OOC: This is not an attack on Antanjyl itself. I'm merely attacking a small designated, christian town. This gives the Maldaathi army in the region supplies while it clears Antanjyl of Christians. Ant you roleplay the resisting insurgents.

*^*The Battle of Eth*^*

Overview: The Maldathian Motorized Infantry brigade scoped out the small town ahead. It was a rather decent size for a town, which was built in a faint medieval style with large spires that many in the brigade presumed to be their 'churches'. The large Maldaathi camp was only a few kilometres from Eth which was enough to launch an unsuspecting raid on the town,
which they were told, had been armed by Christian Sympathizers.

Maldaathi HQ: The Maldathian Headquarters is locted 7 kilometres east of Eth. The comparitively small (Compared to other Maldaathi Bases) Head Quarters will serve as a staging area for all orders from commanders as well as all logistic orders and deliveries needed in the upcoming battle.

Logistics: The Logistics for the 37th Motorized Brigade consists of some 2000 personel using 50 V-8 1 Tonne Trucks as well as 30 V-8 Fuel Trucks to fuel all of the motorized aspects. The estimated time the 37th Brigade can survive a seige on this ammount of supplies alone is 13 days.

Objectives: The objectives of the 37th is to attack and shell the town of Eth before moving in and dealing with any resisting members of the community. After the resistance is quelled the Hummers move in and load up all civilians before transporting liberated members of Eth to a nearby Military Installation where they will be reformed into future members of the communist army who are then to be used to repel a predicted invasion of Antanjyl by Scandavian States.

*ALERT armed resistance to Maldathian presence and therefore baiting them out of their shelter.
*ARTILLERY Shell the town with 2A65 (M1987) 152-mm Towed Gun-Howitzer. Decimating all Ethian Strongholds.
*ATTACK the town with tanks and infantry.
*EVACUATE and REFORM civilians at Maldathian Chievlobynsk.

0700 Hours, Town of Eth

It was a quiet morning in the small town, and though the church bells weren't ringing, the citizens quietly left their homes and went to church. They were dressed in rags and some did not even have shoes despite the weather, which was bitingly cold. Though still they made their way to the numerous churches of the town, perhaps to pray to the god which had forsaken them to Antanjyl, a country from which they were unable to currently leave. Messengers had spoken of the town of Averia being destroyed by Antanjyl's agency some time ago, but after that the Christian attacks had stopped. Perhaps their prayers had been answered? With the foreign base from Maldaathi, perhaps Antanjyl had hidden its fangs, granting them some solace?

They were about to find out just how wrong that way of thinking would be...

Base of Opperation: We have information that its in one of the churches. There is also reported to be one under the city hall and perhaps one in the elementary school. You are authorised to do with this town as you wish, as long as the terrorist element is uprooted and destroyed.

0730 Hours, Town of Eth

Overview: The final preparations were complete and the 100 soldiers selected as Shock Troopers were now eyeing the town while remember the planned co-ordinated attack on the town before retreating and the guise of retreating, thus luring the townspeople into a false security and with the hopeful celebration in the town square. Thirty minutes after the 'fake defeat' artillery will begin to shell the small town. The operation was due to begin.... now.

Start of Battle

The Maldathian Shock Troopers sprung out of the nearby brush and rushed down into the town with guns blazing, bullets tearing through the straw thatched huts lying on the outskirts. As they got to close to the town they stopped their monstrous charge to start spraying the town with hot metal.

0730 Hours, Town of Eth

Screams quickly filled the air as the few people not in the churchers were killed, mainly the elderly and those who were unable to walk. Dozens of citizens, fearing for their lives, rushed out the doors to look for cover, quickly mowed down in the rain of hot lead as blood quickly ran down the cobblestone road, creating small read streams in every direction. At this point the Maldaathi received little opposisition, and those that managed to see who had done the massacre seemed utterly shocked, a sparse few even escaping with their lives to tell the others.

