Upon coming into the Council Chambers, Quinlan found it empty. With them gone, he left the Temple, leaving a message on his door to his whereabouts so some Jedi wouldn't think he jumped ship. Boarding an Theta-Class Shuttle, and arriving at the Venator-Class Star DestroyerHunter. Upon inspection, he found the ship to be fully staffed, clone troopers and all, as well as starifghter replacements. He stayed onboard to make more checks, and prepare for the battle, whether it be headed by him or not.

The Intrepid finally came out of hyperspace. Aboard in the bridge Commander Bly put on his helmet while Captain Pellaeon commanded the men. They were going to drop down in the army HQ. Commander Bly had sent a message to General Secura that they had come. They entered Coruscant's atmosphere and sat down at the army HQ. Now they waited until they got orders to leave and General Secura came here.

Obi Wan was at the HQ with Commander Cody. They were going to have a fleet of 1 Venator-class Star Destroyer and two Acclamator Assault ships. The 7th Sky Corps was loading up in the two Acclamator Assault ships. Obi Wan looked at Cody.

"So are you ready for the mission? We might not make it out alive."

Cody replied "I'm always ready General Obi Wan"

Obi-Wan went into the Venator-class Star Destroyer and Cody went with his troops into a Acclamator Assault Ship. Once in the bridge of the SD Obi-Wan waited until Secura came and board the Intrepid. Then they would move toward Quinlan and finally the space station.

By now, the three other Venator class Star Destroyers that had been at Hoth had reached and met with the Hoth with their other starships. More Acclamator ships launched also to join their fleet as it expanded further as other 'spare' ships from across the Core came to the massing fleet.

EDIT OOC: Canadstein, you do realize that as a member of the Jedi Council, you are effectively "in charge"? Only the Supreme Chancellor (of which there isn't one available to order) and Yoda are above the various High Generals (the members of the Jedi Council)

Secura gathered her fleet including Venator and Victory class Star Destroyers, Dreadnaughts and Carrack cruisers, CR90 corvettes, and a CC-2200 Intredictor Cruiser she then headed for Quinlan's chambers to inform him of his situashon, when she saw the message on the door she found the nearest com station and sent him a message informing him of his situashon then headed for the Intrepid

OOC: does the CC-2200 exist yet? i know they where built in 19BBY but where they ever under Republic use or where they first made by the Empire?

Anakin's landing was bit harder then usual. He sat back into the chair and tried to think his next few moves out. It wouldn't take long for the clones to figure out that his fighter was no longer manned.

The flight crews were running over to the damaged fighter. Anakin was trying to remember the schematics for the Venetor Star Destroyer. He thinl he knew the quickest way out of here and to an terminal that he could probably hack into.

Anakin heard the clunk of the ladder being placed against the Star Destroyer. He knew it was time to move.

As the Clone tech climbed the ladder, he was knocked back as the canopy for the ARC-170 was blown off. Anakin jumped out of the cockpit and was running as fast as he could push himself. The clones saw nothing but a black and brown blur. Anakin felt himself tiring, his arm was in agony, and it was sapping strength away from the rest of his body. He saw the spot where he needed to go. He jumped again onto the catwalk and jarred his arm. He clenched his teeth and kicked out a ventilation shaft. He ducked down and crawled into it. His arm was screaming in pain.

He was able to make it to a junction point after what seemed like an eternity. He stopped and just fell onto the ground. After a few mintues he gathered the concetration needed to begin the healing. He needed to be quick though. He didn't know when the clones would be after him.


"He's in the air Vents..." A clone spoke through his head set, the Star Destroyers Captain nodded...

"Bring up some Sleeping gas, Flood the Vents with it, any Personel without helmets are to secure Gas Masks..."

"Understood Captain"

Quickly the clones went to work while anakin was still in the Junction of the vents, The Clones set up various tanks that would flood the vents with sleeping gas, quickly they opened the valves and soon every inch of the vents was swimming with the pungent acrid gasses...

The Clones were fine, their helmets were keeping the air clean, safe for them to breath as the ship flooded with gas... Personel not wearing helmets, were sporting gas masks, with Anakin nocked out, he would be easy to recover and capture...

Aurra Sing couldn't believe her eyes. She had heard the rumors, but hardly thought they were true... And yet, right there before here eyes was a massive sphere of untold power; seemingly complete to her very basic knowledge of it.

Anakin had just finished healing his arm, when he realized something was wrong. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, until he caught a wiff of something. He immeadiatly stopped breathing. Though he felt a little woozy from that one breath.

He unhooked his resperator from his belt and put the mask over his mouth. He checked the pressure in it, he had about 10 minutes before the thing ran out. They knew he was on the ship, so the armoury was locked down. That left him about 10 minutes to find a lone clone trooper.

He crawled through the vents, checking every opening. Finally he found one clone trooper who was heading towards the infimary. It was easy to knock the trooper out, all he had to do was use the force to pull off the trooper's helmet, and the sleeping gas did the rest.

Thankfully there had been a trash duct nearby, and he hadn't needed to drag the trooper far. The armour was a bit tight but, Anakin thought he looked a lot like a trooper. He marched down the corridor towards a data terminal that he could use.

Angered that her lightsaber and blasters had been stripped from her, she walked slowly away from her ship.

"I want to speak to the Dark Lord!" she cried out, ignoring the blasters pointed at her.

The Troopers raised their weapons once more, in a menacing fashion, before the Sergeant nodded several times in reponse to a radio communication...

"Follow us" He spoke, before walking away the other clones waited until Aura moved then followed her, ensuring that if she tried anything, quite a few blaster bolts would ensure her corpse fell to the ground quickly...

Aurra Sing might have been incredibly unstable, but she wasn't stupid enough to try anything idiotic when inside a fortress of untold power and surrounded by an unknown amount of hostile beings.

She followed behind casually...

After what seemed like forever walking down the long snaking corridors, they finaly reached a large open plan room, infront of a large veiw screen was a large black throne, the Clones came to a perfect stop, their foot falls making an exquisite sound...

Slowly the Throne turned around to reveal, Darth Sidious...

"Ahh... Aurra Sing... my little Jedi Friend... what can I do for you on this beautiful day... Ahahahaha" Sidious's voice sounded evil, it stank of hatred and loathing, and his laugh was sick and disgusting, throaty and vile...

She kneeled slowly, "I have come to pledge my service to you... and ask humbly for you to teach me in return."

Bespin:

Grievious' shuttle landed on the open landscape of Bespin's landing docks. His Magna Guards followed in clean crisp rows, there they activated their weapons and deflected a few shots coming from the main hub on all of Bespin. The main push had come, one of Bespin's better features was the lack of space that needed to be subjugated. Now Cloud City was ripe for the taking and he had appeared personally to make sure that this would be a victory. He advanced over the narrow span seperating his small single-landing space docking zone. The few clones had this far managed to get a perimeter for the center crossroads.

Grievious marched towards the clones, ingniting his lightsabers as he advanced as he took point for the arrowhead of Magna Guards as he blocked the shots spraying out from their carbines. He neatly sliced through one at the waist twirled and using his third arm he grabbed one of the carbines with his fourth arm brought the rifle up and steadied the weapon's sigh. As that happened his second arm (with a lightsaber) smashed the back end into the face mask of the commanding clone, breaking his neck, and then used the saber end to decapitate another. The carbine now was fully up as he "wasted" 4 more clones. By then the perimeter had been broached by the Magna Gurads and oher CIS forces.

After helping out some other Jedi and coordinating the recovery effort, Yoda returned to his chambers where he began meditating...

IC: as Grievous advanced Commander Deviss watched on the cities security scanners, why Grievous would attack now when he had no fleet and few forces on the planet left, and the Republic had a fleet and he was gaining reenforcments he couldn't understand. but as long as Grievous was here Deviss would try and capture him. he moved sevral troopers into possition just waiting to ambush Grievous if he came by and sent two Squads to draw Grievous to a better location inside the city...

