A pair of officers sat at a gatehouse to one of the Federation's large air bases. Sleepily leaning back in their chairs while watching a little television set up on the desk of the checkpoint, it was considered pretty easy duty.
Tonight would be different.
The television flickered, then the screen went to static for a few seconds. Only one of the guards seemed to notice, the other was absorbed in staring with tired eyes at a newspaper. "Hey Bill, what's wrong with the tube?" The newspaper-holding guard glanced up, shrugged without comment.
They both looked however, when the picture returned. It wasn't a late night sports show rerun, but insteady a crystal clear image of a large purple flag with a golden pawprint insignia on it. Into view stepped a young 'hybrid' male,
The hybrids first came about fifty years or so ago, when the Federation's government had been embroiled in a war of imperialism with its neighbor. The hybrids had been an experiment to produce soldiers with animal genes, strength, speed, regeneration. Everything had been tried, instead of producing human-looking soldiers with animal traits, they had produced complete hybrids. Humanoids with animal features. Anthropomorphs. These "Hybrids" had been tucked away into their own little town and left to their own devices, the scientists who had spawned them were perhaps a little too soft-hearted to just exterminate the species. Instead, they had been abused, mistreated, often enslaved to humans for demeaning tasks.
Now, the 'Hybrids' were back.
This particular Anthro stood several inches into six feet tall, broad-shouldered with a lean, powerful build. His fur was pure white, marked with black stripes here and there. He wore a simple black jumpsuit, with spectra armor and armor on his joints. A helmet is tucked under one arm as he addresses the camera. The white tiger Anthro stared into the camera lens with an unflinching, resolute expression on his handsome muzzle. Those pale blue eyes seemed to drill right into the souls of those members of the Federation watching this pirated telecast.
"Good evening. Fourty one years ago to this day, my people were shut away from your society, often misused, given no rights, murdered, raped, enslaved without consequence by your government. We have been in negotiations with your Federation for several years now, and the talks have lead nowhere. Your government has left us no choice." His lips peeled back to expose clean, sharp white teeth in that tiger's mouth, "May the gods have mercy on your souls," and his strong fist lifted up into the air, voice raising to a roar, "VIVA LA ANTHRO!"
The television went blank again, then flickered back to the scheduled programming. Somewhere on the base, an alarm began to go off. The two checkpoint guards looked at each other in confusion for the several seconds it took for sounds of jet engines to reach them. The checkpoint shook with the sonic boom of jet aircraft passing overhead, and the windows blew out against the pressure wave produced by an orange fireball appearing in the center of the airfield.
People were running back and forth yelling now, men climbed into anti-aircraft artillery pieces and angled them upwards, beginning to send streams of tracers into the sky. SAM crews pointed their missiles skywards, seeking desperately to lock onto whatever was attacking them.
After fourty seconds of nothing, explosions rippled across the airbase as distant artillery boomed. Several shells exploded thirty meters from the ground to spray an inverted cone of death towards the ground.
Search lights flickered on, sweeping back and forth through the sky. A dark shape was glimpsed, and tracers converged on it. Several flashes cut through the path of the object, and then the jet exploded while on approach to its strike. Another jet however, wove through the tracer fire and streaked past, disappearing over the treetops before SAMs could lock on. In the wake of that jet, JDAMs fell downwards. In the air, they exploded and cut loose hundreds of softball-sized submunitions that rained downwards onto man and machine alike.
The Federation's pilots were at the hanger still, arguing about how they could get their jets off the ground with a crater in their airfield. A few helicopters lifted off and zoomed north under orders the groundpounders didn't have access to.

South Feluca
The Federated army was in something of a panic, at their southern-most naval base, ships at dock had suddenly been struck by torpedos and air launched anti-ship missiles. The marine garrison deployed in armored vehicles, rolling down the road towards their capital city to try and defend the center of government. An armored column of perhaps six hundred vehicles streamed out of the naval base, where warships floundered in the shallows with smoke and flames pouring from them.
Southern Assault Task Force "Velvet Claws"
A mile over the surface of Feluca, the navigator of a large transport plane looked down through a night-ops scope at the ground. There was the crossroads, and a farm nearby. He looked up, sleek muzzle looking grim. The fox's bushy tail twitched as he announced, "That's the drop zone! Go! Go! Go!"
In the back of the transport, a cougar whirled his paw in the air and then gestured at the door. Another pair of crew members hit a button which sent the ramp of the plane to lower, and wind blew through the cargo area of the plane, rustling the uniforms of the hundred Anthro soldiers waiting. In pairs, the soldiers jogged forward and dove without hesitation out of the back, disappearing into the darkness.
All around them, a dozen other units were doing the same. Within moments, the sky was filled with parachutes, their presence not yet known.
The cougar, a lieutenant by the bars on his helmet grinned before he too took the dive. Behind him, the loadmaster counted to 15, then cut loose a pallet restraint. A pair of large crates slid out the back. The ramp closed, and the Anthro aircraft turned to follow the other planes back to their base.
In fifteen minutes, a cluster of Anthro soldiers stood around one of the crates while the lieutenant barked out orders in a hushed voice, "Get these mines deployed, I want a fire trap set up along that highway! Now!"
Airborne soldiers hurried off into the darkness, moving to the highway leading into Feluca's capital, where they began setting up their anti-tank mines, as well as scatterings of claymores. The claymores were wired up to detonators in the hands of the specialists.
On either side of the highway, route 9, Anthro airborne infantry settled in, looking down the sights of squad assault weapons, anti-tank missiles and rifles.
Just south of Feluca's capital city
The Federation marine convoy rolled along Route 9 as quickly as they dared to in the dark. They noted there was no other traffic, and for that were grateful. At least the civilians were keeping their heads down, and more importantly staying out of the way.
It was an unplesant suprise that greeted the marines as their lead vehicle, an infantry fighting vehicle hit one of the anti-tank mines. The third vehicle in line also rolled over a mine seconds later, and the twin detonations lit up the head of the convoy.
Marines ran out of their APCs as tracer fire swept over them from either side of Route 9, and dozens were struck with anti-tank rockets, which punched holes into their hulls and detonated on the inside.
A wild firefight broke out as marines dove for cover in the median, often being ripped apart as Anthro specialists triggered their claymores, sending high-speed ball bearings shredding through the darkness.
One marine managed to get his squad together and they manuvered between burning wrecks, dashing towards the guard rails and trying to work their way up the hill on the east side of Route 9. They manuvered and fired, only to have several SAWs focus on their position, sweeping them several times with fire. No one survived the barrage uninjured, and a followup barrage fixed the problem of wounded survivors.
Further to the south the rest of the marine convoy turned around in the road and fled down the highway away from the deadly ambush.

Skies over Feluca
A male fox anthro sat in the cockpit of a modified Phantom II ICE, visor resting comfortably against his muzzle and pointed ears tucked into his helmet. The tail also had its place, and his lean body was jacketed in a flightsuit. He looked out over the runrise, hopefully the last sunrise on Feluca with that monsterous Federation in power. "This is Arrow One, over." To which the radio replied,
"Roger Arrow One, this is Longbow. Radar is showing a partial squadron to your east, approximately two hundred miles. You are cleared to engage."
"Copy, Longbow." He rolled his Phantom II up on its wing and radioed the rest of his squadron, much abreviated after a hard night of fighting, "This is Arrow One, base has clued us in on some bogies. We are weapons free." His wingman tucked in, and a mile off to the left somewhere, Arrows four and five would be doing the same.
The four Anthro jets sped towards the east, closing with the contacts. A few minutes later, two different types of radar were lighting each other up. Six Federation fighters broke up into pairs, while the Anthros dove in for their attacks. Arrow One rolled his Phantom to the side, hanging tight onto the tail of a Federation Mirage 2000. "Slammer away!" The AAM-120 cut loose and streaked away, going up into a ballistic arc before diving down onto the Mirage, blowing apart its engines. The jet tumbled, and the pilot ejected.
Meanwhile, Arrow four caught a wave of return rocket fire, and unable to avoid them all his fighter disintigrated under the impact of four seperate missiles. More exchanges, and more burning, shattered hulks fell from the sky. When it was over, the fox found himself alone in the sky. He looked franticly out the cockpit glass for his mates, but realized none had managed to eject. A tear cut a furrow into the amber fur on his cheek to dribble from one whisker as he turned his Phantom towards home.

