Terrorist Activities in Krakinheds.

Krakinheds

Good afternoon, this is KNN, today with breaking news

Today, political leaders recieved threats from a yet unknown terrorist regime within Karlimina, the capital city of Krakinheds. The message was recieved this morning on the desk of Billy Jaybird, one of the .45s and the Minister of Regional Affairs.

At which point, the screen changes from the office of Billy Jaybird to a video of three men, each wearing a hoodie, one blue and two red, with their faces turned away from the camera and the hoods up. One seemed to bob around, and was hardly audible, but understandable due to the subtitles.

"We have constantly seen local oppression from the so called "leaders" of this nation. Constantly we are reminded that they are more powerful than we are, and we wish only for them to see things from our level. Unless the .50 and his .45s resign within a week of this message, we shall bomb embassies one after another, and have other nations remove them from office for them."

The camera then changes to the door to the .50's office.

Angry at the recent threats by the terrorists, Brock Kollecsi held a press conference, not long after a vote on appropriate action to handle recent events.

The screen now shows a man in his mid-twenties standing in a clean business suit behind a myriad of microphones outside the office

"It is an insult to the people of Krakinheds to have such delinquints threathen the nation so. This government was built upon the opinion of the public, not a single minority of power mongers! We are not dictators or liberals! We are of the public as well, and we only represent the public opinion. We are not more powerful! We do not have any exception from the law! We do not get to say who does what, when, where and why! These terrorists pose wrongful claims against us, and threaten the innocent people in our nation. Under a recently held vote, we have deployed military forces to our cities, but have not instated marshall law."

The .50 has also called on the aid of other nations, requesting any support as per needed. He left this message at the UN:

To whom it may concern

Our nation has gone under threat of terrorist attacks. We do not know what city they reside in, for they may even be operating in many other cities in Krakinheds. We don't know the full number of members in their organization, and we certainly don't know what nation they hail from.

We send out a request for aid by any other nations. We hope to resolve this quickly and without collateral damage. We will accept all forms of aid, aside from hostile take-over or imposing marshall law.

In a dispatch sent by satellite link early this morning, President Edward Choi denounced the use of terrorist threats against the the legitimate government of Krakinheds. Although offering the services of Geronia's National Police Agency, President Choi however has mostly limited his offer of support to moral outrage and condemnation of the terrorist threats; considering the size and state of the Geronian armed forces, he is not prepared to commit the military to foreign engagements while "so much still needs to be done here at home."

Since Geronia has no official embassy in Karlimina, Foreign Minister Yoshio Takanobu is expected to travel to the capital to offer the NPA services and possibly establish diplomatic relations with the government of Krakinheds in order to "show these insurgents that all nations of the world stand together against fear."

Within minutes, the .50 and .45s wired a telegram back to Geronia, as thanks for thier kindness. They focused on a few points of the telegram, but kept it very to the point. Each member had their input, and was all combined into the following message relayed back through satellite.

"We are greatly thankful for your offer, and welcome any aid you wish to send. We are grateful for any personel you send, and we welcome your ambassador to our nation in order to set up embassies and open diplomatic relations.

I hope our nations both have a prosperous future

The atmosphere in the aircraft was light as the jet hurtled on through the night towards Karlimina from Caimen. An officially chartered government jet, the Learjet housed Yoshio Takanobu, Geronia's newly appointed Foreign Minister and ten agents of Geronia's National Police Agency, it's federal law enforcement agency.

The ten agents onboard wore the elaborate navy blue dress uniforms that the NPA issued its officers, complete with gold braid. Their service pistols, Sig-Sauer P228's were holstered at their sides. As their first major assignment, they were excited; not only were they going overseas for it, but furthermore, it was an exciting case. They had been briefed at NPA Headquarters prior to departing for the airport with more information having been promised to them upon landing in Karlimina. They were young and inexperienced, but they were all heart.

Minister Takanobu just smiled and pushed his spectacles back up onto his nose. At forty-eight he was a little too old to be as excited as they were, although the prospect of establishing diplomatic negotiations with Krakinheds did excite him nonetheless.

History was in the making here and he did not intend to miss it.

I will be breif, as you are presumably very buisy at the moment. Executive Solutions is a private military contracting corporation, mercenaries, to put it crudely, and we specialize in urban warfare and counter-terrorism. It appears we fit perfectly into your niche, as it were. I am prepared to dispatch fifteen-thousand of my finest contractors, if we can work out a deal.

You pay us seven-hundred and fifty thousand dollars and I can offer you my support, and for a little exra change, I can throw in some of our considerable stockpile of armoured support and air units. Say...nine-hundred thousand with the support. What do you say?