OOC: Possibly by luck, but I agree; he shouldn't be able to block blasters (especially lots of them). The only reason Jedi can is because the Force guides them - something Grievous does not have.

The Clone Troopers began to comb the vent systems, looking for a sleeping Anakin, after several minutes and multiple squads reporting nothing, it was decided that Anakin was still at large... A Very Big Problem...

"My Lord..." The Clone Commander reported in to Darth Sidious... "Anakin is no where to be seen... "

"Hmmm... He is still there, I can sense his presence... " Sidious spoke slowly and carefully, his voice rasping...

"He is either in Hiding, or Disguised..." Sidious Mused...

"What are your orders, My Lord?"

"Execute Her... She is no longer of any use to me... Anakin is not willing to talk, perhaps with a short, sharp shock to the system, it will cause him to loose his composure, his disguise... and his hold on the Light side of the Force.."

"As you wish My Lord..." The Holographic image of the Commander clicked his heels together and bowed his head forward in a sign of respect...

"Order the Guards in Sector 7-G to Execute Pademe, Orders of Sidious.."

Pademe's Cell, Sector 7 - G

The Clones guarding her cell, pressed the door combination and slowly the door rose, inside was Pademe, The Chancellor sat on a leather bench, her eyes were drawn and tired, her face was white and she looked ill...

The Evil had not left the Galaxy, and the Jedi had let their guard down enough for the Senate to be massacred and herself to be captured...

"What do you want?" She spoke, rising from her seat...

The Clones didn't respond, but rather continued to stare at her through lifeless lenses in their helmets...

"You don't scare me, Anakin will be here any second to save me..."

An Officer in a black uniform walked in...

"I'm Afraid Not this time, Chancellor

"What is that supposed to mean?"

The Officer shook his head and smiled...

"Anakin was caught this morning boarding the vessel, he was shot before he could get further than the Flight Deck.."

"What? That Can't be... It's not true.... I won't belive it..."

"You have no choice... His body has been sent to Lord Sidious...."

"What about me?... and the Fate of the Republic?"

"The Republic Officially Surrendered to Lord Sidious at the news of Anakins death... and you Chancellor are of no further use to us"

Tears began to well up in Pademe's eyes, this was all too much for her, in the time that it took for her to reach the Construction site of the death star, the Republic had fallen and Anakin was dead.... this of course was a brazen lie... completely false, a cruel and evil psycological game to play on Pademe before she was executed...

"So, I'm to be set free..."

".... Not... Quite..."

The Officer nodded, and the two Clones grasped Pademe's arms, their strength immeadiatly overpowered her, forcing her to the back of the cell, holding her steadfast against the wall...

The Officer pulled out a small black box, inside was a hypodermic Needle, he attached it to a sryinge, which inside contained a lethal dose of Chemicals, something that would cause her system to shut down, first her non vital organs, she would slowly go deaf, then her blindness would take over, her fingers and legs would go numb, then slowly it would work its way towards her heart, until she was dead...

1 hour was the estimated time, for a normal sized male adult, but in Pademe's case, the Dosage was upped and her small frame would mean that it would take effect within 30 minutes...

The Officer stepped up to her, as the clones held her in place, the officer trapping her fore arm, between his chest and arm pit, tapped the veins several times, until one came to the surface...

sliding The Needle in, the Officer injected the Toxic Mix...

once done the clones let her drop to the ground...

Satisifed the job was done, the Clones and the Officer left the room, sealing the Door shut...

"Lord Sidious" The Clone Commander spoke...

"It is Done..."

"Excellent...."

Sidious turned back to Aurra...

"Now then, my friend... I have a task for you... Prove your worth... Destroy Anakin and I will begin your training at once..."

"It would be a pleasure my lord," Aurra Sing replied, still in her kneeling position. "I would enjoy destroying this Jedi..." she said before quietly adding, "especially after that bastard got away from me."

She stood and bowed her head once again before turning and leaving the room. Her lightsaber was instantly ablaze with energy as her senses reached out and tried to find the Jedi Master.

There... she thought as she could sense his force signature in a specific portion of the ship. She set of running in his general direction, determined to hunt him down and deliver him a painful death...

Anakin was still hunting for a damned computer terminal when he felt it. To a person who has not felt the forcce it could be best described as a kick in the balls. Anakin, felt Padme's terror, not for herself but for her children. Then to Anakin's growing horror he felt Pame begin to die. He could feel the the force starting to leave he body.

The disguise was over and the gloves were off. Anakin knew exactly where Padme was now, and nothing was going to get in his way. He used force speed and killed any troopers that got in his way. The lives of the troopers no longer mattered to him.

He was rounded a bend and saw a blockade down the corridor. it consisted of a clone squad, two automatic turrets, and a closed blast door. Anakin strectched out his hand and using the force ripped the blast door and smashed the other defences aside. He continued to run.

After going through 3 more blockades and a plattoon of traitors Anakin fianlly reached Padme's cell. Anakin again ripped the door off with the force and saw his love.

She had collapsed on the floor, Anakin rushed to her, knelt to the ground and swept her up into his arms. He whispered frantically, "Padme, Padme, its me, Anakin. Please Padme." Padme's eye lids fluttered open and faintly whispered, "Anakin? They... said you.... had died." Anakin shook his head and said, "No, no, I'm alright. Padme what happened to you?" Tears began to well up in Anakin's eyes. Padm smiled and said, "I knew.... you were...alive. They....gave me... something." With those words Padme's eyes closed. Her head began to shift from side-to-side as if searching for something, in a frightened whisper she said, "Anakin.... I can't see you... Are you there?" The tears began to roll freely from Anakin's face as he said, "Yes, I'm here." He then concentrated on the force and sent Padme to sleep. If these were her last moments, they would not be filled with pain. Gently, Anakin lifted Padme onto the bad. With one last caress he turned around and walked out the door.

As he walked out he heard a groan. Not even bothering to turn his head he stretched out his hand and a traitor trooper was vicously pulled from the floor where he layed dying into Anakin's hand. As Anakin's hand slowly tightened his grip around the troopers neck he only snarled one question, "Where is the antidote?"

Aurra had quickly arrived at one of the docks on the Death Star and jumped into a pre-prepped shuttle that would take her to the ship Anakin had been determined to be on.

A few minutes later she docked with the ship and hopped out, lightsaber and blaster in hand. "The Jedi will die..."

Anakin leaned in close to the troopers helmet and said in a very quiet and clam voice, "Now, these are the last words you are going to hear in this life so listen well. The Supreme Chancellor of the Republic, which you used to serve, was given some sort of poison. If you tell me about the antidote to the poison I will make your passing easy. However, if you do not tell me about it, I will make you regret the day you were pulled out of that cloning vat. Understood?"

Aurra Sing began running down the halls as she sensed the Jedi Master in a particular quadrant of the ship; that and reports had said that he was trying to rescue the Chancellor - not that he had a chance.

Her four clone escort followed behind her with blasters drawn as she lead them to Anakin.

The trooper chocked out the words, "There is none." Anakin was silent for only a moment. Then he let go of the trooper, however the trooper was still suspeneded in the air. As Anakin began to walk back to Padme the trooper felt pressure begin to build on his body. An indescribable, inexblicable pressure. The pressure grew and grew until his right arm was crushed. The the trooper realized what was about to happen. His ribs began to cave in, blood filled his lungs. His pelvic bone snapped in two. Everywhere he was being squeezed. The troopers last thought before his head imploded was, 'Damned, jedi was right."

Anakin picked Padme up and ran to the infirmary. There were no clone troopers there so he negan his work. He had heard that a Jedi master had been able to use the force to change the molecular structure of various materials. Anakin had no idea what to do but he was going to something.

