A-1 Alpha - $30 million - Felucan Original

The A-1 Alpha is a close support ground attack aircraft designed the purpose of destroying surface targets. Specific survivability features include titanium armor plated cockpit, redundant flight control system separated by fuel tanks, manual reversion mode for flight controls, foam filled fuel tanks, ballistic foam void fillers, and a redundant primary structure providing “get home” capability after being hit. Design simplicity, ease of access and left to right interchangeable components make the A/OA-10 aircraft readily maintainable and suitable for deployment at advanced bases.

The A-1 has excellent maneuverability at low air speeds and altitude, and are highly accurate weapons-delivery platforms. It can loiter near battle areas for extended periods of time and operate under 1,000-foot ceilings (303.3 meters) with 1.5-mile (2.4 kilometers) visibility. The wide combat radius and short takeoff and landing capability permit operations in and out of locations near front lines. Using night vision goggles, A-1 pilots can conduct their missions during darkness.

The 30mm gatling gun can fire 3,900 rounds a minute and can defeat an array of ground targets to include tanks. Some of their other equipment includes an inertial navigation system, electronic countermeasures, target penetration aids, self-protection systems, and guided missiles.

Alphas have Night Vision Imaging Systems (NVIS), compatible single-seat cockpits forward of their wings and a large bubble canopy which provides pilots all-around vision. The pilots are encircled by titanium armor that also protects parts of the flight-control system. The redundant primary structural sections allow the aircraft to enjoy better survivability during close air support than did previous aircraft. The aircraft can survive direct hits from armor-piercing and high-explosive projectiles up to 23mm. Their self-sealing fuel cells are protected by internal and external foam. Their redundant hydraulic flight-control systems are backed up by manual systems. This permits pilots to fly and land when hydraulic power is lost.

Felucan Strike/Warning Suite
The Felucan Strike/Warning Suite gave computers the ability to acquire, recognize, and attack tactical targets during day, night, and adverse weather conditions. It was developed for common usage on most Felucan military machinery. It is fully integrated into the host digital computer system. The pod uses an imaging infrared sensor, GPS and laser designator/ranger for navigational updates, target acquisition and recognition, and weapon delivery. The laser designator gives guidance for laser-guided weapons and has four-digit PRF or PIM coding.

The suite provides a two-way communications system that allows for precision guided weapons that can be controlled from the launch vehicle or a surveillance platform. The weaponry can be "steered" to the target by a weapons control officer monitoring a display from a specially designed television camera or an infrared sensor in the weapon's nose.

The Advanced Radar Warning Receiver (ARWR) continuously detects and intercept RF signals in certain frequency ranges and analyzes and separates threat signals from non-threat signals. It displays threat signals to operators on a priority basis and provides efficient and effective logistical support to the using command activities for the system. It contributes to full-dimensional protection by improving individual probability of survival through improved crew situational awareness of the radar guided threat environment. An RWR processor/memory capacity upgrade was required to allow incorporation of software algorithm enhancements (RAD, etc) to fix known threat ambiguity and false alarm problems.

The Felucan military initiated an ALR-512M processor upgrade program which will provide a common processor for both the ALR-512M/69C configurations; the military committed funds to the common NRE tasks. This upgrade will replace 7 SRUs with one. The ALR-512M includes a fast scanning superhet receiver, superhet controller, analysis processor, low band receiver/power supply, and four quadrant receivers. The ALR-512M is designed to provide improved performance in a dense signal environment and improved detection of modern threat signals, as compared to the version of the ALR-69C which it replaced. A miniaturized version of the ALR-69C, the ALR-512M is a form and fit replacement for the ALR-69C RWR in the F-1 Hawk and other aircraft.

The system comes in several versions, each optimized for that arm's specific needs. Examples are the naval and naval submerged systems, which provide countermeasures and detection equipment specially designed for naval warfare. This includes towed sonar arrays and integration, as well as triangulation and listening specializations for submerged threats. The naval version fully allows for the precision hunting of submarines and other submerged threats.

AIM-1 Fang Air-to-Air Missile - $300,000 - Felucan Original

The AIM-1 advanced medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) is a new generation air-to-air missile. It has an all-weather, beyond-visual-range capability and is scheduled to be operational beyond 2015. AMRAAM is a supersonic, air launched, aerial intercept, guided missile employing active radar target tracking, proportional navigation guidance, and active Radio Frequency (RF) target detection. It employs active, semi-active, and inertial navigational methods of guidance to provide an autonomous launch and leave capability against single and multiple targets in all environments.

The AMRAAM weighs 340 pounds and uses an advanced solid-fuel rocket motor to achieve a speed of Mach 4 and a range in excess of 50 miles. In long-range engagements AMRAAM heads for the target using inertial guidance and receives updated target information via data link from the launch aircraft. It transitions to a self-guiding terminal mode when the target is within range of its own monopulse radar set. The AIM-1 also has a "home-on-jam" guidance mode to counter electronic jamming. With its sophisticated avionics, high closing speed, and excellent end-game maneuverability, chances of escape from AMRAAM are minimal. Upon intercept an active-radar proximity fuze detonates the 40-pound high-explosive warhead to destroy the target. At closer ranges AMRAAM guides itself all the way using its own radar, freeing the launch aircraft to engage other targets.

Hydra 70 Rocket System - $10,000 for launch system, $120 per rocket - Felucan Original

HYDRA-70 Warheads can be categorized into two areas. Unitary warheads are fitted with impact detonating warheads. Cargo warheads, with airburst range setable or fixed stand-off fuzes, utilize the "wall-in-space" concept. The "wall-in-space" concept provides an extremely large increase in effectiveness and virtually eliminates range-to-target errors due to variations in launcher/helicopter pitch angles during launch. The M439 Fuze is remotely set from the aircraft with time (range) to the target data. After firing, the initial forward motion of the rocket begins fuze functioning at the computer-determined time (at a point slightly before and above the target area), the M439 Fuze initiates the expulsion charge. The submunitions (SMs) are ejected, and each Ram Air Decelerator (RAD) inflates. This separates the SMs, starts the arming sequence, and causes each SM to enter into a near vertical descent into the target area. Similarly, the payload of the M267 is discharged to deploy the three M75 Practice SMs.

