As a result of the recent weapons shipment recieved from the Most Sacred Catholic Empire of Sol Giuldor, the Irish Republican Army is now ready to push the British invaders from their lands! 100 Leapard-2 Main Battle tanks, accompanied by infantry, rumble onward to Northern Ireland, while uprising all throughout the North cause confusion amongst the British. The "peace talks" have come to an end!

OOC: Join on either side, the IRA's or the British. By moderate FT, I mean if you are borderline FT you may join , but dont get to crazy (as in, millions of "invincibe" giant robots)

The Most Sacred Catholic Empire of Sol Giuldor has joined this war on the side of the IRA! The oppressive and evil British rule will be driven from these lands, and the Anglican Chuch will be taught not to mess with the one true Church!

Today's top story,
The British, caught off-guard by the firepower of the IRA has been pounded during the 1st battle of the war. About 100 IRA battle tanks, most likely given to them by an outside nation, backed by 300 infantry (armed nwith powerful German assault weapons) obliterated the 4th Tank Battalion, who happened to be on excersize in Northern Ireland. Several towns have fallen, and without immediate aid, Ireland will fall to the IRA within 12 hours. Unknown sources have also hinted that the IRA may be in the possesion of Soman Nerve gas (a very deadly toxin), in quantities great enough to kill thousands in London. These reports have not been confirmed, however the implications are terrifying.

OOC: For those of you who don't know about the constant civil war now taking place in Ireland, lemme bring you up- to date. Basicall, in the 1600's the British invaded and conquered Ireland, a Catholic nation. They began to enforce the Anglican church on he Catholic people, and took away all of their rights to a representation in Parliament. Thus, they where exploited. So, a society known as the IRB (Irish republican Brotherhood) was created, and eventually led a rebellion against the British. This event (known as The Rising)
reshaped Irish history. The rebellion, while largely a failure, did give the Irish some freedom under the "Free-state" parliament. However, soon the English Parliament took away all of the "Free-State" power, and filled it with puppets. Anglican zealots soon began to enroach on the Catholic Church, and war erupted yet again. In the late 1800's, a group of Irish patriots met and formed the IRA (Irish Republican Army), snd vowed to establish a republic like that existing in the United States. So, they began a war of terror on Britian, with bombings, followed by arrest, followed by hunger strikes, then releases, then more bombings...
Eventually, the IRA succeded in establishing Ireland as a free state, however the British insisted in holding Northern Ireland, Ireland's most developed area. Without Northern Ireland, the nation suffered, and the IRA set out to claim this valuable spot of land...
Recently, the British have seen their wrongs and are now in peace talks with the IRA. Ideally, they will pay compensations to Ireland and return their land, as well as remove all of those blasted Anglican Churches. :headbang:

"Sir!" Crowley's aid said as he burst into the man's office, "I have news of the greatest brand!" The Admiral was already annoyed with the man for barging in so often, "What is it? And if I don't agree with you I'll have your head." "You'll agree with me on this sir. The IRA is leading a grand assult on Northern Ireland." The Admiral was pleased, "We must return to fight, we can't let the IRA lose this fight. The Celtic Freedom Army will not let their brothers in arms fail. No longer will we have to just supply the INLA. We will once again fight the British bastards* and reclaim our land. Call Dan Hanlon, tell him to prep all of the Black Berets we have for transport. Then, call down to the Riders and have them join the Black Berets. I'll tell Greene to ready Eire division. We will win this fight!"
*I as an author meen nothing by this. The Character is simply predjudice to the English soldiers. I am sorry if I offend anyone.
OOC: I hate to say this but the Red Hand of Ulster and other such gorups are going to have to get involved if you want to keep this realistic.