Anakin began to meditate over Padme, who lied on the cold medical table. The first thing he did was slow down the heart. The he began to concentrate on the poison.

Aurra Sing and her four clone trooper escort were receiving constant updates from the cameras and sensors aboard the ship, so when Anakin took Padme to the medbay, they altered their course slightly and were on their way.

"Get ready..." Aurra Sing called as she was now sprinting down the hallways. "Shoot the Chancellor first... I will keep the Jedi busy. After she is dead shoot the Jedi."

They would be there soon; no more than two minutes.

Anakin had been working for close to two minutes when he heard the clanking of clone troopers. Irratated by the disruption he used the force to close the door and lock it from the inside. Then he went back to work, it was hard, time consuming, and energy draining but he would do it.

When Aurra Sing saw the doors were locked and unopenable by the Clone Troopers, she quickly slashed through them with her lightsaber and was in within twenty seconds.

The clones began firing as they were instructed to do and Aurra readied her lightsaber and blaster for battle.

Anakin had been deep in trance, neutralizing the poison. He was concentrating on the poison so much he almost didn't notice the warning of the force. He reacted instantly turning around to face the door and bring his lightsaber to bear. The first few shots of the clonetroopers were off. Anakin knew they would quickly correct thier aim. He could have killed the 4 troopers quickly but their was the problem of Aurra Sing. He reached through the force and every medical tool in the sickbay flew through the air faster then the eye could blink.

As the tools of the medical bay flew through the air, Aurra Sing reacted with skill and leaped over them and hit the ground with her lightsaber ignited and ready for battle. Though the clone troopers weren't guided by the force, they immediately took evasive measures and scattered to the sides out of the way of the medical tools. A couple of the objects still hit them, but they bounced off the clone armor without much damage.

After the little ordeal was over, the clone troopers continued their attack from four side on Padme while Aurra Sing held her lightsaber in one hand and blaster in the other, ready to attack.

Damn it, the troopers weren't aiming at him, they were firing at Padme. The only reason she was still alive was that Anakin had been inbetween her and the door. One trooper had recieved a laser scapel in the throat and was choking on his own blood on the ground. The three other troopers were spreading out, soon Anakin would be flanked and not be able to protect Padme. He knew Aurra Sing was waiting for him to attack the troopers and open himself up. Anakin's mind raced for a solution.

Then he saw the large slab of metal that had been cut out from the door, Anakin knew what to do. He reached through the force and threw it towards Aurra Sing's back. Then while she dodged it he used force speed to run up to two of the clone troopers on his left and bisected them both and one powerful sweep of the lightsaber. Then guided by the force he threw the lightsaber behind him to kill the last remaining trooper.

It might have been an interesting move on Anakin's part, but it wouldn't work. Aurra felt the slab coming well before she would have been struck by it and was able to leap out of the way. Intentionally, her leap landed her next to Padme. While Anakin was doing a fancy move, killing the clone troopers, Aurra Sing raised her lightsaber to attack and brought it down upon the lying figure of the Chancellor.

As Anakin sent the lightsaber flying towards the last clone trooper he saw Aurra Sing standing over Padme with her lightsaber.

It was a memory that would haunt Anakin for the rest of his life, everything seemed to slow down. His spinning lightsaber, the smell of blaster fire and blood, the whirring of the airconditioning, and Aurra Sing's triumphant smile. It was all ingrained into Anakin's mind, a snapshot, a picture, a slow-motion movie of what is the most terrible moment of his life.

The green glow of her lightsaber began its slow, inexorable descent. Anakin could not look away even if he wanted to. The glow then began to disappear into the body of the woman he loved. A woman like no other, a woman that he would have done anything for, a woman that he would have died for. Then he felt it, the presence of Padme leave the force. The one constant in his life, was gone, in a sudden green flash.

His lightsaber returned to numb fingers. He felt numb, this couldn't be happening, he thought. Then that feeling of numbness changed into an anger. A anger that had been eating away at Anakin since the death of his mother. An anger at himself, a rage at the uncaring universe, and a loathing of the Force, that for all its vaunted power it could not do anything Anakin needed. But the one feeling that burned and ate at him the most was a feeling for revenge.

He brought his lightsaber up into the guard posistion, and quietly, calmly stated, "Defend Yourself."

Aurra Sing cackled triumphantly as she severed the body of the chancellor and at the same time the heart strings of the Jedi before her.

Now they were alone. The lights were flashing slowly with the alert signals for an intruder onboard (Anakin) but all else was quiet as Aurra and Anakin stood staring at the other with looks of hatred that could burn. "You couldn't save her you pathetic Jedi!" she spit. "And now you will die..."

She ran at the ireful Jedi with her lightsaber swinging through the air.

"Commander... " Sidious spoke, requesting the presence of his officer..

"Yes My Lord..."

"Bring the Station online, If Aurra Sing Fails, I will make sure Anakin Fails as well..."

"What are your orders My Lord..."

"Bring the Station online, and Target the Star Destroyer, Anakin and Aurra are on... This has gone too far now..."

"As you wish my Lord.."

The Usual gentle, quietness of the Station, broken only by the welding of construction droids, was now permiated by the hum of massive reactors...

Various lights across its surface now blinked on, and gun turrets became operational, swinging into action, tracking possible targets....

The Space dock slowly began to retract, as the Death Stars engines began to rotate it, to bring the massive super lazer to bear...

This was a Final solution to the Problem in Sidious's Side...

OOC: I believe the attack on the DS's location and the Separtist forces there can begin now. Whatever happens with Aurra and Skywalker can be done in fluid time (meaning we say it happens before the other people's posts despite us posting at the same time). We need to get other people back into this and able to post, so I think the invasion could be the key.

The final checks, double checks, and triple checks had been completed. It was go time.

"Activate forward thrusters!", Quinlan bellowed over the activity on the bridge. "Once we exit hyperspace, divert all power to shields, and be ready to launch all fighters."

The Hunter skyrocketed into hyperspace. The time had come, for the final battle between good and evil, winner take all...

Mace's ships were following Quinlan's, the main battle force deploying out to find and destroy the battle station that was causing anxiety and fears of future around the Jedi and Republic military. Aboard the Victory-class Star Destroyer Ossus, Windu watched as Quinlan's task force pulled away, then similarily gave his orders to go.

"You may initiate hyperengines when ready, commander."
"Will do, sir." replied the clone commander on the bridge of the Ossus.

The ships linked navigational computers to the battlecruiser's, all the ships flashing off in a burst of light into the swirling realm of hyperspace to face the Seperatist machine.

Yoda was busy meeting with foreign dignitaries from planets all across the galaxy and attempting to reassure them that the Republic was strong and safe, when he felt and noticed the fleets disappearing into hyperspace on their way to what should be a battle to end all battles.

"May the force be with you..."

Secura watched as Quinlan's and Master Windu's fleets jumped, they where followed quickly by Masters Unduli and Ti's fleets at this point an officer aprotched, "we are ready for hyperspace now General" he said. Secura gave the fleet the order to jump and along with the other masters, she and her fleet were headed to face off against the Dark Lords most powerful weapon...

The Intrepid finally came out of hyperspace. Aboard in the bridge Commander Bly put on his helmet while Captain Pellaeon commanded the men. They were going to drop down in the army HQ. Commander Bly had sent a message to General Secura that they had come. They entered Coruscant's atmosphere and sat down at the army HQ. Now they waited until they got orders to leave and General Secura came here.

Obi Wan was at the HQ with Commander Cody. They were going to have a fleet of 1 Venator-class Star Destroyer and two Acclamator Assault ships. The 7th Sky Corps was loading up in the two Acclamator Assault ships. Obi Wan looked at Cody.

"So are you ready for the mission? We might not make it out alive."

