Operation Footprint *Earth II* (Attn All Nations in Australia)

Terronian
02-01-2006, 07:48
The Terron nation is in desperate shape as overcrowdness and over population have drastically hurt the nation, which is limited to the Southern Territory in Australia, and a few small islands in the Pacific. This set the stage for Operation Footprint.

Encrypted Code to Azimeth

Greetings, currently the overcrowdness of Terronian is becoming unbearable, we ask that all your lands in Australia be sold to Terronian, we will pay the price you paid to N Germania as well as pay for the newly given lands that you have recieved. Tasmania is yours to keep, and you will have protection from our military. We await your response.

Minutes After the Code Is Sent
The Grand Duchy Dimitri Tabolov is sitting in a large brown overely stuffed leather chain. He is in a room, dark with cigar smoke as various generals and Advisors are talking. A heavy man clearly out of breath dressed sharply in a military uniform comes into the door.

Man:Sorry I am late, but you know these streets, to many people.

Tabolov: Do not worry Yuri, why Vladimir over here just arrived 2 minutes ago, we all know the circumstances.

Vladimir:Which is why this meeting is taken place.

Tabolov:Anyway boys, now that Yuri has arrived we may begin, the message has been sent to Azimath requesting there land, we need it and need it despratly. Our are willing to except there offers as well but there lands are newly aquired which could make them reluctant to hand it over.

Yuri:What if they refuse?

Tabolov:Then its gonna be pioneers and indians.

The men around the table laugh as Tabolov begins throwing papers onto the desk, as he does so A sharply dressed Generals walks to the side of a room, turns on a projector which comes on, on top in large bold letters, it read, Operation Footprint.
http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/1850/phase12dj.jpg

General:Now then, operation Footprint is all about nuetralizing the enemy's ability of fighting back using limited forces. As you see on the map, the Nintra, Aeger and Southern Fleet will shove off from Kraska Naval Base. The Southern and Aeger fleet will approuch Tasmania and blockade it, while the Nintra Fleet will head for the Victoria Territory blockading it there.

3 fleets will also shove off from this naval base here to do the same to there claim of the Western Territory. Apart from that, the highlighted Air bases have been activated to gain air superiority over the territorys. We will once again demand the land and still offer to pay, if they refuse again, there crippled territorys will be no match for our Armed Forces, we will take them by force, and with air supiority, we should be able to quickly bom important destinations both Civic and Military.

The men around the table look at the plans and solemly nod there heads.

"Well lets hope it does not come to that" says one of the advisors....

OOC - More like: Operation - Be Smashed by Multiple Nations

IC to come after allowing a few others to notice this.
Terronian
02-01-2006, 08:50
OOC:I realise most likely, it will ioncite the wrath of quite abit, but its just a well fact, that those areas would not be enough to house 4 billion poeple, I am currently for this world going by half scale, so I am only looking for land of 2 billion poeple, which would roughly smaller then the whole of Australia. Its either die from overcrowdness or die from other poeple. Also, were giving a peaceful option.

IC:Nations are only suppose to know about the deal, Footprint is a secret.

TO: The Bastardly Nation of Terronian
FROM: The Imperial Republic of Azimeth and All Colonies Within

"Emperor Jacob Komech II refuses to give up any lands rightfully acclaimed by the Azimethian government for whatever reason. If military force is used, please know that multiple nations will rush to our aid."

Signed,
General Aero Idalo, Chief of Staff
Azimethian Military Forces

Immediately, Komech II sent what military naval forces to various parts of Southern Australia. He knew that Terronian would be eager for war - and if it was what Terronian wanted, Komech would give him a fight.

OOC: 4 billion against 10 million. Sweet, thanks a bunch dick.

Camp Broken Hill, Broken Hill, New South Wales

The duty at Camp Broken Hill was calm and peaceful for the men of the Mekaniserte Infanteridivisjon 64. The division was equipped with the newest and best equipment available to man, ST-39K1 Mekhev II next generation battle tanks, redesignated M39A1 Mekhev II by the Norwegian military were in the division, along with the Norwegian M11 Viking family (IFV/CFV and FAADV) and various other units. The 1,438 officers and 12,600 infantry, as well as the support detail of 5,800 men were responsible for protecting a sector of the border 700 kilometers long. Not all by themselves mind you, but mostly them. They assisted the Border Guards, who were equipped with brand new MV-87 Coba VTOL transports/gunships designed and constructed by the Armed Republic of Soviet Bloc, a close ally of the Kingdom through the October Alliance. Right now, a Regiment was out protecting the border while the other regiments and units relaxed and rested. The divisions commanding officer, generalmajor Mike Wallace, an Australian of birth wandered into the office of the divisional intelligence company to check on the status of the border.

"Everything's in order sir. No reported violations."

"Good. How about our new neighbors? How are they doing?"

The Norwegian military kept a close eye on the actions of the neighbor militaries, as they never knew what might happen there. Perhaps they would invade, perhaps they would be invaded by a foreign force.

"There's a rumor going about some foreign nation wanting to buy South Australia and Victoria, but nothing more concrete than that sir."

"Alright. Thanks."

With that, the general left the office and walked down the corridor of the five story red brick building and up to his own office, where he placed the division on heightened alert, just in case. Generalmajor Mike Wallace was a paranoid man from birth, and he hadn't improved one bit! Twenty minutes later, the M39s and other combat vehicles were rolled out and readied for immediate deployment. The same thing happened to the AH-64D Apaches and AH-75B Stalkers in the divisions aviation regiment.

"Get the fleet on alert. We're moving to Victoria." Said Idalo. The overcast skies rolled over the clouds like snow against the leaves of fall. The ANS Azim, the proud flagship of the Azimethian Navy, stood triumphantly against the violent shores of the Azimethian harbor. Aircraft took off and on regularly, their loud jets streaming with the loud noise of planning and panic in all around the main harbor. Aero sighed and took off his beach white cap, scratching his head and looking around. Men of the 2nd Guards Infantry began to board several transport ships heading to Victoria and various areas around Southern Australia. It was more than obvious now that Azimeth would be ready for any kind of attack from any foreign territory in the Pacific.

"I wonder...Maybe the Emperor is over-doing it? Should we really sacrifice most, if not all, of our military forces to defend a couple colonies?" Asked an officer close to Idalo. He looked right, and smiled as he climbed aboard the fleet carrier. The long rope bridge swayed left and right is he held onto the rope railings for support.

