The Kingdom of Fourhearts was a land of peace and prospertiy. The people of the Kingdom enjoyed limitless freedom and the economy was thriving.

The Heart Family had been the Cheif of State since the days of the Second World War. King Drake IV was a good king, who had reformed the government into a beacon of democracy. He had established the Humanitarian Fleet which had aided those in need across the NSWorld.

Prince Drake the V was a dashing young man with a promising future. Having grown up on an airship, he was a tough one, and his adventures with the Fleet made him a popular figure.

All was well in the Kingdom of Fourhearts...

But it had not always been this way.

The Kingdom of Fourhearts at one time was ruled by Four Familys. The Hearts, The Diamonds, The Clubs, and The Spades. During the Second World War, the Spade Family had supported the Axis Powers while the rest of the Kingdom had supported the Allies. When the war came to the Kingdom, much of it was civil war.

The Spade Family lost the War and left the Kingdom.

The Queen of Spades was dark and ruthless. She ruled her people with an Iron Fist. As the Heart Family took to the Skies, she drove her people into the Sea. Submarines, Battleships, and Dreadnoughts filled her lust for power as she built her fleets to take over the islands of Fourhearts.

But then something happened that was not expected.

Disaster struck, and the land that the King and Queen had occupied became flooded. King Drake took to the skies and moved his people to higher ground, while the Queen took refuge under the sea.

As Fourhearts started life in thier new region, the Queen of Spades was forgotten.

But the Queen of Spades had not forgotten Fourhearts...

Long ago she had loved King Drake IV. They had been engaged. However, when the Heart Family took the side of the Democracy, and the Spade Family had took the side of Facism, Drake IV broke off the engagement. After the war, Drake married and had a Son who married Juliana Darkrain.

The Jealous Queen never forgot Drake. Even when she married and had children of her own she never forgot. In Exile, she engraved her hatred upon her young. She sent out murderers and assasins to kill the Prince and his young wife.

It was a dark day when they killed Juliana and her husband in thier sleep. Only the son, Prince Drake V survived. It was then King Drake IV sent the boy to the Airship Fleet. The Queen of Spades thought the boy was dead, and reveled in her victory. Each passing day, she lost touch with reality.

The Prince of the Sky knew none of this. He was told his parents had died in a terrible accident. The Good King Drake did not want to sow the seeds of hate and revenge in his young grandson.

Drake knew nothing of the Queen of Spades. Drake grew up to be hardworking, tough, smart, and loved the sky.

The Prince of the Sky had an opposite.

A darker prince, a meaner prince, the Prince of Steel.

Prince Rothbart was the Queen's favorite grandson. For his twenty-first birthday, The Queen made him a Knight of the Kingdom and gave him a Black Sword and the authority to enforce the Queen's Rule.

Prince Rothbart was a ruthless enforcer. Anyone who dared speak ill of the Tyrant Queen was put to the sword. Anyone who uttered the words 'freedom' or 'liberty' or 'rights' quickly found themselves at the sharp end of Rothbart's sword.

Rothbart had but one goal. Kill Prince Drake V and claim the throne to both Fourhearts and Fourspades.

Prince Rothbart watched the World aboard his flagship, The Black Cross.

The World was at War. There was oppertunity to be made. Fourspades had an abundance of oil. Fourspades had Pirate Fleets that fleeced the commerce ships of the World. If they gathered the right cargo, made the right freinds, they would be stronger than the Kingdom of Fourhearts.

Soon, the time will be right.

Rothbart could already hear the drums of war. The drums were loud and eager, a perfect prelude for the death song that is to come...
