What is this?

This is not another Earth. It’s an area shaped much like the RL Earth, but of course it’s merely a region (geographically speaking) in which the continents are identical in shape and size to the ones IRL. It’s entirely connected to the NS universe, and if you sail far enough North, or South, or whatever, you’ll eventually leave the region and enter the other NS regions entering it (though I’m not creating a region gameplay-wise).

Why am I doing this?

I'm bored.

Why would you want to join?

Because you love me. Or because you want land. Or because your country is for some reason culturally similar to the place which possesses this land IRL (like Hallad).

How do you join?

Apply here, explaining who you are (links to old RP’s would be nice) WHY you want to join, what do you want. Once approved, start a thread role-playing the colonization and IC joining.

Remember: This is not so much a colony-fest as it is an RP impetus. So choose with relevance as to what your nation is like. Try not to claim stuff in Northern Europe when role-playing as a Muslim culture.

The retconning, if you will (a term which I am loath to use, since I'm generally averse to retcons), was a direct result of the ignore placed by myself on the IC nation of Allanea due to various reasons (which have already been discussed in private). This decision of mine was made after consultation with all relevant players, so it wasn't unilateral. Just to set the record straight.

Former German colonies in the Pacific. Normally I'd used to play with WW1 Germany in Europe and other nations, but these fit my nation much better.

New Guinea as a whole (Indonesian side of the island as well); Bismarck Archipelago; Nauru; The Carolines; Palau; The Marianas; (except Guam); The Marshall Islands.

Yafor 2 is a nation built on virtue, peace, and ll tha good stuff. Officially "opposed" to imperialism, that hasn't stopped them from having colonies anyway. Links to RP's in signature, though these are all fairly new. Anything else, don't hesitate to TG.

DAMNIT! I lots to you once again! meh...I guess Ill take the Carribean(yes all of it) , Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and if possible up to the Yucatan also.

EDIT- Why the hell does California and Alaska just get to claim practically all of North America? Thats HUGE! Is there not going to be any RP for this or what? because apparently someone could just say I take all of Africa and it appears you would just give it to them. If you want an Rp you might want to make the claims system stricter...

First im not a newbie, second I edited my claim to have sweden and norway.

Hi! Hrm, I am The Voltarum. I'm a member of the Woodstock Pact, and have RPed a few things along the way, though not alot as you can see by my post count ;-) If you want a link, let me know.

I play that my nation has greek/easten european roots, so I think I would like the following territory (i think none of this has been taken, and i am fillign in whats left there in europe... if its too much, let me know):

Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Albania, Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Bosnia, Croatia

I am Kroando. Currently I am RP'ing a small puppet state (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=541264), I want to join to set up some potentially interesting RP's, and I would like to have a stab at Angola and Zambia.

Question though, should we assume the land is uninhabited? Or are there natives in the area? If so, are they organized governments, in which war is needed to solidify claims, or just unorganized tribes?

Mind if I grab Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya?

OOC: Previously the land was owned by Brydog. He told me he has never bothered to do anything to it, and that I was welcome to it. He further informed me that I could freely assume that the RL polities were unaffected by his previous claims to the area. As such, I will assume basically RL-like population, plus slightly shinier technology, neighbored by Dersconi and others – for all of 12 hours. :D You're welcome to post IC reactions if you wish.

It happened overnight.

The Allanean Air Force bases in England activated at midnight exactly – but it was the Navy who would strike first.

Flights of advanced Aquila Mark I naval aircraft took off from bases belonging to the Navy in Liverpool. They flew low, below the range of German and Belgian RADAR, carrying long-range HARM missiles. Within fifteen minutes of take-off, RADAR stations to the entire length of the La Manche coast began to go out – there were more aircraft deployed than the remaining EU militaries had RADAR stations.

And then the Allanean Navy's ships hit. They did not even bother to leave harbor, really. They simply launched their various anti-ship rockets – without even detaching from their docks. Khans, Roufus missiles, Halberd missiles rained down at ranges all the way into East Germany.

Military bases burned. Power plants shut down, and Berlin, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, the Hague were all in darkness.

And now the Air Force was about to strike.

Its firepower was unrivaled, its justice swift and sure – 250 B-22 bombers, 500 Kestrel bombers, and escorts beyond number. They bombed the military bases of Western Europe – they bombed, and bombed, and bombed. They did two raids each. And so Germany alone soaked up 125,000 tons of explosives overnight.

Finally, at dawn, the paratroopers deployed – in Brussels, in Berlin, in Amsteram, the Hague, and so forth. With the militaries of the small nations destroyed, it was only a small operation to seize control of the houses of government – and to make it public that what parts of Europe were not already previously occupied by foreign powers would now be occupied by Allanea.