"You best not speak out loud of it, should you think so, Joseph. He has ears everywhere..."

"I know that, sir. It's just that I think this is a serious misallocation of valuable military resources. Sir."

"How so? In what other way would you divert them? We have a serious matter at our hands, possibly a God damn war." Snapped the General.

"Sir, I just think we should negotiate a peaceful plan rather than war. My grandfather died in a war, sir. Airborne, sir. I'm simply thinking that we should find another way out."

"He died in the army, so you joined the navy?" Laughed the General. He stepped aboard the Azim, as it streamed out of Tasmania harbor, ready for war. Joseph scolded himself for such a rude and rash statement, then took a seat in the general's quarters.

FYI

Decree 7: When role-playing in Earth II we would like all of you to take some things into consideration. The International Incidents forum moves at varying speeds. Sometimes posts will move to the second page in minutes, other times in hours. In order to distinguish between Earth II and non-Earth II I ask that you include, in the topic title, Earth II. You can place it anywhere in the title but just please use it. For example, [Earth II]Layarteb Annexes Colodia... This is the first part of your process. Secondly, if you begin a role-play in Earth II you must post the link, at minimum, in the main thread. The title is always helpful but it is not required. By doing such, you inform all those in Earth II as it is their responsibility to keep current with Earth II and nobody can complain that they weren't informed. This is to protect both the thread starter and the integrity of the role-play.

OOC: Azimeth, you're only new here and already your beginning to annoy the hell out of me. While what may be happening is not fair, you won't win too many points with your current attitude. For example:

As quoted by Azimeth

OOC: 4 billion against 10 million. Sweet, thanks a bunch dick.

Its funny, coz I swear it said in the EII Charter 'BE MATURE'. Oh yeah, it did say that.

Terronian may be condemned here, but I would be loathe to support someone with such an attitude as yours.

OOC: How mature of you.
Azimeth
03-01-2006, 00:07
OOC: Is that sarcasm? Sorry, can't detect it on internet. Afterall, it is just text. If it is, then I don't understand how it isn't being what you define as "mature"? I was simply helping you with a markup mistake.
Hirgizstan
03-01-2006, 00:08
OOC: Is this guy SERIOUS?
Azimeth
03-01-2006, 00:13
OOC: Hirgizstan, I don't understand? If it is an apology you want, then I'm sorry, and I realize I have been what you call "immature" to other nations - however my statement still stands. It's very rude for this nation to pick on me simply because I got land, fair, mind you - that he needs for "living space". I could see if he was of equal population, and maybe we could have a fair fight - but he is...4 billion people strong? That's a possible 40 million-man military, compared to my 1 million - which is at 10%, and that's as far as I'm willing to push.
Hirgizstan
03-01-2006, 00:15
OOC: You might not be invaded, lots of people have interests in Australia and they could all do without war on their doorstep. We'll see what happens. But just keep the insults down, you get along better that way. Also, remember things aren't fair in EII, if they were, it wouldn't be very realistic.

An overweight General burst into Dimitri Tabolov's room.

General:Sir, we have reports Azimeth battle fleets have left Tasmania on approuch to Victoria, close to our shores.

Tabolov:This is startling, something must have spooked them to our plans, no matter, I believe, we can turn this into a posotive, I wish to make an announcement before the people.

*Few Minutes Later on TV*

Greetings comrades and friends around the world, as of this morning, our offer to buy Azimeth lands was answeree, but not by a yes or no answer, instead, War fleets have began leaving Azimeth territorys for waters closer to Terronian shores.

We are seeking a peaceful resolution, but if these actions continue and our demeands are not met, we will deal with this threat with hostile force.

OOC:Azimeth, dude, I am using extremely limited number of my troops on you, if I unleashed my full military on you, you would not stand a chance, I thought I was being pretty nice in that aspect.

I am probaly only going to throw about 2 or 3 Corps into the fight unless other nations get involved.

"God...damn...it." Whispered Komech under his breath. He sighed as his head slumped in his hand. Forcefully, his hands collapsed, folded over his desk, and his head went down with it. He let out an angry groan as his Secretary of Defense stood by him.

"What the hell are we going to do?" He asked, as he looked over the recent activation and reconassiance of military forces in Southern Australia. Several divisions and regiments, all of Terronian origin, had gone on alert - and a presence of a large fleet was stationed off the coast.

"Where are our bombers?" He asked. "Get them airborne."

"But si -"

"Do it!" He yelled, once again. Everything was falling into place. Terronia's news broadcast, their demand of Azimethian lands and the recent activity in Southern Australia meant only one thing - warfare. Should they wish for combat, the Emperor would strike first. "Get everything airborne, now! Hit them!"
Terronian
03-01-2006, 00:44
OOC:Striking first may not, have been the wisest decision ever, I really was looking for a peaceful solution.

IC:Countries of the world, today, Terronian was attacked by bombers from Azimeth, in response, peration Footprint is being put to effect, the various fleets and planes are carrying there jobs in hopes of subdueing these threats.

8 Miles From Tasmanian Shore-TNS Kestrel-Flagship of Aeger Fleet

The Carrier Kestrel was chopping the water silently as it approuched closer to the Tasmanian shore, luckily, in this war, enemys were close, amking quick strikes and travel, easy. Admiral Steyven Versekis watched out over the ship. A young Petty Officer approuched him.

"Sir, Terronian fleet around Australia have reached there detinations, our fleet is waiting for your order".

The admiral waved him off, but nodding his head, meaning yes. Operation Footprint was no more, it had been a strategy to cripple Azimeth in giving there land, no thanks to there strikes, it was war they would be recieving. New orders had come in, destroy all coast defenses, then the TNS Durkakis a Navy Marine Ship would deploy a Division of marines on the Tasmania coast to establish a beach head, wil the Terronina Ground Defense Force(Army) would be deploying the III Corps to Attack Azimeth lands in West Australia, and the VI Corps would be invading Victoria, all from the land.

The marines were going to have the most dangerous job, establishing a beachead on Tasmania, and spearheading an assualt. Terronian had no interest in controlling Tasmania, but, if they were to win the war, they were goij g to have to fully cripple the Azimethians.

