Id be interested what are the tech restrictions?

I'm interested in this.

The tech is loosly 2006ish tech.

EDIT: There's a tech forum, to post your stuff in. The tech mods, (mostly The Golden Throne) will either approve it or tell what needs revision. We try to stick to what is in service, or will be within the next 5 years with real world militaries. That way its not too strict, and you can freely make your own tech, but still not too far out either.

I'm new to on-line RP but not to RP in general.....D&D, D20Modern, various White Wolf products, etc. In short, If there's room, I'd be glad to join....I'm not militaristic by nature, so just inquiring as to the number of wars people are likely to declare....if there's a slot for a small nation, I'll take it gladly.

We welcome all nations, the land is devided up into little plots that cost a certain number of points (points determined by your population based on a scale we have). People on E6, for the most part, say their gonna kick your ass, and make three posts, and then withdraw.

Bump--This is for anyone to join, we keep it real, a good deal of land is still open. Any nation can claim whatever they want within reason. This is especially good if you prefer a smaller community of roleplayers, or perhaps are just getting used to the idea of roleplaying in general (our roleplayers vary in skill from rather dull to novel-writers.)

Answered on E6--but I'm reposting for everyone here to see.

It's active, and filling up pretty fast. We use a mix of modern real-life equipment, old Cold War-era stuff, and most of the same stuff that the II forums use (although less tolerant of 2020 tech). Also, we use 1/10th of our NS populations (2 billion becomes 200 million) to preserve realism on an Earth-sized map.

So, I figured I'd need a creative way to get this thread back to the top. See, I was playing bumper cars one day, and then I sideswiped a golf cart....

I might be interested in this. How dedicated to realism are you and the other mods? I noticed Mac's not on the mod list any more, so I'm a bit leery about roleplaying in this.

He's not on the mod list anymore because...well, last I heard, he's in the army.

We are all dedicated to a high degree of realism. Although we let ridiculous populations slide by because there's no alternative (cutting populations was a total flop), we do our utmost to enforce realism as much as possible. As an armchair general I am usually good at moderating wars and have a generally good understanding of what's going on, at least on the ground, and to a lesser extent, air and naval combat. Aang is the map man and also does a lot of moddy stuff on the board. Truitt is the last Mod we have, he's good at air and naval stuff, less so with ground but not a bad source of advice anyway.

E6 is like Zombie Earth, it just can't die, even when it needs to.

Unlike the other RP's (which I am regretful to say) E6 has dedication, and never dies. Then again, EAV has been along almost as long as E6, and both still have members who come by and RP from time to time.

Though, with the recent kick-up on E6, we should be having plenty of activity.

Yeah, come on down. As far as I know, AV was slow but not dead...goal is to bring back the good old days of E6 though. Not that glorious.

Come on people: Give us a shot! You will have a good time if you just stop on by and RP with us for awhile. Become a member of a site in which we all know your name, and you are not a miniscule guppy in an ocean of sharks on Jolt, but rather, a nice size bass in a decent sized lake.

I just joined both the NS forums and Earth six forum, so im gonna need some help. How do i set my claim on a territory. I've read the instructions on the boards, but i see thing like points and all that. Help anyone?

This is well...another bump. But just a kind notification that the RP has done another restart, and we are back to old school E6 - full populations, technology, everything.

This is modern tech. Officially the rule is "2005 loose" but it's modern tech. There's a few minor things we're less likely to accept on E6 than on Jolt (fewer railguns, no Ortillery, nothing nuclear bigger than tactical - and at that, all must approve).

It's in desperate need of an update - which I'll do right now. Right now, everybody's free to claim whatever they please. Just post in the claims thread what you'd like, and I'll approve it, and you're free to start RPing.

We may restart RolePlay Elementary for those who are newer to RPing to get everyone's feet in the door.

I'd like to bring up this post again, to see if there's still any general interest in an offsite rp. The land is filling up quite quickly and we're encouraging everyone, especially newer members to join.

Wow earth 6 is still going huh? I remember roleplaying there with a nation that died long ago...(in '05 i think).

Anyway, i would be very interested in making a claim there with my new nation (always prefered roleplaying on earths rather than just jolt forums)... shall i just head straight over to your forum and claim?
