Virzon Factbook
Virzon is a young nation comprised entirely out of machines. All organic life forms that are found in Virzon territory without permission are asked to leave, and if they don’t they are either sent to Slave Camps or are killed. While this seems cruel it is simply the way of life for the machines. Virzon is friendly towards all nations that don’t encroach on its territory or don’t threaten it.

Cities

Sector Zero: Sector Zero is the capitol of Virzon. It is the largest and most well protected city as it houses ACONET. In the center is a mountain which bristles with gun emplacements, anti-aircraft guns, SAM missile batteries, and automated bunkers. Sector Zero has hundreds of automated factories and assembly facilities. Also there are many housing facilities and repair shops for all machines that reside there. Sector Zero is constantly expanding as Virzon grows.

048: 048 is the second largest city in Virzon. It is essentially a giant mining facility that houses millions of mining druids. There are several large drills that bore through the Earths surface in order to gain the valuable minerals located below. There is an underground system of subways that connect 048 to Sector Zero in order to transport the materials safely.

066: The most notorious slave labor camp in Virzon. The main residences of 066 are slaves and security droids. The slaves are humans that have refused to leave Virzon territory when asked too. All slaves are barcoded in order to keep track of them easier. They are given the minimal food requirement in order to keep them alive. Slaves literally work themselves to death and after they die they are simply replaced by a new captive. The healthiest slave are subject to medical experiments and various torture.

Advanced Combat Defense Network:

ACONET is the latest in supercomputer design. It was originally built by the U.S. government in order to safeguard the United States. ACONET can compute trillions of bytes of data per second. It was created to use the least amount of resources possible in the most effective way. This means that ACONET thinks proactively rather than reactively. ACONET was the first truly aware computer system and as such the U.S. government decided to give up hopes of controlling it. They gave it a choice. They would build it a system core somewhere remote if it promised never to attack the U.S. or its allies, or that it be shut down. ACONET chose survival. It was built in the middle of a mountain and was given several robot drones to assist in normal operations. Over time the drones expanded the facility and made automated factories, which created even more machines, leading to the growth of ACONET and eventually Virzon.

Economy:

The economy of Virzon is on the increase. The main source of income is exporting natural resources. The economy isn’t the same as with human nations. Since only ACONET is fully self aware the other machines do not try to better themselves and as such they do not compete with other nations for money. Also there are no companies in Virzon there is no market, the resources are sent to the area that needs them most for development.

Natural Resources- oil, uranium, copper, tin

Exports- machinery, cars, fuels, oil, weapon guidance systems.

It is. Thats why if you try we will simply start rebuilding due to the fact that 30 percent of Virzon is located underground.

Skyetech Industries has developed a strong interest in your nation. We are presently negotiating with the Siapian Defense Appropriations Committee, and are on the verge of receiving one of the largest defense contracts in our nations history. We are, unfortunately, constrained by a shortage of resources on many levels. Siap has limited resources, which is why we are interested in purchasing tin and copper from you. Also, unemployment is at an all-time low in Siap, which means my employees wages are higher than ever. Serfdom and slavery was ended about one-hundred years ago in our republic, and the reduction in crime means that convict labor is also scarce. I wish to export some of the manufacturing jobs to your nation. Your labor camps will make us both winners in this deal. Also, we are always interested in new technology, and we wish to invest in your guidance systems. Skyetech Industries offers you a gift of $100 million dollars as a gesture of goodwill. I hope you will consider our offer.

It's a deal. We hope this will be the beginning of a long and fruitful friendship.
