OOC: This is not the commonwealth.

The small, flat blue disk expanded and disappeared, as the long, grey ship flew out into the solar system

Translated:
Sun Type: Yellow Dwarf
Moon(s): Single
Position: Acceptable
Size: acceptable

The ship turned towards the planet, switching its old, questionable sensors to the planet

Atmosphere: Acceptable
Water: Present
Life forms: Not present

Unfortunately for the colony ship, its sensors were wrong. There was life on the planet, and sentient life at that.

OOC: Now, who wants to be the unfortunate people involved in this?

ooc: I could be. Are you looking for FT nations (me), MT nations, PT nations?

OOC: I'll say FT.

OOC I'll hop in as well, if thats ok. My normal nation is PMT, but it can translate to futuristic space corporation easily enough

The small Kazeci vacation world of Taleen:
"Vessel in the system, sir."
"No, the shipment is not due for another week. Are there any transports scheduled? Is it a private craft?" Governor Garner was slightly confused.
Two replied at once, "Much to big to be a private craft, sir." and
"No transports scheduled."
"Hail them, find out what's wrong. Nobody comes here unannounced unless there's a problem."

Unidentified Vessel: this is the Kazeci leisure world Taleen. What is your intent? We do not usually accept unannounced visitors- one needs to make reservations in advance.

As most Kazeci architecture was underground and this- a leisure world- had its environment preserved beyond the already high Kazeci standards, it was understandable that imperfect sensors wouldn't detect the small population.

The ship continued on, ignorant of the organisms attempts to contact it, and neared the upper part of the atmosphere

OOC: they aren't designed to communicate with anything other than their home base, seeing as they're sent to colonize remote locations and there's need for other contacts.

"No response to hails."
"Sir, they're continuing the approach."
"If they're hostile, what's our best case scenario?"
"Nearest Kazeci patrol is days away. Our guard force is fully prepared- but I don't know how much they can do."
"Alright, make the outdoors off limits and bring everyone to the city core. Until we get a response they must be considered hostile." Governor Garner was more worried than his voice let on. Only once before had he ever issued those orders, and thankfully Kazeci patrols were near by that time.

Entering Planetary Atmosphere. Heat Shielding At Optimum Capacity.

The long ship roared through the atmosphere, aburning streak behind it.

Engaging Reverse Thrusters.

The reverse thrusters fired, jolting the ship as it suddenly slowed down a great deal. It continued to slow down, eventually no longer consumed by flames, which by no had blackened the front of the hull

Disengage Reverse Thrusters. Landing Gear Operational. Prepare To Land.

The ship, now moving quite slow(in relation to its previous speed) approached a large, flat, plain. Stopping, the ship lowered itslef and deployed its landing gear.

Landing Successful. Begin Thawing Of Embryos.

"They've landed sir. Your bullet is ready."
"Good, I want a word with these people." Garner said as he left the room, headed for his transport.

The small craft approached the intruders with great speed. Making a hasty touch down, it unloaded its passengers- Garner and 8 guards. They awaited meting those onboard the unwelcome craft.

A ramp extended from the front underside of the ship. Quickly a cautiously, a hovering robot floated down, looking like a thich upper half of a humanoid torso. It turned to where the ship was and looked quite shocked.

I have detected sentient lifeforms
Negative. I Detect No Sentient Lifeforms
But they're right there.
Enough. I Shall Deploy The Auxiliary Scouts

Two, more robots floated down, though these looked like small frames of a non-organic object

There are sentient lifeforms on this planet
No. Sensor Checks Have Been Performed. My Sensors Are Functioning Perfectly. You Are Malfunctioning
If you say so

And so many more robots descended from the ship, carrying large amounts of materials to build the new colony with.

"Do they not see us?" Garner asked, bewildered.
"What are they doing?" asked a guard.
Without waiting another second, Garner left his guards and marched over to the base of the ramp. Approaching one of the robots, he shouted, "Hey! This is our planet!" Observing that they had first been ignored, the pilot of the transport took off and landed it right in the path of the robots who were carrying supplies for who knows what.

There is an obstruction in the path
What Is The Origin Of it?
it appears to have moved from one side of the clearing to the other

"Hey!" Garner shouted again, this time smacking one of the droids on the back of the 'head'. "Don't you get it?"

The droid whirled around, seeing nothing, as the main thing it saw was Garner, and since Garner was intelligent and the ship had said there were no intelligent life-forms, it ignored him.

This problem should be investigated before the colonists are born.

Garner was a small man, barely 5' 2", but he had a temper. His face grew red as his shouting grew louder. Anger shook him. One final shove to the droid and he stormed back to his guards, cursing. "Shoot the damned things!" He finally yelled. "Shoot the bastards!"

The guards were too afraid to question him, despite the fact that he was asking them to resort to violence without provocation on a diplomatic mission. Each raised their staff and fired it from their shoulder. Transparent waves of energy surged fourth, hitting the droids with such force as would knock a man flat.

"No, damn it! I said 'shoot them'! Shoot the bastards!" He shook with fury while his face reddened to an even deeper shade as he grabbed one of their staffs and fired from the other end. They had no choice short of bringing his anger upon themselves and as such each flipped their staff so that the other end faced the invaders. One by one they fired; purple bolts of energy streaked through the air. These would kill.

The security droids whirtled towards them, bringing up shields and firing their own pink bursts at random towards the source of the bursts, the purple bursts of the staffs creating ripples in the shields. They may have believed that there were no sentient beings, but they were not foolish enough to ignore a threat to the colonists...and themselves.

The Kazecis 'hit the deck' after the response, having only fired one shot each. The guards motioned for Garner to crawl back and away with them; he did so, having lost of his anger to fear.

The transport also reacted- its pilot alerted by the situation. It moved swiftly between the Kazecis and the droids, allowing them to board the craft and protecting them from further harm. One guard's leg was injured- it looked bad- and a few others had minor burns and nicks. The craft swiftly took off, returning to the small city. There they exchanged their wounded for fresh guards, adding 6 to their ranks. Another quick flight and they were back over the invaders.

The droids, still denying the existence of sentience, waited until they were fired upon to attack

There Is An Error In The Diagnostic Program. Correcting...Correction Made...Fixing Sensors...Sensors Fixed. Sentient Life Detected

Suddenly aware of the craft, a good deal of the droids turned towards it, attempting to reach a conclusion about their work and how the sentient life would affect them.

Noticing the change in behavior, Garner ordered the craft to land. Once again, he and the guards emerge and approached, this time with more caution. "Can you understand us?"

They Appear To Communicate Via Signals Created By Air. This Will Prove Difficult.

The two guard robots gave no indication of understanding.

"Sir,"
"Yeah?"
"They're robots, right?"
"And?"
"The Bullet can send and receive electronic signals, right?"
"Your point?"
"Perhaps we could send them a message?" Five minutes and it was done, the standard recorded first contact message along with a warning that this land was taken was sent.
