Just wanted to provide some background as to where this RP is coming from, since it has been awhile since this was posted.

This section outlines Wingert recovering after the death fight with Putin.
<QUOTE>After the combat, Wingert lay in his bedchamber in Kiev, drifting in and out of consciousness, the pain from his many wounds making him black out time and again. His closest advisors, Regents, High levels of the nobility, Boyars of great influence and his family gathered around him. The Person in control of the Estenlandian military after Wingert was his daughter, Adrienna. But his heir was his grandson, first son of Queen Jillesepone and Louis Augustus, King and Queen of France; Peter, twin brother to Catherine. It looked very much as though there would be a power struggle, as Adrienna attempted to rule as Regent until Peter gained the age of majority. And, it would have been doubtful that Russia would bend to the will of her, rather than Wingert.

Wingert’s fevered mind dreamed the hellish nightmares of a man who could not be stopped. The little man in black slashing at him, cutting him deeply, his royal blood gushing onto the white snow, so stark a contrast. So cold. The Russian winds had cooled the blade so much that it hissed slightly when the hot Tsarist blood touched it. Wingert had never felt so old. So weak, death had never been so near, he could hear Death’s mocking laughter. But in the end, he realised that death was not waiting for him. It was here for the scrappy peasant. And he would be the right hand of God, delivering this “champion of freedom” to Hell!

But now he lay dying. It is at this moment when he very much wanted his favourite daughter near him, Jillesepone, the beautiful one, looking every bit like her mother, the Tsarina. The faces that stood by his deathbed were not ones of comfort, but they were howling and snarling hyenas, scavengers, barely being restrained from picking his carcass clean. They wanted that which flowed from him; power…the power that came from Divine Right. No.

NO! He would not yield what he had worked all his life for! It was he, the Tsar, that had moulded and lead the rag-tag band of guerrillas into an army capable of defeating a superpower! It was he who built one of the most impressive military machines on the planet with a chronic shortage of money and surrounded by the Soviets at one time, then with idiot democracy afterwards. It was he who had fought in the front lines of every conflict to earn his empire. It was he who finally moved against the troublesome barbarians in Lavrageria; even they could not stand to the might of the Tsar! It was he who helped to found the Holy League! It was he who carved a vassal state out of a piece of Mother Russia and claimed St. Petersburg as his own. It was he who fought to claim his birthright as “Tsar of All The Russias!” The hyenas would have to wait for their feast.

His massive frame stirred, and his eyes fluttered open. The Boyars and nobles gathered close to hear what might be the last words of the Great Tsar. And his massive hand thrust out from the rich blankets, wrapping around the throat of the Boyar that got too close. His eyes bugged out, but no one helped him, stepping back in horror, hoping that they were not next. His throat gave a sickening pop as it crushed under the strength of this monster, and as the life left him, the strength left Wingert, and the Boyar dropped lifeless to the ground. Wingert then spoke, “Get away from me you hyenas, you shall not feast on Grozney tonight! Long live Tsar Wingert Grozney…………….the Great!”

And he heard the echoing call answer him as he slipped back into sleep, knowing that he would awake to rule, “Long live Tsar Wingert the Great! Long live Tsar Wingert the Great! Long live Tsar Wingert the Great!”<QUOTE>

This outlines some of the political movements in and around the Russian empire.
<QUOTE>In Russia itself, there was an election going on, and people were marching to the polls in vast numbers. Putin had been reported KIA and a new Tsarist Party were running a candidate for President. Armand (I forget his last name) was running on a platform that promised the economic prosperity and international power and prestige that was the people’s Divine Right. He promised to place a Tsar as head of state and run the government as his Prime Minister. He promised regular elections would still continue, but Russia would gain from the strength of the Tsar the respect and stability that it needed. The Divine Russian Empire of Putin’s dream was coming true, but it was in a way that he had never expected. Technically, Tsar Wingert already controlled the government military and was taking major steps to make sure that this did not change.

Tsar Wingert thought about his empire, he had started life as a political tool of a small terrorist group. He had, by his own strength of will, wrested the nation of Ukraine from the Soviet’s grip. He had built his strength for decades after that, and on almost a whim, had decided that he would throw his strength around towards their troublesome northern neighbours, Lavrageria. This was after the marriage with the Dauphin of France had been settled and France lent supplies and support to the tune of 40+ billion USQ dollars to the effort against Lavrageria, and though the Lavragerians fought like no other enemy Wingert had ever seen, they fell. The nation was divided in Washington and Tsar Wingert became a successful conqueror in Europe, not a small task. During that war, the Romanov pretender had wrested a small slice of Russia for himself and became a vassal of Wingert. Then, he had entered into an alliance with Putin and invaded the Baltic states, which now rested in his control, as well as annexing Moravia. Then Putin had died, and now he was in control of Russia and Putin’s conquest, Kazakhstan. The Tsar now sat at the head of one of the world’s superpowers. More than he could have ever dreamed of. His lands bordered three oceans and stretched from Central Europe to China to the Middle East. He ruled the largest expanse of land on earth.

