Turmoil in Space Union: the OOC Thread

Alright, seeing that the IC thread ("Sorantanali to Mann: No talks if Space Union goes ACist") is being cluttered with OOC posts, I've decided to make an OOC thread seeing that this will turn out to be a major IC RP at least.

Also, link to original thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=462817).

Damn, I was about to post a article with Harsimran resigning but then I saw you guys were having so much fun, so I thought lets see how things go from here. And since Doom said he might send some SF's over, it might be fun to have a little SF RP. :) What do you guys think?

Why did you delete that post SU? It gave a nice conclusion to all of this.

Well I thought it was a little too quick to just pick which I option I wanted to use: 1) Go for a peaceful resolve 2) Have a nice civil war. I stilll have the post so when I make up my mind (which is right now conflicting) I'll just repost that.

The Northern Part.

OOC: I've got to decide more on how McKagan views this, but y'know, CODEX probably would want to advance SWC interests in the area...

I replied in the thread. I decided that a war RP would be fun since it would be way too lopsided. But I would like to ask if some of the nation's would like to be witnesses (like Pacitalia and Sarzonia since Harsimran directly opposed and directed his comments at them). Crimes Against the Nation trial is going to be an interesting RP, if I may say and a bit origional.

SU, i've got an idea. Avalt Security, Incorporated, from McKagan, is a quickly growing company. Now because you're in the SWC, the McKagan government wouldn't want to see your industry go to 0% because that's bad for business. What i'm proposing is that ASI buys majority stock (or the company all together) for several of your main industry things. If you allow that, they'd pour all the funds they could into keeping them afloat, and keeping your military (and domestic) production capability alive.

Although it sounds interesting, I'm going to have to decline seeing as I want this to be an interesting RP that shows the character of Satpul and how average Space Union citizens try to overcome their limitations. :)

Well in that case we could just have the economy collapse BEFORE ASI comes in, and then ASI has alot more work to do and the recovery is alot harder. If that happened it would take a long time to do recover, in any case.

I'm not really interested in the concept. Sorry, though. :(

Red Tide; AbsoCap did not cause the fall of SUs economy - it was the abrupt change to AbsoCap, and then the VERY sudden return to the previous system. No time allowed for a gradual transition - consequences are obvious.

OOC:I realise that... I guess I worded my news report badly. Sorry if it wasnt clear enough. Want me to edit it?

[OOC: No, it's fine, although misleading - but it's fine, should provide some sort of conflict point in the future (in terms of misinformation being considered as fact and that sort of stuff).]

Heh, I dont really see a conflict with you. My nation has a pretty good political respect for yours.

OOC: Mac, I'm going to RP my gov taking your plan into consideration, but the next major event will be the Stock Exchange will crash as it triggers the collapse of the Space Union economy and beginning of the Union Depression or some thing by that name I've yet to figure out. This way we can see some conflicting ideas in the country. ;)

OOC:Maybe one of the triggers will be the Tech-Com Corporation CEOs talk about withdrawing investment from Space Union?

Oh no, I was referring to a conflict of ideas - since I claim that AbsoCap has nothing to do directly with the collapse, but your article is slightly misguiding on that - so it provides some interesting conflict of words.