Subtypes
The M151 HE Warhead is the 10-pound anti-personnel warhead -- traditionally referred to as the "10 Pounder" -- which was designed and developed by the Army and is currently in production. It consists of two main parts, the nose and the base, which are welded (brazed) together. The bulk of the lethality is obtained from the nose section which is fabricated using nodular, pearlitic malleable cast iron. The nose end of the warhead is threaded to receive the M423 Fuze. The M151 can be used M423, M429, and M433 fuzes. The base section is fabricated using steel or cast iron and is threaded for attachment to the rocket motor. The total weight of the loaded, unfuzed, warhead is 8.7 pounds (3.85 kg), of which 2.3 pounds (1.04 kg) is composition B-4 High Explosive (HE). Upon detonation, the warhead fragments into thousands of small, high velocity fragments. The bursting radius is 10 meters; however, high velocity fragments can produce a lethality radius in excess of 50 meters. Temperature limits for storage and firing the M151 are -65 F to +150 F.

The M156 White Phosphorous (Smoke) is primarily used for target marking and incendiary purposes. It ballistically matches the M151 and is of similar construction. Filler for the M156 is 2.2 pounds of WP with a .12-pound bursting charge of composition B. The approximate weight of the fuzed warhead is 9.7 pounds. The M156 uses M423 and M429 fuzes.

The M229 HE Warhead is an elongated version of the M151 Warhead and is commonly referred to as the "17 Pounder" warhead. The M229 HE warhead is currently in the inventory. It was designed and developed to increase the lethality and destructiveness of the 10 pound high explosive warhead. The total weight of the loaded, unfuzed warhead is 16.1 pounds (7.3 kg) [other sources report an unfuzed weight of 16.4 pounds] of which 4.8 pounds (2.18 kg) is composite B-4 HE. Upon detonation, the warhead fragments into thousands of small, high velocity, fragments. Temperature limits for storage and firing the M229 are -65 F to +150 F.

The M255A1 Flechette Warhead design results from a program to develop an air-to-air/air-to-ground warhead with a payload of 1,179 60-grain flechettes. This warhead was type classified standard (for SOF only) and fielded in 1993. The warhead uses many standard components with the M261/M267 Warhead, such as the plastic nose cone, aluminum case, umbilical cable, and the M439 RS Fuze. The M255A1 is intended to be used against light material and personnel targets. At expulsion the flechettes separate and form a disk like mass which breaks up with each flechette assuming an independant trajectory, forming a repeatable dispersion pattern. The flechette uses kinetic energy derived from the velocity of the rocket to produce the desired impact and penetration effect on the target.

The M255E1 Flechette flechette warhead, which contains approximately 1,180 60-grain hardened steel flechettes, is in limited production. It is designed for use with the M439 fuze and has possible air-to-air as well as air-to-ground application.

The M257 Illumination Warhead with M442 Fuse (delay) was designed for battlefield target illumination. The flare warhead is assembled to the MK66 Rocket Motor in the field. The flare and rocket can be launched from either fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft. The M257 consists of an ignition system, flare, main parachute, drogue parachute assembly, and an integral fuze and delay assembly. The warhead is enclosed in an aluminum case. The setback-actuated fixed time integral fuze provides a standoff distance of approximately 3,000 meters. The arming fuze and delay assembly is actuated by motor acceleration. The rocket is fired from the helicopter to attain elevation between 2000 and 4000 feet at 3000 meters downrange. An M442 integral fuze provides a standoff range of approximately 3,000 meters with the MK 40 motor and approximately 3,500 meters with the MK 66 motor. The M257 candle descends at 15 feet per second, burns for approximately 100 seconds with a minimum light output of one million candle power. It can illuminate an area in excess of 1 square kilometer at optimum height. The weight of the M257 is 10.8 pounds, of which 5.4 pounds is magnesium sodium nitrate.

The M261 High-Explosive Multipurpose Submunition [MPSM] warhead provides improved lethality against light armor, wheeled vehicles, materiel, and personnel. The M261 is a cargo warhead consisting of a nose cone assembly, a warhead case, an integral fuze, nine M73 submunitions, and an expulsion charge assembly. The nose cone assembly, a plastic cone bonded to a metal cup-shaped base, is attached to the body by shear pins. The body is a hollow cylinder loaded with 9 full caliber multipurpose submunitions (MPSM). Each submunition has a Ram Air Decelerator (RAD), folded, which nests into the shaped charge cone of the submunition ahead; the 9th (forward) submunition nests into the forward cup which makes up the base of the nose cone. A metal pusher plate is located just aft of the submunition cargo stack and is forward of the expulsion charge assembly. The threaded end of the body is machined internally to accommodate a base detonating, remote settable, variable range fuze. The 9 High Explosive (HE) submunitions are deployed by initiation of a 5.5 gram expulsion charge, consisting of 80% M10 double base probellant and 20% Class 6 black powder. The expulsion charge is initiated by an M84 electric detonator contained in the M439 fuze. A pusher plate then ejects the stack of submunitions through the nose cone. The primary warhead fuze, M439, is remotely set with the ARCS, MFD, or RMS to provide range settings (time of flight) from 500 meters to approximately 7,000 meters. On the AH-1, the RMS is programmable only from 700 meters to 6,900 meters

The Commander's station is equipped with six periscopes which provide all round 360 degree view. The Independent Thermal Viewer (ITV) from Texas Instruments provides him with independent, stabilized day and night vision with a 360 degree view, automatic sector scanning, automatic target cueing of the Gunner's sight with no need for verbal communication, and a complete back-up fire control system - the Commander is capable of firing the main gun independent of the Gunner.

