Yuuzhan'tar
Those ships and those warriors left after the Battle of Sekot, the climactic battle of the Yuuzhan Vong Civil War, limped into the Yuuzhan'tar system. More than half of the fleet had been destroyed. Worlds decimated. Millions killed. No one ever said change was easy, but to many the price was too high.
Led by the new fleet flagship, Rapuung the Redeemer, the ships made for orbit around the capitol world of the Empire. Supreme Overlord Shoon-mi Esh, in his position only a few hours, watched the planet he had fought so hard to free float closer and closer. That such beauty could come from a system as ugly as the caste system is amazing... he thought to himself. But that ugly system no longer existed, unofficially at least. The rebels had fought long and hard to abolish it and to change their nation. Now was their chance...
Imperial Citadel, Yuuzhan'tar. - Several Hours Later
Standing at a podium infront of a row of holocams and speaking into several villips, Shoon-mi Esh spoke directly to his people for the first time. Looking into the nearest holocam, he began to speak. "Peace reigns once more in the Empire. Not just peace, but legitimate peace under a legitimate government. We have fought for many months, lost many a loved one and many a friend, but now victory has been achieved. The corrupt government of Nas Choka has fallen, the tyrant and his minions killed. Now it is time for real change.
My first act as Supreme Overlord is to declare all doctrines of Yu'shaa to be true and as good as law. Technology is to be embraced. Those of other cultures are to be embraced. The time of constant expansion and conquest is to end. The caste system is no more. All Yuuzhan Vong are equals.
My second act is to declare the Yuuzhan Vong Empire dead. As a political entity it is dead. I hereby, in the name of the Yuuzhan Vong people, declare a Yuuzhan Vong Republic. The people of the Gods will know democracy! We will know freedom!
Lastly, I hereby resign the now defunct position of Supreme Overlord. I will run for the position of President when elections are held in two months. Until such time, however, I will act as interim head of state."
Cheers rang out from the crowd gathered as he finished his announcement and Shoon-mi smiled at the appreciation of his people. The people, warrior and shamed alike, truly loved him. He was the saviour of his people. Representative of the Gods. No one could possibly match his popularity.

The Yuuzhan Vong Republic hereby invites all nations to open embassies within our space. For too long the Yuuzhan Vong have been hostile and isolationist. Now we are ready to join the intergalactic community and wish to make new friends. All are welcome to send emissaries or embassies. Long Live the Republic!