A radio message from Central (Short for Military Central Command) blared over the intercom. "Aeger fleet, coordinates are being sent via S.A.T feed, civilian targets are being spared, you may fire when ready. The Southern Fleets new orders are to hunt all Azimeth ships between Tasmania and Australia, god be with us men.

Let me check my notebook.

Terronian Operates 15 Whole Groups, a Group in Terronian is 4 Wings, a Wing has 3 Squadrons.

7 Fighter Groups

4 Bomber Groups

2 Tactical Groups

2 Specialty Groups

A Sqraudon has rougly 20 planes.

After this whole fiasco is over, I will ahev to finish that guide, this war kinda caught me off guard.

OOC:

1.) I have 2,000 attackers, 2,400 bombers and 7,000 fighters - all of which attacked your naval forces, simultaneously [all at once] and under complete surprise, and you're telling me you took 800 casualties, MOSTLY military?! I call shenanigans.

2.) It appears my fleet doesn't exist? In order to conduct an amphibious invasion on any of my territories, you'd have to battle the Azimethian navy. Just because I moved my capitol ship to Victoria doesn't mean I moved my entire fleet there. I have 2 carriers and 2 battleships in Victoria, the rest of my navy is home, where it's supposed to be. TASMANIA. Meaning your entire amphibious invasion force could be wiped out since you completely ignored my navy.

3.) Your country is so large that I demand a full and completed ORBAT from you as soon as you can write it. For all I know, you could be making up imaginary divisions and regiments as you go along raping my country.
Terronian
03-01-2006, 02:32
OOC:Serously, your digging up what ever you can to stop me from attacking you, look homes, if you had read my post, the plan was to apnhibous assault your Island, if you also read, I sent a fleet ahead of the Aeger fleet to attack the Azimith fleet.

You enever did state how many fighters bomber etc took place in your attack, therefore, I have the right to assume it was a small surgical strike on a target.

I have ADD, so I have a had time sitting here writing an ORBAT, I can get it to you, I have a notebook where I wirte everything about my country, but whenever I go to write factbooks here, I can never finish them. When I can I will get it up.

Just remember, your saying how I am raping your land, YOU ATTACKED ME! I was hoping you would give me your land, for money, I would give you my pacific islands, and everything would be fine, you have a small nation, you did'nt need all that land. You started the war so dont be bitchin at me with demands.

1. Both of you need to be more specific

2. Both of you need to quit with the OOC insults

3. Only a single post is necessary to get a point across

4. Azimeth, I really don't think a nation as small as yours could have 11,400 planes, but if you can supply a logical reason, I'm fine

5. Calm down and start over once Terronian gets his numbers up.

6. Can I have a donut? :p

Yeah I can roleplay, I just dont have alot to go off of at the moment, last I Rped was, NS World, and everything was diamond clear, as far as numbers and such, plus I am on a wrestling E-Fed. Like Kreynoria said, we start over, I have to write a guide, I am tieing myself to the chair right now, god this is gonna be hard.

The men sat patiently in the meeting room, with a side of un-easyness. All the top Generals of Japan's newly reformed Republican Army read on cautiosly, un-sure of what to do exactly next. They all eyed each other in one instance as one of them stood up, and explained to them his thoughts.

Operation - Black Thunder, Location - Off the Coast of Perth

'Perth...what a beautiful sight...what a beautiful ocean...much like the Motherland...too bad though...too bad for these damned wars...perhaps, but not likely, these waters will be dyed red, but I shall make every effort to make sure that dye does not venture too far from those afar...must I always be the one to give the order?' This was the very thoughts that crossed Admrial Irichumoro's head, as he rubbed away at his temples. He sighed, seeming to be the ump-teenth time in the past three minutes, and he went on to speak with all of his ships' Captains. A meeting was thrown together, and all the Captains made available in under 20 minutes. There, as they sat speaking of the un-innevitable, the high command of this new Operation spoke over what each and every ship would be doing. It was made clear that no infantry would be needed, but were to be kept aside just incase. As of now, all of Western Australia was under Lock-down, especially the parts suited to be a future hot-spot for the Imperialists who would be taking it in their own glory.

Offisial response

"The Kingdom strongly condemns the agressive actions taken by Terronia, and strongly urge them to remove themselves from Australia and Tasmania, lest the Kingdom be forced to take action to ensure the protection of its Australian dominion."

**************

New South Wales
The order went out to put the entirety of the southern border on full alert status. The leaves were cancelled, army units were mobilized and border checkpoints reinforced. Attack helicopters patrolled the border more intensely, while fighter aircraft flew overhead. The Anti-Stealth System (Top Secret IC) was fully operational, and the Norwegians could see anything within 60 kilometers of their border. If anything threatening was seen, the Norwegians would fire first and ignore the questions. A simple feat when equipped with either F-22B Raptors armed with AIM-120D AMRAAMs and AIM-204B Dødsengels or F-63K Tengriys armed with the same weaponry.

Somewhere between Tasmania and southern Australia
The three Murmansk class submarines lurked deep below the waves near Tasmania. At 460 meters to be more precise. That was deep enough to avoid most submarines. That, combined with the rubber coating on the outer hulls, the highly sound-absorbing special foam between the pressure hull and the outer hull of the subs, the highly quiet pebblebed nuclear reactor and silent propeller ensured that the Murmansk would stay quiet and thus undetectable to passive sonar. The sound-absorbing materials also reduced the chances of active sonar some distance away from detecting it, and thus getting a firing sollution on it. The 130 strong crew manned the systems vigilantly, and the weapons it carried were no less formidable. The primary weapon against other submarines and surface ships was the Mark-68 Mod 1 'Sjøorm' heavy torpedo which had replaced the old Mark-48 Mod 9 ADCAPs the Norwegian Navy had used in the past. Also against submarines was the lightweight ASW torpedo Mark-50 Mod 2 Barracuda, while the anti-surface ship weapon was the UGM-84L Harpoon anti shipping missile and the UGM-203 Imsdal cruise missile. All of the weapons were formidable, and the best part was that no one knew the three Murmansks were there. Heck, no one apart from the highest-ranking officers and the crews of the subs knew that the class even existed, and they were sworn to silence. The same went for the people who built them.