Cody replied "I'm always ready General Obi Wan"

Obi-Wan went into the Venator-class Star Destroyer and Cody went with his troops into a Acclamator Assault Ship. Once in the bridge of the SD Obi-Wan waited until Secura came and board the Intrepid. Then they would move toward Quinlan and finally the space station.

Obi-Wan jumped into hyperspace with Cody. His group was getting ready. This was going to be the finally battle. Obi-Wan looked at the space go past him. He gripped his lightsaber and sensed pain. Commander Cody appeared on screen.

"General Kenobi, are you ready for the finally battle."

"Yes Commander Cody."

They both looked at each other. They had grown a connection like Obi-Wan did to Anakin. Anakin Obi-Wan thought. I must save him.

Lt. Commander Pellaeon recieved the order from Secura and entered hyperspace. The other ships followed. He was suprised that he was now the temporary captain of this ship. Well he had Commander Bly to thank for that. Commander Bly faced Secura, then walked off to go get his men ready for the battle.

"General what is the mission?"

OOC: Wow... if the Clone Commanders don't know what the mission is only a few hours before the battle, and not just any battle but the final battle, then I would say the Republic is doomed.

OOC: Hey he just got there.

OOC: Bly should know the mission...as for Pellaeon, i will not accept your claim to his being a Captain, it has been only a few days at most sense the Battle of Bespin. he would not be given two promotions in one battle, as well, just because the Intrepids captain left, does not automaticly make Pellaeon a captain. he may be an acting captian however...

With his diplomatic meetings down for the day, Yoda decided to rest and meditate. No more flights carrying delegations from planets across the galaxy would be arriving until the next day and now Yoda could take a break from the busy work of reassuring them and keeping the Republic in order.

Eventually he would have to address the main body of a new senate... hopefully by then the darkness would be purged from the galaxy...

OOC: Since I don't know which system the DS is in, I'll just refer to it as the "DS system"

IC: The Republic fleet, led by Windu, burst into the DS system slightly before the rest of the Republic battlefleets. Still a ways out, the fleet reormed into a battle group and milled around for a few minutes. From the bridge of the Ossus, Mace reviewed the final order of battle.

"What can we gleen from the Seperatist fleet from here?"
"Well master Windu," the clone commander responded, "we're still some ways out from engaging distance from the Death Star and the Seperatist fleet. We don't have much for statistics at the moment, but our best guess is that their fleet slightly outnumbers our personal fleet. With the combined forces of Master Secura, Mundi,a nd Kenobi, we should have the advantage with numbers."
"Good, keep me informed on new information. And ready the starfighter squadrons, we should be engaging shortly."

OOC: its not realy the death star till you give it armor and its big load of Tubrolasers, Ion Cannons, Laser Cannons, hangers, sub-light and hyperdrive engions...right now it is more just a superlaser. (i might add that the DSII could fire much faster and recharge faster, this DS might not be even up to DSI levels yet, giving us a heavy advantage)

OOC: You are missing the point. You said he had a death star twenty years early, to which Nebarri responded with it isn't actually the DS. It is only a frame and superlaser - not twenty years early. Please do not get back into this argument.

ooc: I don't think it matters how cheap they are to replace at this moment... that generally isn't something you worry about when you are entering a no holds barred, battle royale that will end the war.

The Hunter jumped out of hyperspace near the location of the signal General Skywalker sent out. Swallowing, Quinlan and the bridge took in the view of the infamous Project: Hammertong. It was a skeletal frame, being worked on by numerous droids, and surrounded by the dreaded Seperatist armada.

The crewman (and Quinlan) were snapped out of their reverie when what seemed to be a swarm of starfighters belched out of Seperatist warships, encroaching menacingly on the Seperatists.

"By the Force...", Quinlan breathed, before roundign on the commanding officer. "Captain, did you reroute all power to hyperdrives?", he asked, warily keeping an eye on the starfighters steadily closing the distance.

"Yes sir", he snapped, "Do you have anymore orders?"

"Yes. Divert the Hunter's reactor output to its DBY-827 heavy dual turbolaser turrets, medium dual turbolaser cannons, and point-defense laser cannons, and prep the heavy proton torpedo tubes. Scramble the ARC-170's for defense."

"Yes sir. Shall I get yours ready?", he asked, as Quinlan walked out of the bridge.

"Yes", Quinlan replied, "But first, I have to do something."

It seemed like an eternity before Quinlan reached his room, breathless. Rifling through his cabinet, he fount a trigger. Staring at it, he pointed at himself and pressed it. A rather potent bomb, lodged god-knows-where in his body, was now activated. It had the explosive force of a Class-A thermal detonator. He had had it placed in his body before the start of the Clone Wars. It would be set off when his Kiffar heart stopped beating.

Quinlan sighed, and walked ut of his room. He let his mind wander, until he found himself back at the hangar. Clone and normal humans were standing by, waiting for him, staring anxiously at how their leader reacted to the ever growing swarm of starfighters. Forcing a false grin, the JEdi Master leaped into the cockpit of his Jedi Starfighter. As the rag-tag, but well-trained group of fighters lifted off, Quinlan bellowed into the comm something immortalized by Anakin Skywalker, making sure it was broadcast to all his wingmates: "This is where the fun begins!"

And so the battle was joined.

ooc: Mare Serenus (aka Skywalker) hasn't posted on NS in over a week, so I am going to temporarily take control of Anakin in order to end the duel with Aurra.

As Aurra moved in quickly with her lightsaber at the ready, Anakin's rage built up inside of him. He had just lost Padme; the only person that mattered in his life - she was gone, for now and forever...

With amazing and unmatched skill, Anakin dodged Aurra's first blow and swung heavily at her head, lopping it off with a clean cut directly through...

From the fleet under Windu, V-Wings and ARC-170s poured out from the Venator and Acclamator cruisers of the fleet, the Rendilli Dreadnoughts and Venators moving into attack formations as the first of the Seperatists fighters began closing in. Mace watched from the bridge of the Ossus as green lasers flailed from the leading V-Wing squadrons, red bolts exchanged from tri-fighters and Vultures.

Secura's fleet dropped out of hyperspace next...Seperatist forces where already moveing to engage her and the other Republic forces. imeriatly Secura gave here orders. "Shields up, weapons ready, and launch fighters. Pellaeon, you have the brige. Bly, come with me." with that Secura headed to the hanger as she prepared to enter the battle in her Eta-2...

Pellaeon took control while Bly followed Secura.

It was death in motion. In the vacuum of space, us were pitted against the lifeless, souless droids, machinations of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and that...abomination. When pitted against such overwhelmingly large odds, the outcome of such a battle would go to the Separtists forces.

But us, forged by relentless training, bitterly held on, led by the keepers of the peace, the heirs of over a millenia of faithful servitude to the Republic, the Jedi Knights. They fought for a better future, a better world, a world rid of a Sith Lord.

They knew...victory ensured the freedom of the galaxy, and the ushering in of a safe, secure, peaceful era. Defeat...there could be no defeat. Defeat meant the shadow of the Sith returning to haunt the unverse.

The the massive flurry of Seperatist warships and starfighters, Jedi Master Quinlan Vos expertly manuevered through them, blasting away at starfighters.

Quinlan activated his comlink, going to the Ossus frequency.

"General Windu, do you have a plan for the battle?"

ooc: Just hold on a little longer guys, when Kraven comes on MSN I will tell him to post his reaction to the fleets arriving.

OOC: Gotcha, DMG, just gotta relay Quinlan the battle plan...

IC: From the bridge of the Ossus, Mace heard Quinlan's comm and transmitted his orders back.

"We're going to try and breach their frontal defenses with the NTB-630 bombers and the Venators first, Quinlan, then bring in the Victorys and Dreadnoughts to encircle them from the outside."

