Official message from the President of Finland
From this day onwards, The Republic of Finland has stepped to state of war against the Russian federation. The 1st-14th corps of the Finnish army have been mobilized and the 1st and 2nd naval corps have started their assault on the western border of Russia with the total of 840,000 soldiers and more being mobilized. Finland wants our old areas back, and she shall have them back no matter what. Russia has made it's last mistake
===
Three Panavia Tornados flew throught the skies, still in Finnish air space, but swiftly flew across the border and passed into Russian airspace.
"Snoring Queen, Snoring Queen, this is Tornado-1. We are on charlie area. Target ETA 10 minutes"
"Tornado-1, this is Snoring Queen. You have green light"
"Roger, Snoring Queen, over"
The fighter-bombers flew down as low as they could, barely flying over the trees and were headed towards St. Petersburg
((I'll try to make a map to clear some things like the corps' positions and attack places to you. It should be up tomorrow or the day after at latest))
In a hidden PVO bunker somethere near St.Petersburg
A room field with blazing computer monitors was cool. The commander of the PVO bunker was walking around making sure that his subordinates do their work. Suddenly the big monitor on the right wall of the room which was showing the aerial map of the St.Petersburg Okrug blinked red. Several red dots appeared on it which indicated the enemy, they were moving towards the city. Polkovnik Orlov, commander of this bunker, took out his radio which linked him to the loudspeaker.
"Poz. XII target the enemy, Poz. II grant Mstiteli IV permission to fire. Poz IX order VVS to send in interceptors."
Several seconds went by, one of the operators seating behind his monitor spoke into his microphone.
"This is Poz. XII. Targets are locked on, data transfered to Sova I."
Just a second later another operator started speaking.
"This is Poz. II. Order issued, we have confirmation, the missiles are in the air."
"This is Poz. IX order issued."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The wind roared as 6 P.746.A Surface to Air missiles left their mobile launch posts and towards the enemy guided with percision by a Information Link that transfered enemy position information from the ground radar to the satelite and to the missile computer.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
A squadron of 12 Mish-11 Arhangel air supermacy fighters took off from the Radanovo I airfield.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back in the bunker the President and the chiefs of the army were deciding what to do.
President: What would be your recommendations, i think we should start with VVS.
Marshall of VVS: We have dispatched a squadron of 12 aircraft to defeat 3 that flew over from Finland. It is most probable that the enemy aircraft will be shot down by the surface to air missiles before the defense squadron reaches them. I suggest we use those planes to precision hit enemy mobile command position, that will set their advance back. All those planes carry light air to ground ammunition.
President: What about our ground?
Marshall of VNS: No problems where, as i already said, getting thousands of troops to our land from Finland by ground would take them months, the mostly likely way they would try it is by air and an order has already been issued to shoot down anything that flies over that border. Either way, we have almost 2 million professional troops within a days range of the area, taking care of Finnish forces will not be a problem, we have already issued mobilization orders sufficient to decimate any sort of advance from Finland.
President: Alright, this is all good, now, i want to stop this insanity until it escalates any further. I order Operation Zmeinaia Golova to become active effective emmidiately. Aside from that, i order additional mobilization, i want to see 6 armies in the area before the end of next week. We will smash the Finns and making them regret for ever setting foot on our soil. You know what to do comrades.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
A BrahMos cruise missile modified with a VRPB uplink has taken off from a hidden silo somethere near St.Petersburg and flew towards Helsinki. Its target, the location of the Finnish President that was tracked through satelite surveillance.

Message from the Russian Federation
We once again urge you to reconsider. That land is not yours simply because you wish it to be so. This land only was ever a part of Finland because of the military actions by Germany in the first World War. In WWII Russia has reclaimed the land that it had a right to, you are doing the opposite. Think of your people, our patience has boundaries and you stand no chance. If you continue we will invade your nation and remove you from your post.
OOC: Hey, just a reminder, mind the landscape, you can't move 840 troops through swamps, lakes and forests on the Finnish border you will have to use air, and then you will have to mind the casualties.
Message from Foreign Minister Kenny Williams

