freeks, as the results of such a mistake will be deadly.

Why do they dare stand before us

When will the Detzen Circle know victory

How can they stand before our Admiral

What gives them the strength to resist our glorious crusades

Soon they will know defeat

Admiral Keshast would muse, in his hands he toyed with a sodden mess, it gazed emptily back into his glowering yellow eyes, as it dripped gently onto the floor pooling in a grim pool, on the desk spattered and torn was a message, Detzen Circle, the blood Augries bode well, the 13th Blood Crusade in the name of our immortal lord of Destiny Maljuras can begin, go forth and let the blood flow now and forever in a never ending torrent thinly smiling he slams the plaything on the desk with a dull splat, as an orb pops out of a hole and dangles forlornly, a pure blue eye, "and so ends another bearer of bad news, I'll have to make sure my next aide has a stronger neck,"

Shucking his command cape he stalks onto the bridge, his boots clanging on the floor filling the taut air with a symphony of terror, the Blood Guard Crewmen fierce and crazed in their determination steadfastedly steered the vessel onwards, they had almost arrived, a vast army that would protect a newfound ally, The Kraven Corporation.

Army Group Dark Crusade will dismount immediatly, I want everything ready for the defence in an hour," He draws in closer to the young man jabbing a long nailed finger at the mans throat"or you will be in the front lines, without armour, Do I make myself understood Colonel Vuntz, I thought so" with a well aimed kick he sends the Colonel flying through the air and through an open hatch, "Get my transport prepped, I have an appointment with a reichsmarshall to keep, and if I'm late someone will die a dishonourable death and be fed to our future prisoners," Behind him a new Aide hovers distantly, quivering and shaking while clasping a large bag in his terrified hands.

"So this is the filth they've seen fit to dig up, eh? don't fail me" leers the Admiral before stalking out his bone white hands fingering the scabard of his sword, soon it would drink blood once more in the glorious temple that was the salughter, none would survive, the logistics personell would be butchered first, then the combatants each of them in front of the other, slowly choked by their own intestives as the blood is slowly drained from them and replaced with cleansing acid, or castrated with burning iron and fed to the war hounds like so much rotten meat.

The monolithic Sub dreadnought would surface, still well out of range of detection by the fools who dared stand against the Admiral and his allies. The ship itself was greatly scarred, like Admiral Keshast himself from numerous glorious Massacres, he remembered Valjsguard well as watched his men board their transports, clasping his gnarled hands together as he plots the comming campaign, his own Covenant Guard units would be foremost in the slaughter, yes they would kill a great many and bring him a mountain of skeletons from which he would erect a great altar, an homage to the great god of Destiny Maljuras, and then he would combine his power with the Admiral's and they would obliterate all who stood before them with the flex of a finger, it would be glorious as they would cause blood to forever flow in an infinite torrent, once this spearhead was shatered their homelands would fall, first they would burn the young in fron to the elderly, cleansing them in sacred flame and then they would disembowel ancient wife before elderly husband and leave the destroyed elder to rot with his spouse, in an eternal embrace of love, so would continue the butcher's musings as he turned his cape and cloak billowing as he returned to his bridge, ready to commence a great slaughter.

Blood Guard and Covenant Guard would march down together side by side as they mounted their transports, huddled together they took to the sky for their short journey, Other Transports carried other things, the torture equipment, the artillery supplies and support personell. Like Harpies, Torrken soared by the transports, their grim visages and oversized rifles ready to furl fiery destruction and cleansing explosive down upon the enemies of the Admiral, The evil men would grin and smile a terrible sight as they contemplated the comming campaign, soon they would touch down and then the very legions of death and destruction would lie in wait for the lambs to willingly come to the righteous slaughter.

Velkyan Task Force Blue, 400 miles off northwestern coast of Concremo, 12:21 AM

As the fleet stood silently in the onyx sea, the cruiser Mulker sat in the squadron Alpha-Romeo Six, its missile batteries pointing into the cold night air. Suddenly, an array of alarms, klaxons and sirens went off onboard the air defense ships, as long range RADAR confirmed what the satellite network had detected, a ballistic missile launch. Well, a dozen ones. No matter, as the ballistic missiles streaked back into the upper-atmosphere, the cruisers targeting the long tubes of fuel, releasing two dozen agile SLAABM (Ship Launched Anti-Ballistic Missile) missiles into the freezing night sky.

As their ramjets ignited, pushing them to near-hypersonic speeds, they streaked upwards, striking the enemy missiles with powerful HE warheads, splitting the behemoth missiles into microscopic pieces in brilliant and colorful explosions, visible from the fleet, even at the high interception altitude. A Marine squad watching from the ship below watched the interception in awe, speaking amongst themselves in excited tones. "Did you see that?! Pure fuckin' ownage!" Another yelled, "Heads up Marines, better head inside, before more idiot missiles try to hit us." Grudgingly, they retreated into their assault ship, as tiny fragments of burnt metal rained on the fleet.

Geosynchronous orbit over Concremo, 12:23 AM

The small spy satellite, disguised as a piece of space junk, maneuvered its camera, a curious eye. It spied on many things, some important, some not. A school of dolphins, a lone Velkyan fighter on CAP duty, even mermaids (not really). Its electronic eyes then beheld an interesting sight. More interesting then a damn mermaid, for that matter. A massive dreadnought surfacing from the depths of the black sea, with smaller ships breaking off from it. Its curiosity turned to alert, as it beamed the video-feed to the Naval High Command Headquarters in Selka. A data link was then beamed to the Oured.

002501...Concremo theatre...rebel Novacom capital ship detected...close proximity to allied fleets...terminate with extreme prejudice...

Deck of V.S.S. Oured (Velkya class super dreadnought), 12:42 AM

The GPS data link had been received, and a satellite targeting laser had pin-pointed the massive ship. Missile tubes lining two combat hulls of the Oured and the Velkya began to open, as the massive Angelfire Mk. II missiles showed themselves. These massive missiles, with their tungsten tipped, C6 warheads, large enough to send an Iowa battleship to Davy Jones’s in one hit, would be concentrated on a single ship, the enemy dreadnought.

In unison, the missile launched, their rocket motors propelling them upwards into the atmosphere, as their Scramjet engines ignited, pushing the warheads to speeds in excess of Mach 10. Nearly one hundred missiles launched from these mammoth warships were now in the air, and would arrive at their targets in mere minutes, ready to send the ship back to the depths from which it came.

Concremo Command Bunker - City 17

"Commander... All missiles have been downed.... Orders?" an officer spoke as one by one the missile tracking systems lost the missile's signals....

"Order Coastal Missile batteries to begin firing, I want full spread, Send them in hard and low... at the same time launch the BASM's, Hopefully while the fleet is distracted by one set of missiles the other will slip through...."

"Understood Dispatching orders"

"Have the Minelayers do a couple of passes near to the coast, If any of their transports or ships come too close, they'll get a nasty surprise..."

"Understood"

This was the Concremo Command centre, like Kravonika's it was built deep underground protected by tons of earth from enemy bombardments, the bunkers were specialy designed to withstand a direct impact from Bunker Busters, and was the Stronghold of Kraven Dominance in Concremo....

Concremo Slave workers began errecting Fences, laying down miles and miles of barbed wire that covered the country side, while engineers Destroyed several bridges that crossed the River of Tyrus, the largest river in the Kraven Penninsular.

Intelligence gathered from the attack on the Kraven Mainland had garnerd that the allied fleet would expect the Fortifications of the coastline to be heavily defended and would lay down a heavy preliminary bombardment to ensure that what happened to Vidimirs Sentinals did not happen to them,
So instead automated Artillery and gun turrets had been set up, to give the illusion that the defenses were manned, Sentry turrets and various automated systems were online and prepared for the battle.

Other Automated SAM sites and ZSU's were set up all across the line, ZSU's were encased in armoured concrete, exposing only the turret, these would protect the defenses from incoming missiles and aircraft, while they would also act as deadly gun turrets laying down a torrent of lead at incomming troops...

The Real Battle force had been fully moblised, Each Mobile unit had Armoured APC's and ample AA cover, while the heavy Emperor Class tanks were easily capable of taking a direct missile strike and being fully combat capable, If the enemy forces broke through the Automated defenses, then Two Armoured battalions would sweep in, attacking in two pronged fronts, stabbing into the weaker rear of the Advance, then a third battalion would meet the attack Dead on, and the now Cut off attack force would be facing Three battalions and caught in a deadly cross fire....

But for this to effectivly work, These 3 Mechanised battalions were all hidden in the Various forests that were situated along the Concremo lands, Each one was hidden using Cammoflauge netting, while the Bigger Emperor Tanks were covered in foliage and cammoflauge netting, Engines were switched off and Electronical equipment was shut down, Radar systems were deactivated and ZSU's changed to Manual operation and Optical Sights....

While the Capitol Police instead of wearing their usual Black armour now bore BDU's over a lighter weight version of the Standard Capitol Police armour, in Concremo with their High rise buildings and Narrow streets it was found nessesary to Strip down the armour and wear a lighter version, Each Trooper still bore their Customary Gas Mask, but these were trained for Combat outside Urban areas, these were Sturmkreig Panzers, Captiol Police trained to fight as a Mechanised Unit...

This would be City 17.... 2051's Stalingrad....

Coastline, Facing the Velkyian Fleet

Meanwhile the Long Range missile batteries at the coast had opened fire, sending wave after wave of missile, these missiles would hug the sea, literaly skimming the surface as the missiles streaked inbound towards their targets, each salvo of missiles was targeting one ship at a time, meaning each Long range missile launcher targeted its own ship.

But at the Same time, BASM's were launched, their time to targets would match that of the Long Range Missiles and the Velkyian fleet would be hammered by a two wave attack,The BASM's targeting Velkyian Carriers and Command Vessels... the Easiest way to destroy a foe is to Route them with Return fire...

Meanwhile, small gun boats raced up and down the coast setting up Sea Mines, hundereds of these floating traps had been set up all along possible landing zones, the small gun boats working quickly and quietly..

Concremo was Gearing up for War....

The massive armada inched foward into the theater of war, and positioned itself some two hundred nautical miles off the location of the Velkyan fleet. It had put itself in classical Macabee naval formation, keeping three tiers of defense around what was called the nucleus, which housed all the capital shipping. Although the Kriermada had experienced a radical change of naval tactical doctrine at Targul Frumos it had not translated across the board, and this was evident in the set piece defensive set-up Grand Admiral Estaten Kobech had chosen for his fleet. In the end, however, the Empire was known for the ability of her generals to make decisions on the spot, including tactical decisions, meaning in any battle, whether it was the Ejermacht or the Kriermada, the Empire was very flexible. Kobech was sure it would prove the same in this instance, as well. His five hundred to six hundred ships were in a very precarious position, outnumbered at least two to one, and very possibly, three to one. However, in the past days there was no fear in his eyes. Strangely, though, Kobech had to reel in his utter demand for Velkyan blood, as he was subcontracted by Kriegzimmer, and his contract had just inflated with twelve trillion Reichmarks, coming from an anonymous source - at least, anonymous to him. And with that, the armada would simply sit two hundred nautical miles from its enemies, and wait for the deal to settle - it would soon turn into a bidding war, and in the end, Kobech knew that what interested Kriegzimmer was not war, it was money, and if this war got heavier, there was going to be a lot of money floating around.