Reply from the Federation,
Our only safe deployment area is to the northern part of Feluca. The filthy anthros have taken over our southern port and our capital. You may deploy your civilian protection unit at Star City, and your jets.. you need not send them. We do not have airfields left! There is no way to refuel and rearm your jets once they get here. We need more soldiers! The slaves are pushing on Star City even now!

Large transport jets flew over the northen Feluca, a nice group flying over Star City. Inside, many well-equipped soldiers and and Civillian defense troops sat checking their equipment closely. They were about to see action, and as little by little, more news reached their ears, and it seemed to be very horrific.
The hatches on the bottom of the planes holding the LCDR units opened, and hundreds upon hundreds of Civil Protection Soldiers dove from the plane, deploying parachutes when near the ground. Hovering down, with weapons strapped tight and communications lines open, they prayed, hoping to land safe in Star City.
Meanwhile, the KAC jets have unleashed their payload over the northern area of Feluca, They knew they would be the ones who would see the combat first, and were diving with guns in hands for if they needed to shoot along the way down. They seemed not worried, as they were more eager to do combat than anything else.
The jets soon turned and began flying back to Krakinheds, planning to make a stop in an allied nation along the way to refuel. One of the pilots from the jets opened a comms channel, giving a message to the leader of this nation.
"Our forces have been deployed, many of them are carrying your supplies. We have more on the way which we will parachute you in Star City, untill then, hang tight."

The soldiers parachuting into Star City found the place in panic. Mostly fat, wealthy looking people were wide-eyed and running amok in the streets, loading vehicles with their worldly wealth and then driving them onto packed roads heading for the Federation's one port that they still hold.
There are soldiers everywhere, wearing black fatigues and carrying mean-looking assault rifles of their own.
The leader of the Krakinheds paratroopers was met on the ground by a fat little man wearing a pot helmet with a general's star on it. He waved the paratrooper over to where he stood on the hood of an APC, "Those bombs your jets were dropping mostly landed in the no-man's-land. But at least it kept them from advancing towards the city for a while. I've got my officers interrogating those damned hybrids that we found here in the city. So far, none of them are talking. But we'll get their plans out of them!"
In the backround, a dozen anthros of varying types were lined up against a wall. They seem to be females and children for the most part. A squad of Federation infantry turn their rifles on them, each putting a bullet into the head of an anthro.
"I need you to deploy your men in a skirmish line along these farms just south of the city." The general was saying, holding a map up and tracing a finger along a road about 3 miles south of Star City. "I want to lure them into the flatlands there, then turn some gas on them."
Krakinheds
30-12-2005, 10:04
The KAC acknowledged the general, waving over many members of their squads. One man, a squad captain, turned to the general and patted the heavy pack on his back, a smile on his face. "If we want to lure the bastards, we'll make em think the area is very important. We got tons of C4 in here, and we can set up a large trap and lure them into it." Many soldiers began to follow their captain, by count, their seemed to be thousands of soldiers from Krakinheds... they were really eager to help. "They may either retreat, or risk it and carry on into the gas."
While this was going on, the LCDR began working to evacuate the civillians, sticking close to them and many families to protect their lives. They had a vigor about them that seemed very inspiring, and but kept the civillian pace up high to try and evacuate them all. Their goal was to escort the civillians, then protect them where ever they were escorted to.
Meanwhile, the captain speaking to the general had noticed the execution of the anthros. He seemed rather worried, even more so that they were women and children aswell. He pointed to them promptly. "Don't sink to their level. Anthro or not, they are still women and children."
The Xeno
30-12-2005, 10:25
The general looked back at the bodies lying in pools of blood, then laughed. He gave the captain a heafty pat on the shoulder, "Don't worry about it m'boy. They're barely human. This is typical. Those ones didn't warn us about the attacks, so they die. It's the punishment for those damned hybrids. They steal, they die. They refuse to give up information, they die."
Then he gestured at the city, "We cannot let our beautiful city fall. These houses cost millions of dollars!" Indeed, Star City seemed a haven for the rich and slovenly. "We'll get 'em! Don't you worry m'boy!"
South of Star City
There were thousands of Federation infantry deployed among the farmlands to the south, with tanks, fighting vehicles and heavy weapons dug in. On the very edge of the city, safely away from the battle lines, there are massed artillery positions focusing their guns south.
Further South
On the ground, a half dozen or so Anthro light APCs rolled up to the edge of a small forest at the edge of the flatlands, and recon teams observed the positions from a safe distance.
A command truck parked miles from the front and covered with camo netting seemed to be a meeting area for some of the Anthros. A messanger ran up, panting before he saluted the tall, white tiger leader of the rebellion, "Sir! They've heavily fortified the approach to Star City. We count several batallions of armor, and maybe a division of infantry!"
The tiger rumbled softly, "Very well. Move up the artillery and prepare to hit the defenses. We'll move in under that cover by company. Get the jets back up into the air. They have no air support since those foreigners left."
Krakinheds

Several KAC officials scanned the area, waiting for and order. Soon their intercoms rang out, saying "Thermals on, we'll see them by their heat." At that, many of them reached to their goggles, and snapped a switch. Soon, the goggles had shown thermal readings in the distance, and many of them got to work, setting their packs in front of them. Many pulled out C4 bombs and began setting them, armed only by the detonator. Many others began assembling their anti-armour weapons. The Heavy Lance Recoiless gun, though two man operated and only a man portible 70mm gun, was the star of the KAC, and rightly proved itself so.
One more order over the intercom rang up. "As soon as they get in our line of sight, I want all those Lances aimed at the armoured vehicles, with luck, we should be able to knock a few out with the explosions." Several affirmatives rang up on each commanding officers radio, and the lieutenant of the force sent a transmission to the general.
"Sir, if you have any artillery, now would be a good time to open fire on them. Scare them out of their holes and we'll do the rest."
The Xeno

The ground seemed to vibrate somewhat, as in the distance Anthro artillery sang out. Not just gun artillery, but also rocket artillery. MLRS platforms rippled off 12 missiles each, which streaked into the sky like laser beams. Halfway to their targets, the rocket motors went out, and it was pure mathmatics from there.
There would be no warning, just suddenly the ground would errupt in carpets of explosions, each missile covering an area of approximately 4 football fields squared with 225 bomblets each. The bomblets are about the size of softballs, and pack 2 pounds of high explosive inside of fragmenting shells. There were 30 launchers, and like a curtain shooting up from the ground, explosions ripped all along the Federation and Krakinheds defensive line.
In return, the heavy Federation artillery booms outbound, setting geysers of dirt and flame upwards where the Anthros are supposed to be waiting. There is a secondary explosion somewhere among the trees, indicating that an APC has been hit, and its ammunition is burning up.
The Anthros were not done, however. Blazing through the sky came flights of strike jets, swooping down to deliver payloads of bombs among the Federation artillery.
One flight of strike fighters came down close enough, that their bellies nearly skimmed the trees. These six fighters dropped canisters among the Federation and Krakinheds lines, canisters that exploded into waves of napalm. Liquid fire gushing, as though lava from an errupting volcano.
Remember the Anthro gun artillery? Their rounds were falling far short of the Federation and Krakinheds positions, exploding in great gouts of thick, obscuring white smoke. Not even thermal imaging could penetrate the hot smoke, as hundreds of rounds littered the field and burnt, filling the sky with a cloud of white.
The Anthros began to move forward then, at first APCs, absorbing hits now and then, but focusing on getting their cargo forward unharmed.
The farms are set in the flatlands, but there are thick hedge rows here and there, and stone fences and roads. (Talking about an area of dozens of miles here) The APCs took cover behind buildings and fences where they could, or among tree lots. They would stop, the rapid-fire 30mm cannons (Think of the gun on a Bradley) reaching out, searching for pockets of gunfire. Meanwhile, the doors on the APCs open and out storm squads of Anthro infantry, mechanized infantry/cavalry style to take cover and lay down suppressing fire.
(Going to bed. =p Feel free to respond, I'll reply when I wake up. Good stuff so far. =^.^=)