We condemn this attack on the Russian Federation. Israel pledges moral support for the Russians in this conflict and is warning Finland to stop this imperialistic war against a sovereign nation.
Israel would like to extend to Russia as a token of our good will some ships from the Israeli Naval Reserve. The ships are 25 Arleigh Burke flight IIA DDGs, 12 Ticonderoga (non-VLS) CGs, 6 Los Angeles class (flight II) SSNs, and 2 Charles de Gaulle class CVNs. We hope these ships will help you in your war effort.
We also have some Arrow II SAM systems we would like to transport to Russia. We offer these free to help defend Russian citizens from an unjust attack.
"As we stated before, we will stand on side of Finland. We will interfere to this confilct only if it is will of Finnish government. The Karelia and Petsamo belong to Finland, as it were in times of czar (OOC: They truly were part of Finland, I know it, I have studied it in school as finlander myself), and also sometimes under Swedish rule, first after peace of Pähkinäsaari 1323. We condemn actions of Israel in support of Russian Federation, who are holding land captured by evil dicator Josif Stalin."
Regards,
Dictator Adolf Krieger

Germany, do not think about supporting this evil act on the part of Finland. Should Israel decide to go to war to support the Russians, we will have to attack you if you support Finland. Remember, the Israeli electorate will be fine with the idea of attacking Germany. Keep that in mind before your nation does something it regrets.

Germany, do not dare aid Finland unless you wish to feel the full power of the Empire stepping with its iron foot on you. If you mobilize we will bring our military might crashing right on you. Make a bad step and our armed forces will come knocking on your door. This is our first, last, and final warning to you.

The red lights on each Tornado started to blink wildly.
"Snoring Queen, Snoring Queen, this is Tornado-1. We've picked up some hobos"
"Roger that, Snoring Queen"
"Squad, let's make the hobos drop"
The planes made a sharp turn and ran from the missiles. They could already see the missiles when they flew over Viborg and so low that they had to be careful not to hit the buildings. Tornado-3 dropped into the town square when the missile reached it but the other two continued, dropping only partly their bombs before they dropped from the skies in two burning wreckages just outside the city

Things started happening inside Finland, and the cruise missile of the Russians did not help, either. Trains were canceled because of military transportations from Turku, Tampere and Oulu all the way to the border where the infantry and the mobile divisions were unloaded. The people of Helsinki were being evacuated into bomb shelters, the government hoping the old bunkers would be enought to keep the people safe for now.
===
The president walked inside a long hallway of a bunker right below the city train station. If someone had followed him, they would have lost him in a church near the city outskirts. is secreatry was quickly following him and four soldiers walked infront of them and another four behind them. "I trust my train is ready" he said and the secretary nodded. "It's ready to take you into your bunker. The generals are already there and Operation Valkoinen Surma has been started in Lapland"
"Great. Do you have the current location of the cruise missile?"
"Yes, sir. ETA 2 minutes"
"Hmm... We must go deeper when it drops"
"Yes, sir"
The cruise missile finally reached the city of Helsinki, the warning bells ringing all over the city. Silence fell when the missile finally struck, and the Finnish people fellsilent when the explosion shook the foundations of the city and dust and rubble fell from the nearest bombing shelters. The shelters had obviously not been built for cruise missiles. The dust was heaviest in the bunker where the president was. The soldiers and the presidential secretary crawled around as the bunker had been shaking violently during the explosion. The president was lying on the ground, motionless. The secretary crawled over to the president and checked his pulse in complete shock. "He's alive, but only barely" she said and the soldiers rushed over to the two.
"I'll go and check the perimeter. Try to keep him alive" a lieutant said and walked up the stiarway and towards ground level, where a shock was waiting. Half of the train station was gone, including the presidential train. This did not look good for the president's survival
===
A group of white-dressed soldiers breached the border up in Lapland and moved towards petsamo on skis while the armoured divisions moved towards the border slowly and about 30 minutes of travel behind them
OOC: So are you going to respond to the cruise missile attack? I am still tracking you via satelite positioning system. Also moving 840000 men over the Finnish border quickly is not going to happen, the terrain is too swamp and lake infested, thats the only reason why it took the Soviets so long to take Finland out and the only reason that they didn't quickly take all of it. Also you can't just run from a missile, thats not how it works. I am going to wait for you to edit your post.