The Gunner's Primary Sight-Line of Sight (GPS-LOS), was developed by the Electro-Optical Systems Division of Hughes Aircraft Company. The night vision Thermal Imaging System (TIS), also from Hughes, creates an image based on the differences of heat radiated by objects in the field of view. The thermal image is displayed in the eyepiece of the Gunner's sight together with the range measurement to within 10 meters of accuracy, from a Hughes laser range finder, which is integrated into all of the fire control systems. The Abrams also has an onboard digital fire control computer. Range data from the laser rangefinder is transferred directly to the fire control computer, which automatically calculates the fire control solution. The data includes 1) the lead angle measurement, 2) the bend of the gun measured by the muzzle reference system of the main armament, 3) wind velocity measurement from a wind sensor on the roof of the turret and 4) the data from a pendulum static cant sensor located at the center of the turret roof. The Gunner or Commander manually inputs the data on the ammunition type and temperature, and the barometric pressure and the weapon is prepared for engagement.

The Loader's station is located on the left side of the turret and has no special fire control equipment.

The Driver's station is located at the center front of the hull. The Driver is in a semi-reclined position when his hatch is closed, as it must be whenever the vehicle is in operation. His station is equipped with a standard array of gages and monitors reflecting the condition of vehicle fluid levels, batteries and electrical equipment. The Driver has either three observation periscopes or two periscopes on either side and a central image intensifying ("Starlight") periscope for night vision. The periscopes provide 120 degrees field of view. The Driver's night vision equipment enables the tank to maneuver at normal daytime driving speeds in darkness and in poor visibility conditions such as in the dust and smoke encountered on the battlefield.

The stowage for the main armament ammunition is in armored ammunition boxes behind sliding armor doors. Armor bulkheads separate the crew compartment from the fuel tanks. The tank is equipped with an automatic Halon fire extinguishing system. This system automatically activates within 2 milliseconds of either a flash or a fire within the various compartments of the vehicle. The top panels of the tank are designed to blow outwards in the event of penetration by a HEAT projectile.

Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) warfare protection is provided by an overpressure clean-air conditioning air system, a radiological warning system, and a chemical agent detector. The crew are individually equipped with protective suits and masks.

The 2nd GEN FLIR is a variable power sighting system ranging from 3 or 6 power (wide field of view) for target acquisition and 13, 25 or 50 power (narrow field of view) for engaging targets at appropriate range.

The UAAPU consist of a turbine engine, a generator, and a hydraulic pump. The generator is capable of producing 6 Kilowatts of electrical power at 214 Amps, 28 vdc, and the hydraulic pump is capable of delivering 10 Kilowatts of hydraulic power. The UAAPU can meet the electrical and hydraulic power to operate all electronic and hydraulic components used during mounted surveilance operations and charge the tank's main batteries. The UAAPU will reduce Operational and Support cost by utilizing the same fuel as the tank at a reduced rate of 3-5 gallons per operational hour. The UAAPU is mounted on the left rear sponson fuel cell area and weighs 510 pounds

Another improvement in the tank is the Thermal Management System (TMS) which keeps the temperature within the crew compartment under 95 degrees and the touch temperature of electronic units under 125 degrees during extreme conditions. By reducing the temperature in the crew compartment for the crew and electronic units, this increases the operational capability for both soldiers and the vehicle. The TMS consists of an Air Handling Unit (AHU) and a Vapor Compression System Unit (VCSU) capable of providing 7.5 Kilowatts of cooling capacity for the crew and Line Repairable Units (LRUs). The AHU is mounted in the turret bustle and the VCSU is mounted forward of the Gunner's Primary Sight (GPS). The TMS uses enviromentally friendly R134a refrigerant and propylene glycol/water mixture to maintain the LRU touch temperature at less than 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The TMS is mounted in the left side of turret bussel and weighs 384 pounds.

Longbow A/B Multiple Launch Rocket System - $2.5 million

The Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) provides the Army an all-weather, indirect, area fire weapon system to strike counterfire, air defense, armored formations, and other high-payoff targets at all depths of the tactical battlefield. Primary missions of MLRS include the suppression, neutralization and destruction of threat fire support and forward area air defense targets.

The Multiple Launch Rocket System is a versatile weapon system that supplements traditional cannon artillery fires by delivering large volumes of firepower in a short time against critical, time-sensitive targets. These targets often include enemy artillery, air defense systems, mechanized units, and personnel. MLRS units can use their system's "shoot and scoot" capability to survive while providing fire support for attacking manuever elements. MLRS is not intended to replace cannon artillery, but has been designed to complement it.

Full Spectrum Combat Armor (FSCA) - $4,900 - Felucan Original

The FSCA body armor and integrated helmet are the first generation of a forward-looking protective system for individual soldiers on the battlefield of tommorow. The basics of the armor are a full-spectrum protection-oriented body armor that can protect against fragmentation, impact and bullets. Knee and elbow joints feature ceramic, plated armor, with lightweight plated padding on the shins and forearms. Thighs and upper arms are also protected by the spectra padded plate.

The M3 helmet features full coverage of the head with a polarized, tinted visor featuring next-generation composite nanotech, self-sealing blast shield/face plate. A modular, 130 channel communications set with attachable antenna is built directly into the helmet and is removable and adjustable to the scope of the individual, from squad level to batallion level.

The M3 helmet's visor is non-reflective, an optical material that allows switching between thermal and night vision imaging. A small lighting system along the brow of the helmet can project a HUD (Heads Up Display) against the inside of the visor, overlaying maps and tactical information while allowing the user 100% vision. All of this is controlled via studs on the jaw of the helmet as well as a control mounted on the wrist or thigh.

Note: In a cooperative effort from Ustia, the FSCA has been upgraded to an integrated, Land-Warrior style weapon linkage system.

While the armor is considered level III and IV protection, it maintains surpurb flexability and mobility for the wearer, and also allows for the insert of various weight and level trauma plates.

Dolphin Class Strategic Submarine - $875 million - Felucan Original

A cylindrical pressure hull structure of titanium steel alloy is supported by circular frames and enclosed by hemispherical heads at both ends. The pressure hull provides an enclosure large enough for weapons, crew, and equipment with enough strength to enable the ship to operate deep enough to avoid easy detection.