Screams erupted on the intercoms as hundreds of brave KAC soldiers died within the first pre-emptive attack. The explosions rocked them something awful, and plenty of C4 was lost in the attack. Over the intercom, during the barrage, the captains screamed at the remaining members of their squad. "Grab your bombs and retreat! Get out of their artillery fire!"
Krakinheds soldiers began to run, leaving a few guns behind, but taking what they could. They had to resort to plan B. Dying on their retreat as bombs impacted many of them, a few hundred members escaped unscathed.
More soldiers were caught when the napalm dropped, but plenty got away, being barely out of the epicenter of the bombing. A few vigilante soldiers used the recoilless guns against the jet craft, aiming and timing as best as their training allowed them, intent on stopping another napalm attack.
Most of them were still happy for their thermal scans... but not untill the smoke screen cleared that something awful. They figured this was a good time to run a few yards back and arm their bombs, believing they'll be advancing through the smoke.
A very nice faction of Krakinheds troops got to their location safe and sound, immediatly arming the bombs to the detonators. By the time the armoured vehicles moved in, many of the soldiers began retreating, but played their part. They opened fire, bullets colliding with the vehicles with vain hope of damaging what's inside. A squad member from each squad held the detonator, and ran as the rest of the squad covered their escape.
Already, hundreds of Krakinheds soldiers fell to the onslaught, but they had the ace in their sleeve. The last of them would remain behind for a few seconds to see if the anthros rolled onto the traps yet, and not much longer a series of intercom messages rang out over the radio, each screaming "Now!".
Great explosions rocked the battlefield as the C4 exploded as the signal from the detonators were given. They knew that anything caught in the bomb field would be shredded to chunks if anything were in their at time. A wave of force from the sheer amount of explosions radiated outwards, knocking a few soldiers on their rumps.
All they could do now is hope they caught the Anthros in the trap.

IC:
Mechanized infantry continued their advance, storming out of the smoke curtain in squads and platoons while tracer fire sprayed overhead, mostly trying to keep down the heads of their enemies so they wouldn't be firing back, while the fire teams moved forward.
Several IFVs - infantry fighting vehicles (Bradley and Stryker knock-offs) rolled forward, having some trouble finding a path through the maze of hedges and stone fences, but eventually managing to trickle forward.
The line was moving forward steadily, while more IFVs moved forward, their doors opening to send squads of mechanized infantry storming out the backs with shouts of "Hooah!" before they moved forward with the rest.
The jets, although none of them were hit by the recoiless rifles, one was torn apart by anti-aircraft tracer fire from inside Star City, retreated anyway. They had no bombs left to drop, there's no reason to remain on the scene.
The pilot of the downed aircraft managed to eject, hanging in her parachute as it slowly dropped towards the city. On the ground, the little general pointed upwards, "Get it!" and dozens of rifles aimed upwards, spraying the parachuting pilot with gunfire until she went limp in the harness, and eventually drifted down into a small park.
Out in the field, lines of advancing infantry were suddenly caught up in a wall of explosions from the C4. Several vehicles errupted into fireballs, and Anthros were sent flying through the air, broken. The advance wavered, then began to withdraw back behind the smoke wall in an organized retreat.
Dozens of Anthros lay wounded on the field, unable to be recovered as medics with white circles and red crosses on their helmets dashed forward to get them, but got driven back by weapons fire.

West Coast
Over western Feluca, another battle was still raging in the hills and mountains on the west coast. Smaller units engaged back and forth, often calling in attack helicopters and gunships for fire support among the rugged terrain.
The cities had been captured overnight for the most part, while airborne units dropped in to cut off military bases from supplying reinforcements to the rest of the region. Armored and mechanized forces drove directly into the cities and sat there watching rather calmly as millions of human civilians fled, evacuating onto ships and jet liners to flee the country. In one instance, there had been slaughter as a local militia attacked a small Anthro town on the outskirts of another larger city and began killing anyone in sight.
The Anthro military had responded quickly, and in that case, no prisoners of the human militia had been taken.

With the vain hope of catching them, the order was given to advance, clear up survivors and take town stragglers. They hoped to catch them scattered and in disarray. "Fire at will," rang over the intercom multiple times, and the troops advanced with great prejudice, attempting to shoot anything that "moved and came from a farm". Squads regrouped for this order, screaming orders at other squad members to prepare for the attack.
Meanwhile, LCDRs made good time aiding families and refuges in multiple cities, making sure they are able to escape to safety. Few reports have been sent back to Krakinheds on the matter, mainly from the cities involving status and security of the civillians.

Star City
The civilians are generally panic-y, mainly concerned with saving their worldly belongings as they piled aboard ships and airliners for the escape. There were Anthros in abundance, wearing collars that marked them as personal slaves. The Anthros were primarily being used like pack animals, carrying luggage and goods for the Federation citizens.
South of the city
The Krakinheds advance would be joined by reinforcements from the city itself, as the soldiers grabbed their weapons and moved forward. Here and there, gunshots wound ring out as they encountered a wounded Anthro and finished them off. Federation medics moved among the human and Krakinheds wounded, taking them back to Star City.
As the human advance neared the treeline, hundreds of weapons opened up. Light machineguns and SAWs spat tracers back and forth, sweeping the advance as though to keep their heads down.
Mortars launched from the woods began falling among the Federation and Krakinheds positions, while the rocket artillery could be heard far off, firing their payloads again into the air.

The KAC soldiers screamed as many were shot down where they stood, and explosions from mortars rocked their positions. Many of the soldiers were losing morale under the condition of falling for such cowardly ambushes. Once again, an order was given to retreat back out, using the "leap frog" tactic, having sqauds advance slowly, one after another, everyone else covering the running man's escape.
Under the chaos of it all, the soldiers of the KAC made a point to assist the federations escape, knowing well that they need all the man power they can handle. The soldiers were given orders to fortify positions incase they give chase to support an escape so they may all regroup.
A liuetenant from the KAC charged back, hoping to find an official in charge of the Federation army. They needed vehicular support, as well as artillery and any aerial possible available.

Star City
The lieutenant came upon the Federated command post, where officers were clustered under the saftey of some overhanging rocks from a nearby cliff that bordered one edge of the city. Artillery was still landing among the Federated command positions, but not like it was before. The Federated artillery was replying in kind, trying to suppress the incoming fire.
"What's that? Air support? We got no runways, boy! Listen, I'm going to call in some helicopters, but we don't have many! Most of them are off fighting in the mountains."

While the allied forces retreated, a few armored vehicles rolled forward. Their crews carefully tested the wind, then jumped out, fiddled with something in the backs of the trucks and ran for cover with the rest of the allied forces.
From large tanks in the backs of the trucks, spigots and valves opened up. Clouds of yellowish smoke began pouring out, billowing with the wind into the woods.
Some Anthros too close to get their MOPP gear on in time ran stumbling away, choking, skin blistered and blinded. They fell to the ground, muscles locking up and blood and foam pouring from their mouths, eyes and ears as they died.
Shouts could be heard in the woods, Anthro soldiers tugged on their MOPP gear, gas masks, gloves and body protection as the smoke rolled over them. Units were moving out of the way, pulling further back into the trees in a more-frenzied retreat than had been seen before.
Engineers stayed behind, under the cover of the gas and smoke charges from earlier, laying claymores along the edge of the trees facing the farms before they too retreated.
From Star City, fifteen helicopter gunships whirled through the air, their rocket pods launching clusters of rockets down into the woods blindly, unable to see past the branches and leaves but just trying to hit something.

