Well actually, the King of Placeness has. He's decided that everyone who isn't a certain colour must be burned. If they live and have been turned red, they may be allowed to remain in the country. If they're not red enough, they must be burned again until they die.

We're not part of the United Nations, so what, if anything, are you going to do about it? We're not bothered about our economy - the King has enough cash to feed himself, his family, his friends, and his employees and for all of them to live very comfortably. He doesn't give a flying monkey about the public suffering.

Elections are also outlawed, gambling has just been outlawed, speaking without permission to speak (which must be asked for in writing, even if the person can not read or write) results in death, and protests result in explusion from the country by way of being thrown into the ocean with a really heavy rock attached. Anyone who manages to surface has rocks thrown at their head by the Border Patrol, unless they have managed to reach international waters, in which case they are shot.

Update: The King of Placeness has also decided to break the legs of anyone who admits they have stole something. If they don't admit they have stole something, regardless of whether they actually have or haven't stole something, a family member will have their legs broken instead. If they don't have any family members, they will have stones thrown at them for at least 24 hours.

This is a really n00bish way to start something. Might I suggest reading the stickies and then adding more storyline to this. That might actually persuade some people to join and become involved with you.

And considering the fact that when I sign up I can call my country "The Psychotic" something, I don't see what's wrong with this RP.

IC:To the countries that threatened to attack or invade, the King's Army will defeat you. We have several air assault crafts, water assualt crafts, and road assault vehicles. We also have an air-defence system in the form of a bomb shield over the King's Palace. You will only be attacking innocent civilians, and those who are stupid enough to fight outside the bomb shield to protect the King's Palace. Although we condemn the atrocities taking place in Placeness, the Kingdom shall not intervene. The right to rule one's nation in whatever way the ruler sees fit and not be punished for such actions, as long as they don't threaten other nations, which this clearly does not, is a fundmental principal of international respect. We call upon the nations of the universe to find a peaceful method of dealing with this issue, instead of bloody invasions or attacks. We also call upon the people of Placeness to take control of their nation from the brutal dictator which oppresses them. The government's power comes from the people, and the people should take the power away from this institution that they previously gave power. The Farmers will not intervene with the problems of this small developing nation for the time being.

It was a tense moment for Vekal. In an unprecedented move, the President Viktor Sarsetti had invoked an obscure law granting the President access to the media. Amazingly, the topic of this all-so-important broadcast did not leak. Rampant speculation swept through Vekal as to the subject of this media release.

President Sarsetti took the stand, adjusted the microphones, and began speaking. "Vekal has always stood up for itself. After casting off our status as a colony, the people of Vekal were subjected to brutal dictatorship. But did we stand for it? No! Vekal, while a tiny country, does have a large army for its size. The Army consists of about 50,000 active duty soldiers ready for combat and another 50,000 in support positions of some kind. Vekal's navy has many ships, including landing ships (about 50 warships plus support and landing ships). The airforce is in sad shape, with about 2,000 outdated fighters and 500 bombers ready to fly. Vekal is an island. If any of those figures aren’t plausible, I’ll change them.

Also, sorry for my poor roleplaying skills. I am new at this, but if someone would give me advice on how to roleplay I'm sure I could improve.

IC: The King of Placeness doesn't know what terraform means so he got really scared. Whilst he was scared, the citizens took advantage of this by burning him. He is no longer king. However, his loyal supporters (well, more like brainwashed as devout unquestioning religious people seem to be) attacked the citizens by throwing trouts at them. The citizens then proceeded to have a mass funeral for the trouts, which slightly offended a live one who was subsequently returned to the sea, still alive. There's now a state of anarchy, with many citizens having stolen guns from dead (or stupid) supporters of the King. One thing the citizens and the supporters of the King have in common is that they despise rape and rapists, so they're deciding whether to nuke Siesatia.

The King can not give Official Military Statistics because he fled the island before he burned to death. The King's supporters are trying to find the details.

While a nuclear strike, being a feeble and ill advised notion against us in your current technological state is humorous, it would be a sad waste of a nuke. Not only would it take some hundred thousand years for it to reach the destination, but it would impact harmlessly against our shield, or be intercepted by a civilian vessel, who might sell it on the antiques market.

Siesatia, our current technological state is brilliant - sort of. The country has hardly any decent weapons, but has access to more advanced weapons from lots of stupid people outside of the country. The King had told them he'd give them oil. Placeness doesn't have any oil.

Anyway, whilst the citizens are still beating each other up for fun (hand-to-hand combat is far more fun than just pulling a trigger), there's a general consensus that war would be a bit stupid. Anyway, it was the King's idea. I'm just a news reporter.

Small groups are starting to co-operate with each other to form a temporary police force (made up mostly of kung-fu experts) and they intend to start nominations for a new king very soon.

Official statement from the supreme ruler: based on your state of anarchy we see no problem invading and using your lands for other purposes. expect an official declaration of war as soon as we have taken over your small nation.

Mondoth will not condone, and in fact will actively and vigorously counter ANY attempt to destroy or invade the nation of Placeness in any way. The people are not to blame for the crimes of the king. Mondoth will support any move to overthrow the Government of placeness without harming citizens that have not participated in his crimes. We would perform this action ourselves but recent events have decapitated our intelligence agency and we are unable to verify the location of the King and his associates.

The goverment is gone, and anarchy they have. All we wish to do is establish a goverment of our own where theres use to be. protecting these people won't help them. moving in and saying "i am now here to help decide things for you will." look at them. they have anarchy for a few days and already they have forgoten the use of guns or even heavy things to hit each other with. The United Empire of Colerica is greatly amused...to the extent that some advisors and representatives on the Imperial Court have fallen out of their seats during session to roll about on the floor in sudden fits of laughter. One elderly representative from Raxus had to be hospitalized. At any rate, the United Empire is pleased to see that this tin-pot dictator has been removed from power, but we are upset to see that a state of anarchy has consumed the nation. Mondoth will support any neutral party attempting to form an interim Placeness Government until such time as the people of Placeness are fit to form their own government. In the meantime the Fast Reaction force will maintain station until further notice.

No_State_At_All offers its emergency riot suppresion police unit to any placenessian faction requiring help to maintain order. we will not take sides in any internal disputes however.