After recieving orders from Windu's ship (OOC: Just assuming I hear what he tells Quinlan), the Imperator and the Victory-class ships were ordered to the back, as they all launched fighters. Many squadrons of TIE Starfighters exited the hangars of the Imperator, while many, many ARC-170s, V-wings, and Jedi Interceptors and Starfighters launched from the Victories and Venators. The Venators charged their shields and weaponry and forged ahead as Ki-Adi-Mundi's Jedi Interceptor launched from the Hoth near the lead squadron and prepared to strike hard into the forces of the Droid Fleet.

Commander Bacara was on the command bridge of the Imperator, with a holographic battle console ahead of him portraying the fleets as they closed on another. Mundi had ordered him to coordinate their starship forces as they moved in the final battle of the War

The Officer got up out if his kneeling position and headed off to perform the tasks that were asked of him...

Sidious was formulating a plan, he would escape the Death Star and leave this awfull system, then return with strength and power like none other....

as his shuttle was prepared, the Death star having spent the last few minutes slowly rotating around until it was in position to fire, began to charge the Lazer, capacitators began to run into overload as various reactors charged with power, one by one the red lights turned green informing the gunners that they were prepared to fire....

The Highest ranking officer watched the small Dreadnaught, well small in comparision to the immense size of the Death Star...

"You may fire when ready"

"Aye.."

The Various gunners began the count down sequence, pushing buttons and levers until finally, it was done...

A bright green flash eiminated from several points around the crater of the Super lazer, forming in the centre until, a larger central beam shot forward, striking the vessel Anakin, Pademe and Aurra Sing were on...

A few seconds passed as the lazer effortlessly cut through the thin alloys and shields of the vessel, Utterly annihilating it beyond comprehension, the sheer power of the weapon left nothing but a small cloud of super heated air that in the vacum of space, soon dissappeared...

Anakin... Pademe and the twins, Aurra Sing and over 100,000 Clones of the 501st Brigade had been annihilated at the touch of a switch...

Meanwhile, the rest of the Seperatists vessels remained, moving into position to defend the death star against the forces of the Republic, while at the same time, numerous vessels of the 501st and Sidious himself departed the system, leaving the Death star and the Speratists to fight the Republic...

The Deathstar how ever was primed, primed for self destruction should the republic choose to board anyone....

Instinctively, Quinlan knew it was none other then Palpatine. A coward to the end. He would finish him, once and for all. Even if he had to die trying. He owed that much to the Jedi, and to his child.

Calling up Ossus on the communications array, Quinlan said, "Master Windu, permission to withdraw my forces to track the retreating fleet's hyperspace vector and follow them?"

OOC: It isn't changing someone's force signature - it is creating the exact same one from person to person, or clone to clone to be more precise. Who is to say that clones don't have the same force signature? They are created from the exact same piece of genetical data. It would be the same amount of midi-chlorians and the same organization of them - not a thing different. (Sort of like when Luke senses the clones and notice they all seem the same - in the three books following the movies.)

However, this is quite a stupid argument in my mind and I will leave it at that.

The Seperatist Vessels formed into two distinct Groups, either side of the Death star, the Fleets began to close in on the Republics vessels, opening fire with various lazer banks, and turbo lazers, Ion Cannons errupted in a bright almost fireworks display like cascade of bright light, the Large vessels closed in while, the various Droid Fighters and the few manned fighters of the remaining 501st also joined the forray, streaking through the void of space towards the Republics forces...

The Death star was once again rotating, while its power relays began charging for a second super lazer attack....

Battle stations were alerted and the forces that were present on board rallied to their gun turrets and weapon platforms...

"No, Quinlan." responded Windu, "do not pursue that fleet. We need all the support we can to take down this weapon."

Mace did not secretly say that he wanted the power of the Imperator in the battle as well...

"Very well...Master Windu.", he said bitterly, before switching off the comm-link.

The Captain blinked. "Sir, that fleet will tear us apart!"

"We'll last longer against that fleet then that thing. We can't repel firepower of that magnitude. It took out a rather large ship with one blast! Imagine what it can do to us. Now, I want this Venator to accelerate to attack speed, and get it as close to that thing as we can without being torn to shreds."

"Sir!"

Quinlan then relayed Master Windu.

"Master Windu, we have to close in on them, or this battle we be over. Can I have support in this charge?"

"Transmission: Darth Sideous: Death Star: Requesting orders. In absence of orders withdrawing to Death Star. End Transmission."

As the orbiting fleet around Tatooine withdrew from the planetary mass, it jumped into hyperspace, soon to arrive at the battle.

The Seperatists knew that the Death Star was weakest to attacks made by fighters, and so the Sepertist fighter craft concentrated soley on making sure that the Republics fighters would not reach the death star...

The Dreadnaughts and other battle ships of the Seperatists continued their flanking manover, manovering their ships to the outer perimeters of the Republic Vessels, their intention to slice the enemy vessels up in a deadly cross fire of lazers and torpedoes, while the death stars few Lazer Defense turrets powered up, preparing to intercept and destroy any enemy torpedoes, or fighters...

Inside the Death star, the Reactors continued to charge, preparing to fire the main weapon, it was still a while away from firing again, but the Seperatists were relying on the Death Star to do its job...

Meanwhile, Sidious and his remaining Clones had long left the system, and were now bunny hoping their way across the galaxy, new plans already forming in Sidious's dark mind....

Anakin was dead, but that no longer mattered, Sidious was still alive, and to Sidious this counted the most...

OOC: You could basically come in on any side you want depending on how you calculated the lightspeed jumps. You could just jump in behind them, or jump past (and to the side) and come around from the back or side of the DS. Up to you.

"Captain,the Seperatists are attempting to flank us. I believe General Windu can handle himself; have the Dreadnaughts form up front, with the Victorys supporting them, and accelerate to attack speed. When we get within a a quarter parsec of of that thing, release fighters. That thing's probably built to take out captial ships, not fighters."

"Yes, sir."

With that, Quinlan's battle group proceeded to overwhelm and smash through a portion of the noose the Seperatists made to flank and barrage the Republic fleet, and began making their way to the superweapon. It was not long before the ships guarding it intercepted them.

"Sir?", the Captain asked. Quinlan thought for a moment, before replying, "Tell the Dreadnoughts to divert all powers to shields nd turbolaser batteries, and release their fighters, the Victorys to release their fighters and divert all power to quad turbolaser batteries and double turbolaser batteries... if the Seperatists close in, fire concussion missiles over the bow.

"And us, sir?"

"Us? I want us to direct all power to shielding, the DBY-827 heavy dual turbolaser turrets, medium dual turbolaser cannons, and the point-defense laser cannons. If the Seperatists close in, stand prepared to use the heavy proton torpedo tubes. Also, stand prepared to open the ventral hanger bays and fire the SPHA-T turbolaser cannons."

Location: Death Star System

As the two forces fought, the remains of the Honoghr Fleet jumped out of Hyperspace at the right of the Republic forces. 3273-B started enacting the Last Resort-012DS program. All on board starfighters were launched, sent toward the other Separatist forces to augment those. All power was sent to shield and Hyperdrive, and the Honoghr fleet jumped into hyperspace in the direction of the Republic Fleet.

IC: 3273-B was, as much as a droid could be, thankful for delayed programming, so that it could get off the ships before they jumped. It then headed in the direction of the Republics push, intending to stem it as much as possible.

Yes, if you jumped directly at another fleet (which is extremely hard as space is quite vast) then you would have the possibility of destroying some of their ships.

OOC: I would think that the built-in hyperdrive safety systems would prevent that kind of foul-up...since they are designed to totally avoid mass shadows, and when presented with one (like Interdictors), pull out of hyperspace.

OOC: But that is because they normally don't want to crash into one another. However, there is probably a way to turn them off or make it malfunction... (dunno)

OOC: Also, they don't have interdictors yet, so that don't matter much. It takes till the empire for them to get Interdictors. And I was under the assumption that droids made completely for Navigational purposes would be able to make a Hyperspace route pretty exact. Computers are amazing things, and I would be VERY suprised if with the AI levels they have they can't even get them to do Hyperspace routes. And as they were aiming AT the fleet, and not just in the general direction, I would be suprised if they could not hit the ships.

