OOC: The History of Demenz
Birth January 3, 1992.
Peace is the illusive right, and can only be achieved through the hard work of all the socially-minded people - Christoph Kartzen (Pre-revolutionary Demenz Social Advocate)
The Iron Curtain that once seperated the world had recently fallen. The territories of the former Soviet Union had begun to become seperate nations. One of these was the nation of Demenz. The people of Demenz were not at all that opressed during the USSR's reign. They lived in the outlying areas of Ukraine and Belarus, nestled comfortably near the more-eastern parts of Europe. They of course were ruled by the false Socialistic goverment of the USSR. After the fall, several revolutions began to sprout and spread, leaving behind them the seed of socialism, which was swept aloft to be planted in new Aeas of the region. Soon a nation had begun to take shape. The territories (states), which there were 12, were all lead by their own small goverment. In the Winter 1992 these states combined to become Modern-day Demenz. A party of well minded and thoughtful socialist advocates was formed, this party is known as the United Demenz Socialist Party, and for a time, life was good. There of course were other socially minded political parties, this was just the largest. Of course, like all socialistic revolutions, seeds of deceipt began to take place. A nation that once prided itself on being a equal utopia had started to become a festering pot of greed, like that of the USSR which they had recently carved their freedom from. The Nation's many political parties died out, and only one remained, that was the United Demenz Socialist Party. In 2004 the nation Joined the UN, and diplomacy had started once again. The nation had been observing political abstenance for the period of 1997-2004.

Attention Nations of the world. It is my great honor to announce that for the first time in over 10 years, the borders of the Great nation of Demenz are being opened once again. For too long we have observed a policy of political abstenance, and are seeking to extend the olive branch of peace, diplomacy, and freedom. We are now accepting foreign diplomats into our nation, and will be granting 3 nations Embasy space in our capital city of Mirokov. I eagerly await your response nations of the world.