Within five minutes all of the church bells in the town began to ring, though as of yet there seemed to be nobody attacking the invaders. Then it happened, from the second story floor of one of the town's shops a few bullets quickly rang out, fired from snipers in hiding. This was soon followed by more and more bullets, ranging from stray shots from the church towers towards a few citizens armed with assault rifles firing from alleyways, screaming obsenities.

Three of the terrorists, unaware of what was going on, walked out onto the street and screamed up at one of the windows for directions on where the enemy were coming from. They quickly found out however as the enemy soldiers marched down the street towards them, mowing down the group of three armed citizens in a roar of gunfire, large chunks of flesh flying off of their bodies as the reddish chunks of meat hit the hard ground with a series of disgusting smacks.

0732 Hours, Town of Eth

Casualties (Enemy Post): 2

Overview:The Shock Troopers had been reduced to 98 men after several snipers managed to shoot 2 unlucky troops. Though now they had now pushed into the outer area of the town and were beginning to bash down doors to civilian obodes, shooting every occupant inside. They were making good progress as a small number of insurgents suprised a small squad ransacking a house and opened fire.

Six men bashed into the next house along the lane of homes and began searching the first floor for insurgents. They searched the first floor thoroughly, only finding a small loot of jewels which they pocketed discretley. They met back in the middle of the room and nodded silently to each other before 2 began to slowly climb the stairs to the second floor when 3 insurgents jumped onto the first landing and shot down into the small group of troops.

Caught completely off-guard two soldiers were cut down immediately. The remaining four dived behind cover and prepared to return fire.

Casualties Total: Civilian: 92 Terrorist: 15

Most of the houses the soldiers burst into were empty, as nearly one hundred citizens were killed in cold blood. Women, Children, essentially everyone above the age of four was killed in a hail of bullets, as the city blocks were quickly filled with the crying of infants. The streets were now lined with bodies, as those who tried to flee now lay dead or dying. The churchers were mainly in the center of town, and as the rain of sniper fire and terrorists continued, taken in turn as bursts of bullets sent them flying back in splashes in gore.

The terrorists continued to fire as they rushed down the stairs, but due to their lack of actual training were taken down before they reached the bottom steps, their motionless bodies rolling to a stop on the bottom.

0735 Hours, Town of Eth

Overview: It was now time for Maldaathi to make their hasty retreat. The ambushed squad made it out of the house with the remaining 4 soldiers after checking the second floor. Having made a hasty retreat into the distance and losing only 3 more men in the process the Maldathian Army had naught to do but wait for the Christians to come out to celebrate their victory.

0750 Hours, Town of Eth

It took awhile for word to get around that the soldiers had finally retreated, and as they did so, large groups of the people, civilians and armed civilians alike made their way to the center of town cheering. Though large groups of them still remained in the sniper nests, in case they were planning on coming back. The foreigners had helped cement the fact that those from other portions of the world were just as blood-thirsty and cruel as Antanjyl itself, perhaps even more so.


"People!!!" An older gentleman shouted, raising an AK-47 over his head as the group cheered, "The enemy has run, no doubt afraid of taking more casualties from our snipers... However... This is not a time for celebration, for it means that we have been targetted by the foreign bastards for some reason! They have killed our women and children, and seem to want nothing more than our utter destruction... Are we simply going to sit idly by and wait?!"

"Never!!!" Was the response he received as the almost three thousand people crowding the center began to cheer in unisen.

0800 Hours, Town of Eth

Overview: As predicted the foolish townsfolk had decided it would be a good idea to celebrate in a wide open space, thus playing directly into Maldathian Artillery fire.

0800 Hours, Maldaathi Head Quarters

The several heads of command sat in a large command centre overlooking the artillery making final preparations for the shelling that was to commence. They sat occasionally while talking loudly to each other and praising themselves on how well the plan devised by the Ninth Route had worked.

0803 Hours, Maldaathi Head Quarters

The shelling, which had commenced at 0801 had now swung into full scale with all 40+ pieces of artillery firing heavily into the town. Distant explosions faint only carried to the base via the wind. The only part of the plan that could go wrong now was pure chance. That was, how effective would the shelling be? Too effective and the efforts would have been for little. Most supplies would have been destroyed horribley and all possible future-soldiers dead. While under-effectiveness would provide problems for the evacuation team, in the form of resistance.

