"Good Evening, and I'm Natalie Zecher, bringing you the news for the Brodkast Companie de Popeleoma, on Channel 17. A mysterious fire broke out in the southwest wing of the Massive hospital complex and most of the patients have been evacuated from the area. A few are still trapped in certain subwings completly engulfed in flames and there is little doubt that much could be done. Fire crews from nearby towns of Gibson, Dolton and The Rickenbacker International Airport have had trouble trying to reach the complex due to the single bridge that connects Saro Island to the rest of the country. It turns out that the bridge had suffered a electrical shortage and there certainly was much difficulty just trying to get to the fire. Shortly after 1am, Crews managed to get the bridge lowered and the fireboats from Rickenbacker Airport have arrived and proceeded to extinguish the flames. Popeleoma Del Signe Fire crews still are having alot of trouble trying to reach courtyards where no hoses could reach nor trucks can enter. So this is..."

*massive explosion. Huge Fireball rolls into sky. Natalie Zecher throws herself into the dirt*

"Oh S***... I dont know what has just happened but there seems to have been some sort of massive explosion and it seems to have propelled invalids through windows, doors and anything thinner than a pane of glass. I see rescue crews are now proceeding to remove the injured from the blast area. The flames are larger than ever now and I doubt that the national firemen can manage on their own. Here comes Chief Superintendent of Saro Island, Mr. Robert Dopyera."

*a man in a slightly crumply suit and mussy hair appears on camera. His knees are stained with dirt and the left pant leg is ripped*

"Mr Dopyera, can you tell us what just happened in there?"
"There's been an explosion"
"We rather figured that out by now"
"Oh sorry, i'm still in a bit of shock. That wing treats mostly young children, and people with Lung Problems. Basically, there were several tanks of Pure oxygen in the basement. I'm guessing the fire got into there. Fire Crews are exhausted. Do you mind if i say a few things?"
"Be my guest"
"Thanks, Ahem... To all friendly nations, I beg of you to send help to put the fires out. National Fire Crews are exhausted after 8 hours of firefighting and Invalids are being aided by half of our orderly. So any nations willing to lend a helping hand, please do so. After the fire will be even more problems with rebuilding wings, buying new medicine and equipment and also if the fact that the hospital can remain a free service hospital is possibly at a threat. So many donations will be required. Thank You"
"Stirring words from the Superintendent Robert Dopyera. Thank you for your time sir. This is Natalie Zecher here at Saro Island International Relif Hospital with the Brodkast companie de Popeleoma Channel 17. We'll have updates on this later."

"Good morning, this is Natalie Zecher bringing you the 10 o'clock morning news. The Fire still is raging and there is no controlling the fire. All planes at Rickenbacker International have been grounded due to high chemical content in the air. Commercial Liners are stuck and Fire Planes have unfourtanately and in an untimely manner been shipped down to Sarajano for Refinishing. Current laws mandate that choppers must remain grounded until an "all clear" signal has been issued. So far, no signals have come from Troyes which is still slumbering. We've been scanning the sky for relief choppers or Water Planes, but nothing yet. We'll have an update for you later. This is Natalie Zecher with the Broadkast Companie de Popeleoma Channel 17 bring you the news when it counts."

The Salamander
Kingdom of Fourhearts
Firefighting Ship

The ten large engines of The Salamander raced towards Rickenbacker at full speeds. The large airship was very unique in the fact that it holds over 500,000 tons of water. The water could leave the airship by being dumped from it's bomb bay doors or through a series of high powered jets. The ships engines were arraged to be placed closer to the top, with five in the rear and four in the front giving the ship incredible speeds.

The crimson ship had been heading towards the site of the fire at all possible speed. The complex had lasted through the night and they appeared to be just in time.

Captain Redhammer ordered his Commo Officer to send the following message.

Attention Nation of Popeleoma Del Signe, This is The Salamander of the Kingdom of Fourhearts. We are here to assist you. Our firefighting ship will be in range shortly.

The sensors began to chime as the ship began to detect the high levels of chemicals in the air. Fans began to whir inside the bridge as it was sealed to protect the crew. Firefighters manning the hoses put on thier masks and tanks to protect them from the smoke.

The Salamander began to desend, breaking through the sunlit clouds.

Dopyera Stood on the ground. Amazed by the huge airship.

"search for it's frequency."
"Yes sir. 823.25 MHz"
"Dopyera to Airship Salamander Repeat. Dopyera to Airship Salameder."