The KAC forces began withdrawing, hoping to avoid getting caught within the gas should the wind suddenly change. They would make their stop at a safe distance away in order to get necessary equipment out of their packs, like gas-masks and the like. Many forces aimed their MIAR-1s towards the enemy side of the forest, should the anthros attempt to push through.
The Liuetenant was not happy. For one, he was called boy. For another, gunships, albeit manueverable, were easily picked from the sky by SAMs and Stingers. "Sir, I understand the lack of air fields, but isn't their any other way to get your aircraft off the ground?"
Meanwhile, the KAC back on the field began heavy work on fortifying an ambush, keeping a line of infantry aimed at the forest to hold the anthros at bay should they come. Many forces took to cover and tried to get as good a view as they could, while others went for elevated areas in which to place their recoilless rifles at.

Nightfall would soon come. The fighting had lasted all day, from morning until night. Occasional artillery fire would exchange between the two sides, but very little eise. Nor did either side seem willing to advance and lose people needlessly.
When dawn came around again, it found the farmlands pitted with artillery and bomb craters, and the bodies of Anthros scattered about, as the Anthros had been unable to collect their wounded and dead in the retreat.
A fog had rolled in from the sea, and the flatlands were shrouded with mist.
Star City was pretty much deserted by now, the civilians having fled to another nearby nation for saftey, while Federated soldiers fortified the position with ambushes and explosives.
The Federation had lost a couple of gunships, but still had a dozen left for the fight.
In the early mist of morning, vague shapes could be seen moving at the edge of the forest, no doubt Anthro infantry getting into position.

The order exploded from the squad captains, as all over radio transmissions could be heard to "Fire at will!". The positions of the KAC soldiers waiting in fortified positions lit up, as they unleashed an onslaught of gunfire from their positions, sending streams of their ammo out at them with great prejudice. Recoilless Rifles waited for a view of armoured transports, and transmissions were being sent to the federation to open fire.
The lieutenant had gotten back to the field already, ordering squads around to deal with the incoming forces. Having reports of being barely able to see them, they hoped they could at least scare them off for another plan. They would attempt to get the Anthros to unleash artillery, and attempt to escape, as they pounded their positions, in an attempt to exhaust their ammo.
The lieutenant screamed over the radio, "For the honour of the .50! For the safety of this nation's people!"

Some of the shapes in the mist collapsed abruptly, while others clearly dove for cover. Unseen before, light machine guns returned fire, sending bursts that sought out muzzle flashes with streams of bullets.
APCs were glimpsed just briefly as they rolled forward, probably deploying more infantry. Several were struck with the recoiless rifles (Heh.. ever play Infantry Online?) and were crippled or destroyed. One of the APCs caught fire, and soldiers with their uniforms aflame staggered out of the trees screaming. One squirrel anthro, her bushy tail on fire and her face trailing smoke fell to her knees, clutching at her face. A Federated fireteam opened up on her, cutting her down.
Moments later, there was just nothing to shoot at. With both sides under cover, the gunfire slowed and then stopped.
Perhaps ten minutes passed before another barrage of mortar fire fell among the KAC and Federated lines, it seemed more to keep them occupied than anything else.

The Lieutenant not going to follow the rest of the KAC battalion, and remained behind with the federation, keeping his squad with him. He forced himself to remain behind and fight if they advanced again.
The first war report, however, reached Krakinheds throughout the night, and the response came quickly in a memo.
More forces are being prep'ed and readied for take off, they'll be sure to arrive by the end of the day. We are considering sending in a special forces unit aswell, but we are holding back on that decision.

The KAC units moving to the right flank ran into quite a suprise. Anthros wearing marine BDUs, full MOPP gear and carrying rifles were moving out of the woods from that flank, and the two forces met, catching sight of each other as they nearly ran into each other in a cornfield along the western edge of the flatlands. The Anthros had been flanking too, and now the two flanking forces began blasting away at each other through the corn field.
The Anthro Marines fell back a couple hundred feet to take cover behind the stone fence that rings in the corn field.
In the center of the Federation line, there came the whoop of helicopters. Little Bird OH1 helicopters swept in from the trees, with vulcan miniguns mounted on each landing strut. The miniguns opened up with a wave of fire that looked like a solid stream of bright red tracers that would pour down to the ground, often richocetting from the stone fences or some particularly hard vehicle surface.
The high caliber rounds chopped men to pieces and ripped at equipment, blasting holes into armor as though cardboard hit by a shotgun.
(Here's a demo video of what the miniguns can do. It's a somewhat.. adult-ish site, with ads for other websites. So, don't view it with kids around. http://www.strangeland.com/asp/show.asp?id=9608 )

In the onslaught of the vulcan fire, the squad recoilless rifleman took it upon himself to attempt to knock one out of the sky, firing off his round before the bullets were upon him. The rest of the squad made haste, attempting to hide in cover as to prepare a counter attack against the copters. However, on the lieutenant's retreat, a stray bulet ripped through his leg and disabled him with an exit wound through his thigh. He stayed down, despite his scream, and hoped to be mistaken for dead.
The KAC flanking force, however, would not let up, and pushed forth. Many of them took grenades and wailed them over to the fence, aiming carefully to pick them off should they come pop over the fence to throw them back. The KAC soldiers were quick to disperse, seeking shelter in whatever cover they could find amidst the cornfield.

While the Federated and KAC forces in the center fell back to positions they had prepared earlier, the Anthros advanced steadily under the cover of the helicopters, which were by now taking heavy small arms fire.
One pilot jinked his chopper to the side, nearly avoiding the recoiless rifle shot from the ground, but it clipped the tail. The back half the the Little Bird distintigrated, and without the tail rotor the helicopter spun wildly out of control, crashing behind the KAC lines. The pilot weakly began to climb out of the cockpit, her flightsuit bloody.
Meanwhile, the KAC lieutenant opened his eyes to see the handsome tiger face of a male anthro looking down at him. He seemed to be waving at someone, and a medic approached. The tiger spoke, "You're not one of them. Who are you?" Brows furrowing.

Grenades went off, some screams were heard and yells for medics sounded out. However, several Anthros popped up quickly, underslung 203 grenade launchers attached to their rifles, which they fired off towards the KAC positions. As quick as they were, a couple were still hit by gunfire however.
Radio messages went out, and soon the KAC flanking force could hear an infantry fighting vehicle approaching, its 30mm cannon swiveling back and forth as though searching for targets as it began to spit out a stream of shots into the cornfield blindly.

The lieutenant lay there, shocked. They had left him, and he was now caught unarmed, save for his side-arm and a few grenades, with the enemy. He was in a tight fix at this point in time, and slowly slid his hand down to his side-arm. If he would be shot down, he would make sure to take some down with him. Finally, however, he spoke, not wasting a chance at survival. "I... I am a soldier of the Ammo Conglomerate of Krakinheds," he stated, masking his rank intentionally.
At the cornfield, many soldiers hit the dirt, some intentionally, others from the grenades and 30mm cannon. At that point, the soldiers with recoilless rifles began to re-load and focused on the possible location of the vehicle, meanwhile the remainder of the infantry force made their way carefully through the cornfield, stopping occasionally to shoot back.