Right now, the three subs were somewhere in the area between Tasmania and southern Australia, lurking in the depths. With the maximum operating depth of the Murmansk class being 670 meters and the crush depth a little more than 700 meters, the Murmansks could easily avoid the surface ships above. Orders from the command authorities were to track down and kill Terronian surface warships, preferably carriers and battleships if they had any. Officially, the Kingdom would deny any actions performed by their secret submarines, and the cookie was that they could do that without anyone being able to prove that the Kingdom had been involved, as the subs that did the dirty deeds were highly classified!

OOC Terronia, got a listing of ships in the area?

Men from Terronia slapped onto the beach as machine-gun fire and mortars pounded them as they moved up. Tasmania was guarded by the best of the best - the 2nd Guards Division. Not afraid of death, they opened up with all of their firepower inside their foxholes and cement bunkers. Beach obstacles blocked the way for the Terronian tanks, should any arrive. Close air support began to arrive, and 500 A-12 attack aircraft dropped their bombs on the approaching landing craft, hoping to hit something.

3,000 Fighters from several divisions began to launch their harpoon missiles as well against the Terronian navy stationed off the coast bombarding the Azimethian beaches. With any luck, the defense would be a success - but the battle could go in anyone's favor.

Patriarch Michelosis meeting in a secret room under the palace with Generals George Bryennius and Manuel Lascaris, the two best generals in the Kreynoria Imperial Army, as well as other high commanders, including General Valerie Statiocus, Grand Admiral William Hammers, air marshals John Mitchell and Michael Cerian, Head of Intelligence Norman Fortin, and Head of Paramilitary Forces Jack Winter.

Patriarch Michelosis: So I see that the invasion of Azimeth is continuing, despite our ultimatum. But we aren't going to fail our end of the bargain, eh boys?
*All laugh*
Patriarch Michelosis: So now we need a plan of action, I'm not much of a military man, so this is where you come in. I have kindly asked General Lascaris to prepare a battle plan for us. You have it ready?
General Lascaris: Yes sir. Our foremost objective at the moment is to stop the invasion of Azimeth. To this end, we will send two amphibious assault fleets along with the Super Dreadnought Battlefleet. That should easily be able to deal with any naval assets they have in the area and support our ground forces. We will land the 3rd and 8th Armoured Divisions, the 12th Mechanized Infantry, the 7th Combat Engineer, and the 2nd and 3rd Air Defense. All of these forces have had training in both desert and urban combat. The 3rd Armoured, 7th Combat Engineer, and 3rd Air Defense will go to Tasmania, the 8th Armoured and 2nd Air Defense to Victoria, and the 12th Mechanized to Western Australia. Should it become necessary, these forces can coordinate an invasion of Terronian Australia along with Azimeth and other allied forces. We are hoping we won't have to invade the rest of their territories, but if it is a necessity, an overwhelming missile and air strike followed up by naval assault should be enough to take their islands. The 4th Mechanized Infantry is also familiar with New Caledonia.

The various commanders and heads of departments debated for some time. It was decided that the troop deployments to Australia would remain the same, but a more detailed plan was made for the attacks on Terronian's Pacific Islands.

The generals and commanders departed, the invasion fleet, which was at anchor in Pearl Harbor, the lower Solomons, and Reunion Island, was prepared for an invasion

Statement of the Neuvo Rican Empire:

Whilst we may have normally condemned the actions taken by Terronian, we also view the attitude of the nation of Azimeth as being inappropriate. We are taking no military procedures, but three long range bomber squadrons on Juan de Nova island have been placed on alert, to attack any nation that may disrupt VCO interests in the general area. Otherwise, we hope this will come to a peaceful conclusion.

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION [TO TERRONIA]

COMMONWEALTH OF HIRGIZSTAN

DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

HIRGIZSTAN CITY, HCCV

In line with the reactions of other nations the Commonwealth will consider sending a sizeable Naval and Marine force into International waters near Australia.

If attacks on Azimeth do not cease immediately then force will be applied to bring about this conclusion. The actions of the Terronian Government have put the peace of the area into dire jeopardy and threaten to unstabalize a vital area of the globe. This is unacceptable.

Our ultimatum is simple: We demand an immediate cease fire from both Terronia and Azimeth, and then a complete withdrawal of Terronian forces from the area around Azimeth. This is non-negotiable.

[From: Emperor Jacob Komech II, Elector of the Imperial Republic of Azimeth and All Colonies Within]

Should the island nation of Terronia wish to surrender to the Azimethian government, the following conditions shall be met:

1.) You will surrender Southern Australia to the Imperial Republic of Azimeth.

2.) You will issue an official cease-fire on all Azimethian forces in all theatres of operations.

3.) Our nations will build embassies in both capitols for assurance of complete and total alliance.

OOC: Okay, for all you new guys: N Germania is a puppet for the nation North Germania, which explains why I have so much land. Also, I request that when speaking about me, address the nation as "the Reich" or "the Fourth Reich".

Also, I've got a small fleet stationed at a port in Tasmania. It's there to maintain a naval presence in the Pacific. I believe it's in some place called "Azim" or "Azis", something like that. Anyway, if ONE of my ships is attacked or ONE sailor injured or killed, my military power will turn against whoever the aggressor was.

-----------------------------------------------

The Reich had issued no official stance on the matter at hand, except that if any of its assets in Tasmania come under attack, it will retaliate with full-force and with the backing support of the October Alliance.

Tasmania...

The Prinz Eugen Class Heavy Battleship was set to the highest readiness stance, the six Fks-119 Missile Ships armed every weapon system they had, the two U-300 Class attack submarines patrolled the area, and two Königsberg Class Light Battleships patrolled just outside of the port. Still at dock was the Berlin Class Aircraft Carrier, holding 79 various aircraft.

Should one ship come under fire from Terronian forces, they entire fleet would be mobilized and then supported by the 4th Fleet, which had just set sail from South Africa towards Australia.

- Official Communique -
From: Reichskanzler Heydrich Kübler
To: All Involved Parties
Subject: Australia

"Due to the recent tensions in Australia and the current war occuring there, the Fourth Reich has declared neutrality on the matter, but will not hesitate to strike the aggressor should Cotland or any other of the Reich's allies come under attack.

"Furthermore, I wish it to be known to all parties that a portion of the 8th Fleet, stationed in Tasmania, is stationed there and acting merely to maintain a German naval presence in the Pacific. Those ships will not attack unless threatened or attacked themselves.

"I request that Terronian maintain a distance of at least two and one-half square kilometers from the fleet at all times, on land, sea, and air. Should any Terronian military asset come any closer, we will open fire as this will be considered an act of aggression and warfare.