History was in the making here, and the media certainly didn't want to miss it. The small convoy of police cars, escorting a limousine arrived at Karlimina International where his visitors were expected to arrive. Already, Brock could see thousands, upon thousands of media outlets aiming cameras towards the car, and two agents within the limousine were at the ready incase confict broke out now.

Driving into the runway itself, the cars fanned out, and each parked. Police officials and a few body-guards stepped out of their vehicles, and soon Brock himself emmerged, scanning the clear skies for his expected visitor. He took a great breath of air, savoured it greatly, and exhaled. He later claimed to have breathed history in the making.

I'm sorry to say that Brock Kollecsi is currently about to meet for an important meeting, something he called history in the making.

We would be happy to purchase millitary support, however we do not know what the worth of our national currency is, as we have recently opened our borders to the world. If we may come to terms in determining the worth of our Manicans as compared your dollars, we would be happy pay accordingly.

We hope to see many good relations in the future between each other.

It had been a smooth landing and Minister Takanobu was more than grateful to the pilot for making it so. He had never been a fan of air travel and at forty-eight years was even less fond of it now. He knew the media was going to be out there and that this was a momentous first step in his career as a foreign minister and for Geronia.

Behind him, Special Agent Kim Ju Hwan turned to face his men. At twenty-eight he was the senior commander of the other nine men assigned to the Krakinheds case, based on his qualifications and training scores.

"You all know the drill. I want a good appearance for the Krakinheds media and politicians. Remember, the image and face of our country is in your hands." Taking a deep breath, he tried, but failed to stop a broad smile from creeping across his features. "But don't forget to enjoy yourselves."

The door popped open, the sunlight of Krakinheds spilled into the cabin and its occupants stepped out onto the jetway to make history...

A loud, appreciative roar erupted from the crowd, as they broke into cheer as the Geronian representatives began to step out of the jet. Brock was very pleased at this, knowing that he once again kept the public happy. He briefly straightened his tie and made his way across the jetway towards the jet, and the emmerging ambassadors.

Giving one quick qave to the public to acknowledge them, he finally arrived in front of the jet, a friendly smile on his face as he gazed towards the learjet. The cheer was still sounding, and he really couldn't feel any more appreciated at this. He raised his right hand towards the ambassadors in a friendly, welcoming manner.

Message Reads: Again, I will be breif. My analysts ahve determined that your Manicans are equal to roughly five USD, and so the price for our support, armoured and air forces included, in your own currency would be 4,500,000 Manicans, a price we hope you are willing to pay.

We will be waiting for your response, meanwhile, our C-130 transport planes are being loaded with the first divisions of troops that are schedualed to arrive in Karlimina. We can be in the air in a matter of fifteen miniutes, should you go foreward on the payment.

He was briefly overwhelmed by the cheers of the crowd below him. He hadn't expected a crowd like this and as a first rception, he had to admit it was a little intimidating. A brisk smile crossed his face though and waving at the crowd, he descended the jetway to the tarmace, the NPA agents marching in step behind him.

Foreign Minister Takanobu shook the hand of Brock Kollecsi, smiling as he lowered his head in a deferential bow of respect. The roar of the crowd still filled his ears as he raised his head and smiled at the leader of Krakinheds.

"And on behalf of President Choi and all of Geronia, I heartily accept your welcome and offer you the services of these men."

"ATTENTION!" exclaimed Special Agent Kim as he snapped his feet together in unison with those of his men, smartly snapping his right hand up next to the brim of his emblazoned cap. "Sir, it is an honor to offer you the servies of my men and myself to safeguard your nation."

The first of many transport planes took of from Executive Solutions's airstrip in the northern region of Fintlewoodle. The plane was loaded up with almost one hundred and fifty ES troopers, and they knew that there were dozens more planes behind them. Each sat qiuietly, checking and rechecking their D-42 standard pattern assault rifles.

They were highly trained, having speant seven years practicing and developing their skills at ES traning courses throught the counrty, but this would be their first stast of real combat, save for a few riot control and corporate raid misisons they had undertaken of the past few years. They were all eager, but carefull not to show anyone, to keep up their stern faces none of them looked up, each thinking to himself, or going over his weapons one last time...

The first air fleet would arrive in three hours with 3,480 Executive Solutions operatives armed with D-42 standard and long pattern rifles, and a sidearm, as well as a host of armoured vehicles, including the recently purchased Warrior System IFV, which Number Two was eager to try out. Total armoured strength would be up near 155 APCs, 120 IFVs, 200 MBTs, and roughly three hundred smaller Humvee variants acting in support.