Nevertheless, that would not stop Kobech from ensuring the safety of the fleet, and so he had already ordered a series of what he called precautions, which could be called aggressive by anybody else. In fact, he had sent a squadron of GLI-76 Falcon Multirole Fighters north, in an attempt to scour the area for visual intelligence on the disposition of assets of different nations. They flew low, keeping out of Velkyan and allied radar, although they did not mask themselves from Kraven's own detection assets - they did not think Kraven would open fire, and they would know they were Macabee aircraft through the exchange of IFF signals. The squadron of twelve aircraft passed close to the Concremian coastline, and then suddenly jerked and turned, heading perpindicular to the Velkyan fleet. Accelerating to around eight hundred knots the aircraft pulled up to around twelve thousand meters altitude and sped towards the Velkyan positions. Within minutes they were only seventy-five nautical miles from the Velkyan perimeter ships.

Back at the armada, Kobech was approached by a Kriegzimmer attaché, and the latter questioned, "Are you sure that such a manuever is politically correct?"

Kobech waved him off and responded, "When have politics helped a war?" He eyed the other man, and then turned back to his command, but not before the Kriegzimmer adjundant to the fleet caught him.

The other man said, "Kriegzimmer is not a company to be mettled with. Kriegzimmer is only interested in its money, not in you, or Velkya. Make the correct decision Admiral, or you may be out of a job." He turned, but stopped in his tracks and added a few final words, "Or dead." With that, he walked back out of the command room, while Kobech spat behind him muttering, "Ignorant."

Erstwhile, the squadron continued to fly towards the Velkyan fleet...

Fleet Air Defense Ship Garfield, 12:48 AM

"Sir, incoming aircraft, IFF station reports Macabees signals, should we send a warning message?"

The officer on watch that night leaned over the shoulder of the RADAR operator, watching the rather large formation approach the range of his long range-SAM batteries. He gruffly responded, broadcasting a signal on all channels. "This is the Velkyan Naval Ship Garfield, our RADAR systems have detected your approach into the Task Force Air Defense Zone. We advise that you divert your course away from the fleet, or we will take measures against your approach."

To illustrate his point, a squadron of ISF-2N Valkyries descended upon the fighters, forming up alongside and behind the fighters. A pilot in one waved to a Mac pilot before signaling him to pull back.

As he finished the message, warning lights began to blare, signaling an incoming missile strike.

"Sir, anti-ship missiles inbound, receiving target data from squadron Alpha-Charlie, over!"

The sleepy watch station turned into an active battle station, as the RADAR stations of the fleet detected the stupidly launched missile strike. As the FAD ships began to target the sea-skimmers with IR and RADAR guided missiles, the cruisers began to pinpoint the ballistic missiles descending from the heavens to the armada. In an instant, the racks upon racks of long range SAMs onboard the Fleet Air Defense ships ignited with the fury of thousands of missiles, streaking in long volleys, destroying nearly 63% of the approaching enemy missiles in one fell swoop. As the greatly weakened salvo neared the range of the shorter-ranged missiles of the fleet, sea-based QMASMs and other SAMs began to launch in vast salvoes, bringing the kill count to nearly 99%. Even so, a few missiles leaked through the massive counter-missile salvo, while the FAD ships reloaded their vast tubes in mere moments. The CICW defenses of the fleet then lit up, destroying even more of the missile strike.

No missile defense is perfect, however, and the carrier Flaming Dragon was hit on her port hull, but the inherent stability of her trimararan keep her afloat until the repair crews could repair the damage dealt by the missiles. A few FAD ships were also hit, some merely damaged, others exploding in large fireballs. Meanwhile, the cruisers began to launch their own massive waves of SLAABMs, meeting the approaching ballistic missile salvo head on, destroying most, if not, all, of the approaching missiles in large firestorms that consumed nearby missiles as well as themselves. Last ditch QMASMs also went up; catching the survivors from the strike in large conflagrations, as 30mm and 20mm CICW cannons went wild, spraying the air with hot lead, completely eliminating the inbound strikes.

The Velkyan reprisal for the strike was quite spectacular. Guided missile cruisers, arsenal ships, and rail gun batteries of the Velkyan fleet began to target the enemy batteries that had launched the unsuccessful salvo, and satellite recon over the targeted area confirmed enemy missile sites and RADAR stations, as quantum computers onboard the ships processed the targets and distributed them to the weapons systems, ensuring an even and deadly spread of munitions. Missiles, guided by GPS and light, extended from their VLS tubes and revolver launchers, ready to launch. Ranging from bunker busters to IR-seeking submunition launchers, the missiles, nearly 10,000 in all, launched in a cloud of smoke and fire. Large decoy launchers began to spewing massive amounts of chaff and flares, clouding even the high-powered sensors of the Velkyans, to confuse enemy RADAR systems. Rail gun turrets began to lock into place, slinging their GPS and IR guided-HEAP slugs unto the Kraven positions. All the while, more satellites moved into place, marking bunkers, SAM sites, missile silos, and hidden vehicles. Even the camouflage netting used by the Kraven army could hide them from the all-seeing eyes of the spy satellites of the AUSF, detecting even the minutest traces of heat.

From the looks of it, the bombardment would commence ahead of schedule.

Whyatican Fleet Group I

The mighty Whyatican fleet was less than 100 nautical miles from their ally's position, and all semeed clear and calm on the oceanic waters. They had not picked up enemies, incoming missiles, hell or even a seagull during their travel.

On the bridge of the WSS Na'ib, the crew had not relaxed for even a second as they steamed ahead towards what would most likely be the most dangerous conflict of their lives.

"Comm - Hail the Velkyans and ask permission to merge into their fleet pattern,"
Grand Admiral Khan Abbas ordered.

"Roger, Grand Admiral," the young officer at the comm station said.

Greetings allies! We will be at your position in less than an hour. Requesting permission to join your fleet formation when we arrive.

Good hunting,
Grand Admiral Khan Abbas

The fleet continued to steam towards their friends at full power, straining the engines on the ships as they pushed water behind them..

Explosions rippled across the Beach defenses, Bunkers Took impacts, and Barbed wire was flung into the air, the Bunkers shook as dust and masonry fell into the empty bunker...

The Guns however Remained Silent....

More shells Impacted across the Coastline, Exploding and sending Sand high into the air cascading down like rain...

it was an Impressive sight, But the Bunker network was designed to Directly take heavy bombardments like this, and as Such was still intact...

The beach looked pockmarked as craters began to appear from the Constant shelling...

Luckily the Hidden units were well away from any of the Vessels and as such were out of range...

Bridge of V.S.S. Oured, 12:52 AM

The bridge of the flagship was abuzz with activity, as a message from the allied Whyatican fleet came in. The Admiral, Jean-Luc Jorgeson, began to transmit a message back to the fleet.

Greetings, compatriots. This is the V.S.S. Oured, the flagship of the glorious Velkyan Navy. We are honored to sail with you and accept your request to join us. We ask that you be on alert, for we have already engaged enemy anti-shipping missile batteries on the coast.

Grand Admiral Jorgeson, TFB

As the transmission ended, sensors onboard the FAD ships and destroyers began to pick up enemy mine-layers on the coast. Destroyers began to move up to the front of the fleet, their revolver launchers rotating wildly, spewing wave after waving of long-range anti-shipping torpedoes and missiles at the enemy minelayers, as drone submerisables were released into the water, speeding towards the new-minefields, their powerful SONAR arrays picking out the mines and mapping them out for clearing strikes by destroyers and aircraft.

300 C-5 Galaxy transport planes and 100 MiG-35's, the Kahanistan military contingent to the invasion of Concremo, approached the Velkyan fleet, having taken off earlier. They requested to land on the carriers.

Unlike the recruits bombing Kravonika, who lacked discipline and were only out for blood, Freekish and Kraven alike in some cases, these were veteran troops, nearly all of the deployed forces in that sector. The transport planes carried a total of 100,000 Republic Guards in the most obscenely cramped conditions. They were desperate to escape the sardine existence they had experienced in the transport planes.

These troops would contribute to the first wave of Allied ground troops in Concremo.

Over Velkyan Task Force Blue, 1:06 AM

Even thought only the two Kestrel carriers could take such a massive transport plane such as the Galaxy, each could land 6 planes a minute, and after about a half hour of the grueling landing, and despite the immense stress the Kahanistani troops were off the carriers and the planes were launched back into the air by the massive linear motor catapults onboard the ships. The troops and their equipment were transferred to several empty assault ships in the center of the fleet, as the arsenal ships prepared a special salvo, just for the entrenched enemy seeking to ambush the enemy in the forest. The last salvo launched by the fleet, consisting of HE rail guns and various AGMs, was determined to be ineffective by the orbiting satellites. In fact, thermal and IR signals came back.

Not a single soldier...Jesus...

A new salvo, this time consisting of hundreds of napalm and thermite-based ballistic missiles, was armed and aimed at the masses of armored troops located foolishly inside the forests of Concremo . Kraven commanders had apparently forgotten that heavily forested terrain made a horrible place to move armor around. They would be trapped in hell-fires that would engulf them and burn them to ashes in minutes. The missiles flew from their tubes, streaking at long range towards their targets. The armored legions of the Police would be reduced to legions of charred wrecks and corpses in mere moments. Satellites eagerly awaiting the impact, sitting high above the battleground, their cameras and targeting lasers spotting every movement that the enemy made.

As the missiles made their way to their targets, preparations for the landing began. Marines began to make their way to the assault craft which would ferry them to the shoreline; they would be the first strike. Five landing beaches, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, and Echo, would make up the landing. Velkyan forces would take the left and rightmost beaches, Alpha and Echo. Whyatican troops would storm Bravo and Delta, while Kahanistani troops would capture Charlie.

The Allied armor would land first, as mechanized rolled with them, running right past the enemy bunker systems under heavy air, naval, and artillery cover, provided by the Whyatican and Velkyan fleets. Strike aircraft from the various carriers in the fleet began to arm themselves with anti-armor and infantry weapons, as well as SOAGMs (Stand Off Anti Ground Missile) and guided sub-munitions dispensers. Luna attack VTOL craft, armed with packs of anti-tank missiles, began to top off with fuel and ISF-2Ns formed up over the many ships of the fleet, ready to blow any enemy aircraft out of the sky in minutes. Even the feared Emperor tanks could not stand up to the destructive force of a tungsten-tipped, Mach 5, armor piercing warhead hitting its weaker top armor. Even the lowly foot soldiers carried Javelin style ATGMs as well as their regular weapons. The heaviest tank in the Allied arsenal, the Grizzly Main Battle Tank, a behemoth of metal and hardened electronics, carrying twin 125mm ETC cannons, as well as a 30mm turret cannon for sweeping away infantry and even some ground and air-launched ATGMs. Mounted onboard these giants were pods of IR guided missiles, capable of intercepting both vehicles and low-flying aircraft in the blink of an eye, and several .50cal machine guns.

There were about 8,000 of these along for the ride, carried in the assault boats of the fleet as they readied to detach from the mother ships and ride into battle.

The squadrons of Falcons spread out as the Velkyan aircraft arrived behind them, but they kept along their original trajectory, largely ignoring the attempts to reach them through the radio, since mainly the two used seperate frequencies of radio waves, meaning one could not hear the other without previous information pertaining to the frequency; other than that, the pilots were simply not interested in talking to the Velkyans, regardless of their pacts with others. Instead, they continued towards the Velkyan fleet. The leader of the squadron, Carl Lengun, looked at his heads-up display, where one of the smaller radar screens was centered, and he was outstounded to see the red light flashing behind him. Apparently, one of the side-looking electronically arrayed radars had caught the movement of missiles coming from behind, no doubt from Kraven, but he was further suprised to see a wave of missiles come before him. Shit, he thought to himself, their missile spamming themselves. Without thinking, he opened radio communications by yelling, "Bank, bank, bank!"