A slight crackle came from the field radio

"Proceed with Water dump. Your assistance is greatly accepted and needed. If you need water, fill up from the Nordsee. If you require fresh water, It's about 2 minuites away from Rickenbacker Airport. Just fill up from the Havange River. Over"

"FIREMEN: OPEN ALL HOSES!", shouted Captain Redhammer as the ship came within range. The pilot turned the ships so it's boradside was facing the building and a dozen streams of pale blue water erupted from the massive airship.

Most of the firemen aimed their streams at the base of the building, allowing rescue workers to progress deeper inside the building. Three others were aiming at holes on the roof, fighting the heart of the blaze.

On the other side of the ship the water cannons were fighting the blaze in the courtyard.

*Camera Pans to Natalie Zecher. She is weary, has bags under her eyes and for once, she actually looks like her age.*

"Good morning, I'm Natalie Zecher of Broadkast Companie de Popeleoma, Channel 17. The fire is finally out today. We can see fire crews cheering and celebrating. Some have even just collapsed into ward beds and just started sleeping. But the main reason why anything managed to happen was thanks to the nation of Four Hearts. They sent their Giant Fire fighting airship and arrived here at about 0934 hours and proceeded dumping water all over the building."

*Camera Pans to the Salamander Glistening in the sun*

"It only twice had to refill it's reservoirs from the River Havange. Which is an amazing feat. Popeleoma Del Signian fixed wing fire fighters managed to get up after clearence was granted at 1032, nearly one hour after assistance arrived. As it turns out, the Troyes region had suffered a black out so not much could be done, or was known. The Following cities have suffered blackouts"

"So government officials, and citizens had no idea such a thing was happening at all. Luckily, when they did manage to get telephones running, the fire planes were immediatly dispatched. So concludes a terrible chapter in Popeleoma Del Signe's history. But the hospital will still be needing help to rebuild and restock. So I'm Natalie Zecher, Bringing you the news for the Broadkast Companie de Popeleoma Channel 17"

A letter from the 7th Minister

To all companies that build aircraft

It was found that it is in Popeleoma Del Signe's best interests to purchase a similar Firefighting airship similar to FourHeart's "Salamander". So now we are making an offer to outside nations. To build and design a fire fighting Zeppelen, to our specifications. The lucky company that recieves the contract will also have it's nation take up an embassy in the country, recieve 100 crates of the best brandy we have to offer and more possible contracts in the future.

From: Cross Airship Manufacturing
Subject: Sale of the Salamander Firefighter Airship

Greetings from the Cross Manufacting!

We are the premier design and manufacturing company for the Airship Fleets of Fourhearts. We are quite proud that our Salamander Class has been of assistance to you. Airship KFH-FF-4/4/1, The Salamander, was the first ship of it's class. It's quite effective as you been able to see for yourself.

The Salamander is powered by ten engines to give it an extra amount of speed, which is vital in an emergency. The ship is slighly less feul effient than most of our design, but when seconds count, we go for more speed. The configuration also allows the airship to dive into water sources and refill the craft within seconds. This is a vast improvment over other designs which must pump water into thier craft.

The Salamander is equipped with 24 large hoses that can spray a massive amount of water for up to 125 ft away. The tank holds a massive 500,000 gallons of water. Originally designed to fight forest fires, the airship is configuered to protect the crew against smoke and potent chemicals.

The Salamander is priced at 175,000.

Regards,

Dr. Cross

Both the Politiburo and Duma have put into consideration of the possibility of lighter-than-air fire fighting craft. The votes are being drawn in a few moments and then the Politiburo will vote. I sincerely hope that it does happen and we become recipients of a brand new craft. Fire season, as you might know, has washed over the country. Fire trucks are regularly drawing from rivers and our springs. I have just recieved word of the Duma's Votes. 135 Yes, 15 no. The politiburo already wants the craft so proceed with all haste. The tanks must be able to be serviced from the inside and corrosion free due to the fact that it's station will be near the ocean. There should be accomidations for at least 30 men since it most likely will do patrols as do other non-fixed wing craft under government control. It should have a galley, and two fresh water reservoirs for personel use. The rest is up to you to design.

The last reminance of the IMF/Red Globe remaining in ViZion, a once grand and very proud international organization bent on aiding those in need across the globe, is very sad to hear of what has happened and feels they must help out in the rebuilding on this hospital.

They are currently working to put together $2 million in payment to help in the rebuilding and resupply of this hospital. They are also organizing a fund-raiser, and 100% of the funds will be donated to the hospital.

The ViZionarian Government, too, feels it must put forth aid. It is preparing $10 million in payment. It is also willing to completely fund the restocking of all supplies in this hospital.
