The king looked out from his office window, hearing the bird singing outside in the trees as suddenly an explosion echoes from the city. The king jumps up from his chair just before the chief of the royal guard opens the doors to his office, holding a repeating plasma rifle on his other shoulder.
"My lord, we must evacuate. A group of rebels just blew up the town hall"
"What? Send someon to get my wife" the king said as he grabbed his blaster from a desk drawer and left with the chief, three more guards joining into the convoy. A shuttle landed right infront of the palace as the queen, the king and their two sons came out and headed for the palace.
Meanwhile, a group of three hovercars headed up the road towards the palace, a mounted plasma cannon shooting the iron gates off of their way as they went. The King's younger brother, Jonathan Anthonius, was sitting on the bacseat of the first hovercar and held a plasma rifle on his lap and a red armband on his left arm, just like all the rest in the convoy. As they drove to the front of the palace, the shuttle took off and the rest of the palace guard marched out to meet the rebels, opening fire as soon as they got the chance. A battle started right on the doorsteps of the royal palace of Achleonia as the socialist rebels opened fire on the palace guard.
The shuttle landed a couple of hours later on the roof of a secure base on the northern boarder. A world-wide distress call was sent out from the base, asking for a place for the king to seek refuge.

I, King Marcus Anthonius IX, am sad to inform of a rebellion that overthrew the monarchy of nine generations is threathening my life and so has forced me to come to the conclusion that I must seek refuge from abroad.
I ask of you, friends of peace and justice, to let me into your nation before the rebels find me and execue me like they have done to most of my highest officers and secretaries.