The entire squadron banked east, putting them south southeast, but to no avail. The missiles were simply too fast and some of the missiles had began to target the different aircraft, no doubt including Velkyan aircraft. Unfortunately, although eight of the Falcons made out of alive, four were targetted and destroyed by Velkyan surface to air missiles, causing what would be known as one of the largest fiascos of the war, beginning a battle that could have been avoided otherwise. In the future, one side would blame the other, but it was surely a mixture of both. Both were not satiated and craved blood, both were ready for battle. The pace for the naval battle which would shock all was in route, and with the immediate news of the downing of four aircraft near the Velkyan fleet the Armada set out for blood.

As the Falcons raised altitude and sped back home, Admiral Kobech gave an order through an ecrypted satellite databurst, "Engage."

The Velkyan fleet had already begun to engage the Kraven coast, and they would be left alone for the time being, hoping that Kraven weakened them enough. However, the Whyatican fleet was still trying to hook up with the Velkyan ships, meaning they were still a seperate entity, and so they became the Golden Armada's first foe in the naval battle. The Whyatican fleet was top heavy, with far too many dreadnoughts, as opposed to escorts, and Kobech was ready to take advantage of this. The naval offensive began with a whole hearted missile barrage on the Whyatican escort fleet. The Golden Armada filled with smoke, spreading throughout entire nautical miles, and from the midst of black, putrid fumes, emerged the sparkle of warheads. Each ship was matched with five Principe III anti-shipping missiles, meaning a total of one thousand one hundred and twenty-five missiles, an absurd number, but as later quoted by Kobech in his trial in Fedala, "Completely necessary at the time. They had an equally absurd number of ships."

The Principe IIIs flew high at first, not fearing their radar since they were well beyond the horizon, and then as they approached the enemy fleet, near one hundred and fifty nautical miles, they dipped and began to sea-skim, slowing down a bit, and finally at around one hundred nautical miles they began their terminal manuevers, breaking their velocity, and at seventy nautical miles completely disentigrated, revealing one bristling Av.36 torpedo per missile, which dipped into the water nose first and began to rapidly make their way towards the pretargeted Whyatican shipping.

Already, GF-11 Archer UAVs had began to make their flights high up in the sky, using their radar transparent airframes to their advantage, and the Argentine class Galleon, along with the Zealous class Superdreadnoughts, began to engage the fleet escorts that had survived the attack using their extremely large and long railguns, hoping to outdistance their foes while they continued to pressure them with withering fire. No doubt the battle would soon intensify, however, with a Whyatican response, but by then, Kobech had thought that this section of the naval brew would be pocketed, and then he would have to worry about another numerically superior foe.

As if to press his beginning advantage even more, thirty seconds after the first impacts of Av.36 torpedoes on the Whyatican fleet, he ordered a second missile salvo, seeing the launching of two hundred Shockhound Avenger anti-shipping missiles, which flew high and then pounded from above. They were split into three groups, to confuse Whyatican radar, missile defenses, and point defenses, and make their attack from three seperate directions, making the probability of lethality higher. This second salvo was also aimed for the Whyatican escorts; the capital ships would have to be left for last [escorts including destroyers, cruisers, ADVs, et cetera]. With that, the Golden Armada braced for defense, quickly closing their ranks to fully maximize the potential of their defenses. Otherwise, perimeter destroyers, sprinting and then deccelerating, and continuing in that pattern, looked for enemy submarines, ready to pound them out of the water before they had a chance to even breath. Kobech was not going to give his enemy too many opportunities, there was too much money on the line.

Kobech ran into his command room and began to order his men around widly, "You, brace yourself for missile command. And you, prepare for a succession of counter-attacks. We're going to blow this fleet out of the water by today boys. I don't want any fuck-ups!" With that, the pace for battle had been set.

Medical Ship Comfort
Kingdom of Fourhearts

The Medical Ship Comfort and it's contingent of doctors, nurses, and aid were in the air on what seemed to be a clear blue sky. Captain Redhawk had served as Captain of the Comfort for many missions, and he always was ready when the call came. His crew was well trained, his doctors top-notch, and his ship was in perfect health.

Captain Redhawk gazed out into the distance.

Smoke...

It had started then, the emancipation had begun. He just hoped that smoke was coming from the bad guys. He was about to find out otherwise.

"Sir! Enemy missiles have just stuck hard against the Whytican Naval Forces. They're reporting wounded!", reported his Commo Officer.

Redhawk called for a red alert, Pilot, bring us down to that fleet. Transmit to the Whyticans that we're a medical team and are willing to pick up thier wounded. Number One, ensure the ER's are prepped and ready to go, we got wounded coming."

The Comfort slowly began her graceful desent to a height in which she could take on wounded without much trouble. Her white paint and bright red crosses made her stand out against the deep blue sea. She has painted on her Four Red Hearts, symbol of the Humanitarian Fleet.

Bridge, WSS Na'ib
"Grand Admiral..INCOMING!" an officer said as he detected hundreds of incoming contacts.

"All hands brace for impacts.." the Grand Admiral said as numerous automated defense systems came online to attack the oncoming salvos.

Scores of anti-ballistic missile batteries turned, aimed, and fired their ordinance towards the oncoming missiles, destroying 60% of the incoming missiles. Next, the layers of CIWS systems sent sprays of hot lead shooting towards the hostiles, destroying many more, but sadly, since no system is perfect, 5 outer-rung destroyers were hit heavily with enemy missiles.

The death-screams of hundreds of sailors were heard at that moment, as five Hannibal-class escort destroyers exploded in great fireballs, their smouldering husks sinking to the bottom of the ocean..

Anti-torpedo batteries were put on overdrive as the 1,125 torpedos came skimming across the ocean to the Whyatican ships, and hundreds of infrared-guided left their silos and flew towards Kriegzimmer sea-skimming torpedos; Seventy-five percent hit rate with the anti-missile batteries, and the remaining CIWS guns on the ships trained their barrels towards the remaining torpedos, and fifteen percent more were destroyed, but this left over fifty torpedos sailing towards the fleet unopposed, as ten more destroyers and cruisers sank towards the bottom of the sea.

"Launch all aircraft! Fire an anti-shipping missile salvo towards the Kriegzimmer escorts, train all railguns on their Argentines, launch as many torpedos as possible towards the outer-rim escorts. All heavy guns are to be locked onto their Galleons." the Grand Admiral ordered over the sounds of battle.

"Aye, sir." echoed throughout the bridge of the Zealous-class Superdreadnaught, as hundreds of air wingsmen prepared their aircraft for launch against a devious foe.

Large 30" and 25" guns on the Super-Dreadnaught and the Galleons rotated towards the enemy Galleons, and fired..The Whyatican response to the Kriegzimmer attack sent in fire..
Railguns fired their ordinance at the Galleons as well, hoping to overcome the formidable ship with sheer amounts of fire..

600 heavy anti-shipping missiles launched, 600 anti-shipping missiles targetted towards enemy escorts, especially the Paramount-class ADVs and Ilium class missile destroyers...

Elusive-class Battleships armed their 20" coilguns at the hostiles, and sent huge amounts of fire towards them..

The Grand Admiral Khan Abbas stared grimly out the window of his bridge, and wondered how many of his sailors would survive the day...

The Kahanistanian Republic Guard had brought little in the way of armored vehicles or tanks, as 100,000 troops are difficult enough to transport in 300 transports even without adding a few hundred 65-ton tanks to the mix.

They did, however, have a sizable air force, 100 MiG-35 fighter-bombers moved in at low altitude to attack the Concremians. While armor was in short supply, the Republic Guards carried anti-tank and anti-armor grenade launchers in addition to their AK-74's and Tavor TAR-21's.

The air force bombed the harder targets while RPG-7 rounds fired on the smaller tanks and Kahanistanian infantry dropped to the ground, crawling on their bellies toward the enemy.

Velkyan Fleet, 400nm off coast of Concremo

The trap was sprung.

The Velkyan fleet, previously engaging the Kraven missile silos on the coastline, began to move all ahead, with the lumbering super dreadnoughts and dreadnoughts beginning to move towards the pirate fleet. Two separate battle groups, each consisting of 500 ships, began to form, splitting the main force in two. Each force, lead by 2 Velkya Class Super dreadnoughts and 35 Gigantor and Pathfinder dreadnoughts, along with 500 escorts each, began to move alongside the "Golden Fleet", attempting to link up with their Whyatican allies.

As the ships cruised into formation, the massive rail guns mounted on the SDs and dreadnoughts of the fleet, guided by both IR and GPS, began to heave their deadly payloads at the enemy, targeting dreadnoughts and carriers in a murderous display of fire. As these massive warships began to pound the enemy with massive HEAP slugs, the smaller escort squadrons, consisting of destroyers and cruisers, began to fire their smaller five and ten inch ETC cannons at their enemy counterparts, as wave after wave of hundreds of torpedoes slammed from their revolver launchers, diving to depths of hundreds of meters. Once these iron fish had dived, they would cruise through the murky depths until they came near their prey and shoot up through the blue with the aid of a ramjet to place a massive explosive warhead through the keel of the enemy ships, which would break their backs and split them in two.

Above the sea, large waves of sea-skimming, near-hypersonic missiles streaked towards the enemy fleet, targeting the numerous escort squadrons that dotted the enemy fleet, attempting to deal a blow to the enemy's anti-air and anti-submarine capabilities. Traveling alongside these missiles were large, countermeasure and ECM spewing dispensers, nick-named “Shitheads” by the crew. These dispensers would confuse enemy SAM and CICW systems into thinking there were tens of thousands of enemy missiles, when in fact there were only two thousand or so. The carriers of the fleet were not silent, either. Hundreds of fighter aircraft, mostly ISF-2Ns, rose up, climbing to heights of nearly 120,000 feet, releasing their payloads of IR guided missiles at the enemy CAP drones, as quantum computers onboard the EWF-2Ns (the electronic warfare variant) began to work on deciphering the enemy UAV control signals, trying to get them to “defect” to the allied side. Strike fighters also launched, deploying their own payloads of anti-shipping missiles into the enemy fleet, hundreds in total. Some even managed to strike with ETC cannon pods mounted on their wings, targeting the smaller boats of the fleet.

As the aerial and surface combatants of the fleet pounded the pirates, hunter-killer and missile subs began to move into position, establishing a perimeter around the zone. Any enemy warship attempting to escape the hellfire would be destroyed by the phalanxs of long range anti-keel torpedoes now pounding the enemy from afar. Sub-launched anti-shipping missiles also poured forth, joining their surface launched brethern as they cruised towards the enemy fleet. Anti-submarine concussion torpedoes also came forth, targeting any enemy submarines lurking beneath the waves.

The enemy was trapped, and there would be no escape.

The Missiles launched from Velkya had to Pass the immense Defense line to reach their Targets, As such the Defensive Anti Missile systems opened fire, ZSU's brought down missile after missile, as the Overlapping Bunkered units put up the characteristing Wall of lead that was so effective when in numbers, However despite the effectiveness of the wall, Missiles continued inbound...

