The No_State_At_All department of war is today releasing the details of several new development projects to be undertaken as part of our plan to make sure our armed forces are prepared for any conflict they may become involved in in the near future. These include, but are not limited to:

NFT:

Project Hawk (canceled): on begining of project, it has been decided to carry out an update on the brimstone's guidance system, and so a new model to replace it is now un-necessary.

Project Eagle (Released): The development of a new "intelligent" medium to long range air to air missile to replace the several different and slightly out-of-date air to air missile already in service, provide a better rounds fired/kills ratio, and require less pilot interaction while the missile is in-flight to improve survivability of launch platforms.

Project hunter (Released): The development of a multi-purpose, multiple-launch platform system of missiles for infantry, land vehicle, fixed base, and sea-launch.

Project Spy-Eye (Released): The development of a low-detectability high-altitude long-range aircraft to carry out tactical reconissance and intelligence missions over hostile territory.

Project Hammer (canceled): To decide whether the use of super-dreadnought-class warships is viable, and if the decision is yes, to design and implement a line of 4 such craft.
(read the thread for why...)

MT:
Project Waverider (Prototype under construction): (The result of this project is in use in my NFT fleet) The development of a light combat hydrofoil to complement the new Temeraire class heavy hydrofoils just entering service (also still in use in my NFT fleet).
Project Centauri (released): the development of a new class of missile based destroyers toIn Progress fight alongside and eventually replace our conventionally armed destroyers (i have plans for the spectacular failure of this design later on...)

Outside entities (companies, nations, etc) wishing to involved in any of these programs will recieve joint rights to the end result of the program in question.
we are willing to involve nations with little or no technical expertise in appropriate fields in these programs, but only if our government agrees to it.

please, post here if you're interested, i'll start other threads for each of the development programs as i get round to it...

any particular projects you'd like to be involved in?
and we already have development facilities available in our own country which have been allocated. but we would like to thank you for your offer (ooc: yeah, i play this nation as fairly high-tech, and easily capable of these projects, although it will put several civilian projects on hold.

Baltimore Shipyards is interested in participating in Project Centauri. We will fly out a team of engineers to help design the warship, and will provide $10,000,000.00 to help the project along. We would like a production license for the finished product, if possible. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Admiral Thad Cochrane (ret.), CEO of Baltimore Shipyards

From: Jonathon Lord Nordheim, head of NSAA military research
To:Admiral Thad Cochrane (ret.), C/O Baltimore Shipyards, The Beltway.

Thank you for your kind assistance in this project, and you may certainly have a production licence for the design. for this project, you may have full title to the design as long as you sign an agreement whereby NSAA may produce as many of these craft as we wish.

OOC: my internet seems to be working properly again, and the NS mods have solved my problem with logging into jolt, thus i shall be starting development tomorrow. one linky shaltbe with you soon.

Mondoth Arms, in assosciation with Shrak Aeronautics would like to participate i Project Eagle, our current Peregrine type AMRAAM has become eclipsed by modern technologies and the development of a replacement is needed to keep up with the technological curve.

The Aerial Survey and Mappong Co. would like to participate in Project Spy-Eye, the recent destruction of our Sattelite intelligence assets has opened a gap in our intelligence networks that needs to be filled while our Sattelite network is being rebuilt.

The Shipyards at Wuller and Farthing have extensive experience that would be useful for Project Hammer, they have built two alternative SD designs and have state of the art facilities for the construction of such ships that negates the expenses and complications necesary for the normal construction of Super Dreadnaughts.
