OCC: This thread is linked to the World War of Nation States. It centers around the raids conducted by the Fleets of Prince Rothbart who is using these operations to fund a upcoming war with my main nation, The Kingdom of Fourhearts. Currently, this fleet is only operating off the coast of Topal. Rothbart is being paid by Topal to sieze Comacita's shipping. Prince Rothbart was interested in the current developments in the Northern Sushi Region as well as Comacita. There was buisness to be made.

The Queen of Spades ruled the seas. They made quite a profit raiding commerce and trade. Thier pirate fleets were a mix of darkly painted submarines, patrol craft, and barges.

The Black Cross was a unique vessel. To the untrained eye it appeared to be a very large cargo barge, but it was really a battleship. Cargo containers opened up to reveal 6 inch guns, missile launchers, and anti-aircraft guns.

They would strike quickly and silently. Ruthless men would emerge from their submarines and board the vessel. They would sneak quiety and silently end the lives of the vessels crew. Sometimes they would keep the ship, and sometimes they would sabatoge it, sometimes The Black Cross would use it for target practice.

Rothbart had bigger plans than just to pillage and plunder. War was erupting. For a fee, Prince Rothbart would offer to raid enemy shipping. Often the fee was minimal, the raiders got to keep what they took. Weapons, fuel, ammunition, food, oil, and equipment. Out of the hands of thier clients enemy and into the hands of those that would crush the Kingdom of Fourhearts.

Rothbart began drafting a message.

The Kingdom of Fourhearts had no idea of the forces plotting against it, but this was not to say they were not prepared for a possible invasion. The Home Guard was installing DMG Impact MLRS along the coast lines and placing the finishing touches on coastal artillary.

The Blood Dagger was one of the first in Prince Rothbart's fleet to spot enemy shipping. The target appeared to be one of Comatica's supply vessels. While most of their combat ships were foward engaged in the bombing of Topal, their supply ships were not as escorted as they normally were.

Which meant that it was ripe for the picking.

"SIR! Comatician supply barge 20 clicks northwest of our position.... Appears unescorted...."
Captain Darkcrest responded immediatly, "Commo: Inform The Black Cross! Raiders: Prepare to Board! Engine Room: All ahead quiet! All Hands: Commence operational silence!"
The dark vessel began turing toward her prey...

Rothbart has also made the offer to nations on the Northern Sushi Front, but has not recieved a good reply.
OOC: We made a counter offer you are bound to like.

OOC: Looking good.

Now that Norhern Sushi had accepted his offer, the larger pirate fleet would move into action.

Two dozen nuclear submarines, thirty supply barges, and six sqaudrons of 84' cutters raced towards North Sushiian waters. The fleet was small, but flexible. It was not designed to fight and destory and enemy navy or decimate a coast line. It was design to raid, to hit and run, to steal, to plunder.

The darkly painted ships glistened in the moonlight as they headed for the hunt.

OOC: You can raid a few Comatic vessels.

OCC: Ok, I didn't know if you wanted to RP it or not. If not, then heeerree we go!

Across the sea, the raiders were making short work of the lightly defended Comatican shipping.

The first ship to go down was a ship carrying food and water for Comatican soliders. The Submarine Vengence pulled up beside it and twelve divers swam up to the surface.

As the first raider raised his head, he could see three men smoking on the deck of the ship. He unslung his machine gun and fired a burst.

They quickly ran across the surface of the ship killing everything in thier path. The supply ships were amazingly lightly defended. Soon they were in control of the vessel.

The sence was repeated over and over again as raiders took control of supply ships and tankers.

OCC: Comatica, can you list what cargos I've stolen?

" Sir, we've a report that a commando group out of Fourspades has sunk a Grey Legion tanker, but suffered 100% casualties when a dozen Vhammpyrian Wraiths caught up with the commandos and decapitated them. Check out the pics on the web."

Ghengiz strode over to the commscreen. " Well, I'll be damned! Those Wraiths are some of the most gruesome looking things I've seen in a long time."

The pictures of the Wraiths WERE gruesome. They were covered in blood, and four of them were holding the severed heads of the Fourspadian commandos. Several of the heads had bites taken out of them.

" Sir, don't we need to let the Duke know about the tanker?"

Ghengiz looked amused. " No, sergeant, we don't. Astran knows all about the commando boarding party, as well as the sub that brought them to the tanker. Don't worry......Fourspades and their counterpart Fourhearts, will pay dearly............"

OCC: Comatica, can you list what cargos I've stolen?

OOC: I wouldn't exactly know. I trust you, so you can list whatever you think is fair to say.

IC: "Madam Vulcanerum, there's a report here for you," said Gaia Quoderum, a Trade Ministry secretary.

Drusilla Vulcanerum, the Trade and Commerce Minister, murmured her approval, not looking up from her work. Gaia set down the manilla folder on Drusilla's desk and returned to her own.

After several minutes, Drusilla looked up and scanned the contents of the report, raising her eyebrows at it's claims. '....Raiding commerce ships?' she thought to herself. 'Judging from their attack methods, they're infinitely more civilized than the Black and Grey. And the situation hasn't become dire yet, so Truitt most likely is not the culprit....'

Drusilla continued to think, and scribbled a memo to Tiro Santaelium, the Defense Minister, explaining the situation. She suggested more heavy armaments, such as deck guns, grenades, and possibly even depth chargers. But this would only make Tiro's job more difficult; he was up to his neck in requests as it was.