Reports from the Front ZSU's at the front line, sending back Battle Data informed the Hidden units of the inbound missiles, Immeadiatly, the ZSU's switched to automatic tracking and moved quickly to where they would be able to bring down the majority of the missiles, Despite the wood being as thick as it was, the chassis that the ZSU was designed on was created for us inside the tight roads of Urban areas, and as such could navigate the tight trees with ease....

The First of the missiles left from the salvo approached both target zones, and in unision the ZSU's went to work, Bringing down missile after missile, even so like before one or two missiles slipped through the fingers of the efficient ZSU's and ignited part of the forest, The Capitol Police quickly moved away from burning areas as troops were caught in the conflagration, Emperor Tanks moved bringing down trees, which using the Engineers Vehicles that were present in the Mechanised Battalion, moved out of the way, Creating Fire breaks and stopping the fire from spreading....

about 20 Capitol Police had been caught in the fire, and 2 APC's had been immobilised, their Rubber tires melting from the heat...

Still the Mechanised Army lay in wait...

Meanwhile in city 17 The Concremo 1st Army was being mobilised and brought up to the river, Where engineers continued to work to bring down the Bridges, setting up C12, Destroying these bridges would cut off any possibility of the Allied forces from advancing further inland, leaveing them trapped with their backs against the sea....

Southern portion of Velkyan Fleet

Tactical CGI maps of the battlefield filled up with the positions of the enemy bunker system, as the few (about twenty) arsenal ships covering the rear of the fleet began preparing a large salvo of bunker busting warheads, aimed at the first layer of enemy AAA bunkers, whose location was discerned from spy satellite and signal monitoring. A massive spread of missiles, nearly 1,000 in all, would be fired from the arsenal ships. Once airborne, they would travel only several meters above the ground, allowing only the first line of Kraven ZSUs to fire on them, greatly reducing their effectiveness. Once within a few miles of their target, the ramjets of the missiles would ignite, sending the missile and its HE warhead straight through the bunker and into the venerable ZSU inside.

About 1,000 of these were fired, as they skimmed along the coastline towards the first line bunkers.

[OOC: Some of the things thrown at me are moving beyond the scope of physics, and so I will roleplay as such. I'm a firm believer that any technological mistakes should RPd as such, and if that means you lose the battle to it, well that's what it means. It happened in real life, there is no reason why it shouldn't happen here. Also, although I will continue to RP, CIWS has a range of <2,000 meters, and cannot engage torpedoes; amongst other things. I also think a lot of you guys need to rethink your capital ship sizes - in fact, understood, it would cost around a trillion USD to be able to maintain over 40 dreadnoughts. Velkya only has five trillion in his budget. But, alas, in this RP it matters not.]

The entire fleet had begun to migrate behind the Whyatican fleet in an overarching strategy to cut Velkya out of the battle, but in the midst of the manuever a very important political decision had been reached; Whyatica was now a Kraven slave state, and the battle between Whyatica and the Golden Armada was over; not only this, but the ranks against Velkya had been bolstered. But, nonetheless, the fleet continued to place itself behind their new Whyatican counterparts, thus putting something between them and Velkya, where they could raid Velkya at will and expect little response; on the other hand, there was a good chance Whyatica would be blasted to hell, but to win you had to sacrifice something. But the fleet had been engaged quickly after the opening shots, by both the Velkyan and Whyatican fleet; nevertheless, their attacks would prove to be rather hasty, poorly designed, and rather innefficient, giving the fleet an opportunity to deal yet another blow to the Velkyan fleet, if not the Whyatican fleet.

While the fleet had begun to be engage by the heavy guns of the Whyatican fleet, any torpedoes launched by them fizzled out of fuel midcruise since the space between them and the Golden Armada was just too great. There were hits scored on the Empire's superdreadnoughts and galleon, but at that range there was no chance in hell in which it would be a lethal kill, and with the lack of any reconnaissance most of the shots would miss, either being too high, or too low. In essense, at that range of engagement any fleet would find it hard to plant an accurate shot on a ship with no proper reconnaissance. Even laser targetting at that range was extremely tenuous, at best, since the laser could be refracted by a sudden change in atmosphere [the smoke of the guns, for example].

Ensiak Hans Karlius looked at the fall screen propped in front of him, making one of the largest detection displays on the destroyer he was on. He could barely feel the destroyer accelerate as it did a routine sprint, in a standard anti-submarine manuever. Calm, he continued looking at the screen, knowing damn well in what kind of battle he was in, and he had made the right choice. Suddenly, the screen filled with hundreds of red arrows, the symbol for hostile missiles, and taking the intercomm he yelled, "Vampires, Vampires!" All of a sudden, the ship was in a frenzy.

In the command room of his Zealous, Kobech could hear the shudder of the guns of ships around him as they ripped foward, firing a host of CAPMES rounds, which were basically rounds designed to disentigrate in midflight, sending a host of thousands of small tungsten ball bearings in all directions, which would rip into the missile, sending it to the bottom of the sea. The huge battleguns, which most sailors thought could only engage other ships, began to divulge these same rounds, electrically setting their optical fuze to release at a certain time, putting them admist the tons of anti-shipping missiles and destroying them in leaps and bounds. As the missiles crept closer, the smaller anti-air artillery guns began to open fire, hitting with the same rounds, and making a mess of the missiles. Throughout the entire cacophony of guns, the Praetonian launchers had also made their presence known, sending a single wave of P.746.A surface to air missiles, which collided with Whyatican rockets in their paths. It was a mess, and finally completed as the conhort close-in weapon systems rotated in fury, sending a hail of bullets.

Kobech saw a tall cloud of smoke envelope the bow of a cruiser around thirty kilometers to his north northwest, and he saw a bright flash hit it on the starboard, possibly putting it out of action. There were several other points of impact that Kobech saw, and distressed he turned to his XO and said, "Bring me an updated damage report on the situation!" The other man turned to comply as quickly as possible.

All the while, the Velkyan fleet had attempted to engage as well, and Kobech made a final notice that his foes had no sense of range, or of the potential of their weapons. Again, the loud noises of torpedoes being dropped where heard, but so was the noise of them fizzling out, halfway between their targets and their source. The Golden Armada was two hundred nautical miles away, and the gap was opening. It was the same for their 'infra-red' guidance for their shells - it was utterly rediculous. The laser would merely defract and lose the energy required to get a clean calculation on the ship; in that mess, most of the Velkyan shells simply missed, while others didn't hit hard enough to make a very big impact on the larger shipping, although several escort ships were crippled. Furthermore, it had seemed that the Velkyan engineers had no sense of physics, as their missiles, hitting velocities of over Mach 4, attempted to make that rediculous range, sea-skimming; of course, they either ran out of fuel in midflight and plummetted into the ocean, or for the most part, they disintigrated - sea-skimming at 'near hypersonic' velocity was almost as insane as jumping off the top of a skyscraper. To say the least, the Velkyan attack had turned into one of the mightiest debacles in the history of naval warfare.

As the fleet continued moving behind the Whyatican fleet, opening the game between them and the Velkyan fleet, their response was in order. Fortunately, they only had to prioritize against the Velkyan battlegroup, as the Whyatican armada had suddenly turned friendly. The Velkyans had made a horrible mistake grouping their fleet into two seperate battlegroups, which meant that in this type of missile flinging engagement their defenses wouldn't be as concentrated as they would have liked; in other words, the resistance against an attack would worsen. Kobech could only guess that they had attempted a pincer manuever, and as if to insult his opponent he sent him a satellite databurst, "Go back to the army."

Kobech turned to the command comm and began to throw around orders, "Begin secondary engagement!"

In the sky, the GF-11 Archers continued their work on the most effective range finding in the battle to date, since it actually made sense. Because the system was not fully autonomous, any attempt by Velkya 'to take over them' was parried, and they continued in the service of the fleet.

The first order of action was the destruction of the Velkyan submarine force. Geosynchronous satellites had already been redirected over the battle area, for obvious reasons, and when those submarines had opened fire with the anti-shipping missiles they had opened up their location. And so, the massive blue-green lasers shot through the atmosphere, where the laser's wavelength would cause little defraction, and it pinpointed the exact location of the submarines. Without mercy, the fleet opened fire. There were ten Principe IIIs per submarine, as if to make sure that those ships did not survive, since the probability of a submarine surviving ten submarines was nil. The Principe IIIs flew at around .7 Mach, flying extremely slowly and putting out little exhaust which could translate into heat, and sea-skimmed the entire way to the location of the submarines, keeping out of radar for the most part. Fifty nautical miles from the position of the submarines the missiles tore apart and released their Av.36 heavyweight torpedoes, which crashed into the waves, nose first, and began their epic home on the submarines, putting ten torpedoes were submarines. It would take a miracle for those submarines to survive that; although perhaps the fleet would finally send a message to their foes that missile spamming with submarines was definately not the right strategy to partake in.

As the smoke cleared from the previous defense of the fleet, one could see the guns of every ship pointed towards the Velkyan fleet. Their task was not to annihalate it, as that was simply a rediculous thought; the fleet would operate tactically. The smaller escort ships would pick fight with the enemy escort ships, and the capital ships would do the same with their own Velkyan counterparts. The electromagnetically accelerated guns used on Kriegzimmer shipping began to spell out high explosive shells at incredible velocities towards the Velkyan fleet, accurately led by the radar transparent GF-11 Archer UAVs. The rounds, however, were not aimed for the superstructure; they were aimed simply for the radar domes and radar arrays on the top of the ships - in a massive bombardment the fleet aimed to totally shut down the enemy radar.

All the while, the verticle launch systems began to open their titanium caps as well, revealing the heads of hundreds of bristling missiles. They had been programmed through computers, within their tubes, and they began to launch out, doing what their program had told them to do. Some two hundred Shockhound Avengers were aimed for anything in the Velkyan fleet which had aircraft and runways; the missiles would fly high, at low supersonic velocities, and then come crashing down at a eighty degree angle, and at an altitude of around two thousand meters the warheads would break apart, sending dozens of anti-armour munitions, guided themselves. The munitions would hit the runways and simply put so many potholes into it that they would be rendered untenable for aircraft, meaning the Velkyan fleet had been deprived of its air arm.

Another two hundred Shockhound Avengers had been designed to home into Velkyan radar, putting the finishing touches to the Golden masterpiece. The missiles would find the hint of the electromagnetic radiation between 30 to 100 MHz [the frequency of standard radar], and then lock their computers, meaning no other emissions would confuse them, and simply guide themselves towards this, and do the same as their other counterparts; break-up overhead and send a myriad of anti-armour munitions to tear apart the radars on the shipping. Although it was unlikely that any Velkyan ship would sink after this attack, it would definately make them blind.

With that, the Golden Armada put itself behind the Whyatican fleet, basically setting up a wall. The Velkyan 'trap' had been foiled, and now it was Velkya who had put itself in a trap. Kobech turned to another sailor, working on the trajectories, and he said, "Now look young sailor, and future officer, this is how you win. Tactics."

"For all the tactics, however," said the XO as he walked back in, with the report, "we lost eight detroyers, six cruisers, seven frigates, and an ADV, putting total destroyed at twenty-two ships."

Kobech laughed, "Sacrificing allows you to win."

Admiral Keshast would vault over the railings as he laughed madly, The Velkyans were idiots, surely they didn't think his magnificent Nossolosk? EVen as he laughed madly while roaring out commands the entire fleet was moving, ships were surfacing and defensive fire was already being sprayed at the missiles downing them all, and then cackling maniacally in his madness his chest heaving and his eyes bloodshot and red he gave the fateful order, "Attack, Attack send them to the bottom, deploy the swarm unleash the Valgens and bring the Admiral's Justice down on the fools," for any close enough to look into his bulging eyes they would see the destruction of the future, burning cities and rampoaging psychopaths, the war was only just beginning, for the admiral had a plan, a plan that would destroy all that stood before him.

