CHERUB III Wargames

Gugreau
30-12-2005, 03:31
General Matthew Dresden stood over the tatical command center. A stream of constantly updating battlefield information. These where Gugreau's first major international wargame in a long time, and the whole government was watching him to make sure he does well.

He was the main sponsor of the light infantry school, a career gamble which, at least in his mind had paid off. He now had two battalions of elite light infantry, one of which he was showing off at these wargames.

The other unit where another of his inventions. Backing up the 75th light infantry was a Mechnized Infantry/Air Assualt/Air Cavlary hybrid battalion.

In the distance, he saw one of his prized light infantry squads deploy from a Blackhawk....

Sergeant Tom Smith checked the load on his G36C. Most of the Gugreauan Armed Forces carried the locally produced version of the G36 rifle. Most of his squad carried 'optioned-out' G36C carbines, with various attachments on the Pictannty rails. One member carried a semi-auto sniper rifle, and another was armed with the almost unverisally used FN Minimi light machine gun.

For this exersize, General Dresden was taking direct command of their battalion, over their Colonel. Their squads job was to scout out the foward postions of the OPFOR, and use their latest battlefield communication system to pass on the intelligence to his commander.

'Sarge!' the sniper yelled.

'Shut up, you idiot! Use SQUADCOM-that's what it's for!'

'Tangos moving through the building to the North-West!'