Now, businesses and media outlets were brought under control, conquered nations were being restructured and purged of resistance, and the Tsarist Party was winning a landslide victory. Wingert had insisted, against all advice, to allow the Russian people to choose. And they were choosing, by the most democratic means available, to ask a cruel tyrant to be their leader.

Tsar Wingert lay in his home in Kiev recovering from his momentous battle with Putin, and was moving troops on a map with the ease as some play with toys. He moved Morgan’s troops to staging areas in Lavrageria, right on train lines that could bring them to the Moravian border, or to Siberia at a moment’s notice. He knew that these robust warriors would be his first line of defence should Aidirov try anything, or should great China move against him. He was consolidating economic power, one thing he understood with great efficiency was the golden rule, “He who has the gold, makes the rules.” His nation was entering into political trade talks with United Elias, and was embarking on a trade deal that would see them supplying the entire Tsarist military machine in the foreseeable future. He had also answered his constant problem as Tsar of Ukraine, where do we get enough oil? Now it flowed from Siberia.

With this all happening, he left the Republican Lavrageria blockade to the Regent, Sir Reginald, and he had placed almost half of his troops around the encircled nation, Since he now commanded almost three quarters of the Tsarist forces, not including the new Russian troops, that was nothing small. He was, however, not technically at the head of the forces in the Baltics, as Adrienna was commanding that force personally. The current plan was to encircle them and wait for them to make the first move, as the person laying the siege, time was definitely on his side, and he was in no hurry to start another major war with the Lavragerians, especially with the promises by NATO that they would come back to stop him.

As for the new country, what was that ridiculous name? Yugoslavia? The Tsar’s government refused to recognise it and posted official grievances with Hindustan and The British Federation and Roycelandia and Quinntonia that Aidoriv had made off with the aid money.

And he asked to have himself furthermore referred to as, Tsar Wingert the Great. <QUOTE>

All through Russia voters turned out in droves to vote, and they were passionate about it, in the highest voter turnout since the fabrications of the Soviets, over 80% of the population of the Divine Russian Empire turned out to vote. There were some defeats, the Baltic states voted by a 65% margin to throw off Tsarist rule and return to independence, but when the final numbers returned from throughout the Empire, the Tsarist party easily stood as the victors, commanding 85% of the popular vote, even in places like Kazakhstan, a surprise. Armand was sworn in as Prime Minister, and with lightning efficiency moved to have three referendums, riding on the strength of their first victory,
1) To have the Tsar placed as the Divine Russian Empires head of State.
2) To enter into a cooperative economic and military alliance with the other Tsarist states.
3) To have the Tsarist Code accepted as law in the Empire, which would include conscription and calls for a massive military build-up. This one only passed with 60% majority, but it was still enough. The new sitting government could move, and move swiftly.
Armand was sworn in as President, in the same fashion as the beloved Vladimir Putin, and then, after that ceremony, on national television turned and did vassal homage and fealty to the towering Tsar.

He then announced in his first Presidential address that the government would be immediately implementing some governmental changes. First, the Congress had voted that morning to disband itself, along with the other Representative elected bodies, and Armand proclaimed himself First Minister to the Tsar, changing his title from President. He would also get the Royal title as Regent in Absentia of The Divine Russian Empire, answerable to God, and the Tsar. Theoretically he would rule royally on the behalf of Tsar Wingert. It was widely understood that he would be clearly deferential to Wingert’s divine will, though. Then, he announced that a new election would be called and a new Duma, or Parliament would be formed, with an Upper and Lower House, and noble would be allowed to be elected, by the common people on a five year term to the Upper House, and the common people could run and be elected to the Lower House. The Duma would control the government of The Divine Russian Empire, but would be deferential to the sitting First Minister and to their Tsar. They would be an advisory body with legislative and certain executive powers, though Foreign Affairs and the Military would be the strict purview of the Tsarist Court.

He then announced that Tsar Wingert the Great would be crowned Tsar of all the Russias very soon, and that international dignitaries would be invited to attend, including the Pope and all Patriarchs.

All over the nation, the Kargat and the KGB were hard at work securing the nation for their master, the Tsar. It was a complicated process, but they went to it with gusto and determination and nearly robot like precision and efficiency.

