Diplomatic negotiations at Waterhelper

Waterhelper

In the Government building in the capital a room was made ready and the diplomats wated the arrival of the two warring parties.

After a period, a much larger ship of Theao than was seen at the battle appeared in the Waterhelper star system, and transmitted the message asking for landing co-ordinates as well as planetary conditions(atmospheric, temperature, tectonic ect.).

ooc: posted in other thread, before I saw this one.
Also may be gone for a while(dinner)

There was only one ship suitable to this meeting, brand new, powerful, and the largest ship in the Terran Fleet. The Unforgiven. Metal Militia III. 10 miles long, bearing a deadly mix of Terran and Protoss technologies, with the power to take on many ISDs at once, and win. It entered the system without any flashiness, as the Protoss were prone to do.

Transmission to the Planet:

We are here at the orders of Emperor Arcturus I, where are we to land our transport for this meeting?
Waterhelper

"ummm...." the constroler stammers "Here" he transmits the cordinates.
"In responce to the two big ships the system defence commitee sent all fighters/ capital ships just incase they turned hostle even though it would only slow them down in the event.

A small Protoss Shuttle detached itself from The Unforgiven, and sped towards the planet, it only had 3 passengers, Zeratul, Prelate of the Dark Templar, Iron Mike, commander of the entire ACS, and Aldaris, High Templar of the Protoss, they would make their truce with those from Waterhelper.

The ship travelled toward the planet, and as it was challenged by the craft, it transmitted a message.

We are here at request of the captain of the AquaIII for a diplomatic conference. We will only open fire if attacked first. Also we request permission to take up orbit around your planet.

on all channels
permission is always granted to traders or people with diplomatic negotiations of any type. All we want is a battle free zone withing 5 light years which will be out territory.

On the ground: a full millatary contigent in dress uniform stands at attention waiting the arival of the diplomats.

The three Diplomats departed the shuttle. Iron Nike was a squat juggernaut, short, but heavily muscled, and extremely menacing ensconced in his rather unique armor... Shaped like some kind of Daemon, it was a deep green, and was covered in swirling patterns, similar to those seen in Celtic art. Zeratul was a Dark Templar, tall, swathed in rags and light cybernetic armor, and imposing, somehow his eyes seemed to swirl with a dark illumination, even though such a thing was logically imposible. Aldaris was the largest, of the three, covered in the cybernetic enhancement armor of the Protoss Templar castes, he was a sight to behold, and his eyes swirled with a blue light that was so bright it seemed almost white at the center.

Four Bengal shuttles lunched from the ship that had taken up a polar orbit around the Waterhelper world. Streaking in at an angle that was much more reminicent of a meteor on an impact course than anyone's idea of a shuttle's entry.

Pulling up shortly, the four Bengals landed on the tarmac of the space port and waited for the TDoMM representatives to leave, or at least clear a space.

"It appears you do not like TDoMM that much so... we have prepaired another spot on the other side. We are sending you the cordinates now."
Theao

It is not so much that we dislike the peoples of the TDoMM, but more in the nature of since we recently did battle with their warships, it necessitates a certain amount of caution. Should you wish thought, we shall travel to your other spaceport, thought depending upon where the conference is being held, this may be an inefficiant activity for both of us. s

The Miehmish delegates followed after the Guide had been given. "When might we meet with your leaders? Two of us are here to meet with the Theaoans, while Michael will speak with someone on the possibilty of an alliance and the establishment of an embassy."

"It is not inefficient the building i a square and has a docking facility on each side. You have already been cleared to land. our guide is waiting and the conference room is prepared. If these take longer we have readied quarters for both parties, so just come and land the quicker the better we don't like having war so close to our system."

On the ground:
"The conference room is in here." she points to a large room with a circular desk and four guards just in case. "If you want to have official diplomatic relations opened follow me the king and council are in charge of this." she continues down a glass walkway symbolizing the recent peace and openness of the ruling oligarchy. the walkway end at a door with state of the art security and automate defence systems.

The two Protoss entered the room, took their seats, and waited for the weak willed Theaoans.

Mike followed the guide to wherever the meeting would take place.

Thank you for that information.

The shuttles lifted off and traveled to the alternate landing pad.
From the shuttles, two sets of twins, one set male, the other female disembarked, as well as another man and woman.

The Miehmish diplomats sat silently, awaiting the beginning of the relevant portion of the talks. The Theaoans were faced with very alien visages, even from Mike. Faceted armor hid any indication of the face within the armor, the hologram of a snarling Black Panther head overlaying the helmet didn't help mush either... The two Protoss were almost worse, lacking the muscles for most human facial expressions, they seemed almost as statues.

"I don't have a problem with any of that." Cassius replied, "Thought we would like an apology from the Terran Dominion for their attack on our vessels."

"No." The Protoss were rather succinct about it.

Mike was even less subtle, if that was possible. He simply activated a hologram on his helmet of a very old, and universally recognised gesture. It was also a generally crude gesture in most cultures...
Theao
27-01-2006, 02:45

"We feel no need to apologize to our lessers. Making an "apology" to those that are not oiur equals would be a slur upon our honor."

"I just don't like 'em, they's arrogant, and they think they's better'n us."

Perhaps if you understood each other better there would be less hostilities." he points to them "Look you have been hostile for so long you forget why you fight. Its like you just kill for the sake of killing. You both are near the same level of technology. If you want to fight you will draw more nations into the fray. These nations will be pawns and will be destroyed and be devastated, assimilated into your nations. If you could trust each other then possibly the hostilities will end and you can gain more prosperity then in a time of war. War is a bad thing even if new technology comes the cost of a galactic war will be great. You will be criticized by larger more powerful empires and may end up losing more then you possibly imagine." he then allows them time to respond with no intention of fillibusting

"So in essence you caused this war, not them as you suggest because of your belief in horor through serving your god."

"Khas was no God, and the Khala is not a religion, so much as a way of life. The Dark Templar lack honor as well, and they are still Protoss. The point is that your thoughts are petty, and do not serve the Greater Good. Since you cannot truly serve the Greater Good without the Khala, and the Greater Good is the way of honor, you have no honor. It is truly quite simple."

ooc: They are unreadable, thought not for the reasons you believe.

OOC: These are Protoss Templar. Unless you use your anti-psy wank, there is no protection, short of being a more powerful Psyker. The only ones that qualify for that are the Tzeentch, and the various Eldar. If they are still unreadable, then they have no minds.

"I repeat. If you have something to say, say it out loud. Something about you prventsdirect mind reading, but we can still tell when a transmission, mind to mind, is occuring. Now. Whatever you have to say. Say it." He finally injected some menace into his voice. Whatever they were thinking amongstthemselves, he did not trust them...

OOC: Tell that to a Protoss Reaver, Robot Interceptor, Dragoon, or any of their spacecraft. ALL are mechanical, and are powered, or controlled by Psionics, Reavers are actually sentint Psionic machines. Don't tell me Psionics doesn't work on machines.

IC:

"We do not TRY, we simply DO. For us not picking up on surface thoughts would be like YOU not hearing a conversation right next to you. It can become quite maddening in all honesty. Now, as for our systems, they are ours, and we have no reason to move any of our colonies."

OOC: There is no way to support a Navy, Ships, and all that having ships implies without a way to gain resources. Without resources, you cannot make spare parts. Without spare parts, your ships will simply fall apart on you, in a reasonably short time, since wear and tear applies to everyone. No matter WHAT you use, there is no way to get around the need for planets.