"You have been warned."

Excuse me Signor.

1) I have all of that too, but do you realize the logistics it takes to use them all at once? I don't do that, it's insane. I would understand if you were the defender, maybe, but you're on the offence. Therefore, aren't you waving your mantool of steel a bit too much?

2) And how do you know that? Let's see what happens.

3) Sir, I've been doin' that for the last few months that this nation has existed. Well not that much, but it's how most nations who RP start. Hell, I remember making up random characters, regiments, and divisions on the fly. And I still had fun. The fact that you're obsessing over this is a bit... really, it's horrible.

Also stop insulting each other, it's a game. A game with no pictures, but text. It really is a bad image for us IIers ye know. Then again who am I to judge? (Ba dum chh)

OOC: Here you go

Operation Footprint was commenced by Terronian when Azimeth refused to sell his Australian territories. His motive is living space for his huge population.

Terronian sent multiple naval elements to blockade and attack Azimeth in West Australia, Tasmania, and Victoria.

In response to this, Azimeth launched on all-out air assault on Terronian's fleet.

Terronian landed men on Tasmania and began battle with Azimeth's 2nd Guards Division.

Kreynoria, Psychotika, Cotland, and Layarteb have all mobilized military forces in response the situation.

Kreynoria, RomeW, and Huahin have issued statements to Terronian ddemanding a ceasefire and withdrawal.

Kreynoria and Huahin are both allied to Azimeth, as are Soviet Sith and Very Hungry Orcas, who have not yet responded.

Cotland appears to support Azimeth.

Hirgizstan, The Island of Rose, and North Germania have both demanded an immediate ceasefire of both sides from a neutral standpoint.

Neuvo Rica is torn between Terronian's aggression and Azimeth's statements and have no stance.

After the warfare started for real right next door to the Norwegian holdings of Australia, the local Australian government convened for an emergency meeting. The government consisted of elected local politicians, with the head of government being the Norwegian Viceroy, selected by the King to oversee Australia. This was not a act of foreign influence however, as the Viceroy was Australian. He had sworn allegiance to the Kingdom and now ruled over Australia along with the local government. In the Parliament building in Canberra, the discussions were going on over what to do. Should they do nothing and hope nothing would come to them, or should they call Oslo and ask for federal assistance? After five hours of debate, a new suggestion was voiced. They could declare neutrality and raise the readiness levels, preparing for war to maintain peace. If any of the warring parties planned to attack Norwegian Australia, they might be dissuaded by the prepared military and call it off. If they didn’t, then at least the Norwegians would be ready. The only problem was that only the Federal government in Oslo could declare increased readiness status for the military. The vote was cast, and the clear majority was in favor of raising the alert status. The only opposition was from the socialist party, which held only three seats in the two-hundred-seventy-five seat Parliament. The call needed to be made.

After the Viceroy had informed the government in Oslo of the situation and the situation analyzed, the government and the King convened to decide what to do. The debate went around a bit before they decided to increase the readiness in Australia to BERSTAT-3.

The Norwegian readyness scale went from 5 to 0, with 5 being normal peacetime readiness and 0 all-out nuclear war. The military had never been higher than BERSTAT-2 before, which meant was that war was imminent. Now, with the readyness levels being raised to BERSTAT-3, that meant that all leaves were cancelled, all military units went to highest peacetime alert and out of the garrisons into prepared defensive positions along the border, and that the Home Guards were mobilized for duty. All naval vessels put to sea, and the Air Force increased their patrols. All aircraft were advised to stay at least fifty kilometers away from the border, and if they had to cross the border, to do so in the three air corridors that crossed the border.

Yulara Depot, Northern Territory
Three hours after the mobilization orders had been issued, the reservists started arriving at their mobilization areas dressed in their old uniforms. These part-time soldiers normally showed up here once every four weeks to retain their skills. The last time they had met was ten days ago, when they requalified for the AG7 rifles they were armed with. M2010A1 Bushmaster IMVs and M2008A1 Dingo APVs equipped with MG26A1 heavy machine guns stood ready to transport the infantry units to their defensive areas.. The Home Guards were mainly motorized infantry, but they knew the terrain and how to fight in and survive it better than any invading forces. They also fought for their homes and families, and that made them fight harder than anyone else. The Home Guards were instructed to get to their defensive positions to cover the gaps in the “fence” that weren’t covered by the regular units. The Norwegians concentrated on the strategically important places in their defensive plans, as they had enough territory to fight on a flexible front untill they had amassed enough forces to kill the enemy in one decisive battle. A-10D Thunderbolt IIs and attack helicopters could thin out the enemy lines while they went along in the Australian desert, along with raiding ground units such as the armored cavalry regiments. The Norwegians were on the defensive now, with a total of 43 division-size and 18 brigade-size units from the regular army and 29 Regiments, a total of 101,500 reservists from the Home Guard 20 kilometers from the borders shared with Azimeth and Terronia, ensuring Norwegian neutrality. The Japaneese border remain relatively unguarded, but still well enough protected to ensure that if the Japaneese tried anything, they would be stalled for long enough to send the reserve forces to barr them while the Norwegians called for help from the October Alliance.

Dude, nobody won... it's like a friggen Korea. But whatever MAN.

The Korean War resulted in a stalemate of small territory exchange and peace talks at Kaesong which lasted a year. The cease-fire was signed because of virtual trench-warfare on both fronts, and the last major operation was not done by North Korean soldiers to the north, but by Chinese stragglers who failed to withdraw back across the parallel and were instead viewed as "pawns" by the Chinese military.

This war resulted in the lack of activity of a major player, in this case the instigator - NOT trench warfare and little territory gain. Had Terronia participated [he could not due to personal life, I'm assuming] the war would not have been a stalemate due to his large population of 4 billion, surpassing far more than any military force the Pacifinesian alliance or Japan could muster.

This is NOT Korea.

Along the border
The many units on the border suddenly recieved a new message: "Stand down to BERSTAT-5." The message came as a surprise to many of the men, regulars as well as reservists, but they happily obeyed. One by one, the mighty M39A1 Mekhev II next-generation battle tanks reversed out of the defensive positions, turned the turret back towards the base, and drove home. On the way home, racing in 60 kilometers per hour over the desert, the units all stopped near a massive civilian convoy who gave each vehicle a coldbox filled with ice and Fosters Beer. It was a gift to the brave soldiers who were ready to die to defend their country from the good people at Fosters, and the soldiers knew how to appreciate it. "G'day mate. Cheers!" was a repeating thank-you from the men before they sat in their vehicles and drank good cold beer, celebrating that it didn't turn serious. This time.

