The Canadian Tundra

*Fresh Water Harvesting facility #3, Northern Water Works Corp.*
John Wilkens watched from the upper level catwalk as a massive iceberg was pulled steadily towards the facility. Around the chunk of ice, normally regarded as a navigation hazard, especially in the northern waters making up the Tundra, a set of specialized ships were tethered to it and guided it into the waiting arms of the harvesting facility. The tethers were cut, and the small flotilla scurried out of the way of the immense hunk of frozen fresh water, which finished its journey into the specialized bay.
The iceberg hit the concrete wall, sending a massive boom echoing across the complex. Workers quickly manipulated controls, and the bay gates closed, sealing it off from the rest of the water. A series of pumps pumped the saltwater from the bay, drying it quickly until only the iceberg remained, sitting alone in its new concrete home. Then more controls were worked, and a cover closed over it. Methan burners built into the bay walls went to work, generating power and heat which would slowly melt the ice into cold freshwater, where pumps would send it into a tanker ship, much like an oil tanker, which would travel to distant, drier lands, and sell off the water to those who needed it.

With deserts expanding, and water slowly set to become the new oil, many nations are finding themselves looking around for new sources of freshwater.
Your search is over, with a network of harvesting facilities and ships, Tundric corporations like Northern Water Works are creating a new, near endless supply of freshwater from the natural ice fields and icebergs found in the Arctic. For a simple fee, this companies can maintain a steady stream of water tankers to whereever you need them.
In addition to established Tundric companies able to supply a near endless amount of water, large parts of the ice shelves remained unclaimed, and there is ample land available for the development of harvesting facilities and foreign companies looking to develop their own stakes in the ice harvesting industry are more than welcome. Contact the Minister of Development or the respective corporations for further information.