OOC: I was merely referring to Interdictors as reference to Mass Shadows (albeit artificially made). However, interdictors had been used a while back (the Leviathan was an interdictor craft in the Jedi Civil War).
Also, I'm not sure about this one, but I thought jump coordinates always just referred to pre-set, accounted-for systems and points...

OOC: Nope, for instance, Thrawn in Outbound Flight makes several jumps, just to get around the battle. Now, he is Thrawn, and it is the Chiss, but seeing as how they had apparently better Hyperdrives, it might just be that.

And in the same Outbound flight they mention that Interdictor like craft were in possible, but the Republic and even the Chiss didn't have them.

OOC: I would say that it might have been in production status at the time of this RP, but it would not have been in service.

IC: The small flotilla Master Windu had lended Quinlan, made some headway, but would need the whole fleet's support (which, most likely, would take some time with the introduction of all new forces).

They were managing to keep the smaller fighters at bay, but larger capital ships were attempting to press in. Seeing this, Quinlan yelled, "FIRE CONCUSSION MISSILES AND PROTON TORPEDOES!"

A barrage of projectile flew through the vastness of space, smashing into the encroaching capital ships, causing their shileds to ripple a silvery color, and in other cases, completely wink out. They quickly drew back, save one Banking Clan frigate. It came alongside Quinlan's Venator, intent on downing it. Despite damage taken from the inital barrage, the Captain was intent on killing some Republicans.

Perhaps the Captain should have set less lofty goals. Or, merely studied intelligence gathered over that fateful battle over Coruscant. That way, he wouldn't have been so surprised when heavy SPHA turbolaser cannons was relieved behind a ventral hangar bay door. And proceeded to blow the frigate out of the sky.

Quinlan's flagship fell behind the Victorys and Dreadnought, and proceeded to weave through the battle, never staying in one place.

OOC: Perhaps we should end this in the next couple of posts... it is taking forever.

IC: Despite superior tactics, Quinlan's small flotilla was being overwhelmed at all sides. Sirens wailed with every impact, and the shields gauges dropped. Then, a Victory exploded in a fiery blast, killing all aboard.

Yet, they perserved, and soon enough, the abomination was in range. "Alright", said Quinlan above the activity. "Regroup the fighter wings, and then retreat. I'll lead the strike team."

Minutes later, the flotilla turned around, and fled for the saftey of the Republic fleet. Quinlan, in a Jedi Interceptor, led a strike force of 250 assorted ARc-170's, Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptors, and V-wings, straight for the superweapon.

OOC: I'll try to accelerate this with any GMing.

Several republic ships were ripped to shreds as CIS ships collided in hyperspace. At the same time CIS ships appeared in the middle of the fleet, shooting all turbo-lasers at the Flag Ship.

Closer in to the Death Star 3723-B found several ships heading toward the Death Star, and put itself into a intercept course.

The CIS ships that had just jumped into the fray were now very vulnerable and surrounded. Though several Republic war vessels (and all the colliding CIS vessels, of course) had annihilated each other in a titanic explosion, there were many more to fill their spot. Victory cruisers and Venators bore down on the encircled Seperatist vessels, precise turbolaser barrages pinpointing shield generators, heavy cannons, and engine arrays, while closing NTB-630s and HAET-221 gunboats, escorted by Vulture-engaging V-Wings, fired in heavy salvos of heavy fire and torpedo barrages, blue proton torpedoes from the fighters and red concussion missiles from the cruisers smashing towards the enemy ships that had foolheartedly run straight into a gauntlet of death in the crossfire of missile weapons, turbolasers, and fighters.

After Sidious’s defeat in the great battle with the Death Star five years ago he has fled, into hiding he has found the Dark Jedi, leader of the Dark Force, and fallen Jedi Knight Kadann who has foreseen a chance to destroy the Jedi Order following this path he allies himself with the Mandalorian Spar. Kadann then heads to the planet Dathomir to meet Gethzerion, leader of the Nightsisters. Striking a deal with her, she helps Sidious get rid of the Jedi and he takes her of the planet. Gethzerion accepts Sidious then moves to retrieve the most dangerous weapons that is the Banished Chiss Thrawn. After taking the Nightsisters of Dathomir Kadann heads out to Nam Chorios speaks to the Dark Jedi Beldorian and Taselda and convinces them to join, then to gain a sizable fleet and army they frighten, steal from, manipulate, and buy what they can from the CIS, the Hapans, and the Ssi-Ruuk, and by this time Spar has gathered a number of Mandalorians to join the fight...

Mean while…

After the war with the Confederacy ended the Republic was weak, they needed the stability provided by the Jedi and the Moffs once the Senate regained order they decided to dissolve the Moffs power. Most stepped down, but some rebelled and launched several offences against the Senate controlled Republic. Fighting for years the Moffs where slowly pushed back. By 14 BBY only a few remained trying to hold on to their power...

As for the Jedi, they have continued their jobs as peacekeepers, fighting against the Moffs, searching for Sidious or sometimes just a normal Jedi job on some planet.

Nothing, at first. Then, small explosions blossomed, like a chain reaction. Then, it started to glow. It was sure to have a massive explosion.

Steering his ship to the other direction, Quinlan yelled into the comm link, "Master Windu, It's gonna blow! We have to get clear NOW!"

And as the assortment of V-wings and ARC-170's circled around the ship like wasps, firing lasers, ion cannons, and proton torpedoes, Quinlan beared down on the superweapon, firing repeatedly at it's reactor core with lasers, to no effect.

Lining up his shot, Quinlan fired a proton torpedo, and...

Nothing, at first. Then, small explosions blossomed, like a chain reaction. Then, it started to glow. It was sure to have a massive explosion.

Steering his ship to the other direction, Quinlan yelled into the comm link, "Master Windu, It's gonna blow! We have to get clear NOW!"

"Engage evasive manuver-034, fire ion and main battery. Transmission: Space Craft within 1500 meters. Converge on this: (Location) location. Destroy any republic craft you encounter. Priority 1: Jedi, Priority 2: Retreating ships. Priority 3: All other republic fighter craft. Orbit at 300 meters. End Transmission."

The ship dodged almost with the speed of a Jedi craft, getting hit often, but for the most part glancing blows on the shield. All the while it was firing its enourmous weaponry at the ships. It was being worn down, bit by bit, and could not keep this up much longer. The hail of ion fire, and the main cannon, was also wearing down the enemy, for as the guns were turrets, they could face in directions besides forwards. The supply of Chaff was quickly diminishing, but the floating hulks of dead republic fighters often got in the way.

The Explosion from the torpedo that struck the deathstar had exploded premerturely against a steel girder, preventing the reactor from being destroyed, the twisted remains of part of the superstructure began to collapse, drifting out into space...

Meanwhile however, the Capacitators had charged and already it had been several hours since the deathstar destroyed Anakin and Pademe in one fell swoop...

The Crewmen on board prep'd to fire, they targeted one of the larger Command Cruisers of the Republic...

Stood watching the battle unfold, The Commander held his hands behind his back...

"You may fire when ready..."


Lights blinked on and off, as the crew pressed buttons and pulled levers, targeteing one of the Victory Cruisers that had been identified as a Command vessel by the forces of Sidious, the large fighter cover and surrounding escorts was something most command vessels had and so made pinpointing the vessel easy...

The Systems were ready and with it came several bright green lazers that errupted from each side of the crater, before conversing on the centre, where the bright green lazer lept forth... destroying all in its path as it approached the Victory Cruiser of the Republic...

Annihilation was absolute...


The Commander quickly turned around, not waiting the inevitable destruction of the vessel...