As the vehicles entered their respective bases, flying the regimental colors and looking damned smashing in their disruptive pattern uniforms, helmets and rifles, the families and newscrews got good pictures for the evening news. If for nothing else, the increase in readyness had shown that the system worked. A few people hadn't showed up, but later investigations by the Military Police would reveal that most of them were abroad on holidays. As for those who simply didn't show up, they would be arrested and trialled before a military court, charged with disobeying a direct order, a sentence which was punishable by 3 months to 8 years imprisonment, depending on the importance of the order issued.

Somewhere off Tasmania
The submarines also recieved orders to stand down. They hadn't fired on any ship yet, and it appeared that they wouldn't have to either. The Murmansk class remained untested in real combat operations, something which might be for the better. The potential political ramifications in case someone found out that there were Norwegian subs in the area sinking ships was not a popular thought, and now the subs hauled ass out of the Azimethian territorial waters, making roughly 18 knots at 520 meters. The Murmansk class was rated as silent up to 25 knots, and at that depth, there was no cavitation that could reveal its existance.

Miles Off The Coast of Tasmania
*No troops have yet to land on Tasmania, dont know what you guys have read*

A pasty faced stweard aboard the TNS Buzzad, the Flagship of the Northern Fleet, comes running into the command deck. Admiral Georgy Zhukov, commander of the fleet, spills his coffee as the lads burst through the door.

STEWARD:Sir, radars report, we have the Azimeth fleet off our port. We need your orders for a str...

ZHUKOV:Please, quite quite, I must think, no, Operation Footprint, has been a dissaster already, we sprang late, and Azimeth, even after attacking us first, has managed to amass quite an alliance against us, personally, I feel there fleet will be easy pickings, but, I am troubled by the movement of other fleets around the world, the last thing we need is a ocean hellfire to erupt, and so close to Tasmania, every stray shell that hits the land will be blamed on us.

STEWARD:Sir, if I may be bold, it cant be helped, Azimeth has already declared they will not stop until they take Southern Australia, and crippleour people, I spent most of my life in a 10x10 foot apartment, I got a house know, and I am not going back.

ZHUKOV:You are right, how many bombers on board the Buzzard?

STEWARD:20 sir, and I belive the TNS Yujian that Assualt SHip has 10 Attackers.

ZHUKOV:Are we close enough to the mianland for air assitant?

STEWRD:Yes sir, the Southern Island has Shezna AFB, the 39th Wing operates out of there, but, there a Fighter Wing.

ZHUKOV:No matter, radio for to them for air superiority over conflict zone, order the TNS Chacal and Jackal (The 2 Northern Fleet Battle Ships), to spearhead, with luck, the 2 can split the ebemy fleet in half. Also, issue order 299, all AA defense are to be struck first.

STEWARD:Aye aye sir

He leaves in a haste, and soon thereafter, the warning sirens ring across the sea from the 2 battleships.

BEEP!

BEEP!

BEEP!

BOOM!

The Azimethian navy sat off shore, its proud 40 battleships, 20 carriers, 80 cruisers, 100 frigates and 70 submarines guarding Tasmania and Victoria with a large blockade across the Pacific Ocean. Azimeth's 21 aircraft divisions patrolled the skies regularly, as if to look for a fight [one which would be relatively short for Azimethian pilots] against Terronian targets. The generals and admirals sat as well; confined in their living spaces as fat men laughed and moved statistics around an Australian map like chess pieces amongst a board. There was no doubt within Komech or his general's mind that the war would go swell for them, and that the joint coalition of his allies and the sheer numbers of the Pacifinesian alliance would completely overwhelm the bastardly nation of Terronia.

It was with pleasure as the Emperor looked upon the lands he would gain after the war. It was as if his own arrogance had turned to bliss: and bliss to obsession. His long wanted dominance of Oceania was now within grasp, and a giant foothold on Australia could be tasted. The nation that was a newcomer in foreign affairs was beginning to wins it first war, but certainly not its last. The Emperor had now turned so arrogant that he even commended the 2nd Guards division for their remarkable work at defending the coast of Tasmania, even though all the credit belonged to his allies. If anything, Jacob wanted to establish one world, and one world only. A world where nations would hail only his flag, and salute to his banner.

He covered the map and walked from his office, his wicked and twisted plans in his head - which would only be unravelled when the time came. For now, his country was at war for a just cause.

South of Victoria...

"Sir, we have reports of heavy enemy naval concentration west of us. What are your orders?" Asked a seamen as General Idalo sat in the control tower of the ANS Azim. Aircraft sat on the deck, and began to prep their engines.

"Wait for them to come to us. Get everything we have airborne, and commit all land-bound fighter divisions here. If they're foolish enough to attack us, we'll make them pay."

Onboard the Enterprise CVN, the fleet commander was looking over some documents when a runner came into the bridge. He saluted. "Sir. The Terronian navy has begun its attack. Radar is showing aircraft heading for Azimethian territory."

"Very well. Thank you." The runner was dispatched and the Rear Admiral looked at his men on the bridge. "Gentlemen, now we sit and wait. Order all ships to general quarters and prepare. If they so much as fire a pellet gun at us we're going to open up this arsenal."

"Yes sir!" All of the ships echoed the GQ Klaxon and things were finally beginning to take shape.

It appeared that the whole calling off the war had been a ruse, one that the Norwegians had been foolish enough to fall for. The troops were still on their way back from the border, but not any more. The alert level went back up to BERSTAT-3 with new orders issed that sent the troops back to the front post haste. The Fosters beer had for the most part been consumed, so the officers decided to ignore the rule of no alcohol in the army for just that one evening. However, they would enforce the order that if any foreign non-allied unit came within 30 kilometers of the border, they would consider it an act of agression and war and retaliate as they saw fit.

As a message to the two warring factions that the Norwegians had enough with their warring, a Enterprise battlegroup left the port of Sydney and steamed towards the open seas and the southern border where Norwegian and Azimethian territorial waters met. The three Murmansks were also ordered back in, but without orders to open fire at any Terronian warships. This was not good.