OOC: Blah, blah. That's the Russian side of the story. There is not that much lakes and swamp right on the border. The lakes are way more inland and the swamps are only partial. And it's winter, remember. The water in those lakes and swamp will be frozen or at least partially frozen. You can't just go around saying that it's winter and the Finnish people are freezing because you cut our gas and then expect that the Finnish troops will be waist-high in swamp that just hasn't happened to freeze over

OOC: Its not the Russian side, its the only side. We attacked in February, we were supposed to win in 12 days just like we did in eastern Belorussia and Ukraine that same year, Fins didn't have anything, your government had to borrow warm clothes from private stores to field its army with the only real piece of uniform was the belt. You had only 200000 artillery rounds, thats less then USSR fired upon the second Finnish division in the first 6 hours of the war. What happened was that in February there is usually light snow, and the rivers are frozen up both of those would make it easy for SU to transport troops and logistics so we went in. What happened was not what usually happened, for some reason that year temperatures were above zero most of the time and it snowed for the first two weeks, snow melted, everything was flooded Finland was not taken as a whole. Also where is your response to the freezing Finns? And the spear head of your attack is a bunch of men on skies? Alright, you're making this too easy for me.

Polkovnik Griboiedov was seating behind a computer screen inside his SOV-6MKP mobile command post. Griboiedov was a middle-aged man who has began his service in the A/R voyska (Artillery/Rocketry) some 27 years ago. And in 27 years he never seen such an easy opportunity to earn a medal as he did now looking at the dots on his VRPB model that were representing enemy light infantry trying to make its way towards the Russian armored divisions on skies. Griboiedov's 2nd A/R division belonged to the 12th regular army and was stationed in the rear. Since the attack was initiated by the side of Finland, Griboiedov had a lot of freedom on how to carry out his orders of protecting the motherland. Without waiting for any sort of a command from up top he pressed a speed dial button on his satelite phone and spoke to his second in command.
Griboiedov: I want precision strikes on moving enemy targets, you have permission to use all available weaponry, you are also to contact the R/C-R division and tell them to fly some extra UAVs over to there we'll be shooting, i don't want to have one kill unconfimred. You got your orders.
He hung up the phone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 12th armie's 2nd A/R division started firing in full force, all other A/R divisions followed the example soon, everybody wanted to get a medal and a pat on the back from the Marshall out of this. All along the front of the Finnish advance air was bursting with fire, ammunitions used were for most part were gravitation guided artillery shells and guided rockets. The pillars of smoke rose up high, death was having a fieldday.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
3 carrier battlegroups stationed in the ports of St. Petersburg and nearby it were dispatched to greet the Finnish naval landing force. Parts of 5th submarine fleet were equally destributed amongst the battlegroups for protection.
While they were moving somethere on the other side of the continent in Nordvik Admiral Parahodov pressed a button and then operators spread around in bunkers all over the nation started pressing buttons, each button pressed released a mine that was attached to the sea floor, the mines were released so then they reached the surface an enemy ship was right above them, this was the first time this system was used but the estimated initial damage was tested to be disasturous to the invaders.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back in the bunker the presidential bunker the chess board was set. The Russian forces were to artillery shell the enemy advance, without allow the enemy artillery to move into position to return fire, they were to also attack any incoming force until the Finnish forces were weakened enough, after which the Russian forces which should by the time of counter attack consist of a total of 14 armies and 6 Gvardias as well as foreign troops, that force will go across the border to Finland with an objective of capturing Helinki and putting an end to this madness.

My artillery division composition is like this:
For both regular army:

There is also 2 Gvardias or my elite army size forces in the area. The A/R division for them is like this:
Guards A/R Division:

men: 1600
155mm Incinérateur Rapid Firing Artillery Gun: 180
Corbulo Self-Propelled 155mm Field Gun: 120