OOC-I will be posting some developments over the next day or so, and then I will be posting an introduction to the coronation ceremony, with Nova Gaul helping me with that one. It should be grand.

Maybe even Putin's funeral in here...Keep the ceremonial and the meat-and-potatoes seperate, if you know what I mean. Oh, and how are we going to integrate the Ukrainian and Russian militaries? OOC: General Mubarrak doesn't have a drop of noble blood in him (although I'm sure he could fake some genealogy record and make himself out to be related to some ancient Nok king ;) ) but he is Regent of Nigeria. (Or will be) So would it be disrespectful for him to come, or to not come? (By the way, Armand Domalewski is of noble birth <Mixed heritage of Russian/Polish nobility> just in case future issues arise.)

The already election weary Russian populace was going through the third major set of votes in as many months. First, eth Presidential election, in which President Armand had become First Minister to the Tsar and Regent in Absentia of The Divine Russian Empire. Then the three back-to-back referendums that saw the Tsarist will be backed by popular demand, now they were electing a Great Duma. This was a complicated process, with both the upper and lower house running at the same time, and political parties arrayed against each other. The Tsarist Party was definitely in the lead, to almost an absurd degree in the Upper House, seeing as only nobility could run in the first place, it was only a few radicals who ran promising to abdicate their titles if elected to a majority, and closing the Upper House. And they would be taken care of by the Kargat after the election. The nobles were assigned ridings based on region, not population and would serve the purpose of representing regional concerns as well as the concerns of the nobility. Tsarist citizens had a vote, even though most could not run for the Upper House, and they were using them, hoping that this was the last that they had to do to put the government into its stable orbit for five years, which was the term of the Duma.

The election for the Lower House was much more interesting, seeing as it allowed Putin’s old followers, those that still survived or hadn’t fled, to run for political office. They were well on their way to gaining many ridings, and Wingert had tied the hands of the KGB and the Kargat, not allowing them to interfere with the election, though they were busy making lists of prominent democrats that were to be removed later. This House of the Great Duma was also built upon the idea of Representation by Population, and thus the Western portions of the Empire definitely had a far more powerful presence in it.

OOC-I should take a moment to describe how all of this works. The Tsarist political system is very complicated, so hang on.
Each individual nation, be it Estonia or Moldova or Nigeria, is an independent nation-state, with their own laws and customs, all of which are respected to some degree, at least where they do not conflict with the Tsarist Code. Each has its own ruler, or Regency, that acts as its “local Tsar” if you will. They are as follows:
Ukraine-King Wingert Groznyy
Tsarist Lavrageria-Queen Catherine Groznyy (Age 5-Grandaughter of Wingert-Daughter of Louis Auguste and Jillesepone-King and Queen of France) Regent is Sir Reginald of Hillfort
Moldova-Grand Duke Peter Groznyy (Age 5-Grandson of Wingert-Daughter of Louis Auguste and Jillesepone-King and Queen of France-Heir to the Tsar) Regent- Lord Piotre Woljetski
Kazakhstan- King Igoriij Romanov- Last Romanov and his Royal Line is the theoretical next closest to the throne after the Groznyy line. Regent- Boyar Dimitre Sampsonov.
The Baltic States-Currently under military rule of the Divine Russia Empire and thus, ruled by Princess Adrienna
Nigeria-Queen Adrienna-(Second Daughter of the Tsar from his second marriage)-Regent- General Mubarrak-(Recently knighted by Princess Adrienna)
Russia-Tsar Wingert Groznyy- Regent- Armand Domalewski, First Minister to the Tsar

Under each of these Regents, sits a Duma, like the one that is being elected in Russia, set up the same way, with the exception of the Baltics, who are still under military rule, but will soon have their own Regency, and Duma.

The Duma acts as an advisor to the Regent, and controls the government in all matters except Foreign Affairs and the Military.

Now, when a GREATER DUMA is called, that is the Tsar calling for a court of his whole Empire, and every Duma and every Regent is asked to attend, and it is technically the GREATER DUMA that acts as the advisory and governing body for the Tsar. See?

IC- The election came to a close, with the Tsarist Party holding all but two seats in the 360 seat Upper House, and the Lower House having the Tsarist Party win a majority victory, sending 623 members to the 760 member House, with the Democratic Party of Putin being sworn as the Official Opposition, with 94 seats! The remaining 43 seats were fairly evenly split amongst Moderate Socialists and Christian Theocrats and Hard-line Communists. The First movement of the Lower House was to accept all the results of the Referendums and the proclamations of the First Minister to the Tsar, and ask that Tsar Wingert be crowned as soon as was convenient. This was, of course passed easily in the Upper House.