A streamlined (fish-shaped) outer hull permits the ship to move quietly through the water at high speeds. It is normally considered as the main ballast tanks. The superstructure is any part of the ship that is above the pressure hull. This would include the sail or fairwater area, and the area above the missile tubes. The streamlined hull was designed specifically for efficient cruising underwater.

The larger hulls accommodate more weapons of larger size and greater range, as well as sophisticated computerized electronic equipment for improved weapon guidance and sonar performance. Improved silencing techniques reduce the chances of detection.

The Dolphin-class submarines are specifically designed for extended deterrent patrols. To increase the time in port for crew turnover and replenishment, three large logistics hatches are fitted to provide large diameter resupply and repair openings. These hatches allow sailors to rapidly transfer supply pallets, equipment replacement modules and machinery components, significantly reducing the time required for replenishment and maintenance. The class design and modern main concepts allow the submarines to operate for 15+ years between overhauls. Each Dolphin is at sea at least 66 percent of the time, including major overhaul periods of twelve months every nine years. One combat employment cycle includes a 70-day patrol and 25-day period of transfer of the submarine to the other crew, between-deployment maintenance, and reloading of munitions.

CVN-1 Daewoo Class Aircraft Carrier - $3.5B - Felucan Original

In addition to their power-projection role, they serve as joint command platforms in the worldwide command-and-control network.
The carrier air wing can destroy enemy aircraft, ships, submarines, and land targets, or lay mines hundreds of miles from the ship. Aircraft are used to conduct strikes, support land battles, protect the battle group or other friendly shipping, implement a sea or air blockade. The air wing provides a visible presence to demonstrate Felucan power and resolve in a crisis. The ship normally operates as the centerpiece of a carrier battle group commanded by a flag officer embarked in the carrier and consisting of four to six other ships, including guided missile cruisers, destroyers, frigates, replenishment ships and submarines.

The Daewoo-class carriers are a floating airport, capable of catapult launching as many as two aircraft a minute. The ship's two catapults and four arresting gear engines enable her to launch and recover aircraft rapidly and simultaneously. The ships carry several different types of aircraft with a total complement of more than 80 planes. During flight operations, the flight deck of 5.7 acres is a scene of intense activity, with crew, aircraft and other equipment functioning as a well-rehearsed and carefully choreographed team to ensure both efficiency and safety. Two aircraft elevators, each the size of two average city lots, bring the aircraft to the flight deck from the hangars below. Small tractors spot the planes on the flight deck. Aviation fuel is pumped up from tanks below, and bombs and rockets are brought up from the magazines. Powerful steam catapults (affectionately known as "Fat Cats") can accelerate 37-ton jets from zero to a safe flight speed of up to 180 miles per hour in about 300 feet and in less than three seconds. The weight of each aircraft determines the amount of thrust provided by the catapult. When landing, pilots use a system of lenses to guide the aircraft "down the slope," the correct glide path for landing. The four arresting wires, each consisting of two-inch thick wire cables connected to hydraulic rams below decks, drag landing aircraft going as fast as 150 miles per hour to a stop in less than 400 feet. High in the island, seven stories above the flight deck, the "Air Boss" and his staff coordinate the entire operation, which is carefully monitored from the flight deck level as well as by the Captain on the ship's bridge. The various functions of the flight deck crew are identified by the colors they wear: yellow for officers and aircraft directors; purple for fuel handlers; green for catapult and arresting gear crews; blue for tractor drivers; brown for chock and chain runners; and red for crash and salvage teams and the ordnance handlers.

The Daewoo-class self-defense measures include: missiles, guns, and electronic warfare. The Sparrow Missile System is comprised of two launchers with four missiles each. Sparrow is a radar-guided, short-to-medium range missile capable of engaging aircraft and cruise missiles. Daewoo-class also has Close-In Weapon System mounts for short range defense against aircraft or missiles. Each mount has its own search and track radar, and a six-barrel, 30-millimeter Gatling gun capable of firing 3,000 rounds per minute

The carrier's two nuclear reactors give her virtually unlimited range and endurance and a top speed in excess of 30 knots. Eight steam turbine generators each produce 8,000 kilowatts of electrical power, enough to serve a small city. The ship has enough electrical generating power to supply electricity to a city of 100,000. The ships normally carrys enough food and supplies to operate for 90 days. Four distilling units enable Daewoo-class engineers to make over 400,000 gallons of fresh water from seawater a day, for use by the propulsion plants, catapults and crew. The ship carries approximately 3 million gallons of fuel for her aircraft and escorts, and enough weapons and stores for extended operations without replenishment. These ships also have extensive repair capabilities, including a fully equipped Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department, a micro-miniature electronics repair shop, and numerous ship repair shops. Keeping a Daewoo-class carrier ready at all times requires repair shops to maintain machinery and aircraft, heavy duty tailor shops to repair parachutes and other survival gear, and electronic ships that keep communication, navigation and avionics equipment in good condition. Daewoo-class carriers boast all the amenities that would be found in any city with a comparable population, including a post office with its own ZIP code, TV and radio stations, a newspaper, a fire department, a library, a hospital, a general store, two barbershops and much more.

The Buckler Close-In Weapons System (CIWS - pronounced "sea-whiz") is a fast-reaction, rapid-fire 20-millimeter gun system that provides ships with a terminal defense against anti-ship missiles that have penetrated other fleet defenses. Designed to engage anti-ship cruise missiles and fixed-wing aircraft at short range, Buckler automatically engages functions usually performed by separate, independent systems such as search, detection, threat evaluation, acquisition, track, firing, target destruction, kill assessment and cease fire.

Buckler is a point-defense, total-weapon system consisting of two 20mm gun mounts that provide a terminal defense against incoming air targets. CIWS, without assistance from other shipboard systems, will automatically engage incoming anti-ship missiles and high-speed, low-level aircraft that have penetrated the ship primary defense envelope. As a unitized system, CIWS automatically performs search, detecting, tracking, threat evaluation, firing, and kill assessments of targets while providing for manual override. Each gun mount houses a fire control assembly and a gun subsystem. The fire control assembly is composed of a search radar for surveillance and detection of hostile targets and a track radar for aiming the gun while tracking a target. The unique closed-loop fire control system that tracks both the incoming target and the stream of outgoing projectiles gives CIWS the capability to correct its aim to hit fast-moving targets, including ASMs.