OOC: You seem to have the idea that Helsinki is the capital. I mentioned in the 'Presidential meeting' thread that President Kallioniemi had changed the capitol to Turku late in his first term, possibly because of his plan to start a war with Russia.
IC: The missile attack on Helsinki was too much for the people. A serious unrest started in Tampere, Helsinki, Rovaniemi, Oulu and Turku. About 50-70 people in each town started riots in the cities, forcing the Finnish government to pronounce martial law and place the vice-president with the council of generals in rule while the president was in the medical ward of the main bunker and in critical condition. Of course this info was tightly sealed from the public and the international community.
===
Lapland
The Finnish troops attacking from Lapland were slaughtered indeed. The Russian 12th army was just too much for the small part of the corps that had been sent out as more of a recon of the Russian power. The armoured divisons moved slowly but steadily towards the Russian side of the border, the artillery being set up as soon as they got to the range. The Russians were not the best of the targets, but the artilery still opened fire, trying at least to get some casualties and cover as the rest of the corps moved in
===
Gulf of Finland
The sudden appearance of the sea mines confuse the Finnish fleet and it lost many ships before the navy sent their mine ships to help the fleet get throught. However, this would take weeks, maybe months to clear such an area.
===
Karelia and Salla
The finnish 7th corps moved in to the Salla region and unlike in Lapland, went straight in with the armoured divisions, followed up by APCs transporting the heavily armed jaegers and after the APCs came the lightly armed 'Sweeper' troops that would get rid of the last Russian soldiers that had been left behind as they advanced.
On Karelia, a full-scale bombing started. The 2nd Bomber division, escorted by the 6th Interceptor division, flew fast over the advancing Finnish troops and bombed the Russian bases and stations nearby.
Down below, the 1st corps with the 2nd naval corps had landed right behind the border, going dangerously close to the shore to avoid mines, even if they had lost three ships by sudden mines popping up from the depths. The other corps moved as swiftly as they could throught the frozen swamps and forests, their artillery already blasting from the Finnish side and quite far into the Russian side
===
Casualties
Lapland:
4,000 ski soldiers
5 Leopard Tanks
2 APCs
Gulf of Finland:
1 Destroyer
2 Missile boats
6 Transport ships
Karelia:
3 Transport ships
10 Interceptors
14 Bombers
OOC: I didn't put that much of casualties on Gulf of Finland or Karelia and I didn't put any one Salla, because you haven't responded yet. I would just assume you have somekind of air defence, so we lost planes of curse

Official message to Germany
Dear borthers in arms against the opressive Russia, we invite you to use our territory in you attack against the Russians. We are also in need of oil and natural gas, as Russia has placed and embargo over Finland. So we ask you, to secure a safe route for our vessels to transport oil throught, which would mean that we need a safe route throught the Baltic sea. If you can manage that, our firends, we shall promise that when you need our aid, we will stand and fall side by side with our German brothers.
Vice-President Petteri Kallio
The Republic of Finland
OOC: Aight so your naval forces landed? How? What about the mines that have to be cleared? Also just 5 Leopards? I am firing at you with all i got, there is a smoke pillar rising to the stratosphere, the air is so hot in the area i am bombarding human bodies would turn to ashes in just several seconds. Why did i only get 4000 troops and 5 tanks?
IC:
On the Russian side people started dying. Few artillery shots reached the Russian lines and submunition rounds have right away killed several people before everybody started bracing for cover. Armored Infantry soldiers got into their APCs, regular Infantry started bracing for cover. The Russian side had a clear advantage, it had massive amounts of artillery and rocketry units that were already set up and ready to fire, Finland had to bring them in, set them up and get the round supply process going. Realising that an order was issued by General Kolsky, the commander of all A/R voyska for the Finnish front to dedicate 26% of all the available precision artillery to hit the enemie's fixed and mobile artillery positions. The specifically modified Vena Self-Propelled howitzers were using highly precise, guided NAS-12 artillery shell, that could change its trajectory of up to 74 degrees in mid flight and has control surfaces that allow its computer to fly into the target who's position is being transfered to the round via its own special Information Link. The round came in two variants, one was NAS-12PP which was a submunition round intended to be destroy clusters of enemy infantry, NAS-12PU the direct impact weapon with a highest concentration of explosives, intended to hit fixed enemy positions, and NAS-12PT, anti-tank round designed to hit an armored vehicle into its weakest spot, its top and deliver a massive blast. The rest of the artillery was to mass shell all the targets of opportunity, including enemy tanks and infantry. In just the first 8 hours of shelling it was calculated that 1.9 million artillery shells would be released and 782133 missiles, guided and unguided. The order was carried out immediately.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile Marshall of VNS ordered all the armored ground forces to move. They would meet with the highest concentration of enemy along the front, meanwhile the light infantry would be transported by trucks and lightly armored transport vehicles onto the flanks, with intention of enveloping the enemy. The Gvardias, the ellite forces were at the same time partially paradropped behind the enemy lines, while a majority of them would reinforce both light and armored infantry in their advance. This tactic was meant to surround the enemy and cut him off from his supplies, while he is still being precision shelled and bombed. At the same time the R/C-R electronic warfare divisions were working hard to screw with the radars of the enemy aircraft, all the Russian aircraft were flying without radar, using their VRPB model for navigation and guidance. The whole 8th, 4th and 11th air defense divisions were sent out to intercept enemy aircraft. The fact that Mish-11 Arhangels were in radar silence and the fact that they were stealthy aircraft as well as the fact that enemy radars were screwed with by heavy electronic warfare attacks by Russian R/C-R, allowed the Mish-11s, all 300 plus of them to reach within range of the enemy aircraft withou getting detected. Each aircraft then let out a hypermaneuvarable long range missile that sped towards the enemy aircraft with main targets being the bombers and AWACS.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first bombs fell and the ground rose up, people were screaming in the 12th army, somebody lost a leg, another one an arm, a third one lost the whole lower body and after just a few seconds stopped screaming. The ground PVO battalions responded with ground to surface guided missiles.

