History:
Naked-Teenage-Girls has gone through several reinventions. The nation was established in 1969 by pot smoking hippies who thought it would be cool to have a nation where people go around naked. In the same year they overthrew the Mexicans from Baja and established the Hippie Republic of Naked Teenage Girls where nudity was mandated by law and pot smoking and use of other drugs was legal even in public and without a doctor's prescription. NTG was originally a multiparty democracy. In 1974, the nation split over the issue of whether nudity should remain mandatory. One group wanted to force women to wear clothes on penalty of death. The other side proposed reforms that would make nudity consensual rather than mandatory. At the end of the year, fighting erupted between the two sides, known as the nudists and the clothists. The following year, claiming a threat to its national interests, forces from Whittier, numbering 50,000 invaded Naked Teenage Girls in support of the clothists. The clothists, in appreciation for the support they were getting from Whittier, created a Socialist Party for Naked-Teenage-Girls. In response to the Whittier deployment, the United States of the South Pacific also deployed 50,000 troops to support the nudists. During the war, many atrocities were committed by both sides. Whittier backed clothists bombed long lines of refugees and were accused of engaging in the torture of innocent women and children. Many a child was forced to take up arms to support what had become the socialist cause. The USSP, meantime, repeatedly bombed civilian areas on accident. In response to the Whittier bombing of a civilian population center in 1981, the South Pacific used the WMD chemical weapon, Napalm against Whittier and clothist military forces and on villages and towns known to be supporters of the socialist/clothist cause. It was the first use of WMD's in the war. The most infamous scene to depict the horrors of civil war was made when a naked 13 year old child was scene running through the streets of Baygone screaming in agonizing pain as the burning gasoline from a South Pacific napalm bomb ate through her flesh burning her alive. Whittier forces often rounded up people suspected of being South Pacific collaberators and executed them in mass without allowing them to have fair trails by jury. Back in the South Pacific, anti-war sentiment began to mount pressure on the government to withdraw. Unknown at the time, many of the protest leaders were on the payroll of the Whittier Socialist Party.
In 1985, the President of the South Pacific announced to the world, that he was withdrawing SP troops out of NTG. By this time, the war had lasted almost 11 years and had cost each side 5 million lives, not to mention the tens of millions of civilians who were killed in the conflict. There was an attempt to negotiate the withdrawal and to negotiate the departure of the nudists and their families which the clothists rejected outright, insisting that the nudists must all be executed for crimes against humanity and for supporting public nudity. This conflict had occurred before there were any international organizations for human rights or conventions on war so that when the atrocities happened, the whole world just turned its back and looked the other way. Some nations actually assisted Whittier and the South Pacific in committing the atrocities and even sent in troops to help them kill enemy troops and defenseless civilians.
The USSP, dispatched a company of fighter copters to cover compound of the SP embassy in the capital as clothists entered the city shooting everyone they saw including infants. After the South Pacific diplomatic staff and South Pacific citizens, they also evacuated the former NTG government, and about 9,500 NTG civilian while under heavy anti-aircraft and AK 47 fire. During the evacuation, 2 South Pacific helicopters were shot down by Whittier backed clothist forces killing all on board. Unfortunately, they were not able to evacuate everyone and the nudists who were not able to leave were seized by the clothists, tortured on public television then executed for crimes against humanity. The main charge being that of supporting public nudity. Whole families were declared guilty of crimes against the state and slaughtered. Their bodies were placed in mass graves though the government, even to this day, denies it.
The New NTG government adopted socialism and signed an alliance agreeing to be a satellite nation under Whittier's influence.A few months later NTG became one of the founding members of the Whittier Pact. It was also the second nation, after Whittier, to sign the Whittier Convention on War and POW's in 2002.
In 1988, the government permantly banned the nation from engaging in war. The law was the result of the serious atrocities and excesses of the NTG civil war which saw atrocities not only NTG factions but also by foreign interventionist governments. Though NTG has no military as per domestic law, the nation is host to some 50,000 Whittier ground forces and 5 Whittier air bases and 3 Whittier naval bases. It also host to one Whittier Strategic Nuclear ICBM Base.
A crises erupted in 1994 when the issue of the nation's currency and national animal came under debate with some lawmakers proposing that they be changed. A vote was taken and it was determined they would remain the virgin and the woman respectively. The referendum had resolved the conflict for the time being.
NTG is a nation that does not have any crime. And, by law as it was in the nation's begining, even today, only young women can hold political office. Men are still barred from government positions but debate is ongoing on changing that.
In 1998, the founding premiere of the socialist government, Helen Milk, died of cancer. The parliament chose Elena Winthorpe as her replacement. The premiere has control of domestic policy while the President is in charge of foreign policy but must consult with the Premiere.