The F-10 Raptor - $65 million - Felucan Original

New Feluca has finished its first high-preformance, VTOL stealth air-dominance/strike fighter. A highly-manuverable and low-profile aircraft, the F-10 comes in two versions, A and B variants.

Both versions have the same fuselage and internal weapons bay, common outer mold lines with similar structural geometries, identical wing sweeps, and comparable tail shapes. The weapons are stored in two parallel bays located aft of the main landing gear. The canopy, radar, ejection system, subsystems, and avionics are all common.

The weapon storage bays and studs are designed with common modular hardpoints, allowing for future developed weapons to be fitted.

F-10A
This will be the primary air-to-air fighter of the program, equipped primarily for an interception and air-to-air combat type of role. It is a single seat fighter jet. Featured is a Felucan radar suite and a modular communications and electronics package able to be swapped out or replaced as upgrades become available.

F-10B
This version is a ground-strike aircraft. The electronics are also by Felucan Electronics Works, modular and replacable/swappable. The only differences between the two will be, range, speed, payload and the F-10B has 2 seats allowing for a weapons officer.

Features:
Internal weaponry allows for a more-stealthy profile, and design construction is of stealthy materials.

The manuverable thrust engine allows for extremely tight turning and manuvering while in the air as well as high preformance even at low speeds.

Leadingedge flaps and foldable wing tip sections account for increased wing area. The larger wing area also provides the F-10 with an increased payload capability. The design is also optimized for survivability, which is a key requirement. Like the F-10 will incorporate an internal gun and sensors. This new fighter will be used by the military as a first-day-of-war aircraft.

The F-10 will also feature an arresting hook and strengthened structure and landing gear, making it operatable from an aircraft carrier despite its VTOL capabilities.

XM-1 Penetrator - $12 million - Felucan Original

The Felucan military has developed a high-speed rocket-assisted armor penetrating round. The XM-1 Penetrator is a two stage ballistic missile.

Stage 1: This stage is no doubt the longest, consisting of most of 70% of the missile weight. It provides initial launch as well as speed increases until maximum assisted velocity has been achieved. The ballistic path is an arc.

Stage 2: At approximately 30 miles from the target, stage 2 of flight begins as the stage 1 booster falls away. This flight is guided with pin-point accuracy, making micro adjustments as necessary to direct the warhead to its target. At this point, the Penetrator has achieved maximum velocity. Stage 2 has all of the terminal guidance equipment.

Stage 3: Unguided and unassisted flight. At 2.75 miles from the target, the stage 2 guidance package falls away leaving only the Penetrator round. Typically the aluminium fins of the Penetrator glow, leaving a laser-like path across the sky. Within 6 seconds of stage 3, the Penetrator has arrived at its target. Upon impact, the fins are sheered away during the Penetrator's entry into the target. Ballistic and kinetic energy alone cause a massive overpressure and the passage packs a powerful sonic energy explosion. Typically, the hole left behind in hardened objects is approximately 10 times the diameter of the round, and the further it penetrates will warp the round further, causing even more damage. The impact is the equivilent of a 5,000lb, shaped armor-piercing explosion.

The Commander's station is equipped with six periscopes which provide all round 360 degree view. The Independent Thermal Viewer (ITV) provides him with independent, stabilized day and night vision with a 360 degree view, automatic sector scanning, automatic target cueing of the Gunner's sight with no need for verbal communication, and a complete back-up fire control system - the Commander is capable of firing the main gun independent of the Gunner.

The thermal image is displayed in the eyepiece of the Gunner's sight together with the range measurement to within 2 meters of accuracy, from a laser range finder, which is integrated into all of the fire control systems. The Chimera also has an onboard digital fire control computer.

The Driver has either three observation periscopes or two periscopes on either side and a central image intensifying ("Starlight") periscope for night and thermal vision. The periscopes provide 120 degrees field of view. The Driver's night vision and thermal equipment enables the tank to maneuver at normal daytime driving speeds in darkness and in poor visibility conditions such as in the dust and smoke encountered on the battlefield.

The 3rd GEN FLIR is a variable power sighting system ranging from 3 to 9 power (wide field of view) for target acquisition and 13, 25, 45 or 60 power (narrow field of view) for engaging targets at appropriate range.

The UAAPU consist of a turbine engine, a generator, and a hydraulic pump. The generator is capable of producing 8 Kilowatts of electrical power and the hydraulic pump is capable of delivering 12 Kilowatts of hydraulic power. The UAAPU is mounted on the left rear sponson fuel cell area and weighs 590 pounds

The TMS is mounted in the left side of turret bussel and weighs 394 pounds.

Starfall Rocket System - $12,000 for 40 tube mount and tracking system, $200 per rocket - Felucan Original

Basics
The Starfall Rocket System consists primarily of the rocket itself. The mounting can be placed on any vehicle which has a radar or computer system. - Typically, any truck chassis can be fitted with the mount and tracking system provided it meets basic electrical power requirements.

Tracking
The Starfall operates via an integrated network, which allows it to recieve tracking information from either a RADAR, IR or visual tracking. Starfall sets an altitude and course, as well as a burst pattern for its munitions.

By recieving messages from outside sources, such as RADAR sets, GPS, IR tracking, radio tracking, magnetic sources or even visual spotting. By making milisecond calculations of the course, speed and height of the target, the Starfall System intercepts that inbound thread with munitions. No further guidance for the rocket is required, and it will not recieve signals. The only electronic part of the munition is the fuse-programmer, which functions once to set the fuse to a specific height and distance.

It is reccomended that the Starfall System be deployed in a battery of several launchers spread out somewhat so that several angles of attack are made use of, thus raising the efficiency of the Starfall munition.