OOC: The armored units weren't on the battleground yet. Those were casualties by lucky artillery shots. Now that they are on the battlefield, we'll get some more casualties. So the next step in the war started. The enlistment of everyone that could carry a weapon, including women, even if the generals wouldn't want to use the women out there. However, this 'Women can do what men can'- ideology in the finnish women had caused this and now it would be fulfilled. Equal sexes... both dying on the battlefield

The battle up in Lapland was indeed lost before it even started, even if the 12th corps were coming to aid as fast as they could. The human casualties were high, but the artillery stations that were moving all the time towards Russia's side made some damage too. The Leopard tanks and the Sisu APCs moved as fast as they could over the battlefield, trying to get to the enemy artillery and disable them before it was too late and all hope was lost. Somewhere in the right flank, a group of Finnish soldiers had gotten their mortars up and operational and opened fire on the Russian side and especially where they thought some of the closest artillery was, however their weaponry did not go far enought.
The 12th corps moved fast and their artillery was set up near where the 13th corps had first placed their artillery and their rocket launchers behind of the artillery, the newest M270 MLRS infront of the RM 70s which are side-by-side to the BM-21 Grads. The Leopards and the T-71M1s moving straight across the battlefield, sloly catching up to the 12th corps armoured units and APCs

The ground battle on Karelia was just bloody. Heavy casualties on both sides and a huge number of tanks destroyed. However, some advancement was made, even if not much. A couple of miles in two hours were enought to make the generals happy enought to say that they're making progress

OOC: I got some sort of map(a world map with arrows indicating who is going where, not of the battlefields), but how do I get that from my pc to here?
And secondly there seems to be a problem with the time schedules of different players. Russia and Finland are still at day 2, or maybe 3 of the war, while Italy has already claimed to skip two 'several days' parts.:OOC

I'm assuming you're talking about the arrow going by sea? I didn't know where the places were where he was RP-ing his attempt at landings at your coast, so just picked a random place that looked right for an invasion. Sorry for the troubles...

OOC: Finland has no fleets over at barents sea. It has no coastline there and it would take too much resources to carry it across Finland and then the whole patch of Norway or send it all around Sweden and Norway and up there. It would just be a complete waste of time and money. My map explains the attacks of Finland better. You should look at thembefore making a map of your own about out whole war here.
Edit: The landing happened over at Karelia. I said that quite clearly, didn't I?