OOC: I'm beginning to think Azimeth is now the agressor. Terronian, if you call peace and Azimeth fires on you...thats aggression. In any case I'm here to help Cotland.

IC:

The HNS Independence was bustling with activity as dawn came into full bloom. The pilots had been running sorties all night and as 0700 hours approached the ground crews were preparing to change shift teams.

On the bridge Admiral Denton Grey was observing the rising sun illuminate the Australian mainland far in the distance. This area is really beautiful... he mused to himself.

He was handed some information by a Master Chief nearby and he read through the dispatches on the clipboard, the Navy seal emblazoned on the metal on the metal side. The Master Chief stood dutifully to one side, he was new. He was older, and wore a tight mustache, unlike the previous MC. This one also had a heck of a lot of medals and had been all over the place. He also, notably, wore a gold SEAL pendant above the pips, just like the Admiral.

He turned to the MC, "Is this information accurate, Master Chief."

The MC turned and stared straight at the Admiral, "Yes sir, it is. The Norwegians confirmed it early this morning, and the Layartebians are stepping up their sorties from their carriers in the area."

"Very well then, we'll do the same. I'd also like the Missouri to fire off a complete volley a couple of miles closer to shore. Fire blanks. Let the agressor, whichever one it is, know that we have bigger guns, and we can use them."

"Aye Sir," the Master Chief chimed.

In the pleasant blue waters close to the HNS Independence, the HNS Missuouri began to manouevre outside the formation, an Arleigh Burke Cruiser tailing it, along with a few submarines deep under water.
The Missouri was the first of the Missuouri Class battleships. A bigger, meatier, more heavily armed version of the Iowa Class. Instead of nine 16inch guns the Missouri Class supported twelve 20inch Guns, as well as sixteen 8inch Guns, and quite a number of other weapons systems.

The mighty 20 inch guns were raised high into the air when the ship had finally stopped and anchored. The Fleet had slowed considerably so the Missouri wouldn't be so far behind once it started up again.

One by one the three Gun batteries let off a mighty roar as the blank rounds were fired. The sheer noise of the Guns would carry probably over most of the Australian Coast. The sea around the ship itself had depressed deeply around the ship with each volley, the sheer concussion forcing the water down into a half crater around the ship. The Allied Navies would hear the volley aswell, the big guns were here!

International Waters, South Pacific

Admiral Johann von Gut was in charge the 87th BattleFleet. A fleet that constantly sailed Oceania monitoring the things. But now they were looking at Australia, watching as the Terronians and the Azimeth Empire faced each other down. Johann was worried. He didn't need to be involved. Then, it came. A message from the Chancellory of Defence. Are they mad? He thought. This will surely ruin our public image. But he merely shrugged and so he sent out the order.

*OOC:I never said anything about abandoning my territory Hauhin, and, Azimeth keeps insisting on attacking me*

*Static approuched the radios of the Terronian Fleet as a voice began to speak, eventually clearing out.

"This is Colonel Ilevska of the Terronian 39th Fighter Wing, we are in range of you position. We managed to hook up with the Marines 110th Fighter Squadron from the Aeger Fleet, they have a few Attack planes.*

As the message rang over the intercom of the Buzzard and Yuijan, the desks became active as planes began being catapulted off, they had been waiting for that message and as soon as it had blared, it was like a cap had been removed of a shaken bottle of soda.

Colonel Ilevska spoke over the radio, "Who is in the air, 39th Leaders sound of, Marine sound off, then whatever Naval units get up.

"Sir, 183th Dingo Squadron is up!"
"Sir, 11th Bat Squadron is Up!'
Sir, 84th Fighter Squadron is up, dam we need to get a fancy nickname!
Sir, 631st Jaki Squadron is ready.
Then Colonel Ileska Spoke, "And of course, 198th Aquila Tactical Squadon is up.

"Oy guv, the 110th Fighter Marines are aboard too"

"This is head Crewman on the TNS Buzzard, the 54th and 11th Naval Squadrons have been laucnhed, were sending the bombers off first, Fighters will be up soon.

The Colonel Spoke again: "Roger that, Wing, set course for Zector Zulu Niner Six, all flights, stick with your commanders, give close support fire for the Ships, and protect the bombers, Do Not! I repeat DO NOT! Fire on civilian targets, hit only Azimethian militant targets."

All pilots responded "For the Fatherland!", as the wings, in beautiful formations dived under the clouds to meet the Naval Squadrons and begin there runs on the Azimethian fleet.

"Greetings newsman, I am here on the Eastern borders where Terronian Forces *Same from Operation Footprint Plans* are moving West, this is following intellegence on current battles ragins on the coast of Tasmnia, and Azimeths remarks stating there want for Terronian land, I spoke to the commanding General who only told me one statement, "Strike, while the iron is hot, we have to put them on the defensive, first. They are meeting minimal opposition moving into the country, but, this is believe to be from an Azimeth build-up farther back. From TPN News, this is Alexi Stiknovich Milianta, reporting.

OOC: At this point, I could really care less.

Azimethian fighters streamed through the clouds as thousands of anti-aircraft stations aboard all Azimethian ships began to stream to life. 14 of Azimeth's 17 fighter wings assisted in the defense of the Azimethian blockade, as well as every aircraft on board all 20 Azim class carriers. In all, to defend against the large Terronian attack - 498,000 men and women, most of which were supporting the anti-aircraft stations. It was already turning to be one hell of a brawl.

TNS Albatros
Flagship of Nintra Fleet

Admiral Urlovsta was busy yelling orders into his radio, monitering closely the naval battle it had been going slow as was showing the classic signs of becoming a stalemate, luckily, the Nintra Fleet, was one of the largest fleets of the Terronian Southern Armada, and was also the only that had 2 Aircraft Carriers, the Albatros and the Falcon, both of which were catapulting there Wings into the battle above.

Up above, planes from various Squadrons were forming into echelon under the command of Lt Mrgala of the Aquila Wing.

"Lets in this now, cripple and destroy the flagship, on clue the formation dove towards it, meeting heavy AA fighter, next to the Lt's plane, an Attacker was struck, its wings erupting in fier and crashing into the ships below, the remaining planes dropped there loads, missiles, and bullets and flew off, The Lt did not look behind him.

