Catching Up With Old Friends (Closed; Attn: CoreWorlds)
To: Alex Masaki, CoreWorlds
From: Tsar Alexei Alexandrovich Andropov XIV, Derscon
Subj: Meeting
Dear Alex,
I don't know if you recall, but during Andrew Masaki's and my grandfather's reign, CoreWorlds and Derscon used to be closest of allies. However, it seems that our relationship died with those great men, and I intend on changing that.
I cordially invite you to attend a meeting here at the Kremlin Palace, and hopefully we may rebuild what was lost into something stronger than once was.
Please consider my offer.
God Bless,
Tsar Alexei Alexandrovich Andropov XIV
Holy Monarch of the Divine Prussian Empire of Derscon
Sultan of the Eternal Empire
Defender of the Covanent of God
Protector of the Kingdom of Burgundy
Arch-Chancellor of the Greater Prussian Empire

From: Patriarch Alexander Masaki of Coreworlds
Re: Meeting.
I shall accept this invitation to meet with you fortwith. What once was lost, can be found again. What once was broken, can be rebuilt. Let us rebuild our lost alliance, that we may let it grow again as from a seed to a great tree.
Sincerely,
Lord Patriarch Alexander Masaki
High Master of the Jedi Council
Emperor Regent of the Imperial Republic of Coreworlds

Thank you for accepting my offer for reconstruction. You may come at any time to Derscon on Earth, but please announce your arrival to the patrols -- it would not be a good thing if any of the DISF fired on you!
Accomidations will be prepared and will be waiting for you upon your arrival.
God Bless,
Tsar Alexei Alexandrovich Andropov XIV

Within an hour of the Tsar's next message, the Patriarch ordered a shuttle to be ready posthaste and soon, the old man left Jurai, the capital of Coreworlds, and made the jump to hyperspace, a trip to take three hours.
Three hours later, a Lambda-class shuttle exited hyperspace over Earth and sent a message down to Derscon.
"This is the Patriarch Alexander Masaki, invited by Tsar Alexei Andropov to a summit. I request landing clearance."
HMS Autocracy, Above Earth Orbit
The small Battle group, centred around the relatively small, 3.14 km capital ship -- the namesake of the Autocracy-class Battlecruiser. The nation's first Coreship was still being developed on the shipyards of Nova Prussia, off in the Pegasus Galaxy. The fleet's main purpose was to guard the Stargate positioned over Derscon that connected Terra Prussia with the far away Nova Prussia.
But I digress.
Admiral Bogdal Kralovich Stanilov, current commander of this battle group, recieved the message from the Lambda shuttle, looked it over, and drank some of the strong naval coffee a steward made for him.
"Jesus, the Masakis. I remember reading about them..." He shook off the thought and beamed the message down to MGB in RAMC.
===========================================================
Ministry of State Security, Rekjyavich-Andropov Military City
Deep under the military city, the National Border Security Control Centre was alight with massive screens, monitors, and patrolling guards with XM8s. This particular part of the MGB was quite unknown, yet highly speculated, due to the paranoid security concerns of the Dersconi government.
In the Interstellar Border Sector of the room, a seargant watching the comm got the message from Admiral Stanilov and immediately brought it to the highest ranking officer present -- in this case, the MGB Minister himself.
"Minister, sir, transmission from Admiral Bogdal Kralovich Stanilov of the HMS Autocracy." Minister Yuri Golovko took the message from the young seargant and read it over. The Man of Omnipresent Wrath used the phone of the current OIC's desk, called up to the Kremlin to confirm the message, and hung up, turning back to the young MGB man.
"Seargent, give the shuttle permission to land in the space port outside RAMC."
"Yes, sir." The new NCO returned to his console and sent a message back to the Lambda, and sent a copy of it to the Autocracy.
Lambda Shuttle:
You are cleared for Port One in the RAMC Military Space Port. There will be an
escort waiting for you after you land.

