Snake Eaters

OOC: All right, this is my first attempt at a storefront, so you’ll have to bear with me for a while. I’ll also explain the reasoning behind this storefront as well. Simply put, you see military and civil storefronts all the time, but none of them cater solely to the infantry. I intend to do this for one reason: Because I take great pride in having infantry that are realistic and effective.
Also, a little bit of explanation with regard to the technology. Snake Eaters is an FT nation; allow me to make that clear. However, my Special Forces prefer MT weapons. Don’t ask why, they just do. However, they do carry a small supply of FT weapons for use in certain assignments in the armoury. So, for every piece of equipment, I will also place a tech-level next to it. !PLEASE!, only buy equipment appropriate to your tech-level. If you want to buy FT-gear and you are an MT nation, send me a telegram and we’ll work something out. I can supply MT, PMT and FT nations.
All right, on with the show.

In Snake Eaters, we take great pride in our Special Forces. These men and women are the cream of the military, and they perform jobs that many people deem impossible. In the past, they have opened their facilities to the wider world, and have trained others in their basic level course. However, until now, they have not shared their equipment with the world at large, choosing to operate largely in secret. They have now chosen to share their expertise with the galaxy at large, and that means allowing others to use their equipment.
This storefront is completely automated, and sends orders via the ITH (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=422493) to your system or planet. Please do all your own maths, and double check it, for there will be a 5% penalty charge for those who submit faulty totals.

All products marked printed in blue are Snake Eater exclusives, and thus carry a far higher price tag.

