Presidential meeting [MWS]

Two men walked down the rubble path in the city park, followed by four men in dark suits and red ties. The president, walking on the left side, obviously had many years behind himself. Janne Kallioniemi had become the president when he was 39 and now, after 9 years of presidency he is much weaker looking than when he started. His eyes are full of fire and loyalty to his cause.
The prime minister however is young and on his first term, eager to help the president in the cause of helping Finland.
The conversation shall be translated for linguistic reasons.
"Turku has been converted to be the capital and swedish language is voluntary in schools, what else can you demand?" the other man asked and the president next to the prime minister chuckled.
"I can demand many things, my dear friend, but now the only thing I demand is a good arms deal for next year and for this year's shipments to hurry. If we can mobilize over 60% of our military in a week when the situation calls for it, I am happy. In my last terms as a president, I have corrected all of the mistakes that Koivisto, Ahtisaari and Halonen did by making the power of the President less than it should. By resigning from the EU, Finland proved that it can handle on it's own economically" The president said and stopped to see the minister next to him.
"I trust you to speak with the parliament about the mobilization issue and the Karelia/Petsamo issue. I'll be flying to Russia the day after tomorrow and I need them to back me up on it" he contined before nodding to a man that led the group. The man then called the president's car to get to the east gate ASAP.
"You are a madman, Mr. President" the prime minister said and shook the hand of the president before continuing. "But you are a damn good president and have helluva big balls, that's for sure"
"Thank you, Juhani. Remember me to send you a gift basket for christmas" the president said and smiled warmly. The men then walked into different ways.
The president stepped into his black limousine with the Finnish lion painted on all doors and the Finnish Flag flying in the small poles on the sides of the hood of the car. The secretary of the president was already in the limousine and the door closed, the car starting to move.
"What is the situation with the trip to Russia?" the president asked and the secretary opened her laptop. After a couple of button pushes, the secetary was looking at the travel plan.
"The plane leaves at 11am and arrives just in time for you to be transported over to Kreml for your appointment with the president. You have three hours with him and then you'll be transported back to the plain and fly back here"
"So I have three hours to speak with him about the Karelia/Petsamo matter?"
"Yes, Mr. President"
"Hmm... Order partial mobilization of our military and hurry the ammunition shipments. If we can't make a deal, we'll have to push the Russians to comply"
"Shall I order the mobilization tonight?"
"No, order it as soon as we get to Turku. I need some of our reserve to be in for rehersals by the day after tomorrow"
"Yes, Mr. President"
"Is our fleet ready?"
"Not yet, sir. The last three cruisers will be tested thursday and I would expect them to be ready for action by next week"
"But the other 12 ships are ready?"
"Yes, Mr. President"
"Good... Give the order for them to move to Kotka as soon as they can"
"Yes, Mr. President"
The black limo continued it's way towads the train station, where the armored train of the president waited to take him back to Turku. Prsident Kallioniemi looked out of the dimmed window as the police escort cleared way throught the normal Helsinki traffic. Some of the citizens waved, some just looked at the car in amazement. The president liked to see the Finnish people in their chores
Alexander extended his hand as the Finnish President walked into one of the wider conferenss rooms inside Kremlin. Both leaders shook hands and Alexander showed his guest to a seat in a comfortable leather chair behind a small oval table in the middle of the room. Alexander smiled and spoke in almost pure English. (i assume your guy knows english)
Alexander: I took a liberty of getting us both some tea. I always drink tea in the morning, its an old habit of mine i can't get rid of it. It all started when i was back in Afghanistan, my rota was assigned in protection of an artillery battery, every time our artillery had a succesful hit on an enemy position me and my buddies drank a cup of tea. Russian tea gives you twice as much energy as Brazilian coffee, and is three times as addictive.
A servant walked into the room carrying a wide silver plate with a long teapot, two cups and a stack of 20 cubes of sugar arranged in a pyramid in the middle of the plate as well as two silver spoons and a flask of milk. Alexander poured his guest some tea, then did the same to himself, he dropped a cube of sugar into his cup and started swirling it around with his spoon. He then looked straight into Kallioniemi's face.
Alexander: So, to what do i owe this pleasure?

The president dropped two cubes of sugar into hs tea and stirred it slowly. "The old issue about the ownership of Karelia and Petsamo has arisen in the cabinet. The Finnish government is urging me to negotiate with you about the matter" he explaines and took a sip of his tea.