The location of the IFV was pretty obvious, from the direction the cannon rounds were coming from. It paused by a small shed, and the doors opened up. Marines carried wounded into the vehicle as it waited, turret twitching as it searched for targets. Once it was loaded with wounded, the IFV began to back away from the fight while the marines set down claymores and also withdrew in the wake of the vehicle.

The tiger rumbled quietly, eyes narrowing. "This isn't your fight, man. It is between us, and the Federation." The medic leaned over him, cutting away the lieutenant's trouser leg and starting to bandage up the wound. "You are a prisoner now. You will be treated better no doubt, than our prisoners are being treated now."
At the KAC position, the downed helo pilot sagged down to her knees, clutching at one arm which bled heavily from a piece of shrapnel from the recoiless rifle hit. A Federation officer approached, kicking her onto her back and drawing his pistol, which he leveled at her face.

The forces quickly made an escape, attempting their daring escape out of the cornfields and into more protective cover. This time they focused more on an escape rather than retalliation. Orders rang out over the radio, and they quickly made their way to the only optional route they could take available. Many of them were promptly shot down, unfortunately.
The lieutenant didn't take kindly to this, and quickly responded, "The hell it isn't! What's stopping you from destroying the rest of humanity after you're finished here?!" In retrospect, he didn't think this was as good of an idea. He took a hold of the holster on his side-arm, and prepared for the worst without unholstering his weapon.

Tracer fire swept overhead, but the tiger did not flinch. His eyes dropped down to where the lieutenant's hand was, and he tilted his head. "That is not the course of action you want to take, man. You may have a family that needs you, or you will someday. Dying here and now would be a waste. Me, I must fight on, until my last breath if I must."
He reached into one pocket of his BDUs and produced a photograph. "This was my family. Last year, my wife's car was struck by a drunk driver. Both of our children were inside. My children were badly hurt, as was the human who was driving the other vehicle. Because she deemed to help our children with the first aid kit in our trunk, she was found guilty of murder. You see, the judge decided that she was responsible for the human's death, because she did not try to tend his wounds, and instead tried to save the lives of our children. She was executed the next day."
He leaned down, holding the photograph infront of the lieutenant's face accusingly, "Our children died, and because she tried to save them, she was executed!" The photograp shows the tiger male wearing a good suit, and a tiger female wearing a nice dress, with two young ones sitting on their laps. Obviously a proud family photo. "And you fight for them!" His voice was deepening now, almost hoarse with anger.
The officer caught himself however, shoved the photo back into his pocket and continued on. The medic looked after him, then at the lieutenant. Without saying another word, the medic continued his work on the wound as a pair of soldiers approached, one holding out his paw for the lieutenant's sidearm.

The Lieutenant was very uncooperative at this point, and pulled his leg away from the medic, fighting to his feet and attempting to stand, keeping his head down to avoid getting shot, and attempting to balance on his bad leg. "I do not fight for them, for their executions, for their cruelty or their men. I fight for the honour of my homeland, for the people who I will eventually have to protect!" He exclaimed, leaving and angered glare before turning and ignoring the soldiers attempting to disarm him... which he knew was a mistake.
Without giving much thought, the lieutenant began to limp away, knowing well he may get shot or worse. "A... erg... Prisoner... I... am... not... erg." He said, forgetting his Dog-tag on the ground, giving the name "Ethan Martin" engraved on the tag. What the hell am I doing, lay down, let them take you, they're gonna shoot you! He kept thinking...

Through the door of the tent stormed a squad of Federation infantry, who leveled their weapons at the Anthro medics and aid workers and opened fire.
Here and there, KAC and Federation wounded were on stretchers, treated as well as anyone else. The Federated soldiers moved among them, shooting those who were Anthros and taking up the stretchers of those who were not for transport back to Star City.

However, he saw the dead medics and aid workers lying on the ground, and shock took over him. He hastily pulled himself out of his stretcher and almost collapsed, gaining balance and limping to the soldiers, and swinging his fist towards one of them.
Rage filled him, as he promptly screamed, "What the HELL do you think you're doing?! They were treating my wound you bastards!! Erg!" He buckled down on his thigh, thinking that tight clutching of the wound will ease the pain. " You... didn't... have... to kill them..."

The crew then began to bail out and dive for cover, smoke billowing out of the turret's main hatch.
The fighting vehicles rolled down off the road, their cannons spraying the field, and firing ports on the side letting mechanized infantry within fire out at the same time.

The truck carrying Lt. Martin bumped and shook as it cut through the forest with several others, heading back to Star City via an indirect route. The Anthros still held the center of the flatlands, and the Federated soldiers there had suffered all throughout the morning.
The truck suddenly sped up, and there was an explosion. The truck veered, then crashed, rolling over onto its side. When Martain climbed out, he could see an Anthro attack helicopter hovering several hundred yards away, with guided missiles reaching out to one-by-one explode the vehicles in the little convoy.
It soon turned away and zoomed over the trees again out of sight. Surviors from the attack continued on foot towards Star City, stepping out into the flatlands along the eastern front, where things are relatively quiet.

To the north of Star City out in the ocean, a picket line of Anthro destroyers and frigates settled in with their search radars on full gear, just waiting for more KAC aircraft to try and get involved in this war. Several ASW helicopters circled, searching for submarines.
They allowed the evacuating ships to flee the country, and did not fire at the civilian airliners however.

"Still making their way towards Star City from the west. They ran into some resistance, but drove them into the woods. Western flank is secure, we're securing the east now. 1st Airborne's Easy Company took some casulties, though." A short, somewhat chubby little white tiger male stood on the turret of an M113 command track, chewing on a thick catnip cigar that wasn't lit. His chubby cheeks lifted a bit as he squinted, peering down into a valley that his unit was overlooking. His uniform was clean, pressed and bore the unit patch of the 1st Cavalry Division. His fritz helmet had two general stars.
The dimunitive tiger stomped one boot on the top of the APC, "Oi!"
An owl poked his head out of the hatch, large eyes made seemingly even larger by the glasses he wore. He also had Major's insignia on his BDU and helmet. Blinking, he looked up, "Mrrrsir?"
Dmitri squinted, pointing a paw down into the valley where tiny puffs of smoke could be seen in the distance, "Oi wondah wot's goin' on down tah, wot? Ah need intellergence!"
The owl disappeared inside the track for a few minutes. Dmitri scratched his tail, waiting. After several minutes he sat down near the hatch, chomping at the cigar and peering down the valley. A couple of Anthro helicopters could be seen heading away from the scene.
The owl abruptly poked his head back out, startling the little tiger enough that he nearly fell from his perch. "Yessir! Hrmph! Ah, hrmph! That's Third Batallion, hrmph! They cornered a mixed brigade of infantry and armor down there at the north end of the valley, hrmph! Seem to have it under control, minimal losses yessir, hrmph!"

The radio replied, an intelligent female voice, "Huh? Oh, Dmitri. This is General Cyan. Congratulations on your victory in the western front. Please begin deployment for Phase 4, Operation Stonewall." Dmitri confirmed before handing the radio back.

