The Spreading/Preaching of Democracy (Alt. History, 1800's, OPEN-IC)
(OOC INTRO: While there are a lot of PT's cropping up, most of them are forced RL, or Mideival. So I want do a story set in the past around the time of my nations founding. I decided of course to go with this scenario: My nation's founder, Yasashii Himura, is now on a quest to spread democracy to the world, this is not going to be widely accepted by everyone. But of course their might be some. You can play as many characters as you like. Angry Governments that want to stop me, Governments that want to hear me out, angry town’s people that want me stopped, towns people that want to hear me, and even immigrate to Kanami, toppled regimes, freshly starting colonies, my co-preachers the sky is the limit. Only you can play my nations founder. That's reserved for me. Take a look http://************/bwn9o (Sorry the Bitmap is all I have, I can't find the actual jpg. So you are all welcome.)
IC: The Pacific, the Early 1800's A new republic has been formed. Led by a band of outcasts, and rebels, it will be the shining utopia of freedom and justice in the world. But now is the time to share it's wealth of Democracy, to the world. Her name, Yasashii Himura, aged 15 and two months (my math may be off) it’s at the port of the capital city.
Carmina Gadalica. The many men and women wait for the departure of Yasashii and her small hand picked crew of men and women. She stands up to give a departing speech. People cheer widely for her.
"My fellow citizens, as your proud Prime Minister and I am happy to be at this wonderful port, on this glorious morning. Kanami is the shining beacon of successful young democracy, in a world that seems to be with out morals. But I hope to spread our message, and our philosophy of our way of life. And how we have blended the elements of Democracy and Theology, together. (**Her long brown hair blows in the gusty winds**) I hope that maybe even some will join our quest along the way, and even come back to Kanami with us. If God wiliest, than his will be done. I ask that you pray for the success of this mission to the world. For now we will remain in the Pacific, but someday, we will hit the Atlantic, (**The crowd cheers**) the Xanadou, the Islands, North and South, East and West, someday I feel the Globe will be filled with many democratic nations, and friendly. Pray for us, pray for your family you left behind. Let us start with a prayer for departure. The crowd silences. Heavenly Father, we ask of you, to watch over us, as we do your will, and the will of our own. Watch over this new Republic, let our long journey not be in vain, give us strength on rough waters, and the rough cities. We pray in the name of you our Father, Your son Jesus Christ, Amen."
The people quickly break silence with cheers and applause. The local band plays the national anthem. Yasashii and her fellow crew members board the ship, for a long journey.
What's a guy gotta do to get his RP noticed around here?

OOC: I'll help out. Of course, in the past, Upper Xen was an unstable Confederacy.
IC:
Upper Xen, which has recently fought off both Nihilanthite tyranny and British offense, applauds your action to spread democracy around the world at this time. We would like to send some currency and other needed materials to help you out.
-The Confederation of Upper Xen
OOC: Cool
IC: She wrote a response letter "Thank you for your helpful efforts. If you would so desire, we can stop at your nation, and perhaps aid in stabalizing a fragile government and defending againts tryanny.
Sincerly,
Yasashii Himura
The ship continued it's present course. The sea was begening to get choppy.
"Storm's blowing in Cpt. Kurongane." Yasashii said staring out
"Yes it is." Kurogane replied. Sure you want to do this, once we hit open seas it'll be really rough?"
"I'm no staranger to rough seas. Why when we stubled into Kanami for the first time, it was right after the worst strom I have ever seen. I'm going to go find Michiko, excuse me."
"Yes Ma'am." Yasashii walks into a cabin Michiko, a young dark haired girl is in a state of silent prayer.
"Michiko, I didn't know you we're Catholic."
"Yes. My whole family was atheist. They said I was foolish for beliving in such things. That is why I fled with you. But still I left my family, I feel bad, am I supposed to be loyal to God or to my family?"
"Be greatfull for one. I grew up in a place where religon was forbidden. If you we're caught, it was death. I wish I could relate, but as I am an orphan, I can't. Maybe your family might not belive what you belive, but in a free society one should have the right to belive. I've met so many people, Muslims, Catholics, Jews, Protestants, Agonists, Atheists, Mothodists and Shinto. I could care less, if you want to freedom to belive, and you have the courage to, than you deserve it. Even thoes who don't belive, deserve the same opportunity, as long as they can still respect others for their own. If you ever see your family again, tell them that is what you belive, and if they don't, it's their own loss. You are free to chose."
"You are so smart."
"Just well taught."

OOC: Cool. IC Post coming.

OOC: Just a little clarification, Upper Xen is the nation being visited, New Dornalia is my FT nation. I just use this account to deal with my RPing matters in general; I deeply apologize for the confusion I may have caused.
IC:
The port of Hong Kong was lively as ever, with the ship arriving in the harbor. Congressmen and the President lined up in early-Victorian/Late-Georgian finery, with frock coats and top hats. A podium was assembled, and a crowd had assembled to meet these curious foreigners from abroad, who seemed to wish for democracy as much as they did. An honor guard was assembled, ready to give a 21-gun salute.
The President, who had a speech prepared and a wreath, was rehearsing. A spotter from the Navy was looking out over the Kowloon dock, and said, "Sir! It's the Kanamians! They come!"
The crowd broke out in applause. A launch was sent out, with sailors and a man who, screaming out in Chinese and Japanese, pulled up alongside the ship and said "Welcome to Upper Xen!"
OOC: 'Kay, thank's for the clarification.
Yasashii was growing excited. One of their native langues spoken in Kanami was Japanese.
She bowed. "Greetings, I am Yasashii Himura. This is my partner Michiko. We are honnerd to be here, it's such a lovely nation."

The sailor then said, bowing and in Japanese: "I am Ensign Jiang. My President says you may dock at the Dock up ahead! They are expecting you there. Shall we lead you there?"
"Oh please do. Domo." Yasashii Michiko, and two others armed with revolvers soley for protection of their young prime minister and them selves, all walked down the ramp, and gave a bow to the hospicious people.
"Thank you for your hospitality. We are exicted to meet your president. Please, we would like you to be aware that these two men are armed with revolvers, for our protection. "

IC:
The President then said, smiling and extending his hand forth, said, "In the name of the People of Upper Xen, I extend my welcome, with a hearty handshake. We understand the security needs-still, we would like to provide a Marine Honor Guard to protect you."
The Honor Guard, meanwhile, fired their 21-gun salute, and a cheer broke out.
(OOC: Sorry about the delay)
Michiko looked suprised "All this for us?"
"You get used to it. " Yasashii said.
She gave a bow "Thank you for your warm welcome."

A member of the crowd then said, "Speech! Speech! We will have a speech!"
The President then looked at the crowd, and said to Yashashii and Michiko, "They want you to speak. Do you wish to do so? If not, we can always go to our waiting transport," motioning to a nearby carraige train where the Honor Guard was.