The Emperor sat in his seat as he began seeing all the news. As he shifted through the news on his digital computer he came across one that made his mind freeze: Russia was under attack! Immediately he hit the intercom and shouted, "Get me the Harman!"
20 Minutes Later:
Harman sat at the round table across from the Emperor. The Emperor was his cousin but he still had a tad fear of him. But before he could continue the rest of his chain of thoughts the Emperor began speaking,
"Harman, as you know our allies in Russia are under attack. What have you done so far?"
"Well we have sent a condemnation letter saying we will not allow it."
"Well, it doesn't seem that worked did it?" Harman paused for a second.
"No sir, it didn't."
"Who else is in the war?"
"Well, from our sources, German is aiding the Finnish against the Russians. Israel has openly condemned the attack to and has even started bombing Germany in retaliaton to prevent their war machine from developing."
The Emperor sat at the table for a while without muttering a word as a response. He was stuck in a deep thought that plauged him, "Should we join?" The silence endured for a while before Harman gently coughed and started speaking again,
"Sir, in all do respect, I believe we should help our allies. Do you not think so?"
"Of course I think so! I'm just thinking about what I will do once we take over Finland and what stuff I will wear on the day I say, "Mission Accomplished"!"
"Oh, sorry sir."
"Very well, then. I want the Russians to be contacted. Tell them we are sending reinforcements."
"Very well, but who are we sending?"
"I believe we will be sending the 1st Armored Army and the 4th Mechanized Infantry Army. As for air assets and naval, I want the 3rd Air Armada along with the 2nd Naval Armada sent there. Understand?"
"Yes, sir!"
"Then go!"
To: Russia
From: The Empire of Khalistan,
Emperor Harsimran Mann
Subject: War Help
We see that our friends in Russia are being attacked by the greedy pigs in
Finland for land that belongs to you. We believe this act of treachory can not
be left unnoticed, therefore we are sending military aid to help you along with
a deposit of $2 trillion for you to use for immediate help. We are immediately
sending over our 1st Armored Army and our 4th Mechanized Army to assist
you on the ground while our 1st Air Armada will bring support from the air.
Meanwhile, the 2nd Naval Armada will blast them out of the sea. All we will
require in return is some bases to land our stuff and keep them until the end
of the war. May god bless you and may we successfully drive those infidels
out of your great nation.
Signed,
Emperor Harsimran Mann
OOC: The armored units weren't on the battleground yet. Those were casualties by lucky artillery shots. Now that they are on the battlefield, we'll get some more casualties. I would really appreciate if you would take some resistance from the Karelians. There has to be at least 20 people in the whole Karelia that will launch somekind of a Guerilla attack on their part, even if they are using hunting rifles or something
IC:
The vice-president watched a screen showing satellite feed on the Karelian isthmus where the battle was raging the wildest. He shook his head. "Get every single corps left armed and ready. We need more men out there or we won't have a chance"
"Yes, sir"
So the next step in the war started. The enlistment of everyone that could carry a weapon, including women, even if the generals wouldn't want to use the women out there. However, this 'Women can do what men can'- ideology in the finnish women had caused this and now it would be fulfilled. Equal sexes... both dying on the battlefield
===

OOC: Dude if we're going to be exchanging 9000 men casualties this will never be over. With several douzen thousand of artillery and missile batteries firing at you continuously your numbers should be much higher. Also if you didn't notice i have ordered precise targeting of your artillery units, so casualties amongst them should be huge. Also just for the future, as i stated previously my artillery battalions are positioned in the rear with the rest of the force in front for protection so you'd have tough time getting to my artillery and disabling it.
Where are things i need to know. How many tanks you have in total? How many planes you have in total? How many soldiers you have in total? How many ships you have in total? It would be good to know all of that.
Also so are you concentrating all your forces at one break through point now? Okay you lost in Lapland is your 12th corps moving as back up? What composes a corps?
Also don't forget that the rest of your corps are also taking HEAVY casualties do to the fact that they nobody is waiting for them to set up and the precision guided artillery shells are not likely to miss the enemie's artillery batteries.
@Exodians: Hey man can i get a clean copy of that map?