Karlimina, Krakinheds. Yesterday
"This shall not be tolerated. Though we are a nation very knowledgable of equality no matter what the cost, we know these Anthros are vengeful against humans." A man in his early twenties exclaimed at a press conference, in front of the parlaiment coast's main building. "We must quell their forces there, or risk possibilty of genocide of both races." He waited, letting a few photos flash and a bit of writing to subside. "After consulting the .45s, we are launching what we call "Operation Infection", which we hope to see start tomorow night. With luck, we may be able to solve this diplomatically, if not, we will have to destroy them for the safety of our nation." Without answering in return, the man turned and walked into the building behind him, ignoring the call of the media behind him.
Forests
Hearing the call, thunder, all the KAC forces threw up their arms to show no hostility. "Stop! We're unarmed!" A soldier, one breaking down nervously, exclaimed. Many of the soldiers sighed, but it was more for relief rather than anguish. "Please! Don't shoot!" He continued, and a squad captain marched ahead of the 42 other soldiers. "We ditched our weapons a few miles back in the woods, so don't expect a surprise attack. I just proclaim a surrender for the safety of my men."
Outside Star City
By this time, the LCDRs were out of the city, now keeping with any refuges with their motto in mind: The Public is NOT the price. This line, to them, meant that the public should not suffer for warfare they didn't want to be involved in, and the LCDRs were designed to make sure they wouldn't have tor.
The LCDRs, however, were keeping their radio lines open incase they're called back to the city to fight.
Krakinheds Sea, today
A massive sqaudron of jets and jet-fighters alike were inbound for Feluca. The jets, at least ten of them, carried many soldiers who were to 'support' the front line of the KAC forces, many soldiers armed with Krakinheds Sniper Rifles, but the others armed with the standard MIAR-1s, though with special accessories. The jet-fighters were uncountable, numerous squadrons of them acting as escorts after field reports of how well armed and equipped the Anthros were. They maintained a great altitude above the sea, staying over the clouds they encountered on their way out of Krakinheds
Road
Ethan began limping back towards the Anthro lines. By now, he had heard and seen what the Anthros were fighting against, and he wasn't going to stop there. He started having the thoughts that the Anthros just didn't decide they were superior to humans and began a revolution to prove their dominance. "I must be the only reasonable... son of a bitch... out here, heh," he uttered to himself, trying to keep himself distracted from the leg wound.

Felucan Sea
When the stealth bombers opened up their bays to launch missiles, that immedietly caught the attention of radar operators. Stealth aircraft are only 'stealthy' until those weapons bays open up.
Onboard one of the frigates, a quick-thinking SAM weapons system operator locked his spread of missiles onto the stealth bomber flight and triggered them. Meanwhile, 25mm and 30mm flak guns were pumping rounds into the sky, setting them to burst in patterns at, below and above the height of the bombers indicated by radar.
Meanwhile, ships were manuvering while CIWS point defense guns began to spray the path of the incoming missiles with bullets. Several were hit, while several more slipped through and struck the Anthro ships.
A destroyer floundered under the impact of three SSM hits, then errupted into a fireball as a fourth struck it. Four other ships were also heavily damaged, two beginning to sink while two more limped towards shore to beach themselves.
Forests
There was a minute of tension, then a big Anthro stood up from his concealment behind a patch of ferns. A bear. In his thick arms, he gripped a carbine version of the standard Anthro assault rifle. Beside him, another Anthro could be seen talking on a radio.
Movement indicated at least a squad out here, spread out. Later, a truck came rolling up from the south, and a sleek fox female hopped out of the passenger seat. Her helmet has 'MP' on it in white letters, and she has a pistol on her hip. Behind her, a few more MPs were getting out of the truck while she approached the KAC soldiers, "I'm Corporal Dina. What are your conditions of surrender?"
Outside the city
The LCDRs escorting the civilians on the ships would probably find it strange indeed. While a couple of Anthro ships went by, smoking, they did not take the opportunity to seek revenge. The civilians were allowed free passage out of the country and away from the combat.
Road
It would be several miles before Ethan encountered anything. He passed the wrecks of the little Federation convoy, and then heard sounds up ahead. He was on the edge of the field hospital that the Federation had raided, and where Ethan had been found. He found himself almost tripping over something, and looking down he found a body laying among the ferns. It was the medic that had attended to him in the field, bullet holes in his back.

Western Flank
The 71st Airborne Company that had encountered KAC flankers now sat about two fifths of a mile outside of Star City. A lieutenant was crouched on the roof of a Bradley fighting vehicle, his perch allowing him to peer through binoculars over a hedge row. The lieutenant, a sleek male cougar was talking to a mouse Anthro that stood behind the Bradley, taking notes on a little scratch pad. "Eleven, I want a fragmentation pattern with a spread of about one hundred meters. Target tweleve, make that a mix of fragmentation and impact. Saturate it." The mouse saluted and trotted off to where a handful of trucks were pulling up with towed artillery behind them.
Crews wearing patches of the 5th Artillery Batallion were busy unloading the towed pieces and turning them towards the city. Ammunition carriages were being set up a standard 15 feet back from the guns, and the cougar passed out target lists for the battery.
10 guns, each one a light 105mm cannon were elevated towards Star City. They did not have a direct line of sight due to the hedge row, but with the aid of caculations, the barrels were directed towards the appropriate targets.
The mouse waved towards the Airborne cougar lieutenant, and he nodded once before radioing a message off to the rest of his company.
Thirty seconds later, the gunners of the 105mm guns pulled the lanyard ropes on their guns, and the weapons' barrels kicked back, sending their rounds streaking off through the sky with just barely enough clearance to get over the hedge rows. The bushes waved back and forth under the blast waves.
A couple of seconds later, blasts errupted in Star City as artillery rounds exploded in the air over targets or rained down directly on them. Focusing on the few anti-air emplacements left in the city.
Coming down the farm road behind the company position was another unit of infantry wearing Airborne fatigues following a handful of trucks. The infantry, about two hundred in all. The 70th Airborne Company, moving in to reinforce the 71st. With them came fresh supplies for the artillery and reloads for the Bradleys and infantry.
Behind the infantry came two larger trucks with six large tubes on the back each. These are SAMs, the sophisticated heavy-duty types. A version very similiar to the Patriot system.
The SAM trucks went off the road on opposite sides and took up positions. One near a barn, the other ramming over several small apple trees as it rolled into the apple tree patch. Hydrolic jacks pushed the tubes upwards on their swivel mounts, and radar equipment was set out by the crews. Two squads of infantry would join each of the trucks to serve as ground defense.

The squad captain had been rather shocked, thinking not to be in a position to request a conditional surrender. He had taken this as an opporitunity to get his men home. With both arms still in the air, he put his left into a fist and extended the thumb in the direction of the KAC personnel. "I want them to have safe passage back to our homeland," he stated breifly, and to the point.
Felucan Sea
The bombers, many of which were hit, but others taking it upon themselves to enter as evasive manuevers as they could, continued to unleash an onslaught upon the boats, making them their priority for now. For the ones that were hit and now falling, the pilot would wrestle the controls to attempt to direct the flaming, plummeting bomber into one of their boats, arming whatever weapons they'd have left along the way. The ones that made it performed a half-flip, gaining more altitude and twisting at the top of their flip to straighten their craft. On their path back to the fleet, they began to carpet bomb the seas, hoping their cluster bombs would strike their boats on their fly-bys.
Outside the City
"Sir, I don't think they're on our side," a voice said over the intercom, as one of the soldiers pointed in the direction of the boats. "They're not shooting at us, they're just floating their and smoking," he continued. A man, clearly a captain, responded back over the intercom, "Hmmm... regardless, they are the enemy. If any of you even think of going near those boats to offer assistance, you will be punished heavily."

Ethan was rather disturbed at the sight of this corpse, he had begun to wish he hadn't decided to travel back this way, and go to the anthro lines for his own mission, but he had no choice but to. After a brief pause, he turned and continued on his path, now realizing that the anthros may as well show the same prejudice to him as the federation showed to them. He needed a radio...
Overseas
The massive air raid had suddenly began to alter their course, now getting transmissions from the bombers as they were being shot down. "Mayday! Mayday! We are under attack off the shore of Feluca, we request revision of plans! Path is not clear!" A voice rang out over the transmission, as it was played to each individual air-craft. They had no choice, they altered their course, how is currently unknown.