Thank you.
The shuttle began descending and landed at Port One shortly after the messages were sent and recieved. Soon, the wings of the Lambda shuttle folded up upon landing and then a door opened, lowering the ramp.
Stepping down from the shuttle was an eighty-eight year old man, walking regally with a cane made from a tree from Kashyyyk. He wore a brown cape over his royal yet simple clothing and a rapier-shaped lightsaber hilt upon his belt. A young (14 or so) apprentice named James moves in step with the old Master, acting as security and learning lessons in diplomacy at the same time.

Lord Patriarch Alexander Masaki has arrived.
RAMC Government Spaceport, outside RAMC
As the shuttle landed, four Honour Guards -- alien beings in red and gold armour and staves taller than the ten foot extraterrestrials -- approached the lowering ramp. With them was Maksim Molotovich Menshevsky, the Deputy Foreign Minister (Count Franz von Papen, the actual Foreign Minister, was on vacation in Cherry Ridge).
"Welcome to Derscon, Patriarch. I hope you have a good stay. Please, follow me and we shall have you at the Kremlin in no time." Maksim led the Patriarch and his apprentice, with the accompaning guards, out through the large doors and into the main hall, where one could see many armoured-claed Praesillei Dei -- the private army of the Tsar -- standing guard. Since there were not too many diplomatic missions to Derscon from space, the most traffic they usually see are the high brass of the Dersconi Imperial Stellar Navy, and even that gets boring after awhile. So the Patriarch of CoreWorlds -- who also happens to be a Jedi Master -- was quite a sight for the genetically engineered and biologically enhanced supersoldiers.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs herded the party to a small convoy of two Chrysler 300C SRT6 (nicknamed "The Mafia Car" by Prince John, due to it's tinted windows and high door frames), and in between them, a Cadillac ESV 6 Platinum edition. All of the cars were heavily armoured, even though the probability of an attack in RAMC was zero. The Honour Guards did not come with Alexander Masaki, James, and Menshevsky, however -- they were stationed at the Space Port. The SRT6's, though, were packed with members of the Diplomatic Protection Directorate of the MGB, so there wasn't any need.
The small convoy made it's way out of the spaceport and headed into a forest, where after a few miles of trees past by, they came to the massive wall that surrounded Rekjyavich-Andropov Military City, as well as the automated turrets, which consisted of 20mm six-barreled miniguns, loaded with both High Explosive and Anti-Material rounds. In some of the towers, there were mounted antitank launchers. Down at the bottom, two Praesillei Dei officers waved the cars through, and the massive reenforced concrete doors opened, and the convoy went through the tunnel through the thirty-foot thick walls, and the massive gates -- mirroring the ones just passed -- were opened for them.
Inside the three thousand year old capital -- you wouldn't be able to tell, though, as everything was entirely modernized -- one could see the many ministry buildings, a few guard barracks, and a restaurant, and in the centre of the city lies the walled in section of the Kremlin Complex, with Andropov tower, the behemoth three thousand foot high tower, lunging out from the earth in the geographic center of Derscon.
The convoy went through the streets and into the opened gates of the Kremlin Complex, to see on the other side the old Parliamentary Palace, which -- after the Parliament was dissolved permanently by Alexei the moment he took power -- has the House of Lords chamber turned into a theatre for Heads of State to enjoy, and a dinner and a show section in the other house, for events less formal than an actual theatre preformance.
However, they drove around that and got to the Andropov Square, with the Andropov Tower in the centre, Kremlin Palace lying directly East of the tower, and Kremlin Cathedral lying directly west, and the Kremlin Gardens -- with the Fountain of Youth in the centre of it -- lying directly north.
The Convoy went to the Kremlin Palace, and through the minigates of it and into the courtyard of the Palace, where the Minister, the Patriarch and his apprentice disembarked and were met by Prince John, the brother of Tsar Alexei.