A grateful smile swept over the face of Brock, as he heard the news he was looking for. He smiled back, barely hearing what the foriegn minister had to say as the crowd continued to cheer. Brock knew this was going to be all over the media, and meant great things for the nation. He couldn't help but give an impressed chuckle at how well disciplined the men appointed to Krakinheds were.

"It is my honour to have you in my nation, and I promise we will look after you and your men," Brock stated to the special agent. Breifly turning back to the foreign minister, he succumbed to the urge to compliment again, saying "With men this highly disciplined, you must live in a very well lead nati..."

Within a few seconds of that, a muffled, but still audible, bang sound ripped through the air as a bullet ripped past the .50 and tore a small hole in the sleeve of his business suit, colliding into the ground. Within seconds, the security were upon the .50 and the ambassadors, attempting to escort them to safety, while law officials surveyed the area for the assailant.

The media were going to have a field day with this event...

The ES would be met with a riotting panic in the streets as a massive event taking place between two nations was brought abrubtly to an end as an failed assassination took place. The streets of Karlimina International looked rather chaotic as hundres of people rushed to safety, hoping they don't get shot. A convoy of cars, however, were headed away from the area. Things seemed to have quickly gotten ugly in Krakinheds... and the first of many terrorist attacks have taken place.

"Get the minister out of here!" shouted Kim, his handgun already out of its holster and in his hand. The other officers, their training instinctively kicking in, drew their own weapons and quickly hustled the foreign minister into one of the chauffeured vehicles provided by the Krakinheds officials. The driver, not wanting to lose the rest of the government convoy quickly hit the gas and the vehicle lurched off.

"All right guys. Our new priority is to maintain a guard around the minister until he can conclude his business here and get back to Geronia," ordered Kim, his handgun now back in its holster. "Once we get to wherever we're going, I'll get on the comm and raise headquarters. They'll know what to do."

Brock looked like many things right now. For one, he was a right mess, having been almost assassinated and hastily escorted to safety with the minister. Two, he looked very angry that the security could not identify a potential sniper on sight. Three, he was embarrased that the new minister had to see something like that on his welcoming.

With a few deep breathes, Brock finally speaks up. "I'm deeply sorry about that. You came here for a diplomatic reason and one of us almost got shot for it... oh god I am sorry." The driver, if somebody could see him, seems more suprised that the .50 was more depressed about the Minister's reception than the .50's own personal safety.

The foreign minister smiled once, a sad smile. "Such things cannot be helped. can they? It is unfortunate, but something like this cannot be made to damage the relations between our two countries."

-Caimen-

The Geronian press had picked up the satellite feed and now the press were all over it. It was splashed over the morning editions of all the major papers and the television anchors were talking of nothing else. The news had been sensationalized in Geronia to the point where even the corporate workers, who normally were the pictures of discipline and conviction, were stopping their work to chat about it.

Asssassination attempt stuns national governments
By James Shimamura, Staff Writer, Caimen Times

The daring sniper attack on Krakinheds leader, Brock Kollecsi, yesterday during the arrival ceremonies for Foreign Minister Yoshio Takanobu has shocked politicians in both countries with both its brazeness and the ease with which it occurred. Fortunately the attempt was unsuccessful; both Minister Takanobu and Brock Kollecsi are perfectly fine following this attempt on the revered .50's life. Immediate condemnation against the attack was issued from Caimen following the attempt in which Presidential spokesman, Steven Anderson, described the attempt on Kollecsi's life as "cowardly."

Deciding against a "hasty and alarmist action," President Edward Choi declined to call an emergency session of the National Assembly today, describing calls for an immediate security presence in Krakinheds as "panicky" and "unjustified." Opponents of the president who are critical of his decision to keep Geronian armed forces out of peacekeeping and security operations due to his declaration of military unpreparedness are using yesterday's assassination attempt to try to rally the Assembly to overturn President Choi's decision to prohibit the military from taking a larger role.

Foreign Minister Takanobu is on his first leg of a trip in Krakinheds in order to establish full diplomatic relations. He was scheduled to return to Geronia on Sunday following a luncheon with Kollecsi.

Brock chuckled slightly, trying to override the fear of having almost been killed. He broke a smile in an attempt to show lack of fear. He was taught once to keep one's head, for it is most dangerous when panicked. "I suppose you're right, I just hope this won't damage our nation's outlook on each other," Brock stated.

However, he did seem distressed. "Well, you heard of my nation's recent terrorist problem, and you experienced first hand. I think I need to fund a little more training for security, there is really no excuse for that lack of attention," he commented.

In his current embarrasment and anger, he would be happy not to read that news report, or at this point, even know of it's existance... despite the media now working on various stories in his own nation to embarrass him enough.