OOC: Once Pushka posts the map with the bases and airfields, I'll type up my RP on entering the war a week later. :) This is going to get quite interesting.
OOC: Another thing, i propose stabilizing the front for now so both of us have time to regroup, stop the attack and start pulling your forces together for antoher one, i'll start regrouping myself. Thats how war usually works, you can't expect your soldiers to never stop attacking for days and weeks at a time. Take a breather. Yeah, you can throw the 12th army back first just be reasonable, no 50% casualty rates. Also i would really like to see what your corps are composed. For info on my units as i said before look at the link in my sig.
IC:
Looking at the decapitation of the Finnish 13th Corps in Lapland and rapid movements by the 12th Corps, all of the 12 Army mechanized divisions backed up with 3rd Gvardia's tank corpus as well as the 12th army 1st, 3rd and 5th infantry divisions, began the counter attack on the enemy positions. Two Army and one Gvardia Infantry Divisions were left behind to protect the artillery incase everything went wrong. The artillery still kept firing in full force, once the Russian troops would get dangerously close to the enemie's 12th corps the artillery would seize firing in mass and the only the precise artillery units would continue, the ones that were using guided shells and guided missiles.
All across the rest of the front things were going steady, the Finns kept coming and the artillery kept raining death on them, in few places broke through, but so far the Gvardia's Pehota and Armie's mechanized divisions were able to respond quickly and throw the adversaries back.
However men were being lost and it became clear to everyone that Russian forces were being outnumbered, if things continued like this eventually the Finns would break through in too many parts of the front and will be able to solidify thier position. Knowing this President Ivanov ordered a radical modification of the unit labeled Finnish Front. A force meant for defence would now be regrouped for an attack. All across Russia millions of men and hundreds of thousands of vehicles started moving. The Finnish Front after it has regrouped would consist of 8th, 12th, 13th, 17th, 19th, 23rd, 24th, 27th, 30th, 33rd, 37th, 38th and 39th Armies as well as the 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Gvardias. The air units assigned to the Front would include 11th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 23rd and 24th air attack divisions; 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 18th, and 19th ground attack divisions; 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th, 11th and 12th bomber divisions; and 7th, 8th, 9th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 23rd, 24th, 25th and 28th paratrooper division. Also this force would be joined by the 4th, 7th, 8th and 9th Rail-Road Armies. The special forces would also include a total of 3400 men from different branches of Spetsnaz. All transporting divisions will be employed to transport this force to the front. The time for seeking peace was over, Mother Russia was going to war against an old enemy, the Scandinavians and in memory of all past victories Motherland had against them, this time it will not loose.
Soldiers were delivered double rations, the supply network was reinforced, it was now a matter of time.
OOC: I post casualties later, these small exchanges we are having do not mean squat to the bigger picture. Better wait and let them accumulate.

IC: The Russians were pulling back and regrouping, which gave the Finns a clearer toute that they only partly used. They regrouped into their original groups again and the mortars and artillery were moved more closer to the frontline. The MLRS however were left behind and would work from there an moving towards the frontline if needed to. The APCs unloaded and the Finns got to dig fox-holes and set up MG-nests, even if all of them were hasty and wouldn't last if the Russians would come throught with all their force.

The 12th corps up in Lapland had to pull back and regroup a couple of miles from the actual battlefield

The mine ships had started their sweeping mission on the Gulf of Finland, the Finnish fleet following them closely and slowly approaching the other side, the Russian side of the Gulf of Finland and if they were lucky, they would land somewhere near St.Petersburg, the mines protecting them from enemy ships.

Message to Germany
Dear German brothers, we have recieved information of a probable enemy fleet trying to pass throught the Baltic sea. However, if we could take the small land of Russia Between Polaqnd and Lithuania, the enemy would have difficulties of finding a port for themselves. Also, we are disappointed for we have not seen any military involvement in this war on Germany's part. we need actions, not words.

64 howitzers
51 MLRS
Gulf of Finland:

OOC: I don't think there'd be much reaction from the Korelian people, right now all the civilian population in the closest urban and rural centers is seating still with weapons and ammo that were handed our to them by ANZ, they're being prepped to start the guerilla war in case your troops break through. Aight about the port, don't forget that i do have 3 carrier battle groups deployed and two more in the ports scattered around my Baltic ports. Now the mine situation should be a bit more treaky. You see i didn't just let all the mines go up, each individual mine has its own trigger and there is a network of sensors, once your ship comes into vacinity of the mine an operator far, far away presses a button and the mechanism that is holding the mine near the buttom of the sea is released and the mine floats up, each mine can also be blown up at will. So how exactly are your mine ships neutralizing my mines?
Also can i see the distribution write up for your corps? Also this small land you mentioned just happens to be the location of St.Petersburg, my second most important city after Moscow, so don't be thinking that there will be any sort of easy gain in that region.
Anyways, i am about to unlish upon you about 4 million men, thats an estimate i'll give you a correct number then i find my calculator.