"Patriarch Masaki! Welcome to Kremlin Palace. Deputy Minister Menshevsky, I know you are a busy man, you may return to your duties." Maksim Molotovich bowed to the Prince.
"Thank you, sir. Have a good day." As the Deputy Minister was leaving, the Prince turned back to the Patriarch.
"Well, follow me, please, and I will take you to my brother." The Prince led the two CoreWorldians up the marble stairs of the Palace enterance and through the new addition of the Palace. Passing under the glass dome, where Honour Guards were positioned, they arrived at two solid -- and quite big -- gold doors, guarded by two Silver-clad Honour Guards. The two guards saluted and the doors opened, and the three noblemen walked through.
The party of thre entred into the Grande Hall of the Kremlin, which was in the shape of a perfect sphere. However, small platforms jutted out from the sides and led to oak doors in the walls, leading to various sections of the Palace. No platform could be reached from another platform, however. Instead, small computer consoles were at the end of each platform.
Prince John went up to one of these consoles and typed in a few things, and an energy platform randomly appeared beside the console. Prince John Rekjyavich motioned to the platform. "Come on, let's go."
The three nobles walked onto the platform, and it floated into the centre of the room, and went up. And up.
At the top of the room was a painted image of the Ressurection of Jesus Christ, and it covered all of the top, and at the "axis point" of the sphere at the top was the halo crowning Christ. Once the platform got close enough, the ceiling inside the halo dissipated and the platform went through, dumping the passengers into the Imperial Hall.
THe current room they were in was an elipse, and six silver-clad Honour Guards stood at even intervals around the eliptical room, with two oak doors in front of them. The Prince led the two CoreWorldians through the doors and into a very large hall, with twelve marble pillars leading up to a massive crest of the Andropov House and a clock face, with two stairways going up on either side, and a red carpet down the middle of the hall and diverging to go up the stairway. The Silver-clad Honour Guards stood in between each pillar, and then two were on each side of the crest and the clock face.
John led them up the left one (not that it mattered), and the party entred the Upper Hall. There was a small oak door off to the side, but the hall continued to double gold doors guarded by two of the Praetorian Guardsmen -- the twenty best soliders in Derscon, and arguably the entire Greater Prussian Empire.
The two Gold doors were opened, and they entred the secretary's office. THe secretary smiled at the PRince and waved him on. The floor-to-ceiling painting of Ivan the Great moved aside, exposing a small passageway that the three nobles walked through. When they all were in the room, the painting moved back, exposing the five inch thick titanium alloy door that it was mounted to. The room at this point was fairly dark. "We're pretty much there," the Prince said to reassure the group. At this point, most people got quite annoyed by the constant security measures and long hallways in the intricacies of the Palace.
Suddenly, part of the ceiling of the room started to come down, and a ramp to the upper floor was formed, as light shone in the faces of the three men. The Prince led them up this ramp, and at the top, they saw the floor-to-ceiling windows that looked down upon the Kremlin Squrare. It was obvious they were pretty high above the ground.
"Alexander Masaki! You made it!" The party turned around to see Tsar Alexei Alexandrovich Andropov XIV standing there in his black and white semi-formal royal attire. It was a black cape with a white expanding stripe down the middle, a white shirt with black designs down the sleeves, and black pants with white designs mimiking the sleeves, but in opposite colours. The buttons on his shirt, as well as the epaulets, were gold, and there was gold knots that Admirals often wore on his shirt for decoration. Black shoes complimented the outfit, which was designed specifically to make people give it a second glance.
"PLease, sit down," Alexei said, motioning to a couch. Alexei moved to the couch opposite it, but did not sit down, as it is rude for a host to sit before his guest. "Can I get you anything to drink?"
CoreWorlds