"After USSR fell, the Finnish government let you have Karelia and Petsamo, but the situation has changed. We want the old boarder back" he said and leaned a bit back in the chair, taking another sip.
The secretary that had followed President Kallioniemi walked overto him and whispered something to him. "Allright. Get them ready" he said in finnish and the secretary walked out of the room to handle some business. The president turned back to see Alexander
Alexander: Hmm...this is an old issue indeed. However we do not feel that we should surrender land that was owned by the Finnish government only about 20 years, if you remember those lands were parts of the Russian Empire at one point. Either way, my answer is of course no. It is a part of Russian Federation and we are a sovereign nation, we will not surrender our land under any cicrumstances. Is this the only reason for your visit?

"If we start going with who has had territories and for how long, I would say that the whole european Russia should be turned over to Vikings" he noted and set the tea cup down on the table. "Karelia and Petsamo have been a part of Finland since the Czar gave Finland autonomy in 1808, so that would technically make it over 210 years, Alexander. I have read my homework, and I have read them well. Karelia and Petsamo belong to the Finnish nation, whatever your bureucratic little mind keeps telling you. The areas shall be turned over to Finland one way or another, even if it would mean war" he said with a cool voice, leaning back in his chair. "The Finnish nation no longer is undermanned compared to the Russian military. We have held more than a million of soviet troops pinned down before, and we will do it this time too, and we will get our old boarders back whatever you say"
"If you came here to make threats then i suggest you leave. If you want war then where will be war. Just remember what happened to every scandinavian nation that tried to lay claim to Russian land. If you're refering to what happened in the World War II, then i might have to remind you that it wasn't Finnish troops that slowed the advance of the armies of the Soviet Union, it was the depth of Finnish swamps, and in the end Soviet Union still got what it wanted. Now you are saying that you will attempt to attack a nation that is right now at the doorstep of a global superpower status. Just remember who you are relying on for a fair share of your energy resources, we will have no trouble what so ever shutting down our transfers to you and to any other nation in Europe that will choose to support your ridiculus imperialistic claims. If the Finnish government can not keep a cool head and will continue to lay claims to land that is not their own, then we will be forced to take military action. Your threats are empty, we are not afraid of war we know we are going to win. You are in over your head. Either way if i hear one more insult out of you i will have my bodyguards escort you out of the building. Am i understood?"

"So be it. I came here, expecting for a political and friendly negotiation of giving us the land that rightfully belongs to us. You shall hear from us again, Alexander, and when you hear from us again, you better be prepared for we shall come to the continuation war boarder and beyond" he said, rising up and walking from the room, his footsteps echoing as the door opened for him to go throught. The door slammed closed behind him and the secretary looked at the president. "Begin operation Murmansk" he whispered in Finnish to the secretary as they walked down the hallway, the presiden't bodyguards joining them and leading them to a black limo. The limo soon after drove off.
The president hit his fist against his wooden table and looked at the pile of newspapers infront of him a couple of days later. His secretary came in and looked at him with raised eyebrows. "What is it Mr. President?" he asked and Kallioniemi read the headline to her.
"Finland in chrisis, Finland under the threath of a war, Presidential meeting gone wrong... How did the papers get info this fast?" he asked and looked over at the door.
"Russians?"
"May be, but I won't start pointing fingers without a reliable source. Get SUOPO under it immediately. Arrange a special meeting of the cabinet. I have something to say to them. Tell the Minister of Foreign affairs to warn other nations that if a war breaks out in Scandinavia, it is between Finland and Russia and we don't want anyone else involved in it unless a nuclear explosion takes place... And get the prime minister on the phone"
"Yes, Mr. President"
President Kallioniemi sat back on his leather chair and sighed. He knew Russia still had nuclear weapons, which were banned by international laws years ago. He just hoped that the Russian wouldn't use the nuclear weapons because of the Finnish people that would get killed... However, if the Russians would use weapons of mass destruction, the allies of the Russians would grow thin very quickly.
The president turned the chair around and looked out of the window and at the beautiful scenery of Naantali and the gardens of Kultaranta
Krueger read "Kampf" of this day, and snorted. "Slav dogs, and their twisted minds. I'm getting tired to Russia. Ah, I would so love to see their doom! Hans, I dictate you message to sent to their medias. Ahem..