The fox female looked the KAC soldiers up and down, clearly not at all pleased to be dealing with foreigners in this fight. Especially foreigners that had come to fight against this war for freedom. "Very well. We will transport you to your homeland." She gestured to her MPs and they began loading the KAC prisoners up into the trucks that the MPs had arrived in.
Felucan Sea
Three of the larger destroyers cranked its cannons towards the sky and began blasting away at the bombers attempting to crash into them. Meanwhile, a frigate suddenly accelerated to avoid a diving bomber, managing to make it partially out of the way and instead getting clipped by a bomber, as it sheered away the radar and communicators tower of the frigate.
A corvette sped into a tight turn, firing SAMs towards the bombers that unwisely continued to bomb instead of just closing their hatches and running.
Two Anthro ships were caught up as the sea around them errupted like a geyser, carpet bombing washing over their position. The decks of other warships were being evacuated, getting the sailors under cover.
West Felucan Sea
Another flotilla of grey warships were approaching from the western front now, their radars pinging at high power, pencil-thin beams of high energy seeking out targets in the sky. Out of range of the battle, but not for too much longer.

There don't seem to be any working radios. There had been a M113 command track at the site, but it was a blackened shell now, gutted by fire. However, engines could be heard approaching up the road towards the field camp from the south, Anthro territory.

A long convoy of infantry carriers came rolling down Route 13 towards Star City. Upon arriving at the edge of the forest and the beginning of the flatlands, the carriers began to spread out into tiers, the backs opening up and soldiers of the 34th, 37th and 38th Mechanized Infantry Companies came running out the backs, turned the corner and ran into positions overlooking the city with yells of "Hoooooah!"

OOC:Mind if I jump in here? Forgive me about my names... I suck with Russian ones >_<.
IC:Just outside of what was once Federation Waters, but now under control of the anthro rebellion, was a single, unarmed, Red Tidean Freighter, flying both the Red Tidean Fag and a Whte Fag. This particular freighter carried no cargo... except for Major-General Ioseph Korisvov, his aides, and five Consortium Agents, armed only with sidearms.
The captain checked both his GPS and his inertial guidance, gave a quick nod, and picked up his radio... set on a frequency known to be used by the Anthros.
You see, the Red Tidean Goverment didnt notice the situation in the Federation until a recon sattelite passed revealed smoked out hulks of cities. This warranted enough interest to assign some Intellegince-Consortium(simply called the Consortium) Personnel to monitor it. Then the Red Tideans decided to send an envoy... to the Anthros.
The Captain began to speak into the radio, his voice had a moderate Russian accent(Red Tideans are pre-dominantly Russian) and he said. "Attention, any Anthropomorphs listening to this radio message. This is the Red Tidean Freighter 'Little Saturn'"
The freighter was named after the codename of the counter-offensive by the Soviet Union back in 1942 that ultimately defeated the Germans at Stalingrad.
"We carry a representative of our goverment who wishes to speak with you. Please hold on."
The Captain handed the radio over to the Major-General who began to speak, his voice was a bit more gruff, but less of an accent "Greetings, Citizens of the... well, I suppose you havent named your new nation yet. This is Ioseph Korisvov, commanding officer of the Red Tidean 15th Corps. I have been selected by the Goverment of Red Tide. We wish to meet a high-ranking official of your goverment in your lands. Aboard the destroyer Anzio, one Captain John Franko grunted at the message he was recieving. The otter Anthro slipped into the bridge and picked up the radio set, nearly choking the radio officer with the cord until the dopey looking mole uncoiled it from around his head.
"This is Captain Franko of the Anzio, you are directly in threat of engagement. Please bring your vessel around to southerly bearings to position 109.02 by 99.44 on GPS navigation."
Which would indicate a small fishing port that had been deserted when the fighting began, about 20 miles down the western coast of Feluca.
Franko looked at his radio officer and muttered, "Just what we needed, to accidentally sink a foreigner's ship and get -another- strange country attacking us." The mole nodded repeatedly before tugging the radio out of the Captain's hands by the cord. He struggled with the dangling device, then tucked it back into its place in a little net holder by his comm system.

The Major-General responded, "I have my orders, if you want to do something about it, take it up with them." He said pointing at the Consortium Agents, who had an eternal montonous expression etched on their face... to the point where it could scare you. The Captain quickly reconsidered.

The port had dozens of fishing and freight ships at docks, but seemed pretty much deserted. Some military vehicles could be seen in the little town, and a blackened patrol ship was tilting to one side in the bay, also deserted.
When the freighter docks, a party of soldiers are waiting for them at the end of the pier. There are several infantry, some officers (All sorts of Anthro types present) and one little white tiger figure in BDUs and polished boots with an airborne unit patch his shoulder. He looks up as the ramp of the freighter comes down and rests his fists on his hips, squinting purple eyes suspiciously. "Nah, wot's all tah abah?"
An owl standing beside him blinked his large eyes, "Hrmph! Don't know, General. Seems some foreigners almost got themselves, hrmph, sunk over near Star City, hrmph!"

Quickly following him was two more Agents, then a man in a military uniform, wearing a cap with three stars sown on. Then a man also in a uniform, but this time wearing a Colonels insignia appeared, followed by two more Consortium Agents.
The sailors heads began to pop up and the anthros quickly attracted ALOT of stares from the ships crew. The Consortium Agents however, showed no intereest in the Anthros, preferring to constantly scan the area for possible threats. the General and Colonel showed some signs of emotion, mainly curiousity. As the small procession reached the bottom, The three Consortium Agents stood to either side of the ramp, when the General reached the bottom he smiled, hled out his hand and said(in english), "Greetings, I am Major-General Ioseph Korisvov. May I speak to the senior commander of this group?"

A few of the Anthros shifted on their feet, looking back up at the sailors. The Anthros of course are all sorts of animals, just in the shape of a human body. The ones with tails had them poking out of the backs of their trousers.
At the beach end of the pier, a military truck rolls up and out steps a female hare, sleek and curvy wearing a well-tailored uniforms that had stars glittering at the collar. He trailed off as he realized some of the Anthros were staring up at his freighter, he turned his head back towards it... and as quickly as they appeared, the sailors heads disappeared as soon as the Generals head started moving. The General shrugged and continued on.
"And maybe direct intervention by Red Tidean forces on your side."

One private dug into his backpack, then tossed a MRE ration out at Ethan's feet. And soon enough, they would be around a corner and out of sight towards Star City to the north.

The General nodded, "We havnt established the intentions of Krakinheds, the one supporting your enemies. It could be anything, really." He then turned to his aide, "Colonel Avesk! Please get the information on our logistical transport units."
The Colonel opened one of the briefcases he had and dug out a file. He handed it to the General, who handed it to General Cyan, "That contains the information on our ground transport units. From humvees to artillery towing tractors."
The folder detailed the following:
HMMWV:http://www.army.mil/fact_files_site/hmmwv/index.html
T-503 Multi-Purpose truck: A standard truck, roughly similar to the Deuce-and-a-half, capable of transporting three tons of supplies/troops/medium sized towed artillery.
T-506 Tracked Vehicle Transport: Due to the fact that long-range travel can wear out the tracks on tracked AFVs, this transport was designed, capable of carrying the 78.6 ton MBT-66 tank. Has enough room for one MBT-66 or two APC-45s.
T-600 Heavy Artillery Tractor: With the design of the Art-175 Artillery Gun, and the AT-175 Anti-Tank Gun, there was no vehicle in the Red Tide Military capable of transporting these ponderous weapons. The T-600 tractor remedied that problem, capable of towing up to 90 tons, this tractor can also be used as a tow-truck for disabled AFVs.

