Forze Di Mercenary Della Generazione Seguente / Next Generation Special Mercenary Force

Mercenaries del Italia (Henceforth known as MdI) is a new private establishment in the business of hiring out Mercenaries. MdI is a small but efficient group of combat hardened veterans who were either discharged or quit from armies around the world. Each member of this establishment has served in endless variety's of missions ranging from terrorist attacks to counter-terrorist activities, from launching attacks on military installations to being in front-line invasions. The Head of Operations itself is located in a secluded area near the Foreste Casentinesi (Casentinesi Forests) National Park, in which many different training scenarios are conducted in varying conditions. With MdI being so close to the Alps in the north, the force sends it's recruits to brave the harsh conditions as part of a revised survival regime.

Though not all soldiers leaving the military can just sign up for MdI Membership. MdI receives many would-be soldiers through self-nomination, friends in the establishment and members who spot talent in the veteran soldiers of the world armies. To gain access to the establishment and gain a status within, new recruits must pass grueling tests which pit their skills to their limits. The tests are as follows:

Those who passed the selection course have to take the following
professional training courses:

*. Battlefield survival test (14 weeks)
*. Shooting practice (very high standard is required; 100% to
the target 548 meters away, 95% to the target 914 meters away)

*. Conquering mountain terrain
*. Martial arts / Hand-to-Hand combat
*. Border crossing
*. Guerilla combat
*. Land navigation
*. Map reading
*. Escape - avoiding dangers
*. Field combat medicine (10 weeks)
*. Rebelling ranger practice
*. Weapons
*. Nautical control and navigation
*. Diving, underwater sneaking
*. Canoe
*. Parachute skydiving practice (4 weeks)
*. Assault paratroopers skydiving practice: H-A-L-O and H-A-H-O
*. 11 normal skydiving exercises, 15 in full gear, 2 in
nighttime, 2 mass-tactical strategic diving.

*. Language and customs of destination country (4 weeks)
*. Sneaking technique
*. Improved flammable operation
*. Utilizing hi-tech arms
*. Communication (16 weeks)

All recruits who pass this test are not automatically accepted into the establishment, they are instead voted in by a council who oversaw the training exercises and will give detailed reports on the results of each recruit.

Forze Di Mercenary Della Generazione Seguente / Next Generation Special Mercenary Force will accept any mission for a price for when a recruit takes the Binding Oath they renounce their past belief's and morals and adopt those of the establishment. NOTE: The term "Members, Member" refers to any soldier in the MdI and Forze Di Mercenary Della Generazione Seguente / Next Generation Special Mercenary Force employ. We pay our soldiers as well as provide them with basic necessities. We reserve their exclusivity while they remain at/and/or in the employ of the establishment.

It is beleived that several members of disbanded Auxillery Units may have and will apply to this new recruitment. A comparision of physical attributes and skills trained into our Marine units and those that MDI seeks shows a great deal of overlap.

As such, we have begun developing an action plan, code named Medici to deal with the likely event of any member of Backstab being located.

OOC: I expect a few Alconian renegades wandering the world as mercs to apply to your company. A few should meet your stringint requirements....Of course some are going to stay 'independent' also.

Auxillary Milita Brigade Four

Auxillary Milita Brigade Four is known as the lost brigade in most historical texts. But how did they become lost in the first place? And what is the Auxillary Unit Command of the United Duchies

The United Duchies is quite well known for being one of the few nations in the world with no Army. Instead the Alconian Armed Forces have long been divided into two distinct groups, the Outer Forces and Inner Forces. The Outer Forces are the primary offensive groups of the United Duchies. These outside forces are the Navy and the Marines.

The reason that the United Duchies has only a Navy and Marine Corps is based on both geographical and historical reasons. Geographically, the United Duchies primary territory has been island chains off the western Klatchian Coast. Historically, most warfare for the Duchy of Alcona occured with the Soviet Republic of Hubris over the rich island chain of the Outer Islands.
Considering the geographical and primary needs of the Duchy of Alcona, they perfered spending money on both the Navy and Marines rather than develop any kind of feild army.

The almost two centuries of warfare between 1632 and Unification between Hubris and Alcona developed a rather deeply ingrained warrior culture. Both the Alconian Navy and Marines were developed around advanced technology and broad training to make them an effective tool against the larger Hubarian forces. The Marines developed a culture of 'think on your feet' and 'goal oriented independence' needed to deal with sudden attacks by Hubris.

The Inner Forces of the United Duchies are the Militia. They serve as both as a second line of defense for the United Duchies as well as the primary police force for the nation. The Militia, unlike the Navy and Marines, is a mandatory force. All individuals age 18-52 belong to the Milita unless they are members of either the Navy or Marines. The Milita also developed somewhat into a more 'warrior' culture than many similar milita's did. Although not used in against Hubarian forces, they did tend to discover themselves facing enemy raiding parties and attacks. When living on islands, everywhere can become a front line. In some ways, the Milita developed an even greater independent streak from central authority. Realizing that it may take the Navy and Marines days to deploy for an unexpected attack, the Milita learned to be self sustaining in both material and supplies, against a superior foe.

The Auxillery Units of the United Duchies fall into a crack between these two groups. They are made up of individuals drawn from both groups. Auxillery Units have long had a history of punishment detail within the United Duchies. Individuals within the armed forces who were incorragable in some manner or other and were shipped off to serve in some foreign land.

This is what happened to Auxillery Militia Brigade 4. The Brigade was sent, in a purely financial relationship, to the state of Biotopia in the pacific. Biotopia was destroyed, along with its enemies, in a rather horrific regional destruction and the Bridade vanished with them. It was assumed the Brigade was destroyed with all members killed.

However, members of the Brigade have shown up in conflicts all around the world. Some have become stars in the world of for hire mercenaries, having more professionalism, and native ability than many who take on the life of mercenaries in the world. Some have even been hired by foreign nations to advise on training their special forces. Still, the question remains what happened in the final days of Biotopia. And what happened to the Fourth Auxillery Militia Brigade?

OOC: really I've been using various characters from that brigade into threads as independent Mercs for quite some time. You'll likely will (or have) run into a few over time. And you would be surprised how idiotic most people play mercs on nationstates.