"DRR is wondering selfishness of Federation. It is clear that Karelia and Petsamo are part of Finland, not Russian Federation.
We recommend you to return these land areas to Finland, they do not belong to you, they belonged to CCCP. AFter they fell, land areas should be returned to their true owners, in the name of freedom and justice in world.
Regards,
Führer Adolf Krueger
Official Message of Russian Federation government to the world
It seems today that a threat of war between the Russian Federation and Finland is imminent. We would like it to be known to the global community that we were not the ones who started this conflict but we will be the ones who end it. Nation of Finland through misguided logic claimed the Russian areas of Korelia and Petsamo as their own. Those lands have been a part of the Russian Federation since the fall of USSR and been with Russian people long before that. Korelia was conquered by Novgorod in 1278, it was only later in 1323 that Korelia split into two because of military actions by Sweden and still Eastern Korelia was Russian. When in 1721 Russia gained back control over that region. The area split again in 1920, but the Eastern part once again remained Russian. That was the same year then Petsamo became Finnish. In 1940 Korelia and Petsamo went back to Russia. Finland expects us to give them back land that they owned for 20 years because of the German military actions during WWI. This is simply ridiculus. A whole new generation of Russians has already lived their lifetime out on that land and a new generation followed them. They are our lands, ours and no one elses. We will disregard any global criticism since we have the moral high ground in the matter there Finland wants war simply because they wish to reclaim land that is no longer theirs and was only theirs for a short period of time. Finland does not have any problem with having the status of an aggressor nation. We are now cutting off our natural gas and oil supplies to Finland in attempt to put some rationality back into minds of their leaders. Either way, we urge the global community to condemn the unprovoked agression from the side of Finland. We will protect our land and our people, but we wish to spare lives of our enemies, Finland is trying to start a war it can not possibly win. This is madness, madness that purhapse can be stopped by pressure of global community.
President of Russian Federation,
Alexader Markov
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Russian natural gas and crude oil stropped flowing through to Finland. Since Finland was completely reliant on Russia for all of its natural gas and a lot of its oil it was now in trouble.
OOC: Did some reasearch on the topic, you were wrong about the whole Korelia and Petsamo being Finnish thing.
To The Pushka Government
From the Desk of Head of Forces Clovian Andrew
The Government of Pushka once again has the full support of the nation of Turetel. We stood by your side when you became a renewed nation and we will stand by your side as you rightfully defend your land from the aggresions of a foriegn nation. You also have the full support of the 18,000 Turetelian Forces stationed inside your nation for training, which you still have graciously continued.
In turn we demand that the Aggressor step down in this conflict. Although this may be a tough feat for the nation to do as war seems ready to break out. It can only be said that through diplomacy can we attain a lasting peace and logical agreement, as so many wars have, especially over land, has caused great hardships and oppresions for not only the nations, but the innocent civilians of either side.
Once again, Pushka, you have our full-pledged support.

OOC: Turetel, this is an MWS RP. If you want to express your support to Pushka, you should join MWS first
IC: An army chopper landed on the helipad near Kultaranta and four men stepped out of it. Two guards came out to meet them and then led them into the castle.
One of the guards came inside the presiden't office after knocking and saluted. "Mr. President, the generals are here with Mr. Jaakkola, the head of SUOPO"
"Let them in" the president replied and stood up. The guard walked back outside and shortly after he left, the four men came inside. The president shook everyones hand and closed the door.
"Reports, gentlemen, and they better be good"
"Mr. President, the army has started extra rehersals for the jaegers and we're hurrying up with the transportations of ammo and supplies to the border patrol"
"The air force is fueled and ready, Mr. President. You just need to give us the sign"
"Mr. President, the navy has started extra rehersals and the old ships are being modernized and repaired for future use. We also have the docks working on a new design of submarines"
"Gentlemen, what can we do about Russia's oil and gas embargo?"
"Not much, I am afraid" the SUOPO official said, standing up. "Mr. President, if I might say, the only way that we can continue our current ecomonical situation, we must get oil and gas from somewhere else"
"Norway has plenty of oil and we can get oil and gas from Europe throught Estonia"
"Maybe, but all that rerouting will take weeks, months... maybe even years if there needs to be a new pipe built just because of our needs"
"Jaakkola, I have ministers to make it happen. Give me info on that leak to the press and if any hostilities happen on the border by the Russians, I need to know about it immediately. You may go"
The generals stood up and saluted once more before they left. Jaakkola did the same and left after the generals, closing the door after himself.