At a moments notice, a radio transmission reached his intercomm. He listened intently, and kneeled down to grab the ration. It seemed quite clear to him what was going on, and the Anthros seemed very reluctant to answer. He answered the transmission breifly, "Head to Lockburn, get me some answers." He then started down the road they came from, once again limping and hoping for a more welcoming group.
Lockburn
The man stood there, unmoving and unconvinced. "I know you won't shoot us, all of us are unarmed. I'm just running on the assumption that you're not lying" He said briefly and to the point. "Yes or No, our nation deployed our men for the wrong reason?" He questioned very matter of factly.
Star City
The LCDRs turned after the civillians made it to safety, and they began to search the city for any left-behinds. Constantly, they heard "All clear" and "Just executed anthros" commonly over the intercomm, but as they knew Star City would come under seige, and that the federation was too weak and frankly too unreliable for proper aid, they would have to pull out. They had no proper artillery support and no proper air-support either, so they would just get themselves killed.
However, none agreed to leave, and began regrouping for possible defense for the city. They had a job to do, and they were going to give the anthros hell for threatening the lives of civillians by such a sudden revolution. They had heard that reinforcements would arrive for them, but they have yet to see them arrive. A few thousand men now began to scatter in squads, radiating out from the center of the city, just not heading south bound.

General Cyan looked at the page for a minute or two, then handed it to the owl. "Thank you, Major General. The hummers should be fine. I just need to get some transportation for my men from here to Star City. We have only two mechanized brigades with a scattering of motorized assets here and there. I assume you want some kind of payment for loan of the vehicles."
Road/Route 9
It would be quite a walk. Lockburn is about ten miles south. However, after about half a mile, he comes upon a scene of devestation. The road leads up onto a highway, and scattered up and down the highway are destroyed vehicles with Federation markings. Many are blackened shells from anti-vehicle rounds, while many others have multiple bullet holes. A nearby jeep is sitting in the middle of the road, bullet holes in the windshield and the driver slumped over. The jeep seems to be intact, though. Laying all over are Federation soldiers, dead. On the hills to either side of the road are blackened patches and explosive holes, as well as some Anthro bodies.
Lockburn
The fox MP glared, "That depends, human. Does your government support slavery and genocide?" She lightly punched her driver in the shoulder and the jeep took off back towards the main terminal of the airport.
The other trucks with the machine guns were still there though, their weapons pointed towards the grounded planes.
Star City
The LCDRs found that many of the Federation officers had taken off with the civilians on ships and airliners bound for other countries. The leader of the LCDR forces stationed at Star City encountered a Federation Colonel with a large, thick mustache. "You there boy! Listen. These filthy animals are preparing for another attack on the city. I want you to take your men and attack them! I need to.. attend to something." He gestured vaguely and hurried off.

Ethan looked upon the ruins, shocked and sick to his stomach at the nightmare of a site. He looked around, but oddly felt more sorry for the Anthros. "Sir... the Federation is running away," a transmission said on the intercomm. Ethan cursed, and glared at the corpses of the federation. "Ta hell with it, I want you to fall back, evacuate Star City. If the Federation wanted their nation safe, they would have stayed and fought, provided proper support, etc." Ethan responded. A prompt affirmative went over the intercomm, but Ethan continued onward, now he needed to stop the Anthros from retaliating against Krakinheds.

The airman stood their, deeply offended. He saw his nation grow up, and every ethnical, cultural, personal issues were resolved with freedom in mind under the Ammo Conglomeracy government. He wouldn't be in the army if that was what he was fighting for. He inhaled, prepared to scream, when suddenly a steady rhythym of loud screams erupted from the horizon.
Massive squads of men, draped in camoflauge and armed with highly customized and well equipped weapons began charging in with guns raised towards the drivers. They were screaming, "Freeze! Shoot and our snipers will open fire!"
The men, all 42 of them reached to unseen places and began jumping out of the plane, now well armed and aiming at the few machine gunners. They had them surrounded now. The airman, however, was not impressed, screaming "STUPID AVALANCERS! HOLD YOUR FIRE! GET BACK IN THE PLANE!"

The Avalancers had the advantage of range, and used their training to their advantage, opening fire back at the machine gunners, hitting prone to avoid getting shot. However, unseen "bangs" sounded out, and the machine gunners would be the target as unseen snipers opened fire at the main threat.
The squad members also shot at the machine gunners, though others turned their attention to the escaping car. The jet fighters, of which were circling the seas earlier, had flown in for an air strike, now launching air to ground missiles at the air-base to prevent any forces inside from getting onto the air field.

Ethan was seeing what must have been the most violent fight so far, and the cowardly federation were fortunately the losers. Seeing the dead man in the jeep brought a sudden thought to his mind, and he got back on the intercomm. "All LCDRs, open fire on the Federation," he said. A short pause, and soon multiple "What?!"s erupted on his intercomm. "The Federation don't deserve this nation. We've seen then mercilessly execute innocent Anthros and even seen them use cowardly techniques to kill them." Silence after his speech...

"You all heard the lieutenant, after the federation. Harm no civillians!" The LCDRs called to squad members, as they began to march back to the road where they were cowering down, regrouping to give an effective chase. "ACK!" He said, twirling around, "Oh... its you, how did it go?"
"Not as good as expected, but we were able to reach an agreement on ammunition and vehicles." the Ioseph said, "Now, I need to contact my superiors."
Ioseph got on a encrypted sattelite line and contacted his superiors.
"Everything went well, this is what they requested..."
An hour and a half later, a airbase somewhere in Red Tide Proper.
The Air Regiment(sixty planes) was ready to go. About 35 of the planes were loaded with 105mm shells, SABOT, HEAT, and HE shells to be specific. The rest were filled with Humvees and T-503s. When they ventured into the city again, they found the place deserted. Two men, each an Avalancer with a med-kit hopped onto one of the trucks with a machine gun, rushing to where to the wounded anthro was, intending on taking a hostage, but at the same time keeping her alive. The other soldiers made quick work to fortify the airbase, knowing well that the anthro's would not be happy about this.
Meanwhile, the pilots in the 14 other transport jets began sending transmissions to call in for more forces to be deployed at Lockburn.
One ship sent out a transmission, a non-encrypted one, to hopefully the Anthros. "This is the KAC and Elite Avalancer force, we request peaceful negotiation and will commit to leaving when a clause has been reached," the message said, and was set to repeat. The message came from the airman, who still thought this could be resolved with words.

Outside on the air-strip, the medics cursed and gave up hope, regretting having a dead ranking officer of the millitary on their hands. "She's dead... somebody give her a proper burial," they stated, before loading her carefully into the truck and driving back, preparing to put the machine gun to good use.
Off in the distance, coming in fast, was a jeep going at a few hundred miles an hour. "This is Lt Martin, hold your fire, whatever the hell you were doing," the driver demanded over the intercomm. Ethan had arrived, but he was not going to be happy.

Scattered about on the ground or in buildings are dead Anthros. These will be carried out of the city and laid down in rows, covered with blankets in a torn up lettuce field.
The former Federation government building - a huge, imposing structure modeled off of Roman architecture - now had several large holes in it, and the marble steps were blackened where napalm had splashed. There, several tanks parked and soldiers trotted inside. Nothing was found there, and within half an hour a flag was strung up on a pole in the courtyard. A purple flag with a golden pawprint insignia on it.

The arrival of the Grand General would be greeted with enthusasim, and he and whoever he brought with him would be treated as complete equals, even as friends by the Anthros.
Star City had been cleaned up a bit and the government building destroyed deliberately by demolitions crews.
The formal ceremonies would be held in a park in the city. There are thousands of Anthros in their formal 'Class A' uniforms. A stage and podium has been set up at one end of the park, and the rest is filled by rows of chairs.
The delegates from Red Tide are given seats with higher end officials near the front of the rows of chairs.
The first order of business is the signing of the New Felucan Constitution. The country will now be officially known as New Feluca, and will be considered one unbroken state with 20 smaller districts, each one electing a representitive. Any law passed requires a majority vote.
There will be one executive leader, elected by the Parliment with a term of 3 years.
This constitution was written and agreed upon before the revolution began, thus explaining how it was so quick to become existant. All 20 representitives are present, and the first elected Minister of Feluca is General Cyan. The same hare female that had been a major part of the overall offensive.
