Old Enemies Return (A little help please) (MT-PMT)

Brian Kane, Edward Beck, and several others were well on their way. They were on their way to avenging the deaths of their comrades who had died five years ago in the CFA's uprising. Their duties were clear, hurt the CFA as much as they possibly could. They were driving an old pick up truck towards the capital of the CFA. Their connections had managed to get them the blueprints of Fort Emmet as well as several combustion bows and even a rail gun. They few moles they had inside the fort were on leave so this window of oprotunity could not go unused. They had even managed to rented a house across the steet from the fort.

Beck mumbled to himself, "For the honor, for the glory, and for the red dawn." He turnde to Kane, who was driving, and asked, "Are you sure everyting is in place?" "I know my contacts you can trust them," he reassured his partner. "Tis not them I don't trust it is the devil within them," Beck said in response.

Within ten minutes they were at the house. Another five and they were ready to get revenge. Kane was crouched on the roof, rail gun in hand. He said into his head set, "Strike for vengence in three, two, one. Now!" He took aim at the fuel reserves and pulled the trigger. Downstairs his men heard the order and started to fire their arrows into the base. Each landed with explosives results. "Red Hand, fall back, I repeat, fall back!" The men listened and got back into their pick up and drove off.

---

Ten minutes later, Francis Crowley went on the Television and talked to the nation. "It is with great dispair I talk to you today. As you may already know, terrorists attacked Fort Emmet a few minutes ago. Early reports say that one hundred and fifty men were killed in this tragedy and another three hundred were injured. We beleive that this attack was commited by the remnants of the Red Hand of Ulster, one of our enemies from the revolution. When we find these cowards of men I personally will put a bullet in each of their heads. Good night and may God be with the families of the dead."

He then sent out this message to all world leaders:

To all world leaders,
Today the CFA of Drexel Hillsville has suffered a great loss. Old Enemies have resurfaced and have attack one of our major army bases. We ask you help in finding and killing these terrorists.

The TV in General Garand's office, like the man who owned it, never seemed to sleep. Tuned to the international news network, it kept him appraised of whatever acts of senseless violence that went on in the world that day. The main broadcast concerned a terror attack in some backwater newly-founded nation called Drexel Hillsville. To hear the liberal bastards that populated the news media tell it, revolution had overthrown the old government and the overthrown didn't seem to like it much. They'd retaliated with what the media said where exploding arrows and a railgun shot...

'That's just plain fucked up... Who uses arrows anymore? Or railguns for that matter. Barrett makes a nice big-boy rifle for long-range killing, smoothbore cannons never worked well, and that's why we don't manufacture or field them. Good-old-fashioned centerfire bullets work just as well...'

The broadcast piqued his interest, however, and he left a memo on Michelle's, his secretary, desk for her to review the next morning. Next he sent an email down to the armory for Master Sergeant Greg Torres to ready enough equipment and supplies for an extended op in hostile territory. Another email went to the office of Master Sergeant Tyrone Miller, outside the main barracks, to send him back the roster of mercenaries that were on station for deployment that year. The last in-house email went ot his second-in-command, Colonel Dekker Bray, to get prepared for an overseas deployment. Finally, he sent an email to the nation in question: Drexel Hillsville...

"Supreme Admiral Crowley,

We at the Red Dawn Private Military Corporation know that hardships of national reconstruction and insurrection, and have built our corporation with such issues in mind. The combat arm of our operation consists of the best former military and law enforcement professionals from around the globe, many from elite units such as SWAT, Special Forces, GSG-9, Navy SEALs, and Airborne Rangers. We offer platoons, companies, and entire battalions for hire. Equipped with proven weapon designs from major manufacturers and produced on-site here at corporate headquarters, each unit is expertly trained and highly expeirenced, capable in the extreme. We do not, however, hire out to both sides of a conflict. Your representation of the established government entitles you to first offer. We can discuss prices at your leisure.

Best Wishes,

General Jeffory J. Garand, USMC (Ret.)
President and CEO
Red Dawn International"

'Let's see how that goes over...'

The General clicked the 'Send' button before leaning back in his chair and taking a nip from a battered leather flask sitting on his glossy desktop...

OOC: The Revolution I mentioned was not one that took place in Drexel Hillsville. It is another thread about the history of my nation. My nation are former IRA, INLA, and PIRA type people. They were trying to free northern Ireland, they failed and were exiled. In exile they created a new nation.

The Admiral looked over the offer. He was not in need of many men but he decided that he could use some of these mercenaries to help train some new recruits as well as his secret service. He also thought that it wouldn't be a bad idea to have some extra personel on hand. He then set the following message:

To General Jeffory J. Garand,
Your offer is accepted. I hope that these men are as good as you say they are. I would also like to ask if any of your mercenaries are former terrorists because I know that many are and that they all have connections. If so please send them in the two platoons I wish to 'borrow.'

The offer had been accepted, just as Garand had thought it would. Another email went out to Miller and Torres apiece, scaling the deployment down to two platoons. The following buisness day Garand replied to the email...

"Dear Supreme Admiral,

We at Red Dawn International do not hire former extremeists, terrorists, or fugitives from justice. We do, however, contract former revolutionaries who have renounced their ties to their former outfits. Currently, we have one employee who fits that background. The individual in question is a former IRA member, trained by Russian KGB agents. For security reasons, I cannot reveal this individual's name, but rest assured that he is an extremely capable and qualified individual.

Your two requested platoons should be en route when this message reaches you. This force is being personally commanded by my second-in-command, Colonel Dekker T. Bray, a former Marine and Navy SEAL. Colonel Bray is an American, and has served in such conflicts as Grenada, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, as well as several black operations for Red Dawn International that I am not at liberty to discuss at this time.

Best Wishes,

General Jeffory J. Garand
President and CEO
Red Dawn International"

Outside, the landing strip was a bustling hive of activity, with troops scrambling to their C-130 transport planes and supplies being loaded for a new op. The headcount came to about 150 men, including support personnel. One-hundred-twenty where combat-ready assault troops, battle-hardened warriors who had done this sort of thing before. The remaining thirty comprised support personnel like communications, quartermasters, and medical specialists. As the last plane taxied down the runway, Garand retired from his office, heading for his on-base residence for some shut-eye, Dekker would handle things from there on...