0810 Hours, Town of Eth

"Now... We must first pl-" The old man began to speak, but was spontaneously cut off as the land he was standing on literally exploded as an artillery shell hit, sending a rain of gore and body parts into the air.

"WE'RE BEING BOMBARDED! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!" A man began to shout continuously as he led the way to one of the sewer entrances, as houses and buildings quickly burst into flames, sending chunks of metal and furniture onto the screaming populace.

Burning bodies and gore were everywhere, as the dead clung to the living in their attempts to get under the city into the bunkers. The massive hysteria made it as such that numerous citizens trampled who were once their neighbors, while others bludgeoned everyone in their way as they attempted to squeeze into the manholes. This lasted roughly ten minutes of the bombardment, as anyone spared by the original executions were dead as the final artillery shell landed, causing the single remaining churches' bell tower to slowly fall over into the street...

0811 Hours, Town of Eth

Overview: The shelling of Eth had continued now for almost 9 minutes which was close to the shelling limit of 8minutes 50seconds. Eventually this time came and passed and it was decided by HQ Commanders that this would be enough to launch another attack on Eth, this time consisting of the bulk of the brigade.

According to our Agents which infiltrated the area, there should be numerous underground bunkers located in the sewer system. Enclosed are a few documents of their locations, and entrances which you might be able to use to get to them. They shouldn't be that well armed underground, since as far as they know the government has no idea about the bunkers. Good luck.

0817 Hours, Town of Eth

Overview: Upon recieving the documents the Brigade Field Commander immediately dispatched the allocated units to the town where within minutes they arrived. All tanks stayed along the perimeter of the town to eliminate all would-be escapee's while the rest of the convoy made its way through the rubble to the city centre, where Antanjyl documents showed, to be the best entrance to the sewer system.

Eth Town Centre: The loud thud of heavy boot against steel rung out in the town square as the hundreds of troops disembarked their transport and into the now cramped square. Upon instructions from Galf himself the soldiers used a sewer crowbar to lift the grating which barred their entrance. After they flung the large circular piece of metal away the soldiers slowly jumped one by one into the sewer each running off looking for survivors with a loud splish-slposh sound of their boots running through the very shallow water. The briefing dictated that the soldiers were to return within 5 minutes, bringing all alive Ethian's back to the town square to reformation. (NOTE: Hence the closed space the soldiers are using modified 'Stubby HAR-1s')

0820 Hours, Town of Eth

The sewer water was tinted a gore-filled red as the maldaathi soldiers leapt into it. Looking down would be all that was necessary to notice the burnt or crushed bodies of the Christians who weren't able to get out of the way in time. That, mixed with the usual stench from the sewers was blended in a kind of twisted harmony. Further down the sewer was a large pair of black iron doors, where the rebels were crowded in, hiding. There were more, but among them this was the largest nest of them...

Roughly one dozen or so had taken the opportunity to flee above the surface, and every single one of them were mowed down in a frenzy of bullets. Each yet another body adding to the blood-soaked lands of Antanjyl.

0822 Hours, Eth Town Centre

Overview: Five minutes later, as per orders, over 9000 men and women civilians knelt on their knees, hands tied behind their backs in the Town Centre. The operation had been a success. Now came the part of loading everyone back and retreating to the main Maldaathi Base.

Epilogue: The entire brigade retreated back to Chievlobynsk Base with the 9196 civilians in hummers, while the unlucky few who missed out on transport were forced to walk beside their lucky neighbours. Upon entering the base all were submitted to reformation upon which 7804 New Communists were sprouted, while the other few either were tortured to death or commited suicide. All 7804 renounced their faith and pledged allegiance to the Maldathian Nation and it's great Commissar's. The town of Eth was then bombed to rubble afterwards by several B-52 Bombers. The Maldathian Government believed this to be a successful operation.