Tej-Paul leaned back in his chair as he throttled the aircraft. His copilot, James Leerman, watched the screen for any signs of fault. His face was the standard monotone that every Khalistanian Air Force (KAF) wore when he was on a mission. There aircraft, the venerable SuB-1C Block 10 Hurricane Heavy Supersonic Strategic Bomber flew past the runway with a roar of satisfaction. Tej-Paul slowly pulled the controls back as the aircraft shot up into the sky. "What a magnficient beast! These upgrades did the job might well." His copilot didn't say anything, he just stared at the screen. "Whatever," murmured Tej-Paul. He slowly leveled the aircraft as it picked up speed and finally broke the sound barrier. Tej-Paul silently moved his hand to his screen and touched it. Immediately a voice rang over the intercom. It was a mono, metallic, feminist voice saying, "Autopilot engaged." Tej-Paul released the control as the plane steered itself. He pulled his feet up and settled them on the dashboard while he tucked his hands behind his head and silently drifted into sleep.
30 Minutes Later:
An abrupt sound shattered Tej-Pauls sleep as he jolted back to day. He scanned the area and saw nothing. James wasn't doing anything other than staring out the window. "Man, that guy act's like he's a mime." Suddenly, a red screen shot-up on his screen. Tej leaned forward to get a good look at it. He sighed as he knew exactly what it meant. He pulled his chair forward and got into position. He turned his head and for the first time noticed the other two guys, Karan Johnson, the electronics officer, and Jesper Singh, the electronics officer. They had earphones on to muffle sounds so they wouldn't hear if he talked. He switched on the comlink as he spoke into it, "alright guys, were here. Now don't get stupid. Just hit them in the coordinates alright!"
Nothing came as silence answered him back. He shrugged and turned off the com and went back to flying the aircraft. In the sky, there was over thousands of planes making there way over neutral lands. They were going to one destination: Finland. Tej had heard about how the Finnish had been trying to invade the Russians, an Khalistanian ally. That was their first, last, and biggest mistake. So the high command, well only the Emperor, ordered that the KAF, one of the best trained in the world and fielding one of the largest bomber forces, attack and burn the Finnish capital of Turku to the ground. They had about 288 SuB-1C Block 10 Hurricanes coming straight to them with 4 SuF/A-6 Wraiths guarding one bomber each. Both aircrafts were fresh off the line, with the SuB-1C's coming from the upgrade factory that had tripled their payload and made them far more deadly, while the SuF/A-6 Wraith had just started coming off the production line earlier five years before.
Suddenly, a map came up. It had all the friendly aircrafts scattered on it along with a meter. It was showing how far the aircrafts were from the capital. They were coming in fast at Mach 1.6. As they got closer, Jesper began setting up the launch setting. Finally they past the 5,500 km mark and were within range. Tej just muttered, "Smeer them" and Jesper pressed the button. Outside, the bomb bays of the aircraft opened up and out shot AGM-518A Triton Long Range Air-Launched Ballistic Missile. While the bomb bays shitted them out, the ones attached to the wings seperated in a hiss and fell below. With loud roars, each one ignited their motors and screamed into the sky. 20 of these monsters came out of each SuB-1C, coming at a total of 5,760 missiles. They shot up into the upper atmosphere were they glided, safetly from an ABM shields seeing as their altitudes, though high, were not high enough to be hit by ABM shields or even detected by them. Finally when they reached their peaks, they seperated from the booster and went into a straight glide as they went for their targets: SAM and airfield sites. They would deliver 1,500 kgs of explosives each. By the time this first attack would be done, the capital would be no more along with any airfields and SAM sites.
We will send our stormtroopers immediately to area you have requested. We will also use some air forces against enemy navy.