"Charge the Capacitors, Ready for a second Volley..."

Officers snapped to attention, as the hum of charging capacitators began once more...

How on Earth can you say that the proton torpedo exploded prematurely against a steel girder? How on earth does a steel girder have small explosions blossoming all over it, then start to glow in anticipation to exploding?

OOC: Ok...I'm a little lost, but whatever...I thought the thing was dead. If it's not, then ignore this post.
Also, I don't think the Death Star has the power to fire it's superlaser every few seconds...not even DSII could do that, and this is before the FIRST DS, which took 24 hours...

The Superlaser fired, targeting a Victory cruiser, the ship blossoming in a violent explosion. Mace braced himself against the bridge girders as the shockwave slammed across his cruiser, as two CR-40 corvettes next to the Victory that exploded followed suit, the flame and shrapnel tearing apart the little ships.

"Damn it!" he cursed slightly to himself. "Quinlan, my group is tied up with the capital ships, finish off that battlestation!"

After sending the message to Vos, he turned his attention back to the Providence cruiser under attack from several dreadnoughts, calming himself as blue turbolasers streaked forth from the dreadnought cannons, Venators moving in to attack as well.

A few of the more targeted/smaller ships exploding(Remember all power went to shields and Hyperdrive, and only now a bit to engines to turn), but the majority remaining. OOC: From looking at your posts, I thought I was dealing with one ship, as you didn't say anything contrary to that, nor did you say it had any specifications to deal with 125 fighters, as the other half is with me. Next time I will remember your droid has the incredible power to best 125 fighters all on it's lonesome. Also, you never hinted at the mob of CIS ships that came out of nowhere. Also, I'm mildly pissed at the fact that Kraven had to extend this for no reason.

The hypering CIS ships didn't get far, slamming into nearby Republic ships. The pattern of the suicide attackers hadn't been good at all, several ships alone hitting one Victory, destroying the Victory cruiser at the cost of 1 Providence, 1 Munificient, and 3 Recusants. What a waste. Other CIS hyper-suiciders hadn't done much better, and only a small portion of Republic ships had been destroyed from the attack, only a few Jedi on board those ships. Mace was not concerned...he was not surprised to see the enemy trying desperation tactics now, in the death throes of the Death Star, hoping Quinlan found the way to destroy the thing fast.

Quinlan's squadron neared the behemoth. As they got closer, Quinlan realized something.

He was a Jedi.

He couldn't kill thousands in cold blood. There was another way.

"Everyone", he commed, "Fan out, and hit these points (Quinlan highlights various points of the superstructure of the Death Star, sends them to the pilots). This thing will collapse on itself in such a way, that there will be eonugh time to evacuate for those onboard. Not too mention, crush the reactor core."

A pause. Then, a pilot tentatively asked, "Sir...why?"

"Because we are the Republic, soldier, and we should spare as much life as possible."

With that, the battle group began to work cohesively to destabilize the superweapon, blasting away at points in the foundation.

OOC: Honestly BU, I am going with Kraven on this one. Your attack and statement that the DS was about to be destroyed was a GM.

Quinlan and his squadron expertly weaved through the laberynth of the Death Star superstructure. They were being cautious- a man had already collided with a stray piece of superstructure.

Quinlan's thoughts were interrrupted, as a key portion of the superstructure came up. Lining up their shots, they quickly reduced that portion of foundation to twisted metal...then, with a great lurch, the Death Star groaned, as more weight was pput on the remaining foundations, and pieces of the superstructures popped out and flew everywhere.

Quinlan, with the Force, juked out of the way, but others weren't so lucky. About 5 ships to be precise. Swallowing, the Jedi merely led his team onwards.

...I forgot...Right now, I'm studying for 2 quizzes, 1 test, 6 exams, and a WWII history project. I was pressed for time when I made that monster, so I'll be sure to fix that post up...after I go through every other thing.

OOC: From looking at your posts, I thought I was dealing with one ship, as you didn't say anything contrary to that, nor did you say it had any specifications to deal with 125 fighters, as the other half is with me. Next time I will remember your droid has the incredible power to best 125 fighters all on it's lonesome. Also, you never hinted at the mob of CIS ships that came out of nowhere.

OOC: Uh, I made a transmission to call them, you are kinda in the middle/back of a CIS fleet, they don't got to go very far. And um, it is SURVIVING, its would probably survive for about 20 more seconds, but when you have 125 ships on one fairly small target, they are either getting in each others way, or about 110 of them are hanging back at a time. It can kill groups of 5 easily with the amount of ion fire it has, and all the drifting ships are also getting in the way of the Republic. Think of the droid as a mobile turret on a capitol ship with not as long range, and while its not a perfectly accurate representation, it is close enough.

The hypering CIS ships didn't get far, slamming into nearby Republic ships. The pattern of the suicide attackers hadn't been good at all, several ships alone hitting one Victory, destroying the Victory cruiser at the cost of 1 Providence, 1 Munificient, and 3 Recusants. What a waste. Other CIS hyper-suiciders hadn't done much better, and only a small portion of Republic ships had been destroyed from the attack, only a few Jedi on board those ships. Mace was not concerned...he was not surprised to see the enemy trying desperation tactics now, in the death throes of the Death Star, hoping Quinlan found the way to destroy the thing fast.

OOC: Uh, I would believe that one ship would provide sufficient impact going at faster than light to rip right through, pretty much in half, or to the point of exploding, one ship. It wouldn't even have to be that big if you just wanted a hole in something. And while the first two might hit the same one, the following ones would hit ones farther out as its not gonna get stopped just by, like with the Death Star and the missiles, a couple girders that have been ripped to shreds. But seeing as I am going from scientific principles that might not work.

OOC: Be glad I acknowledged that at all...you wouldn't be able to hyper anyway in the midst of a hundred ships...your navi-comps just wouldn't allow it. Even if you did screw the comps, it still wouldn't work well at all. Also, impact with any mass object...even something small...would, inversely, tear a large, gaping hole through the hypering ship (ie asteroids, missiles, etc...)

Also, as for gun turrets...The 1st Death Star's turbolasers couldnt hit the x-wings, because the Death Star wasn't designed to take on small fighters. But yeah, I'll add some

The squadron promptly broke rank, scattering, trying to dodge the superstructures AND the droid fighters. Quinlan cursed as he saw three fighters on him, and promptly started to speed up...

OOC: Since this has been SO inactive, here's the last, long, long-awaited finale...

With a section of the Confederate fleet taken out by the suicide manuever, taking a good chunk out of the main Republic armada as well, Mace began to close the wedge of Republic warships on the weakening Seperatist lines. The Victorys and Venators led the charge, streaming across space under heavy fire from CIS warships, returning hails of blue turbolasers in a warm welcome. V-19s made quick runs on the Munificient-class cruisers heading the CIS spearhead, hitting critical external targets with torpedo fire while under attack from Vultures and Tri Fighters.

"Master Mundi!" hailed Mace to Mundi's command vessel. "Start flanking your fleet around the left gap opened up from that exploding star cruiser. Let's cut them into two flotillas and halt their advances."
"I copy, Master Windu." Mundi commed back.

Quinlan, meanwhile, was having problems of his own. Vulture droids were streaming down the Death Star's exhaust shafts at his speeding Jedi Fighter, and his wingmates were meeting grisly fates at the hands of fiery red laser blasts from the aggressive droids. Vos knew he had to escape the shaft quickly to have a hope of eluding the fighters...yet the core of the Death Star had yet to be blown.

"Master Windu!" Quinlan called over the comm, "I haven't got the fire to destroy the core! I've got to pull back!"