Section 1: Handguns
All Handguns are supplied in boxes; 15 weapons per box. Therefore, all prices given are prices for an entire box. We cannot supply weapons individually, as this has been deemed economically unsound.
Browning High Power Mk 3 (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/SnakeEaters/Infantry%20Storefront/BrowningHP.jpg)
The last firearms design to come from J.M Browning himself, who died in 1926. This design is manufactured by FN (Fabrique Nationale) Herstal, Belgium. The design is highly reliable and robust, with a large magazine and good stopping power, making it a favourite with Special Forces and bodyguards alike despite it’s age.
Tech-Level: MT
Calibre: 9x19 mm
Length: 200mm
Weight: 0.88kg unloaded, 1.04kg loaded
Magazine capacity: 14 rounds
Action: Single
Price: $3750 ($250 per weapon)
Glock pistols (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/SnakeEaters/Infantry%20Storefront/Glock.gif)
Largely made of plastic, all Glocks are nevertheless extremely reliable and potent weapons in trained hands. A number of variations exist, in a variety of calibres and sizes. However, they are extremely simple to use, the basic Glock 17 consisting only of 33 parts, and can be stripped in a matter of seconds. The safety mechanism of all Glocks is conducted by a group of internal mechanisms, meaning that all you have to do is draw and fire, as the weapon is safe when holstered, and does not release the safety catch until you pull the trigger
Tech-Level: MT
Calibre(s): 9x19 mm (Glock 17), 10mm (Glock 20)
Length: 186mm
Weight: 0.62kg unloaded, 0.88kg loaded.
Magazine capacity: 17 rounds
Action(s): Both single.
Price: $4500 ($300 per weapon)
IMI Desert Eagle (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/SnakeEaters/Infantry%20Storefront/desert-eagle-01.jpg)
A weapon much popularised by Hollywood action films, this pistol is still one of only a few gas-operated blowback handguns in existence. The power of the Magnum rounds used makes give it stopping power like no other, however this power does make it very difficult to handle effectively. It is, contrary to the myth, impossible to wield a Desert Eagle one handed with any real degree of accuracy. We do not offer the .50 Action Express round.
Tech-Level: MT
Calibre(s): 0.35in Magnum, 0.44in Magnum
Length: 260mm
Weight: 1.701kg unloaded, 1.730kg loaded
Magazine capacities: 9 rounds (0.357), 7 rounds (0.44)
Action: Single
Price: $6750 ($450 per weapon)
Colt M1911A1 (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/SnakeEaters/Infantry%20Storefront/sa-m1911a1.jpg)
Although this handgun was first used in 1911, the weapon is still very popular today due to it’s power, thanks to the 0.45 ACP round if fires. Since 1911, it has been modernised many times by many different manufacturers, including Colt. We stock the original, as well as the Delta Elite, which is the same basic design but using the 10mm round.
Tech-Level: MT
Calibre(s): 0.45in ACP, 10mm
Length: 219mm
Weight: 1.36kg unloaded, 1.55kg loaded
Magazine capacities: 7 rounds (0.45), 11 rounds (10mm)
Action: Single
Price: $3000 ($200 per weapon)
FN Five seveN Tactical (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d0/Fn_fiveseven.gif)
One of Fabrique Nationale's latest offerings, the Five-seveN is an unusual pistol. FN claims that thanks to the use of their newly designed 5.7 x 28 mm round, the Five-seveN is capable of piercing the older US Army PASGT vest at 300 meters range, and a U.S. Army PASGT 'Kevlar' helmet at a range of 240 meters. The advantages of the pistol itself include its weight (the 5.7 mm round weighs half as much as a standard 9 mm round), its recoil (FN claims the 5.7 mm round produces roughly half the felt recoil of a 9 mm round), and its 20-round magazine, which holds significantly more ammunition than other pistols. Despite its magazine capacity, the Five-seveN is a light pistol, as well as being reasonably compact. Though seemingly an effective weapon, the Five-seveN has not been widely adopted, due mostly to the unconventional concept and ammunition
Tech-Level: MT
Calibre: 5.7x28mm
Length: 208mm
Weight: .617kg unloaded, .744kg loaded
Magazine Capacity: 10 or 20 rounds
Action: Single
Price: $4500 ($300 per weapon)
Colt M1873 Single Action Army (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/SnakeEaters/Infantry%20Storefront/SAA.jpg)
Despite it’s age and antiquity, this single-action revolver is still just as deadly as it was when it was first introduced. Revolvers are renowned for their ruggedness under extreme conditions, as well as sporting large amounts of stopping power. The SAA is a legendary weapon, using 0.45in Long rounds, making them more deadly than the modern day rounds of the same calibre. The slower speeds of a revolver bullet mean it is more likely to lodge within the target, causing extremely painful injuries. However, like all revolvers, it suffers from the problem The version seen here is the 5 ½, the Artillery model.
Tech-Level: MT
Calibre: 0.45in Long
Length: 211mm
Weight: 0.8kg unloaded, 0.97kg loaded
Magazine Capacity: 6 rounds
Action: Single
Price: $6000 ($400 per weapon)
Enfield No 2 Mk 1* (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/SnakeEaters/Infantry%20Storefront/enfield_no2_mk1_star.jpg)
The British Tank Corps developed this version of the standard British service revolver for World War Two in the late 1930’s, redesigned the original weapon by a large margin, which in itself had been derived from the Webley Mark 6 service revolver, rendered obsolete sometime before. Built without spurs in order to prevent snagging on clothing and other things at close quarters, this double-action pistol was still in use after World War Two.
Tech-Level: MT
Calibre: .38 S&W
Length: 198mm
Weight: 0.765kg unloaded, 0.9kg loaded
Magazine Capacity: 6 rounds
Action: Double
Price: $4500 ($300 per weapon)
DC15s Side Arm Blaster (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/SnakeEaters/Infantry%20Storefront/Dc15s_RepComm.jpg)
The BlasTech DC15s SAB is the standard sidearm for Snake Eaters Colonial Marines, as well as for the Old Republic’s Clone Commandoes. It is extremely useful in close-quarters situations, or when conservation of ammunition is paramount The self-charging dynamic energy cell keeps the weapon constantly recharged at a slow but steady rate.
Tech-Level: FT
Ammunition Type: Charged plasma bolts, activated by tibanna gas
Recharge Rate: 7 rounds per second
Length: 200mm
Weight: 0.86kg
Price: $11250 ($750 per weapon)
Type-2 Hand Phaser (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Phaser)
These weapons (http://photobucket.com/albums/a6/SnakeEaters/Infantry%20Storefront/?action=view¤t=phaserpistol.jpg) are refined models of the phasers used by those of the Federation. The wand like design has been regressed into a more pistol like format for ease of use and more point-ability (that is, it is more naturally adapted to point at the target). Unlike many phasers, this weapon uses phaser pulses. It also incorporates 16 settings, each more capable of damage than the last
Tech-Level: FT
Ammunition: Energy passage through certain crystals, resulting in the Nadion Effect.
Recharge Rate: Dependent on setting
Length: 231mm
Weight: 0.95kg
Price: $11250 ($750 per weapon)
OOC: Sorry for lack of detail on the image of this weapon, but to it was difficult to find.