The Fleet was continuing to rise up out of the depths, the main core of the fleet had already surfaced and the great hatches had opened and the Torrken's were already launching, already a small swarm of the demonic machine's were launching their pilots in their bloodcraze ready to hunt and kill, even as the skies around them was lit up as Glood Guard Gunners shot down missile after missile thwarting the Velkyans opening salvo with casually understated ease, even now the fleet was manoevering for counter-attack, This admiral may be raving mad but he was no fool.

All around the fleet Destroyers, Frigates and Corvette's swarmed close laying down a withering hail of fire on any enemy that gotten close, high in the skies above the Swarm of Torrken's continued to grow and swell. Suddenly the swarm began to move as they headed hurtling along high up into the sky, their terrible forms spelling certain doom for their enemies they advanced.

"Attack the Hospital ships, send them spiraling down into their allies and destroy them all, launch missile's prepare for the attack order our armies on the ground that the time for the crusade is nigh, it is time to bring forth the gods," the Admiral loomed over his command table barking orders out at ensigns who ran frantically to carry them out, all too eager to retain their heads and indeed all of their other limbs as well.

All Over the fleet massive Telzor missiles would launch, in massive vollies in a startlingly wide spread to defeat enemy counter fire, such was the first salvo, but it was not the last, the ships continued to launch missile after missile, all at varying speed, some barely moving in comparison to the other missiles being launched, while others screaming a shirll sound of imminent destrcution as they soared through burning skies. At the same time the swarm descended down on the Velkyan fleet, while yes many would be destroyed by close in fire they would also plan to deal heavy damage, kamizing into bridge towers and the hospital ships opening fire on enemy defences dropping bombs on runways, slicing open deck plating and ripping through weapon emplacements, such was the blood symphony, the call opf the Blood Guard as they fought for an Admiral secreted far away in a hidden citadel, who with his Detzen Circle a group who casually massacred daily the enemies of their beloved leader under dark corrupted priests offering bloody sacrifice up to disgusted gods.

All this and more would begin to be unleased as the massive fleet advanced, the outer defence shell of it anhialating anything that attempted to get close, in the center of it dwarfing even the arsenal ships were a pair of Superdreadnoughts, dark clouds brooded over them, as a grim red light shone out and a massive explosive roar boomed over the surrounding area followed swiftly by a great terrifying mechanical roar, The Valgen had been loosed, their great serpentine mechanical forms soaring through air and skimming through sea, onwards they hurtled hurling rockets missile machine gun fire and opening fire with a startling are of lasers and guns, they seemingly burned in the very air itself, their great silvered forms glowed bright red as they screeched onwards, inside slowly sweating in a large air conditioned compartment sat a small few pilots pulling levers and aiming weapons.

Onward the fleet hurtled, it was as if demons had been risen from Valgen itself and had constructed a monstrous fleet, each of the ships seemed to be the devil itself as they began to hurl massive ETC rounds at the enemy ships as well as a startling amount of missiles, in the center of it, the twin Superdreadnoughts and their attendant craft continued to fill the skies with the burgeoning swarm, a great storm was brewing, and it was about to break on the Velkyans and sweep them from the seas.

Meanwhile on the Mainland the Armies had landed, and linked up with their Kraven foes, with them they bore the "gods" a great trick was about to be played, the Blood Guard rubbed their hands with glee as they thought of how the Velkyans react, would they fall down in worship or would they attack and be smoten by divine anger? They laughed at the thought even as they began deploying their own formations and moving their Torrkens into position, already several units had already gone forward and set up the sacred "altars" to summon them forth soon the Velkyans would enter a completly different type of war, but would they understand it? would they truly understand that nothing could stand against the admiral and his vision, that there were no defeats for Admiral Kukonois, merely a bump on the Journey in preparation for a great windfall of good fortune?

WARNING! INCOMING MISSILES! WARNING! INCOMING MISSILES WARNING! WARNING!

Captain Redhawk sprang to action.
"FIRE COUNTERMEASURES! ALL CRAFT TAKE EVASIVE ACTION!"

Several flares sprang out of the hosptial ship as it started to rise. The Comfort sent out an emergency transmission.

"ATTENTION ATTACKING CRAFT! THIS IS THE FOURHEARTS MEDIC SHIP COMFORT! WE ARE AN UNARMED HUMANITARIAN CRAFT! REPEART WE ARE AN UNARMED MEDICAL CRAFT, PROTECTED UNDER THE RIGHTS OF NEUTRAL NATIONS ACT AND THE GENEVA CONVENTION! PLEASE STOP YOUR ATTACK! PLEASE STOP YOUR ATTACK!!"

But it was no use. The missiles continued to swarm and assualt the craft. The ship's bridge took a direct missile hit causing the entire control system to malfuntion. The airship formation continued to rise, but they were in deep trouble. The Hospital Ships were larger and slower than thier combat sister ships. They never stood a chance against the enemy missile swarms.

Explosions rocked the airships, and they started to lose altitdue.

Captain Redhawk was knocked to the floor after a paticularly violent explosion.

"ABANDON SHIP! ABANDON SHIP!

As the Comfort started to burn, white air ballons filled with medical personell and paitents started to rise from the burning craft, followed by the burning husks of the Mercy and the Hope.

The husk of the airship hit the water hard and crumpled under the wieght.

The seas burned.

The white escape pods would begin to transmit a distress signal and a priority one message back to Fourhearts High Command.

Torrkens would swarm in to retreive the pods, there were plans for them, Kraven had requested live subjects for some unknown purpose, and of course the priests were eager for more sacrifices.

"Humanitarian to the enemy, burn in holy fire treacherous heathens," A torrken pilot had called as his craft had plowed into the bridge.

The rest of the demonic machines, having retreived the enemy escape pods swooped back to the very source of the madness, the great flagship of the fleet, their in his madness his chest heaving and his hair askew, his great voice booming and his hands trembling as he hung over his command table frantically screeching out his murderous desires Admiral Keshast engulfed in the Batlefury plotted the destruction of an enemy, meanwhile a covern of priests prepared their flaying knives over the sacred alters, cleaning out the dreaded gore and vile blood from sarcifices of old as nearby Blood Guard grinning evily their faces contorted in hate prepared to film the righteous sacrifices to gods that scorned them and their madness to the world.

Estate of the Former Minister Aziz Afnan

The Agent of the Corporation recieved a new order through the Command Relay; That unstoppable communication force that linked every single soldier and commander together..
It was like a voice whispering very softly into the ear of the Agent...

"The Whyatican Fleet approaches Concremo...Order them to turn on the Velkyans..."

The Agent nodded to himself, and mechanically moved over to a computer console which had recently been constructed for himself. He broadcasted an order to the Whyatican fleet group near Concremo;

The Velkyans have backstabbed us..You are to immediately cease fire on the pirate ships and begin to fire on the Velkyan ships..Do not allow them a retreat...

____________________________

The Grand Admiral Khan Abbas looked at his chair's computer screen and noted fresh orders from the High Command..

The Velkyans have backstabbed us..You are to immediately cease fire on the pirate ships and begin to fire on the Velkyan ships..Do not allow them a retreat...

The Grand Admiral was puzzled, for he was under the impression that the Velkyans were their allies for this conflict...Weren't they ATTACKING Kraven, not defending it? However, the Grand Admiral was in no place to question the orders of the High Command..

"Weaponry, order a complete ceasefire on the Pirates...Begin full salvos on the Velkyans!"

"What, Grand Admiral?"

"Did you mishear me, ensign? Fire on the Velkyans, full salvos.."

The guns turned around, albeit the gunners were confused..The massive guns of the Na'ib were targetted towards the VSS Oured, the known Velkyan flagship...Seeing the mistake of their first attack on the pirates, dozens of UAVs were launched to increase the accuracy of their further attacks, as well as satellite intelligence insured very good accuracy..

Hundreds of shells were fired, most targetting escorts, although the Super-Dreadnaught was targetting its Velkyan nemesis, and the Argentine Galleons were aiming for the other Velkyan super-dreadnaught..

Waves of anti-shipping missiles lept from missile destroyers, shooting through the air at Velkyan escort ships...Large caliber railguns aimed for enemy ships, firing tungsten rods at incredible speeds..

And still the Grand Admiral wondered on the sudden about-face...

"You have done well this day... and Already a Victory to our forces"

the Reichmarshal spoke, applauding the work by the Admirals forces...

stepping up to a young girl, aged twenty, her form was bound and gagged, left kneeling on the floor...

With a gloved hand he grabbed her face, turning it to better inspect the girls features....

"I Like this one... She Looks fertile... Our Pyhscians will make good use of her..."

He looked over the rest of the Captives...

"The Rest are no good to us... They are Not Velkyan...... Execute them all.."

The rest of the Captives would be taken screaming and kicking away, deep within the bowels of the ship and would be bound but not gagged, they would be held in a great chamber with ornatley carved statues, around them hung a great many skeltons, the place had a vile and rank odour about it, as a substance that looked and smelled suspicilously like blood sloshed around them as they lay bound, soon the Sacrifice would begin, soon they would know true pain.

Much later a Diri E I G Ignen Priests would sweep in, picking out 5 able bodied men, and 5 able bodied women, and had them to begin to move the statues, the Covenant Guard beside him left no room for argument, the Sacrifice would go ahead, but of course the fools did not know it.

Colonel Brezk would follow the Reichsmarshall out he had looked visually molified at the praise, but of course there would be a great deal more successess, he abrked out, his orders in a loud voice, oozing with rage at the thought that there were not more,"Blood Guard, bring the girl, undamaged" as an almost casual afterthought, as the sinister men slung their weapons over their backs and dragged the girl by foot and arm through the corridors after the Colonel who's vast frame and many years of experience allowed him to keep up with the Reichsmarshall, the vast ship rumbled with the constant vollies of fire being issued from it as the Hangar bays were hive's of activity, for the Swarms were growing as Torrken's in their seeming hundreds launched every second, and it was about go get worse, for their were more yet Valgen to launch. "This is nothing compared to what we have in store, we have some old friends eager to reaquiant themselves with the Velkyans, I'm sure you've heard of the Valgen," Colonel Brezk would laugh at this, there would be quite a reaquantiance to take place as well, the hard part was making sure there were survivors, in situations like this the Valgens' undeniable effectiveness was perhaps counterproductive.

The Blood Guard strode behind the pair their training was surivival of the fittest, they would simply not have survived this long if they could not keep up with a quick walking man, as their armed shone grimly in the dim red lighting of the ship they smiled evily at each other, they had seen what the Corporation did with Fertile Women, indeed such torture should be inflicted more readily, already similar methods were now being used where sacrificial victims were required to live as long as possible, and would once again be used very soon, very shortly.

400nm of Concremo Coast, Velkyan Task Force Blue, 1:02 AM

It was finally over. The terrible war that had killed millions...no...billions...was finally over. Involving over a dozen nations and resulting in the complete destruction of two, this horrid blight on the history of man had finally ended. As the naval battle between the Whyatican, Velkyan, and pirate fleet winded down, the troops counted themselves to be lucky. Nearly thirty ships, only about 3% of the fleet, had been lost in the skirmish. It looked as if the war for Concremo would pass without much bloodshed on either side. As the Velkyans collected their dead and wounded, a new threat made itself quite clear.