"If you have any good rice tea, I'll be grateful." Alex smiled. He's developed quite a taste for the traditional Oriental Earth drink and rarely gives up an opportunity to drink it. The young apprentice James just asked for water.
"Rice tea and a water, then." Alexei just stared in between the two CoreWorldians as he spoke. "And I'll have a Napoleon Reserve. Please get it for us, if you will." At that time, a cloaked and masked figure materialized with a tray of a glass of the five million dollar per bottle wine -- the Napoleon Reserve -- a teacup of Rice tea, and a glass of water, which floated to the three men without so much of a ripple in the liquid.
"So," Alexei said, after the figure dissipated. "How do you like the brief glimpse of Derscon you recieved?"
CoreWorlds

"Very exquisite." Alex commented. "And unique." He sipped his tea.
Alexei smirked at Alex's last comment. "Unique, yes. That's what everyone says. Then again, there really are no words to describe the sheer insanity of Dersconi architects." He smiled as he took a sip of the wine in his hand. He let go of the glass over the couch, but it simply floated there, not making a single motion. Let's see what he does, Alexei thought. My telekinetics and my wonderful four cloaked, masked friends' Force sensitivity. Always manages to freak someone out. Alexander is disciplined, though.
"So, us Dersconis are always hungry, so would you like anything to eat? We have nearly anything you can possibly imagine."
CoreWorlds
31-12-2005, 06:45
"No, that will be fine." Alex said, leaning back. His cup of tea floated in the air as he smiled a little. "So let us to business. I understand you wish to reenact an old alliance, one that hasn't been around since my son's rule."
Excellent, Masaki has a sense of humour, Alexei thought, seeing his faint smile as Alex's teacup floated. We may get somewhere with this.
Alexei nodded at the Patriarch's comment. "That is correct. Derscon and CoreWorlds have done great things for each other, and then suddenly we lost contact with all of our interstellar fleets and colonies, and all of the technology to enter space was destroyed, hence we lost contact with you.
"However, now that the Eternal Empire has reentered space, I feel it is time to reconnect our old interstellar alliances -- especially with you."
CoreWorlds

"I see." Alex nodded. "We can begin by offering a mutual defense pact and a trade agreement bywhich our nations can set up shops with which to distribute customer goods. Would that be acceptable for the start?"
"One thing at a time, Alexander. We eventually have to write this down, it helps if it's organized."
"Now," Alexei continued, after taking a sip of his wine. "Trade agreements; I believe we can start with that.
"Obviously, free trade here is a necessity -- the removal of all tarrifs on goods imported from both of our nations. Now, you said something about specific businesses?"
CoreWorlds
02-01-2006, 03:41
"Well, I'm currently unsure about what you currently produce which would be of interest in a trade agreement, so I figured we would start with consumer goods and service." Alex explained.
Alexei nodded in agreement. "And I'm not entirely sure what you produce. However, consumer goods are always good, especially resturaunts -- us Dersconis love our food." He smiled as he swirled his glass around. "So something like this will be a good idea.
"Now, about actual trade.
"You probably don't need a lot of the things we produce, and we probably need most of the things you produce, seeing as you are much more advanced technologically than Derscon currently is. So, I'll admit, here, it will probably be a bit off-balanced, unless there is something you need imported that I can supply. Typically, nations need oil, of which we have a lot of."
CoreWorlds
02-01-2006, 04:14
"Yes. It's still useful in the production of plastics and as lubricants for our numerous droids." Alex nodded. "While we do have our own deposits, it doesn't hurt to have another source, does it not?" An eye twinkled.
"Indeed, it never does. Well, I suppose it's nice to know I have somewhere to get rid of this oil. It's getting to the point that at current production rates and prices, our companies are losing money because of the exessive supply." He shrugged and emptied the remains of the glass, then tossing it to the ground. It shattered, and then dissipated, leaving not a trace of it ever existing.
"Is there anything else that you need to import? Maybe we have it, but to be honest, we might not."
CoreWorlds
02-01-2006, 06:21
"Hmm. I don't believe so at the moment." Alex said, drinking the last bits of tea. The cup disappeared in a small cloud of dust. "Now the question comes to you. What do you, as a nation, need?"
"As far as products go, we need nothing -- due to our sheer vastness and the Dersconi Empire in some shape or form encompassing nearly all imaginable climate zones and mineral zones, we are a completely self-sufficient nation.
"However, there is one thing we most definitely could use that you possess -- technology. You are, technologically, clearly more advanced than we are, due to your longer time in the stellar regions than the Eternal Empire. That, surely, you can help us with, no?"