Official message from the Finnish Republic to the nations of the world
The Finnish government would like to inform the international community that if a war does break out between Russian Federation and the Republic of Finland, we will not request for help on the battlefield. We urge you to stay from the war, as we are only claiming back what should be ours. However, if you attack Russia because you want to help the Republic of Finland, we cannot stop you, but we cannot help you either
Teppo Saarela
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Republic of Finland
OOC: Aight so Korelia and Petosamo don't belong to Finland, we have that clear now, what is the motivation for your actions then? Anyways, also cutting natural gas supplies off in the middle of winter would make your citizens very cold and unhappy i am sure there'd be some sort of political opposition to your president's irrational decision of going to war with RF. Just a few points i felt like saying.
@Turetel: He is right you have to join in with MWS, go ahead and do it, it seems like fun.
IC:
Alexander has just moved to a secure bunker in an undisclosed location. In the room with him was the high command of the Russian armed forces. Today they would discuss war.
Alexander: Lets begin with our VNS (Ground Forces), Marshall Hrebkov what is happening right now?
Hrebkov: We have 3 full armies in the immediate range of the region, we will be able to move them in a day or three no problem. 3rd and 5th Gvardias can be where in a week in full force if we start moving them in right now. The logisitical supply centers in that region need to be increased if we are going to have 5 armies in the region. I suggest pulling supplies from defense okrug 4, and use the RR army to transport the supplies, that way we should be good and secure. I also suggest we pull the BP units back, they won't do any good in an attack by an actual army and i don't see a reason for sacrafising their lifes. They can join the ANZ units stationed in the ubran centers close to the Finnish border and in an unlikely case of us retreating will be able to wage guerilla warfare against the Finns, i believe we should send some experts from the special forces to coordinate them. However i once again repeat Finns penetrating inside our land is highly unlikely since the area they will be advancing through is filled with swamps and lakes. They can't get through on foot, and i am sure as my colleague from the VVS (air force) will tell you they can't reach us by air either.
Marshall Letonov shook his head in agreement.
Letunov: Yes our air defenses will shoot down any aircraft that tries to get into our airspace. We have fixed PVO bunkers and mobile S-300 and Praetorian II units that are ready to shoot anything down as long as we can detect it.
General Robkov of the R/C-R (Intelligence/Counter-Intelligence) stood up.
Robkov: The surveillance network is working perfectly including the anti-stealth system. We are able to see all advances of the enemy as they happen, the armies named by General Hrebkov as well as all the PVO units in the area are receiving VRPB updates on a 10 minute basis, in an event of war we are ready to switch to a second by second basis.
Alexander: Good, what about our VMS (navy), Marshall Parahodov?
Parahodov: We have 3 carrier and 1 submarine groups in Petsamo, and can have 2 more submarine and 4 more carrier groups where within 10 days. If Finland tries to attack from the sea i suggest we engage the minefield system and then use our conventional forces to destroy whatever is left from the Finnish fleet.
Alexander: Good, how does the operation Zmeinaia Golova (Sneak's Head) fair? General Potolkov?
General Potolkov of the special missions planning got up.
Potolkov: We are still determining the details but the general plan is to kill off the president of the Finnish nation by tracking his location and using a high precision BrahMos cruise missile to eliminate him. As he is the initiator of the conflict we believe that his removal will stop the war or cause confusion amongst the enemy ranks which will allow us to eliminate them more effectively.
Alexander: All of you have my permission to give orders to your subordinates. We will remain in this bunker until the conflict is resolved. You can command your forces from here. I got to go and make another attempt at maybe solving this diplomatically.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Official Message from the Russian Government to the global community
I am sure that we are not the only ones who see the actions of the Finnish government as irrational, they have no historical claim to that area and claiming land that isn't theirs and expecting to receive it puts the global perception of the leaders of Finland at risk of the global community considering the leaders of Finland insane. We will not back down protection of land that rightfull belongs to us, but we do not feel that Finns should die because of the failure of their government to remain rational. We urge the global community to once again condemn the actions of the Finnish government and pressure them to reconsider.
Alexander Markov
President of Russian Federation