Velkyan Naval High Command Headquarters, CLASSIFIED

"A rebel fleet? From whom?" The young officer monitoring the satellite feeds responded. "Novacom, under the leadership of Admiral Keshast. Satellite and long range sensory reports indicate a large amount of fighter-sized craft inbound on Task Force Blue." The commander, having managed the situation off the coast of Xirnium several months ago, began to give orders.

"Get me a link-up to Admiral Jorgeson now, encryption level black!"

"Yes sir, right away."

Soon, the command center had established a data-link to the Oured, which has sustained little damage during the battle. Jorgeson was sitting in his command chair, monitoring data reports of the recovery operations. "Grand Admiral, sir!" He turned to a communications officer. "Yes, Ensign?" The recruit worked a few controls on his console, before the face of Supreme Admiral Harris filled his holo-screen. “Greetings, commander. As you may know, the rebel forces under Admiral Kukonois have surfaced in the area, and by all signs, have begun to aid the Kraven intelligence, ‘Father’”. They have attacked hospital airships belonging to the neutral nation of Fourhearts, and have downed three. In addition to this, a large force of airborne contacts is inbound on your FADP, we advise you to intercept them immediately before they can cause major harm to the fleet and the coast of Concremo.” Jorgeson sat back in his seat before responding to the alert. “My cruisers and RADAR picket ships have already detected the approaching mass, we have begun preliminary SAM targeting, and all available fighter squadrons are on Alert 5 status.” The commander on the other side saluted, and said, “Excellent. I wish you the best of the luck in battle, Admiral. High Command out.” The screen winked and faded out.

The admiral looked outside. As he did, he watched a YISF-6 scream off the linear motor catapult of his dreadnought into the crisp morning air. The ships readied themselves for battle. Marine fire teams armed themselves and collected their ammo, ready to repel boarders. Fighters, armed with AAM-91 Lancers and QMAAMs, cruised along at high altitude, waiting to pounce upon the enemy. Rail guns, ETC batteries, VLS tubes, revolver launchers, CICW guns and the heart and minds of thousands, no, millions of soldiers readied themselves for battle. From the largest super-dreadnought to the agile MR-4 strike fighter, every fighting man and woman in the fleet knew that the only way home was through that enemy armada. And they would fight, and they would win.

123,000 feet over fleet, 8:43 AM

“Romeo One to Liberty’s Light II, we have completed our ascent, on station, awaiting orders.” The sleek Longsword cut through the morning air, its squad-mates tailing behind it, their dark blue naval paint emblazoned with the golden eagle of the Velkyan Naval Air Force, as their leader conversed with their carrier. “Roger that, Romeo, remain on station until AWACs Firehawk directs you to target, over.” Romeo One gripped his flight stick, levelling the nose of his craft before yelling for his squadron to activate active camouflage. They did, and soon, the LCD skin of the fighters took the color of the dark grey sky around they, and they flew on, ready to meet the enemy.

General Lavalle's infantry would be useless against Admiral Keshast's fleet, and would be easy pickings for their machine guns and naval bombardment artillery. He ordered the C-5 Galaxies to take off from the carriers to retrieve the troops. To distract enemy attempts to destroy the transports, he ordered his MiG's to fire two HARM's each on the rebel Novan fleet to destroy their radar systems, then engage the enemy air force to give them something else to shoot at while the transports loaded the troops to be ferried back to the Velkyan ships.

He had only 100 MiG's at his disposal, but they would be enough to allow the 300 transports to load up and take most of the survivors back to the ships... if the enemy responded to the MiG's and not the poorly armed transports. If not, the enemy wouldn't have radar to track the allied air force anyway...

Command and Control, Fort Nassei, Whyatica
Sultan Khan Whyatica stared intently at a satellite image of the warring Zeonic and Velkyan fleets off of the Concremo coast. His brow furrowed, he waited for instructions from the Command Relay. The Whyatican fleets were much too far away to have any effect on the battle..

His wishes were granted when an order came in, almost like a whisper in his ear..
Use the Concremo shore defenses on the Velkyans

He nodded to himself, and yelled at a Private sitting at a weaponry console to get up. He sat down, and used the old Concremo defensive codes to patch into the Concremo defense network. All the missile silos were still active, as the reconstruction effort had not reached the shore defenses yet. He pressed yet more keys, and thousands of missile launchers were brought active.

These missiles were high-range missiles, with ranges up to 1,000 kilometers. The drawback to this, though, was that they had a smaller warhead than most missiles. More keys, and secondary missile batteries were brought online. The Velkyan fleet was targetted with every single missile in the Concremo defenses..

Huge roars of launching missiles were heard, deafening any poor soul who happened to be near the Concremo shore. The first salvo, two hundred fifty thousand missiles, one half of the Concremo stock, were fired at the Velkyans. As little as five minutes later, the rest of the Concremo missile stores were loaded, and fired. Five hundred thousand missiles..With that sheer amount, there was no way the Velkyans could intercept enough to prevent the loss of hundreds of ships.

But, the Concremo missile defenses were now depleted, and with the Logistical Korpz gone, the missiles would never be resupplied..

V.S.S. Oured, Velkyan Task Force Blue, 400nm off Concremo coastline, 3:32 AM

“Jesus, sir!”

The watch commander turned. “What is it, lieutenant? The RADAR operator pointed towards the scope. His face turned to pure shock, but he quickly suppressed that feeling. “How many contacts is that, Perkins?” The operator pressed a few buttons. “Two waves, each consisting of a quarter million missiles, spread over a one hundred fifty kilometer area. The commander nodded, picking up a communications transmitter. Soon, the fleet was on alert. Missile defense ships readied their weapons. Quantum computers calculated the heading and trajectory of the missiles, feeding them into FAD ship’s massive VLS pods, filled with long range SAMs, their normal HE and ball bearing warheads replaced with an EMP warhead. Now, these missiles would be deployed. Each missile would impact a predetermined area, each capable of knocking out vast quantities of closely packed missiles. In the close quarters the missiles flew in, even one missile would be devestating.

The advanced computers onboard the Fleet Air Defense Ships, cruisers, and dreadnoughts calculated that, with the right amount of spacing, twenty thousand missiles would be enough to do the trick. Ten thousand for the first wave, and ten thousand for the second. And that's exactly how they launched. Massive plumes of smoke shot outward, as a quarter of the EMP warheads of the Velkyan fleet ripped out from their VLS launcher tubes and turret mountings. More of a constant barrage then a single mass launching, the timing had to be perfect. As they approached their intended targets, their warheads armed, timed to release their deadly pulse simultaneously to allow for maximum effect against the enemy missiles.

RADAR operators waited patiently for the collision. It seemed almost like a game of Missile Command, expect this was real, and they were a very real chance of them being killed. Then, impact. Even from the ships of the fleet, the crackle of electricity could be heard. Throughout the mass of Kraven missiles, mass chaos ensued, as guidance systems, warheads, and engines failed, their circuitry fried by the overload caused by the Velkyan missile strike. Missiles collided with each other, wreaking havoc among the oncoming missiles. Some continued onward in a straight line, their engines still functional but everything else dead. Others simply dropped into the ocean, useless hunks of metal.

Still, 10% of the enemy missiles continued onward. Fifty thousand missiles to be tracked and killed by the conventional SAMs and CICW defenses of the fleet. Missiles streak outward in a constant bid to stave off the impending strike, but still, missiles found their mark. Assault ships, filled with troops, were hit, as their cargo and crew evacuated the ships before they could slip below the black sea. Arsenal ships exploded in massive fireballs, as dreadnoughts staved off the hits, their CICW guns firing wildly as millions of rounds were put into the air, which grew thick with missiles and explosions.

Then as quickly as it had occured, the storm passed. All was quiet. Ships lay damaged, their hulls broken, as more ships sank, leaving behind life tenders which cruised towards the nearest survivor. In all, over two hundred of the three thousand ship fleet ships were sunk, and a further hundred lay damaged in some way. However, the plan had worked, and the fleet had been spared from the massive strike.

But now, the Velkyan fleet faced a new challenge, the huge Novacom fleet bearing down on them.

"Sir Message from Citadel, General Zrinidal has just died,"

The words echoed across the bridge, Admiral Keshast stood their in shock, his bone white face a mask of horror, his mind ticking over his eyes bulging his hands clenched into tightened fists his mouth hung slack and his brow was drenched in a cold sweat.

so I am the last, were his despairing thoughts, his mind cast round for answers, for reasons.

surely this cannot be, we swore that we would never fall, that we would forever fight to the last, that we would bring victory, has all of this been for nothing? he ambles despondently over to the plotting table with a perilous gait his head hanging loosely as he apparently takes a great interest in the floor.

NO, I refuse to accept, that, SIEG ZEON, HAIL THE ADMIRAL, his head bolts up a deep fire burning in his eyes, the madness surrounds him yet for once it does not consume, unholy creatures seemingly dance in front of his eyes, beckoning him to them, they call in the voices of his dead comrades, and in the midst of it all rises the long dead Malo Kukonois cackling amongst it all, around his neck is coiled a monstrous creature, a Valgen, not the poor imitation soaring freely in the skies above the Nossolosk, but an actual living Valgen, it’s fiery mane it’s metal form it’s wrathful features it glares at Admiral Keshast as it roars at him.

Admiral Keshast stared on in despair, how could this be, was it not enough that his world was collapsing for his past to now come and engulf him in cold flame? The dead admiral leered around the bridge and twirled around for a moment, like a flame engulfed spinning top, and all around him the bridge shattered, leaving a broken abyss, with a few desolate isles of harsh rock within a sea of flame and fire. Within the fire lurked horrible memories, the hateful dead and the horrible deeds.

"It is your destiny to join us, for my son is doomed, doomed to death, he has turned his back on our ways, he embraces new ways, in the name of the future he claims, but he is wrong, he shall die and take you with him unless you follow my command for one last time," fire seemingly engulfs the ghostly image his hands burns as a great conflagration surrounds him licking at his mournful form, yet he is not consumed by flame, merely engulfed, he averts his gaze from the dead apparition instead eying up the progress of the battle, the men and women around him, the secret talks with Poval Kukonois, the horrors of Valjsguard, the death of Malo Kukonois, he looks through all of it, and he sees the truth.

"Before I served Madness, now I serve the future, you have no power over me," he shrieks vigorously as the fire explodes outwards and the ghostly form looks down upon itself in horror as massive pulses shudder down it’s form and as it looks up in fury it screams as it explodes and the creatures wither into nothingness, a bright light seemingly engulfs his mind, a blinding light. And the abyss fades, the hateful dead claw once more at him trying to reach him and the hateful deeds attempt to surge closer, yet they fear the light for it was strong and it was good.

"Admiral, Admiral, are you all right? Admiral Admiral," a pair of hands would shake Admiral Keshast by the shoulders, the coldness of the floor swam over Admiral Keshast's back like a malevolent Tide, his hands cold and clammy his eyes sunken his mouth slack yet he still felt life, and a warmth stirring within.

"My mind, I can think clearly now, I haven't felt this way in a long time, since Valjsguard, the madness is over, the madness is over."

The voice calls to him again and once more he feels shaken, at last opening his pallid eyes he looks up, as if looking around for the first time, he sees, he sees the comms officer, the bridge of his beloved Nossolosk, he sees a very ominous sight on the monitors and lays eyes on an ensign standing nervously behind the comms officer holding a sheaf of papers.