Effect
The Starfall launches anywhere between 1 and 40 rockets per platform, sending an unguided rocket to a pre-programmed altitude, where it explodes. Minute adjustments made by the platform will create a burst pattern in the sky that covers approximately a 1,000 meter radius sphere with explosions and deadly, aircraft-shredding shrapnel.

The approximate 'red' zone saturation (95% kill percentage) of the Starfall rocket is 75 meters, and the 'orange' zone saturation (65% kill percentage) is 100 meters, with the 'yellow' zone saturation (25% kill percentage) of 130 meters. By launching multiple rockets in an air-suppression pattern, even a few rockets can cover a large space with 'red' and 'orange' zone kills.

Warhead
The explosives package is extremely powerful, propelled by a rocket booster using a solid fuel cell that achieves approximately Mach 11. The Starfall is not intended for a skin-on-skin contact (though it happens often), instead to saturate a sphere of space with munitions, in effect forming massive clouds of 'flak'. The explosion is timed, to usually go off before the inbound ballistic object has even reached the Starfall rocket. Many ICBMs are actually faster than an explosion.

Total length: 12 feet
Diameter: 1 foot 10 inches
Weight: 1,900lbs
Propulsion: Turbojet, solid fuel booster.
Speed: Mach 11.3
Maximum effective range: 10,138 miles
Guidance mode: Unguided rocket for set altitudes and distances. It uses outside sources of tracking to detect a target, and then send unguided muntions in an intercept course.
Warhead: 400lbs, HE shrapnel penetrates approximately 1.8 inch (45.75mm) of titanium armor.

AR-2 Felucan Assault Rifle - $3,500 - Felucan Original

From the technical point of view, the AR-2 is a radical departure from all the previous Felucan rifles, based on the proven G3 roller-delayed system. The AR-2 is a conventional gas operated, selective fire rifle, made from most modern materials and using most modern technologies.

The receiver and most of the others external parts of the AR-2 are made from reinforced polymers, with steel inserts where appropriate. The operating system is a modification of the older AR-1, with its short stroke gas piston, located above the barrel, square-shaped bolt carrier and the typical rotating bolt with 7 locking lugs. Of cause, there also are many differences from the AR-1. The bolt carrier rides on a single guide rod, with the return spring around it. The charging handle is attached to the top of the bolt carrier and can be rotated to the left or to the right. When not in use, the charging handle aligns itself with the axis of the weapon under the pressure of its spring, and reciprocates with the bolt group at the top of the receiver. The gas block is fitted with the self-adjustable gas valve, that expels all the used gases forward, away from the shooter. The ejection window is located at the right side of the receiver and features a spent cases deflector to propel the ejected cases away from the face of the left-handed shooter.

The AR-2 will feature a revolutionary new side-locking gunsight system. The sight enhancement (Scope or AGOG sight) fittings are on a hinge which is locked into place simply and firmly with a simple swivel pin. This allows for a soldier in the field to swiftly switch from iron sights to scope simply by flipping a small switch and pushing the scope up into place, where it locks until the switch is held down again. The gunsight system when not in use locks into place on the left side of the rifle out of the way.

The AR-2 is fitted with a helmet-feed compatible camera system. This allows look-around-corner ability as well as around-corner firing.

Gladiator Class Dreadnought - $125 billion - Felucan Original

These are among the most powerful warship ever assembled. Previous battleships had to give up performance in either speed, armor, or firepower in order to achieve better results in the other two. The designers of the Gladiator class attempted to produce a design that made no such sacrifices.

Even though the design was very remarkable, some policy analysts were not sold on that New Feluca needed battleships. This opinion gain more momentum because of the vulnerability of battleships as shown by the attack on The Hood. Their plan called for the battleships to be converted into a similar size carrier as the Daewoo-class. But, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Ernest Keng vetoed the carrier idea and instead pushed for accelerated construction of the Gladiator-class due to their well-balanced design. “I cannot acquiesce in a complete cessation of battleship construction,” he commented to Prime Minister Cyan Bobtail.

The Gladiator class design was conceived in an era of crisis. As New Feluca crept ever more closely to imperialism, its Navy faced some major problems with its ship inventory. Much of war planning is based on “what if?” scenarios. These are situations where there is a small chance that the enemy could do something that will turn the tide of a future war against your forces.

Specifically, friend and foe alike had outclassed the Navy’s mostly destroyer navy and the Navy realized that it faced many nightmarish “what if” situations. It was in this environment that designers and policy makers within the Navy Department conceived the Gladiator-class battleships.

Even though many people recognized that battleships were becoming obsolete and that aircraft carriers were more important, Feluca's disadvantage in battleship design was not an easy concept to ignore. Navy intelligence had reached the unfortunate conclusion that enemies might very well dump everything into arms which could withstand attacks even by the existing 'light battleship, heavy gunship cruiser' Broadsword class.

The United States faced two specific problems, cruise missile and nuclear attack. The New Felucan latest designs, however, respected the capability of such weaponry established in the campaigns against Blackhelm. New Feluca was not about to begin purchasing foreign designs. As a result, New Feluca began to design a warship capable of both withstanding incredible damage and able to dish it out as well.

With this announcement, the Navy responded by beginning work on a new, much larger. The responsibility for coming out with a new design fell to the Navy’s Battleship Design Advisory Board (BDAB). Formed shortly after the Liberation War through an executive order, this group was made up of Feluca's finest maritime architects. For this specific project, Capt. Allan Chantry, manager of the Northport Navy Yard’s Industrial Development, was the lead designer. Chantry was one an intellectually brilliant officer. He graduated first in his class at the Naval Academy in and received his master’s degree at the Feluca City Institute of Technology. Chantry oversaw the construction of the Gladiator Class.

With the decision made to design and build a new class of battleships, the numbers game began. The design of any battleship had to consider three basic factors: speed, firepower, and armor. Conventional wisdom said that a designer had to sacrifice performance in one category in order to gain performance in the other two.

Some improvements were made with the prototype but only with some ingenious and creative engineering as these battleships were also restricted to 35,000-tons. These two warships had to be the same displacement but with increased armor protection and the same speed. The result was a shorter, slightly fatter hull.