Onboard one of the Unforgiven CGN escorts, the air was alive with music. Crewmen often played hard rock, heavy metal, or other music to pump them up just before a battle situation. For them it was "Prayer" by Sevendust and as the music blared from the PA system, the crew trained their targets, coordinating with the remainder of the fleet. They were ordered to move just ten nautical miles west of Tasmanian waters, putting them in international waters but well near the fight. They were going to put themselves between the Terronian armada and the Norwegian and Hirgizstani fleets. The Enterprise CVBG carried more firepower than both combined and could easily defend both, especially if they were about to start offensive operations against the Terronians.

The Norwegian battlegroup was now 120 nautical miles northeast of Hobart, Tasmania, where it cruised leisurly. The commander of the battlegroup, the captain on the lead ship of the battlegroup, an Enterprise class heavy assault carrier looked at the situation with great concern. He knew that there were Layartebian and Hirgizstanian battlegroups in the area of operations, and he relied on them helping out in case things turned nasty, but he also knew that there were a lot of foreign ships that could have plans to attack. The ships weren’t at any readiness stations yet, but if things continued to deteriate, that would be needed. The captain looked up and saw his executive officer and the air wing commander standing in front of his desk in his lavish quarters, looking at him, waiting for orders. He looked up at them. There was no need to explain the situation, as both men knew what was happening out there.

“Sir, may I recommend we go to battlestations?”

The executive officer had spoken up, eager to do something. Anything other than to just sit there passivly like they had been doing since they left Sydney Naval Station twenty hours ago. The captain looked at the executive officer, then at the kommandørkaptein who commanded the airwing, then back at the executive officer. After looking into the eyes of the man for a few minutes, the captain found the same eagerness to do something that he too felt. Then he nodded. The executive officer returned the nod and walked over to the phone fixed to the paneled bulkhead. He picked it up and spoke two words.

“Klart skip.” – two words which means battlestations in English. A second later, the voice of the duty officer came over the intercom to the entire ship.

“Klart skip, klart skip. Alle mann til kampstasjoner. Klart skip, klart skip. Alle mann til kampstasjoner.” (”General quarters, general quarters! All hands, man your battlestations.”)

The message was followed by loud klaxons. Immediately, the escort ships did the same thing. Sailors were woken up, weapon systems were activated and radar sweeps were intensified. The sailors donned their flak jackets, fireproof hoods and gloves and, in the crew working on the deck’s case, kevlar helmets. Marines armed themselves, and all hatches were closed. On the carrier, the aircraft were being armed and brought up on deck, while the alert 5 aircraft, two F-14E Tomcat fighters were scrambled to assist the two already in the air. An SH-60R Seahawk took off to be ready to pick up potential shot down pilots. After the Tomcats took off, an RQ-15C Mack UAV took off and flew out to see if it could find out where the enemy were. The Mack was a jet-propelled UAV, yet small enough to be undetectable on radar. Built from composites and coated with radar-absorbant paint, it would be virtually impossible to detect. To protect it from visual detection, it was painted in a blue-ish color scheme to avoid detection at day, and fitted with optical camoflage to keep it from being detected at night. It would search for about twelve hours before it returned. If it found the enemy, it would keep the surveilance up so they could see where it was, and how a potential attack damaged it.

In the case of the escorts, they maintained a iron perimeter around the carrier. In the outer ring, most of the frigates were located. In the next ring, the destroyers were located, with the air defense frigates and cruisers in the inner perimeter along with the carrier and the logistics vessels. Over the ships, fighters patrolled, and underneath the ships, the two submarines patrolled. It was protection on all flanks in case anyone tried to attack them.

Fighters: 3
Bombers: 0
Attackers: 1
Naval Ships: 1 [Flagship, ANS Azim, Moderately Crippled]

The Azim's three vulcan cannons fired their thousands of bullets per minute, taking out two of the enemy missiles heading straight for her. However, three bomb impacted the rear of the ship, sending a giant ball of metal, flame and ash into the air. Quickly, crew worked to put it out as the air battle raged overhead. A dozen or so bodies littered the flight deck, but it seemed that the ship was still capable of making her way back to harbor and taking repairs. The navy aircraft would have to land back on ground bases shortly, and the general broadcasted this message so they did not make the mistake of returning to the battered flightdeck.

The F-24A Eagle fighter aircraft was hoping to make a remarkable leap in the air battle over the Pacific ocean. Its 6 missile ports and vulcan cannon - along with its stealth technology - hoped to make a great dent in all Terronian forces.

Meanwhile, miles off the coast of Tasmania...

Thirty of Azimeth's proud Azethlei submarines scraped the bottom of sandbars and corals as they made there way close to the Terronian main fleet. A small carrier, believed to be the TNS Yujian, sat launching attack aircraft toward the Azimethians. Without remorse, three of the submarines launched all 6 of their Komech I class anti-ship torpedoes, a total of 18 anti-ship torpedoes streaming towards their target.

IC:

The radar man aboard the Yuijan pointed at several blips on the radar. Captain Chevchenko looked at them wearily.

"SIr, those are the distinctive markings of subs"

"What! The Copsmaka should have warned us about them!"

"Them flukes are always, crap, torps inbound."

The captain yelled, "Helsman, Full Port!, Torpedoes!"

The small carrier slowly moved, straightening itself out with the path of the torpedoes, making a smaller target, as they skimmed by, 2 struck the back hard, striking the engines, but nothing that could not be fixed, luckily it was'nt sunk, however, the Chacal was not so lucky as the remainging torps caught her by surprise, striking her with heavy smoke in the side, as the ship beagn going down.

"Dive! Dive!" Yelled the submarine group commander as his nuclear subs began to dive towards the surface. Before they left, three more launched their Yertert II class submarine missiles which dove into the air and would come down with a thunderous force on their random targets, hopefully striking an aircraft carrier. As for now, the submarines would simply have to use their deep sea stealth to help themselves from not being killed by the reprucussions of an angered Terronian navy. They had sunk one ship, yes; but the submarine group commander was not ready to sacrifice the lives of his men for a few foolish Terronian sailors.

Meanwhile, Azim, Azimeth, Tasmanian Island

Emperor Komech II began to speak with Terronian efforts on establishing a second and final peace. Although a major air and naval battle was ensuing, he could not help but try to save his country, even at this high risk of a valuable land grab in Australia. His human sympathy and pity was taking over his arrogance.