"out with it, we don't have time for gyrating around, I'm fine you hear me get back to your post. You ensign stand before me at once." as this is shouted out he clambers to his feet, realizing the dire state of his body, the madness had exacted a great cost from him, but he would recover, and he would bring upon his enemies a great cost.

The crew stopped for a moment stunned, this admiral was a different man, no longer crazed, seemingly no longer capricious, yet there was hesitancy, after all tigers don't change their stripes on a whim, yet there was hope, Admiral Keshast did not habitually collapse on the ground and neither did he look set to make it a habbit.

"Stay at your posts, have Radar defense measures implemented and send the surviving Valgen after the Kahanistanians, inform General Jelzrenen that he is to engage the Kahanistanian forces in Conremo and prepare for his withdrawal, all forces will prepare for battle, we will sink the Velkyans for the Admiral and for The Principality, SIEG ZEON," he bellowed out his voice echoing throughout the cavernous bridge, outright shocking several of the crewers back to work, something was amiss as far as they were concerned, yet they would fight, they would fight and win, they no longer doubted their capabilities forever the future forever Zeon.

Order quickly reasserted itself throughout the fleet, the momentary lapse accounted for Naught and the swarms of Torrken continued to fill the air, the nearest swarms would sweep into the Kahanistanian formations, fully 300 would begin opening fire in a frenzy at the Kahanistanian Migs, while another 50 would soar after the transports, the ill armored mechas would duck and jink for all they were worth while offloading as much munitions as they could as they fired furious round after round at the Kahanistanians all the while wary of counter-attack, with a terrifying roar the terrible creatures surfaced from the depths, their molten silver forms shining in the sun as the water dripped slowly off, they thrashed about in the air roaring yet louder again, chilling even many of the Zeonic forces to the bone, the eyes of the things glowed a bright red as they swarmed into the attack, spitting fire and flame as well as heavy machine gun and rocket fire they attacked, saving their heavier weapons for later, they surged forth into the fray sometimes ramming clean through the enemy fighters shattering and splintering airframes into a million toothpicks, yet there was something amiss, the Zeonic forces were moving strangely most unlike General Drejas, perhaps it was merely a difference in style, perhaps it was something else....

General Jelzrenen would slam a new clip into his machine gun, around him soldiers began packing things up as he stepped casually over a fallen ensign squirming around to pick up important documents with an unholy vigor he addresses the group of Reichsmarhsalls, "We're leaving, your welcome to come with us, and live or stay here and end up standing trial and dying." without waiting for an answer he continues over to the far side of the command center and with a flourish seizes a radio and begins bellowing orders, "Attack group 16 destroy the Kahanistanians from the east, Attack group 17 destroy the Kahanistanians from the west, Attack group 19 Destroy the Kahanistanians from the south, all other forces prepare to retreat, all forces inside City 17 retrieve anything of value and withdraw to the north west and prepare for withdrawal, SIEG ZEON," with an almost hoarse roar he finishes, snap turning back and barreling into an ensign he shouts again, "GET THESE DOCUMENTS SORTED ALREADY."

"Sieg Zeon," Brigadier Holtepf would whisper into the radio in response, turning a dial on the bottom of the device he begins to whisper out his orders as his attack group stealthily advances forwards, in the distance Jonvukas Assault Cannon would begin to hammer out rounds at the Kahanistanian forces, Torrkens based on the land would begin their assault while the attack groups converged on the force, the Brigadiers idly checked a pocket watch holding it up to his eye before clicking it once, time for victory as he lined carefully up a Kahanistanian lieutenant in the sights of his rifle, time for the rise of Zeon pulling the trigger without a second thought sending a round hurtling towards the mans skull, another man to meet his fate to the fortunes of war.

The attack groups would begin their attack hurling grenades wielding flamethrower, rifle and bayonet alike, in front of them marched Covenant guard wielding large shields to shrug off most return fire while firing with machine guns into the ranks, overhead Torrkens surged from above in all directions, the men all chanted one phrase, Sieg Zeon, Sieg Zeon. It would be the last thing many heard before they met their deaths as they continued to press forwards.

All around Concremo Zeonic forces would swiftly withdraw to the northwest, there a small fleet of Transport Submarines began loading up forces, while a large flotilla formed a tight ring around them, advance units had already fortified the area, should any land attacks come their way before withdrawal, Jonvukas Assault Artillery was deployed and Machine Gun Nests were set up, they didn't expect to use them, but of course they didn't take chances not when their withdrawal would ensure that they would be able to fight again another day, and that another day would be most deadly.

Meanwhile back at the fleet the radar of the ships core to the Armada would suddenly go dead, however not due to the pitiful attempts to blind them, no something else, as the outer ships activated additional radar devices to draw in the missiles while Defender ships took aim and began to fire, meanwhile the entire fleet reconfigured itself to press at the Velkyans and push them back to the coast, all across the fleet great sections of amour plate opened up to reveal powerful batteries and launchers all ready to open fire on the Velkyans, while all over the fleet Torrkens soared to the skies.

Meanwhile Admiral Keshast had another scheme brewing in his brain, thoughts swirled and plots coalesced, when a rogue thought came to the fore "Inform the Lovers to prepare for battle,"

The Zeonic soldiers were pounding the Kahanistanian infantry on the ground, and only 6,000 of the soldiers made it back to the boats, while another 10,000 were shot down in flight. The MiG's were losing heavily, but the orders for the transport pilots were to get as many Kahanistanian soldiers onto the Velkyan ships as possible, the needs of the many outweighed the needs of the few.

About 65,000 Kahanistanian soldiers remained in Concremo, and to avoid the Zeonic ships' weapons, General Lavalle ordered them to retreat deeper into Concremo. They had intelligence that the Kraven and Concremian forces were no longer threats, and any Zeonic planes that made it in that far possibly risked the Concremian forces, if there were any left. But Kahanistan couldn't rely on them, the commanders brought out their mobile SAM launchers and MLRS, the only weapon Kahanistan had there that stood a chance of damaging a naval vessel.

Velkyan Task Force Blue, 6:02 AM, 400nm off Concremo coastline

Fury.

That was the emotion in the hearts and minds of the Velkyan sailors and soldiers manning the Task Force Blue unit. Already angry at the surprise Whyatican attack on its ships, the fleet began to ready its massive arsenal.

Through the blue skies, the YISF-6s and ISF-2Hs of the fleet, sitting high above the clouds, began to release hundreds air to air missiles into the Torrken swarms, raining hell as nimble AF-17s screamed below the detection systems of the enemy, raining down napalm, Ballista anti-armor missiles, and Steel Rain IR guided submunition dispensers upon the rebel Novacom ground formations, whilst avoiding Kahanistani troops on the ground. The main squadrons of ISF-4Ns began to also move towards the battleground, releasing their stores of Beyond Visual Range ALRAAMs into the rapidly advancing mobile suit squadrons before breaking off, using their weapon's ranges to their benefit as the swarm of enemies approached the fleet's ADZ. Then, in a scene similar to that of the mass Kraven attack, long range surface to air missiles ripped out from the fleet, targeting the enemy suits with swarms of missiles. In their massive, poorly thought out formations, attempting to swerve out of the way of the missiles would be suicide.

The big guns of the ships also began to pound the enemy from afar, as their huge rail guns began propelling guided slugs at extreme velocities at the enemy carriers and battleships. Destroyers and cruisers scanned both above the water and below it for signs of any enemy activity, which would be met with extreme prejudice. Anti-shipping missiles would hold off for the time being until they could get into range, as to avoid the massive blunder the Navy had faced yesterday against the mercenary navy of Kreigzimmer.

Up in orbit, the familiar sight of the orbital guns of the Allied Union Space Force came into view, as their own massive rail guns began to target the enemy super dreadnoughts exclusively, their huge slugs raining down like meteors upon the behemoth enemy ships, as a new sight came into view. A huge satellite, with multiple pods, like a sort of cargo vessel, came into geo-sync orbit, stopping with small retro rockets. It released its pods, which proceeded to enter Earth's atmosphere, heating up their heat shields but leaving the cargo inside unharmed. Then, with a flourish, the small pods opened up, releasing one hundred missiles per pod, which began to receive target data from the powerful RADAR arrays mounted on AWACs craft and cruisers of the Navy along with the GPS satellites ran by the AUSF. The missiles began to jet towards the transport flotilla that was picking up the rebel troops.

In a flurry, they activated their scramjet engines, exclusively targeting the transports, pushing the missiles to nearly Mach 12. Once the scramjets became ineffective, a normal rocket engine would push it into the enemy transport, spearing it in half if it was successful. As the missiles came, the launcher rocketed away from the battle zone, to be rearmed at a later time via RUREC.

As the aerial, naval, and spatial forces of the Allied Union began to exact their vengeance, large hovercraft hit the beaches of Concremo, pouring men and vehicles onto the shoreline. Radio signals called the Kahanistanis, urging them to bring themselves back into the protective umbrella of the Velkyan fleet and the oncoming ground forces.

Defensive firebases were also formed, five in all, using the heavy Grizzly and Mammoth tanks that the 1st Armored Division had brought with them (as well as portable barriers and natural terrain) while the Marines brought themselves to the front via Dragon IFVs, setting up machine gun nests and anti-tank launchers in the forests and rock formations. Snipers, hidden by the thick brush, viewed the battle through advanced binoculars, while they held their rifles in hand; ready to purge the rebel army of its officers. The tank and IFVs of the Marines also came online, cannons loaded and missiles armed. as the artillery guns of the Marines and Army began to open up.

Self-propelled SPA-43 "Boomer" 210mm artillery cannons, firing ETC assisted shells began to fire, using satellite feeds to adjust their fire. MRLS systems also began to open up, raining guided sub munitions on the Zeonic forces. Mobile Demon air defense platforms were the last to dig in, as they fired SAMs into the enemy air forces in conjunction with the fighters above before beginning to open up with their anti-aircraft cannon, filling the sky with lead and missiles.

The Kahanistanian ground commanders noticed that the Zeonic troops were being fired upon. The Velkyans were landing.

General Lavalle didn't need much convincing to bring his forces under the Velkyans' protection. "Back to shore, we've got work to do!"

60,000 Republic Guards charged the Zeonic soldiers in a bid to return to the beach and join the Velkyans, firing anti-armor rounds on the Torrkens and TAR-21 assault rifle fire onto the Zeonic infantry as they moved.

"WHAT!? I don't care get the hell out of there, blow anything and everything, get across the river and blow that last bridge that'll hold em up long enough, we're returning to Keltzar before going anywhere else, we cannot allow them to discover Citadel or Axis, All Torrken units begin firebombing of the beaches, all remaining City 17 forces retreat at once, evacuation units at full alert and get me Admiral Keshast on this blasted thing already." General Jelzrenen would hoarsely screech as he and his command staff along with the Kraven Reichmarshalls hurried down the escape tunnel, rubble was already descending in small trickles due to extensive bombing and movements above, the situation was dire, with the collapse of the Corporation Zeon risked being overwhelmed, but he would not allow it, he would save his forces for another day, pulling his cap tight on his head as he wiped his sweat and soot ridden brow he glares at the lieutenant handling the radio, contemplating for a moment taking a leaf out of the late General Drejas book, before dismissing the thought, no he needed his men alive.