Several other ships, however, still equaled or outclassed current Felucan designs in one or more factors. Additionally, the fast heavy cruisers, posed a “what if” scenario where enemy warships played havoc with Felucan shipping. Once Navy intelligence confirmed this, BDAB was faced with the task of building a battleship class capable of chasing down and defeating anything it might meet. The board set out to build a class of battleship that equalled or exceeded all enemy designs in every category.

Armament
With the fixed factors in mind, the first consideration was the main armament. BDAB had four options. Option number one was to match the enemy gun for gun with the Mk1 18-inch/45 caliber rifle. This monster gun, could fire a three-ton shell several dozen miles that could penetrate 7 feet of heavily reinforced and rolled armor. There were several problems with using this weapon (option number one called for the use of nine Mk1s.) It would slow the ships down to a snail crawl of 22 knots, add six months to construction time, require that some of the armor be shed on the turrets, and most importantly, the beam of the ship would have to be increased in order to accommodate the sheer size of the guns.

Option number two was to have only dual mounted 18-inch guns. While it might have saved some space and displacement, BDAB quickly dismissed this option. It would have required additional design and test work, being that there was no dual mount available.

Options number three and four both considered the use of the smaller 16-inch rifles. There were two types available: the Mk6 16-inch/45 caliber rifle and the newer Mk7 16-inch/50 caliber rifle. While the Mk6 would make the designer’s job easier because it was small and light, the Mk6 would not solve the firepower problem. Option 4, the Mk7 25 inch gun but in less numbers, was simply sheer firepower by reducing weight but maintaining the hard-hitting power of the battleship.

The Mk7 had several other disadvantages over the other options. During a rapid-fire situation, the Mk7 could only fire twice at half the speed of 18-inch guns but would give the new class a further reach than the older Mk6 16-inch rifles. The greater weight forced a reduction in raw numbers of guns, mounting instead of 27 guns, it would mount just 15.

However, the turrets for the Mk7 could be given sufficient armor to withstand an incoming 22-inch shell, unlike the Mk1 18-inch guns. Fully equipped, each of the triple mounted turrets weighed over 3,100 tons.

The Naval Gun Factory (Building 76 and present site of the Navy Museum.) at the Northport Navy Yard designed and manufactured the guns. The installation of the nine Mk7 25 guns was among the most complicated procedures performed. With the skill of a surgeon, each gun had to be installed within a 1/4-inch of standards. Each gun, not including the gun breech, weighed around 180 tons (considered to be a “lightweight” design) and could fire a standard three ton shell 44 miles.

In accordance to the need for faster firing speeds for the 25 inch guns, a revolutionary drum-fed revolver type reloading system was designed specificly for the Gladiator. Rather than using a standard sliding breach for the 25 inch gun base, a rotating revolver would be used which allowed for ammunition to be fed as quickly as the turret's stabalizing system recover from the last shot.

Modern battleships had a concern that World War I counterparts did not have to worry about: air attacks. Despite the modern battleship’s classification as “dreadnought” battleships (which meant among other things that the vessel carried an all big gun arrangement), designers equipped their warships with several smaller caliber guns for air defense. From the start, these ships were to have 12, 8-inch, dual purpose guns mounted in 12 turrets. These guns could put up 48 shells per minute per turret in the anti-aircraft role. The Naval Gun Factory designed the smaller guns, but contracted their manufacture to other factories. Even though the keels had already been laid, designers continued to tweak the design. One of the things that made World modern combat different than most previous wars was that the combatants more quickly learned lessons of the battlefield and applied them to new weapon designs.

The very real threat of air attacks forced designers to place several smaller AA guns. Additional guns were to be placed to supplement the dual mounted eight-inch guns. 22 Buckler 20mm CIWS, 28 .50 caliber quad mounted machine guns were added. The problem with adding such an impressive array of guns was that the ship would require an additional 1,300 sailors to the ship. Despite this, the risk of air attack was too great and the additional guns, and sailors, were ordered.

In keeping with modern standards, the Gladiator's designers also incorporated six seperate Verticle Launch Cells, each able to hole 96 missiles and 8 box launchers able to hold 12 missiles of various designs. This gave the Gladiator devestating over-the-horizon firepower as well as close in anti-air, anti-ship defense. The Gladiator, with its reinforced armor and defensive systems would also serve a role as a submarine-hunter and is equipped with depth charge deployment arrangements.

Armor
The second basic factor, after firepower, to be considered was armor. The armor scheme was a copy of the armor used on the Broadsword class only thicker. This armor could, in theory, stop a 26-inch shell coming in at a 45-degree angle with zero penetration. There was some idle talk about making the armor tough enough to stop an 32-inch shell, but BDAB dropped the idea when it realized how much more weight and redesign work it would take. They instead settled on an ERA type of outer layer system which would take most of the kinetic force away from incoming impacts.

Rolled Homogeneous Composite double titanium-uranium hull was used to manufacture the armor. One 27 inch belt of the armor ran from the deck to the bottom of the ship on both sides of the ship and covered the full ship. Eighteen inch plates were used in the turrets and 11 1/2 inch plates were placed on the decks.

The armoring system features defensive pockets to absorb kinetic force and crumpling.

It is interesting to note that much of Gladiator's armor is thicker than battleships built 50 years earlier. Gladiator, however, benefitted from advances in technology that allowed mills to forge the metal at higher temperatures and heat treatment, which in turn produced a much higher quality that was stronger and more elastic. Two plants, Bethehelm Steel’s main mill and Luken Steel’s, manufactured most of the armor plating. For the turret plate, however, a special forge was constructed just for the Gladiator-class at the Southport Shipyard.

The interior of the ship is compartmentalized in the event of a breach, and every room is equipped with a fire extinguisher or built in fire suppression systems. Each deck is entirely independant, and redundant stairwells allow for individual decks to be abandoned completely and still allow the ship to function.