Static met Quinlan's request, and he momentarily took his eyes from the front to his comm channeler. That moment was all the droids needed. Seeing Quinlan's fighter momentarily straighten out, the Vultures took the advantage, streams of laser fire spewing across Quinlan's engine ports, the unshielded Jedi Fighter unable to hold its own defense. Quinlan had one last shot of his newly born child as his fighter was torn apart by an explosion in the bowels of the engines, the Jedi thrown through the cockpit into quick death in the airless vacuum of space as fiery debris scattered about. Quinlan's body explosively decompressed, the lack of oxygen providing no remains.
Mace had taken in Quinlan's communication, but had seen no fighter emerging after waiting five minutes. Fearing the worst, he prepared the back-up plan.

"Luminara." he called to the Jedi Master standing on the bridge near by. "It seems Quinlan has failed in his plan. We must take that station down. I need you to take a dispatch of as many avaliable Jedi as we have on hand to infiltrate and destroy that evil personally. I know it is a great risk, but I'm asking you to lead this assault. I'm needed with the fleet, and besides master Mundi, you are the ranking Jedi."
"It would be my pleasure." responded Luminara. "I'll head down to the briefing room immediately."

30 minutes later, bursting from the hanger of the Ossus, Luminara's green-trimmed Actis-Interceptor led a convoy of several other interceptors and several gunships towards the large station, clusters of V-Wings and ARC-170s clearing the way. Green laser bolts flashed through the air, CR-40 corvettes and Dreadnoughts moving in to interdict several blockading Recusant cruisers. Luminara's ship dodged and weaved past lasers, shooting down several Vultures with rapid-fire bursts before slipping back into the convoy.

"30 seconds to the main hanger bay." she called to the fighter formation, "once we're inside we need to quickly form up."

The hull cannons on the Death Star's surface began throwing up anti-fighter fire, red lasers pulsing out fire in light explosions that rocked the group. The ARCs moved in, torpedoes away as they entered in the hanger, the Jedi vessels right behind, one unfortunate gunship just meters away from landing when an errant laser blast caught it's rocket bay, the ordanance exploding like a fireworks display as the sides bulging out in explosion.
Luminara leaped from her fighter as ARC soldiers began climbing out of their gunships, heavy rifles ready. The rest of the Jedi quickly assembled-strangely enough, no resistance met them in the hanger.

"Let's move out." Luminara instructed, pointing to Shaak Ti, "Master Ti will take 30 of the Jedi while I take another 35. We'll go through the two jointing corridors from here and meet up in the core."

The two groups moved out, ARCs right behind them as the Jedi snaked down the rear hanger halls into the main infrastructure. Luminara's group met trouble right away. Two crab droids, hunkered down behind a pile of loose plating, slashed out with their heavy blasters, the red bolts cutting down a Jedi with quick ruthlessness.

"Let us handle it." one ARC clone motioned, two other clones loading anti-armor charges into their DC-17ms. The two clones rounded around, levelling their weapons at the Crab droids. One was cut down instantly, but the other ARC lobbed two explosives at the droids before he too was taken. Both droids exploded, their internal cores blasted, clearing the way for the Jedi and ARCs. The group continued forth, through the next door into a slightly larger clearing, with an open space an doverhead catwalks.

"Stay on your guard..." Luminara warned, just ahead of Super battle droids popping up, shooting out heavy fire down on the Jedi task force. The Republic group ran for cover, the ARCs covering their move while taking heavy fire themselves. The Supers were relentless, closing in on the Jedi quickly...too quickly. Moving close, the Supers left their flanks exposed, and the quick-thinking clones, slipping past the slow droids, had grenades out and thrown, EC detonators temporarily stunning the droids with electrical energy. It was all the Jedi needed; green and blue sabers flashing through metal carapaces.
Ti's group, meanwhile, was experiancing more difficulties. The group had initially proceeded far, nearly to the main core, but a sudden stand by B-1 droids had delayed them long enough for reinforcements to arrive. Now a seemingly endless line of Super droids and Octuptarras filed into the room, raining down fire and rockets on the huddled Jedi and ARCs. The clones, raising up to fire and manuever, were getting cut down like chickens in a slaughterhouse. Anti Armor fire had hit a few Octuptarras to inflict damage, but ammo was far from readily avaliable, and conserving ammo was becoming a neccessity for the elite soldiers.
The Republic fleet was scoring major hits, however. The Seperatist defense lines, crippled by the destruction of several Providence-class cruisers and the flagship of the fleet, the Geonosian dreadnought Pinnace, was relentlessly pounded by the Republic warships, the lone Imperator of the fleet leading the charge, the Ossus right behind. The space battle was going well...
Luminara's group finally found a breakout. Leaping on to the catwalks, eight Jedi set up a light advance, moving in on the assaulting Supers. The droids, now preoccupied with the real threat of the Jedi, missed the ARCs now pourinf down fire. The droids were taken by surprise, confused as which target to prioritize, and the Jedi closed in for the kill. The Jedi on the ground hit other droids in the room, and the Republic infiltrators were back on the move again. Resistance still seemed surprisingly light...odd, indeed, even in the central core area. Luminara couldn't believe the fortunes, but decided it was time to take the warstation down.

"Set a charge on each of the four power spokes into the main core." she told the surviving ARCs and Jedi. "the combined explosion will set off a delayed chain reaction that will give us twenty minutes to reach the hanger and get out of range of the explosion."

Shaak Ti's group had no more hope for survival, pinned down by fire and droids moving in on all fronts. Allie herself looked around for any help as another clone screamed, going down right before her as two Supers moved in. Ti jumped up, slashing through the droids, and spotting the last two Jedi in her group back-to-back, desperately trying to fend off the endless wave of droids that pounded them. Shaak sprinted over to provide aid, but it was too late for her Jedi speed. A well-placed rocket, eluding the notice of the two frantic Jedi, exploded at their feet, knocking the pair down. Supers were on them in a flash, pouring lasers down into their trembling figures, the Jedi writhing in pain as the Supers efficiently carried out their exterminations. Ti hacked through the droids, turning just as a bolt from an Octuptarra caught her right collarbone, the pain so intense she fell over, the droids closing in an instant. The last things Ti noticed were the screaming of the dying Jedi next to her, and the Super battle droid's wrist laser cocked right in her face, a red wave encompassing her vision before all was gone.

"Alright, that's the last of the charges, it's time to go." Luminara reported to the group. "We have twenty minutes to return to the hanger bay."

OOC: i don't know what a CR40 corvette is, just wondering if you mean a CR90, i do think Quinlan has a bomb in his body set to go off if he dies. and on a side note, i was hopeing Stass Allie would not die(i thought Shaak Ti was on the mission not Allie btw)

A CR40 corvette is like the cruiser seen in TPM, only refitted with turbolaser cannons and lasers to serve as a light attack cruiser. They were used with moderate frequency in the Clone Wars.
I can add somethig about the bomb as well.

"There!" Luminara cried out as she sprinted down one of the numerous corridors in the Death Star. She was being followed by many other Jedi as well as some Commando Clone Troopers that had been brought along. Past Luminara's outstretched finger there was an open metal door, and beyond that... the hangar bay.

The Jedi were only fifty or so feet away from making it to safety... when it all went wrong. The door to the hangar bay slammed shut with the sound of a magnetic lock sealing it closed. The Jedi stopped, surprised, just in time to swing around and see the door behind them slam closed. There was no going forward and no going back - they were trapped.

Doors to rooms on the side opened up and a hail of blaster fire ripped out of them. Inside stood Droidekas, - shields up and guns blazing - Battle Droids, and Super Battle Droids. The Jedi's force improved reflexes reacted quickly, raising their lightsabers to block the torrent of blaster fire, but the ambush was too great. They were being attacked from all sides and more of the party was falling...

And then the sound of an explosion echoed through the corridor. They were too late. The twenty minutes were up and the explosives were taking their toll on the battlestation. Soon they would be engulfed in flames and the Death Star would collapse in on itself. The Jedi were trapped and would surely die... but their mission had been a success.

The Republic had won...