Above Zeonic forces hurled the last of their ordinance before retreating at speed, Jonvukas Assault Cannons laying down a barrage intended to discourage pursuit, that and the extensive minefields that had been lain on the beeches along with the still active coastal defenses would hold them for a while, at least until the Zeonic forces could escape. As they escaped they let loose a withering hail of bullets and several sweeping strokes with bloodthirsty bayonets and slicing swords intent on dealing as much damage as possible while escaping intact.

The Zeonic armies in their entirety began a phased withdrawal to the north west, the advantage was in their hands, for as fast as the Velkyans could disembark, the Zeons could just as quickly embark, and with the havoc being caused by Torrkens with their rear mounted bomb dispensers running amok it look likely for the Zeonic forces to escape, yet some remained, strategically placed at positions the enemy would have to pass and could not avoid, just enough to delay the enemy, snipers attempted to pick off officers, but alas the Rank structure of the Zeonic army was unknown to them so they couldn't pick off any officers, instead only managing to kill soldiers before Torrkens plastered the beaches with a massive firestorm in form of their incendiary bombs from their dispensers, which after being expended were promptly ejected further adding to the furious inferno, yet even as this was happening Torrken were skewered and speared by enemy missiles, many escaped yet several hurtled down to the inferno below exploding violently while several others aimed themselves at the enemy hovercraft intent on doing their duty to those who would survive.

The Evacuation forces having been alerted to the possibility of a foolish attempt to destroy them from space had countermeasures ready and when the missiles were launched so were the fleet's own, over a hundred missiles hurtled up to meet their rapidly descending counterparts, abruptly they exploded showering them with millions of super heated ball bearings, and at such a speed every single descending missile would find itself scrapped and slagged almost instantly, on the bridge of the Nossolosk Admiral Keshast nearly laughed himself into a fit at the folly of the Velkyans, surely they didn't think he was going to let that stand? almost unbidden an ensign carried out his silent order as several of the launchers of the Arsenal ships launcher their missiles sky high into the atmosphere targeting the Velkyan Orbital monstrosities through a variety of methods, through showers of ball bearings, through missiles through machine gun fire and through kinetic impact, a dizzying array of varied missiles were launched up at the satellite’s positions, so foolhardily given away by the wasteful attack, a great deal of the foolish attack had been thwarted with ease, through many of the same methods and several other more unusual ones, some of which had caused trouble for the Zeons as several of the Torrkens maneuvered sluggishly and were promptly shot down by enemy fire.

Brigadier Holtepf would roughly shove his pocket watch back into his tunic as he shouted out his orders, “Continue the Withdrawal, rear guard units should be ready to engage the Velkyans if needed, apart from that do not stop for anything,” he silently cursed himself, they had been poised to wipe out the Kahanistanians before those Velkyans had showed up, they’d had well over 3 hours slugging it out with them and they had fortunately began their withdrawal well before the Velkyans had landed, fortunately they had a good head start on the enemy, and with luck they would be able to save the bulk of the armies, there were other plans that needed these armies more then the fallen stronghold of a dead ally, he furtively cast his gaze at the men around him, it is a pity I suppose oh well nevertheless he and his men continued their swift withdrawal while Torrkens continued to make havoc for the enemy, and delay their advance considerably it would have to do, at least this way he would get many of his men back to their families, because they would need the rest, for a grand plan was in the offing one that spelt certain doom for the enemy.

The Apparent disorder was a mere farce and belied their true nature as the formations accelerated forwards causing the enemy missiles to overshoot, the ones that did follow were promptly lost when the Torrkens descended before swiftly ascending again, they promptly formed up into trio's and swooped into battle, the trio of trios attacks from different angles ensuring that there would be no escape for the enemy fighters, nor would the enemy defenses be able to effectively counter them, even as Valgen descended from upon high skies like a great crashing wave upon the beach, before opening fire on enemy defensive batteries with brightly colored Lasers missiles furious fire and mournful cannon shots in addition to a terrifying array of terrible missiles and rockets. Torrkens unleashed their own Anti Ship missiles from every possible angle, this fleet was a wholly different animal from General Drejas, it was to be expected, for this fleet was lead by an admiral adept at sea battles opposed to a general who used his ship as his headquarters for ground operations. The batteries of the fleet began ranging shots to gauge the distances for engagement, they were of course unscathed by the enemy fire, and the ships that had been hit had suffered little damage.

The Nossolosk stood in the center of the Zeonic fleet, respelndant in it's glory as it prepared it's mighty arsenal like the entirety of the fleet, it continued to laucnh it's swarms of Torrkens and they in turn formed up into great formations and squadrons all ready for the order, the batteries stood ready, defensive batteries were armed and aimed skywards and seawards ready to ward off the attack, all across the fleet men and women raced through the corridors eager to carry out the orders ot their revitalised admiral, ready to do their duty, ready to defeat the Velkyans, they were ready for war.

“Progress on the evacuation?” Admiral Keshast purred to an ensign, his cap snuggly placed over the top of his mane of graying curls, the bridge was a hive of activity, and it shook ever so slightly as the great batteries of the ship let loose their first shots.

"The first units have already boarded, however sir, 50% of our forces have yet to even reach the evacuation site, and several units are holding rearguard positions to keep them pinned down, at the moment they can’t cross the rivers, due to all the bridges being out, but it won’t take them long to get bridges set up, it’ll take them time however, time we need.” The Ensign finished gulping slightly as he adjusts his uniforms lightly, “but sir I’m wondering, how did you know the enemy would use those satellites of theirs?”

“Quite Simple, they use them at every possible opportunity they get, like a over proud woman showing off her latest dress at every possible opportunity, and that will be their downfall, by constantly showing off their satellites they make them a target, an easy target. Now back to war, have the lovers launched yet?” smiling as he places both his hands on the plotting table keenly eying up the progress of the Naval battle, “oh and by the way have the fleet scrambled for missile attacks, the Velkyans are incredibly predictable, they think they can hide their fighters from me, and then foolishly empty their entire arsenals at my fleet in a vain hope of destroying us. It will be their downfall ensign, their over confidence, their decadence,” he pauses the bitterness and anger in his voice evident, his clenched fists quivered and his eyes widened, General Drejas had been one of his best friends, yet he had died at the hands of the Velkyans, deep in the madness as he had been also at the time, but he was now free, but the Velkyans would pay the price, and a terrible price it would be he reflected as he continued.

“their foolhardy playing at war, they do not realize that they send their men to their deaths and neither do they care when they do not come back ensign, however they are not evil, merely drowning under their own arrogance, did you see their statement on the defeat of the Corporation, complete garbage, you’d think they defeated the corporation not Automagfreek, hah the fools soon the Velkyans will know the true meaning of war, soon, soon Ensign, now back to your station, and be mindful of any enemy tricks, they like to trick people a lot they do.” Admiral Keshast lowered himself into his chair grasping his herbal tea sipping it gently leering over at the plotting table, he had a plan but it would take timing, and it needed the Lovers to set to work.

“Lovers you’re needed to launch immediately,” came over the chambers radio,

“Lorenzo it’s time for some fun again,” Lauren would purr to her counterpart as she fastened up the last strap of her Pilot Suit as she playfully tickled her lover’s nose with her long nailed fingers

“I know my sweet, but I’d much rather be in here with you planning the wedding, but orders are orders my love.” Lorenzo sighed in reply laughing gently at the playful contact meshing his fingers with those of his lover as they gazed deep into the liquid depths of each others eyes.

The two close in for another embrace, cheek to cheek arms to arm lip to lip as they curl up in a lovers embrace, before reluctantly parting and making for the door, the Lovers were on the march to war, and hell hath no fury like a Lover Scorned.

Orbit over battle zone 6:12 AM

Thankfully for the Velkyan orbital gunners, the Zeonic naval commanders had never studied even basic science, and it was evident as the bulk of the missiles launched at the orbital guns fell back to Earth, failing to achieve the escape velocity necessary to breach the Earth's gravitational pull and strike the Battle Cluster. Those missiles that somehow got through then began to be targeted by the small fragmentation mines that surrounded the four orbital guns, blowing themselves apart in a fury of silent explosions. In the end, the foolhardy attack was unsuccessful, and the guns kept firing, sustaining only minor damage.

Velkyan Firebases, 6:14 AM

The second blunder of the Zeonic forces was their gross underestimate of the location of Velkyan troops. Instead of retreating towards their transports, the rebels fled northwest, right intothe newly established Velkyan and Kahanistani defensive lines inland. In a blaze of hot lead, the ISAF infantry opened up from covered positions, spewing highly accurate fire into the advancing infantry as rallying cries came over the radio. Anti-tank rockets ripped out from the firebases, targeting both enemy vehicles and armored shock troops, their booms accompanied by the blasts and thumps of artillery, from lowly mortars to large MRLS batteries. The Velkyan armor also opened up, sending 125mm ETC shells into the enemy vehicles as the smaller Infantry Fighting Vehicles began to unload their own 20mm auto cannon and ATGMs on the Zeonic troops. Snipers, welding both normal and antimaterial rifles, also took aim, watching who gave orders before taking the shots. It appeared to the spy satellites that the Zeonic forces had been met with a solid wall of lead and missiles.

Above the ground battle, Velkyan fighters continued their brutal onslaught, launching even more long range BVR missiles into the enemy aircraft while staying out of the mobile suits' weapons. The Zeonic attack on the beaches was a complete failure, again, due to their failure to figure out where the Velkyan troops were. A few dozen troops killed and a few plumes of fire were all that came of the attack. In return, the fighters and AAA batteries of the Allied Union intensified their barrage, as more missiles came from both below and above the mobile suit squadrons, sandwiching them. Shoulder fired missiles from below joined the fray, striking at any Torrken that ventured too close to the ground. Due to chaotic situation, about twenty Velkyan fighters were downed in the chaos of flak and missiles, going down, some with a pilot, some without.

(OOC: Before I finish my response, allow me to lay a few arguments down upon thine table.

Argument No. 1: Your mobile suit and Valgen swarms simply passed over the three thousand ship Velkyan fleet and began striking the ISAF troops that had advanced inland.

Argument No. 2: brightly colored Lasers

This isn't FT. Fix it.

Argument No. 3: The Apparent disorder was a mere farce and belied their true nature as the formations accelerated forwards causing the enemy missiles to overshoot, the ones that did follow were promptly lost when the Torrkens descended before swiftly ascending again

Care to explain how you can accomplish this astounding feat with a very un-aerodynamic mobile suit AND without taking losses?

Argument No. 4: The batteries of the fleet began ranging shots to gauge the distances for engagement, they were of course unscathed by the enemy fire, and the ships that had been hit had suffered little damage.

Do you know how much damage a rail driver can do, even to a capital ship?)

I keep my tech relativley tame, and I'm not the only one who uses submersible ships, the whole idea of having the Kukonian/Zeonic fleet submersible was from the NS Dratfsroom and it was said to be possible while it had it's disadvantages.

I had tons of other far more outlandish ideas that I could have used, however I have kept well within the realms of the possible, I have yet to break any laws of physics or nature.

And yes things do need to cool down.

OOC: Yes, The Missile Launchers have been depleted, the other automated defenses, Such as Autocannons, Assault cannons etc are still online and have ammunition, as for walking out, its up to you but all you will achieve is looking like the child, I've put this on hold for a reason, and thats for you both to calm down and start again, Don't be so quick to chastise Novacom for Tech that defies the laws of physics, I seem to recall your Mach 10 fighter bombers

Mach 10 bombers are quite possible, why don't you read up on it?
