The search for a weapon which could provide the force of the popular 11mm AR-22 (http://phoenixdynamix.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=gunz&action=display&thread=1103701142) but with a bit more manageable recoil and ammunition weight has brought the elite KOP unit (Knights of the Phoenix) to the all new Warhammer line of .42 caliber assault weapons which was developed with input by a joint development team from MTI, FN-TPM, and PD inc. The versatile weapon is so named for its peculiar rear sight aperture, which is reminiscent of a claw hammer.
Several variants have been orderd.
SR-42: Semi-Automatic accuraized rifle with 12 rds magazine, folding bipod and scope
AR-42: Full Assault Rifle with rail interface system for a varitey of optics, sights lasers bayonets and/or grenade launchers. 32rds mag or 64 rds drum
CAR-42: Short barreled carbine with standard spring buffer system, removable buttstock and fore grip. 32rds mag
LMG-42: Squad automatic weapon/light machine gun with heavier, vented quick-change barrel, 160 rds box, and folding bipod.
P-42: Pistol with 12 rds magazine, recoil reducing gel and enhanced micro-spring buffer system

Production of this new weapons line has begun in limited amounts and will be issued to KOP units as well as some other special operations forces in March. No word yet on public available, although with Phoenix Dynamix's reputation, the main contractor, we can expect to see an export version by April.