Ammunition and fuel (The Gladiator, like other nuclear-powered ships still carry both diesel and jet fuel.) bunkers are heavily reinforced and feature a revolutionary self-sealing bladder system.

Propulsion
Armor and guns weighed the ships down considerably, which under normal circumstances would have meant the ship would not be able to achieve a very high rate of speed. BDAB, however, set a very high bar for Gladiator. BDAB wanted the new class of warships to steam at 45-knots. This would make them among the fastest battleships ever built. To achieve such speed, the hull of Gladiator-class ships is much longer than earlier prototype designs.

Additionally, workers installed four of the largest nuclear powerplant ever put on Felucan Navy ships. Together, the boilers and engines turned out over 500,000 ship horsepower on eight shafts. This power plant continue to be the envy of Navy engineers to this day. The redundancy is unbelievable with four backup systems and two emergency backups. Something could break down, which is rare, and no one would ever know the difference.

Systems
The Felucan Naval Combat System, formerly called the Advanced Tactical ESM Combat System is the advanced ESM system for the Gladiator class that will support operations in both the open-ocean environment and the complex littoral signals environment. It consists of signal receivers, displays, and advanced processing and analysis equipment. ESM provides detection, identification, and direction-finding for radar and communication signals emanating from ships, aircraft, submarines, and other emitters. ESM equipment is used by the ship to aid in self-protection, situation awareness, and intelligence-gathering for battle group support. Battle group dissemination of the information gathered from these signals will be provided via the ship’s combat control system and communications equipment.

The ESM suite is a minimally manned ESM system providing several critical functions for radar and communications signals: detection, signal acquisition, identification, localization, and threat warning to the combat system. It has extending antenna arrays which when combined reaches out 50 meters (25 to each side) and allows for additional triangulation for targeting and information reception.

An integral component and an effective asset in the Navy’s Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), the Felucan Electronic Warfare System comprises three modular versions with increasing levels of complexity deployed in five variants:

(V)1 provides Electronic Support (ES) for fifty RF bands, providing warning, identification, and direction-finding of incoming anti-ship missile (ASM) terminal guidance radars, IR and magnetic guidance.
(V)2 provides ES for increased RF coverage adding early warning, identification, and direction-finding against the targeting associated with ASMs.
(V)3 adds Electronic Attack [EA] jamming capability against targeting and terminal guidance attacks.

Mine countermeasures has emerged as an essential naval war-fighting capability. In order to ensure an ability to effectively integrate with the Joint force structure in the forward-deployed littoral environment, and to meet the operational needs imposed by this new role, a significant upgrade of the combat systems aboard the Gladiator classe is now required. This upgrade will result in the Integrated Combat Weapons System (ICWS).

Mine Countermeasures (MCM) is one of the clearly essential naval operations necessary for success in the littorals. From the MCM perspective, the upgrading of the MCM ship combat system has become a virtual necessity. The Gladiator is equipped with combat systems which were developed independently and then integrated. The existing stove-pipe combat system architecture's place severe restrictions on the amount of C4I and information flow available to the MCM force.

FLEETnet is the operational construct and architectural framework for Naval Warfare in the Information Age which integrates warriors, sensors, networks, command and control, platforms and weapons into a networked, distributed combat force, scalable across the spectrum of conflict from seabed to space and sea to land.

The goal of FLEETnet is to arm Felucan forces with superior knowledge, leading to increased combat power. In pursuit of this goal, FLEETnet will provide a comprehensive network of sensors, analysis tools, and decision aids to support the full array of naval activities, from combat operations to logistics and personnel development. The focused, timely, and accurate data delivered by FLEETnet will help leaders at every level by allowing them to draw on vast amounts of information and share the resultant understanding. This will increase the joint force's ability to synchronize activities throughout the battle space to achieve the greatest impact.

FLEETnet enables the pillars of Sea Strike, Sea Shield, and Sea Basing, as well as the supporting initiatives of Sea Trial, Sea Enterprise and Sea Warrior.

Felucan Combat Blade - $1,300 - Felucan Original

Combat swords have fallen out of use ever since the 17th and 18th centuries. While many militaries still use swords for ceremonial purposes, rare is it the modern military which allows its soldiers to customize their kits.

For those soldiers seeking a form of personal protection that has a rather large intimidation factor, we present the Felucan Combat Blade.

Hilt/grip
The hilts are handmade with a leathery rubber synthetic resistant to sweat, heat, cold, chemicals and oils. The grips can be further wrapped with a non-condusive adhesive which allows for greater handling of the weapon.

The crosstress (Or handguard) is formed of S30V steel and is directly connected to the hilt for better impact resistance. S30V is highly durable, and the hilts have a titanium wrap-around guard, which further reinforces the crosstress. This allows the hilt and crosstress to bear incredible weight, up to 2.2 tons.

Blade
All blades are formed with a CPM-T440V-Titanium alloy which had incredible edge retention, allowing the sword to be used for decades without a need for replacement.

The blades have a self-sharpening micro-serrated edge which lends great cutting power and edge retention. The more you use the weapon, the sharper it tends to get.

A certain degree of flex was once required for swords to prevent breaking, but modern technology means a more rigid weapon which can be used on a larger variety of targets, including heavy body armor and even light vehicles. All Felucan Combat Blades have a uniform material construction and each weapon is tested vigorously for quality control.

Sheaths
All Felucan Combat Blades come with a standard Kydex sheath, although other types are available.

ABS -- A black amorphous thermoplastic terpolymer with high impact strength.
Leather -- Initially most knife sheaths were made of leather. Leather Sheaths are more traditional, yet very durable and soft enough so that it forms to the knives.
Cordura -- Cordura is twice as durable as standard nylon and is used in a variety of products. Cordura is resistant to abrasions, tears and scuffs.
Kydex -- A thin thermoplastic commonly used for firearm holsters and knife sheaths. It is flexible, resistant to sweat, chemicals, oils and solvents. It is shaped by heat and retains its' set form.
Ballistic Nylon -- one of the toughest fabrics in the world, ballistic nylon is rugged and sturdy -- a super tough nylon.
