Alright. I've established myself as a future tech nation, but discovered it's damned dull.

Now my question is, as long as I label my threads appropriately, am I allowed by the rules of the game to have a modern tech nation as well? IE: I keep my name, but if I start a thread, I label it either MT or FT (I do that anyway. But my question is, if I'm allowed to have two seperate 'realities' for myself) depending on which one I'm doing at the time?

Or are there rules against playing in both 'realities'?

Not at all. I personally play in multiple 'realities' at the same time(MT, FantasyT, FT ect)

Can't see why not. Kraven Corporation and Mini Miehm play in both PMT and FT, if I recall right.

Try the oceans. Floating cities are possible in MT (just hook a bunch of boats together).

If I did my homework correctly, there was a time when a nation called Muktar played in all three dimensions of Fantasy, Modern, and Future.

I believe you may be confusing the various Earth Rps with NS earth.
Earth RPs are seperate from NS earth.
NS Earth is far far bigger than the real earth. There are scads of new contients, oceans, ect.
Earth Rps(Ie: Earth X) are where some people RP and claim multiple territories for their rp.

See, that gives me some hope. There's no map or anything, right? I can just plop myself down somewhere? One of the main reasons I went with FT originally was because it seemed like outer space was the only thing left. And people THERE are claiming whole galaxies. Insanity.

Well. I have a neutral space station. Ended up with 10 different nations setting up embassies and markets there, but it seems except for 1 or 2 of them, they all found something else to do. Noticed several copycat space stations springing up here and there.

I too dabble in MT, despite my overwhelming FT presence, mainly because the character arcs of my Royal Family are based on Earth. Having ties to at least a PMT existence prior to the current FT threads, gives me some added vectors when needed/wanted.

Now if there was only a way I could justify an 'acquisistion' of PMT Japan... =^^= (Montana is out of the picture since Theao owns that area. =--= )

There is no official "map" of it. Some players just like to describe their surroundings or lay out with a few of their friends how far they are apart. Everyone kinda has a "map" in their heads. For the most part distance doesn't matter (SOMEWHAT, you can't be right beside everyone you go to war with)

Ya, basically you can just put yourself anywhere(draw a map and if you have someone who's agreed to share a border then add them, otherwise don't put people beside you)

Like GA said, my F/PM/NFT varient of Theao managed to get most of the state of Montana(Mostly by buying it from people as they sold it)

Just a note/word of warning, sex, at least anything beyond a indirect reference is frowned upon, and explicit/rape is strictly no-no. I believe both carry a temp forum ban(NOTAMOD)

Well there you go, setting up a station is nice and all, but diplomacy might not bring you the exciting RPs you want to do. I'm only involved in diplomacy RPs all the time for the following OOC reasons:

-I don't RP much, so battle threads were one must check in every hour for the latest is just impractical for me.
-My space Navy sucks.
-My people are supposed to be enlightened, peace loving, only fight fiercely when defending interests, etc.
-My space Navy sucks.

IC'ly, the reasoning is:

-My people don't like to die.
-Diplomacy is as safe as a rusted out land mine.


I haven't seen you do much else. Go ahead, "accidentally" wind up in my home world, "accidentally" destroy a star...

As for the Japan bit. I'm obviously not rping the type that invades without serious reason. The buying bit would work if I knew whom was running the area generally speaking.

I presume that there 'is' someone using Japan MT-PMT presently. Trying to rp any kind of take over of MT-PMT Japan otherwise would probably get someone mad. =^^=;;

I know how mad people can get around here after one year at this stuff.

Truth be told, I just claimed Montana, so why not just claim the Japanese island you want and be done with it.

Why not... I'd rather make it a diplomatic type thread for a claim, since Second Lady Excellency Arashi is originally from Japan.

Ya, and good luck on that. Maybe she has to go 'home' for some ritual or somesuch.

I was more thinking 'birthday present' type deal, though impact wise, the Ascendancy would be more 'behind the scenes', slowly progressing Japan from PMT to FT, due in part to their present techology base gets infusion from my own.

This will be a fun and complex rp. =^^=
