By 2008 the curtain fell and the corruption inside the Russian Federation government showed its true face. Even before that everybody knew that Russia was not a nation there you would find government officials loyal to the government but nevertheless the scale of reality shocked everyone who was concerned. The shock was also amplified by the fact that slowly but surely Russian people started believing in their government, in 2006 alone the number of people trying to move out of the nation was cut in over a half. Nationalism was growing, oil was flowing, military was building up, Putin was the president. Then in 2008 the president of Russian Federation made a speech that set the nation down the path for another catastrophic depression of the population. In 2008 Mr. Putin told everything. Everything about how during both Chechen wars the government was supporting the rebels, about how the government was responsible for building explosions all through the nation, about how the high military officials intentionally were sending Russian soldiers into ambushes, sacrafising thousands of lives. The reason for all of this? Money, they exchanged blood of Russian soldiers for the money they were getting from personally selling weapons to the terrorists. It went deeper then anyone could have thought. Puting himself was involved, the only reason for his confession was because he was about to fall into the grave he dug for himself, somebody who wanted his spot poisoned him, he had only several hours left to live. It was a conspiracy against Russian people by their own government. The civil unrest that followed ended up in deaths of over 2 million people, the government buildings were stormed and torn down by the angry populace. Most of the Duma was massacred, the mob did not make distinctions between who was corrupt and who wasn't, in their eyes everybody who was involved with the government was a pig to be slaughtered without mercy. The nation plunged into endless chaos, it was 1917 all over again, strong takes from the weak human interpretation of animal nature at its worst. The foreign countries could not interfere, their hands were tied, Russia still controlled enough nuclear missiles to wipe the world out, the trigger was switching hands about 2 a week but each time the hands that held the trigger were against foreign intervention. One year passed and another began, and then suddenly it all stopped, just simply stopped, everybody dropped what they were doing and became glued to the closest television screen they could find. The transmission was short and the quality was not the best, but finally after a year of struggles where was a light at the end of the tunnel. Alexander Markov was that light. Born in 1968 in back then Leningrad, Markov was one of the last surviving members of Duma, unlike most of his dead coworkers he was uncorrupt, he was a patriot. He served in Afghanistan and in both Chechen wars he had both the Hero of Soviet Union and Hero of Russian Federation medals. Once the unrest begun he was one of the few people who attempted to bring order back, he became a leader of a military group called "Bratia", it began as him and half a douzen of his old army friends all armed with hunting rifles trying to bring order to a number of villages outside of St.Petersburg. The group grew fast and by the end of the year it numbered over 10000 soldiers, had its own developed infrastructure and controlled a wide array of weaponry taken from the Russian arsenals. Markov lead his army to Moscow, they easily took over the city, but holding it was hard small rival groups were all over the place and every day several men of Markov's army would end up dying in the bloody urban battles in the streets of the capitol city. Seeing that he needs to find a way out of this mess Markov decided that the only way to be victorious is to convince the nation that he is on their side. All the media was taken down in the first few months of the unrest, it was not hard for Markov's men to take controll of the Ostankino tower that could transmit footage to all of Moscow and far outside it. His message was simple, he spoke about the Russian people and what they were and what they stood for, he spoke of the fathers and sons leaving their homes to go fight the Nazism, he told of the hardships his nation his gone through, he told of all the blood needlessly spilled, he told about how Russians are a proud people, how they have always overcome their adversary. His speech was short but it worked, most in Moscow lay down their arms, the rest were put arrested and tried by the court of law. Markov's speech then swept the nation, from west to east his voice could be heard on the radio and television sets, from west to east people were laying down their arms and choosing to live rather then survive. Two years have passed and the Russian Federation has held nationwide elections for the new government. Markov won the presidency after receiving 84 percent of the vote. The nation was now relatively calm but Markov still had a lot of work to do. He has took measures for enforcement of anti-corruption laws, he reorganized the army hierarchy, he made all the wrongs right. By 2013 Russian Federation was ready to face the world. The new system allowed Russian economy to rise quicker then ever before since billions of rubles coming from the energy trade were not lost due to the corruption. The quality of life grew, technological research grew. Today Russia is a nation that can stand up to any power on earth.