Mumbai wastes no time in condemning every facet of the Tsarist authority and many Parliamentarians express their disgust with the people of Russia in quite strong terms for allowing such a ruler to come to power.

The Baltic States, Moldova, Lavrageria, Nigeria and Kazakhstan are all called upon to rise up and overthrow the instruments of oppression etc., and plans are already being worked out as to how such things should be done.

Nigeria is of special interest, since it is widely believed that Nigerians will not accept a colonial authority, especially that of an authoritarian and absolutist state like Tsarist Russia...

(OCC: The very face of half-hearted...well, I don't know if Hindustan has much more to do than insult Russians and promise to supply any rebel movement that stands up against Wingert. Bloody hell, the whole earth's gone to the dogs!)

It was the lot of the life of the Tsar that one must make difficult decisions. He had to choose where to be crowned. The City of the Tsars was St. Petersburg, the city built by the Romonav Peter the Great and had glorious palaces all through the city, as well as where the Cathedral honouring Vladimir Putin as a Saint was being constructed. But Wingert was no Romonav pretender he was a Groznyy. Ivan was the last of his line, and his Dynastic name, Groznyy was translated as “awesome, or terrible.” Yes, Wingert was the direct descendant of Ivan the Terrible, who built Moscow into the capital of an Empire and founded the Russia that is known today. He also built the famous St. Basil’s Cathedral, seat of Russian Orthodoxy. Moscow was also where Ivan had built the Kremlin, though that place now had the stink of Communism on it. But, for the first Groznyy to be crowned in four centuries, and the first Tsar to be crowned since before The Great War, when Nicholas II was murdered by that peasant Lenin; I had to be in Moscow, it was only fitting. First Minister Armand was to be there, and the Dumas of all the Tsarist nations, all the Tsarist nobles, all the Royals and Regents, as well as dignitaries from every nation were going to be in Moscow, watching the Crown, Sword and Sceptre of Rulership be presented to Wingert and placed upon his mighty brow. He had flown into Moscow and the Kremlin had been prepared for him, serving as his Royal Palace until more significant renovations could be carried out. The Kremlin would serve as his personal palace again, but after the coronation and the inevitable debauchery that would reign in Moscow afterwards, he would retire to the Summer Palace in St. Petersburg to enjoy his new title as “Tsar of all the Russias.”

Cast of Characters-
Tsar Wingert, King of Ukraine, Tsar of the Divine Russian Empire, Tsar of all the Russias, Hero of the Revolution, Toppler of Soviet Power, and so on.
You know him, seven feet tall, 350 lbs., a great grey beard hanging over his barrel chest, a massive, 75 pound sword strapped across his back, with a suit of gold-plated plate mail on and a huge red robe over his shoulders, hanging to the floor.

Princess Adrienna-Queen of Nigeria-His second daughter by his second wife, kind of a tom-boy, and an very able commander, currently Commander in Chief of the Tsarist Armed Forces. 5’10” and quite broad in the shoulders, she has been trained in many forms of hand fighting and martial arts, and is a very deadly opponent, belying her gentle blue eyes and brown hair.

Sir Reginald of Hillfort-Regent of Tsarist Lavrageria-A British Lord that became enamoured with Wingert during the revolution and was serving as a commander of the armed forces before Adrienna-6’2” tall and about 200 lbs., he usually can be seen wearing a long sword at his side and a suit of shining chain mail, complete with heavy gauntlets and a tunic bearing the crest of the Tsar, along with a red robe mimicking that of Wingert. Also bears a scar o the right side of his face, reminder of the time when he went knife to knife with a Soviet Commando.

Armand Domalewski- First Minister to the Tsar, elected Regent in Absentia of Russia, standing about 6 foot, weighing maybe 165 lbs., this thin man has longer than shoulder length black hair, and often wears flowing and supple red robes, but for state occasions can be seen wearing traditional Estenlandian breastplate and bracers, with a long-sword belted to his side.

Count Falkenstien-Ambassador to Versailles-A short man among the blooded Estenlandian nobility, standing only 5’10” but weighing in at a burley 250lbs., this overly muscled man is often seen clad completely in black, with shining silver breastplate and bracers over his massive fore-arms, and bearing a Katana on his back, a left-over from his time in the East as a youth. He is completely bald, having shaven what was left when the rest started to fall out, and has an ugly scar on the left side of his face that is complimented by an eye patch, reminder of what a Soviet grenade can do. Very intelligent and well-educated, can speak 10 languages, including Latin, French, Ukrainian, Russian, Greek, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean and English. Is known far and wide for his voracious appetite for young girls, and has been the scorn of many a French noble father when chasing their daughters, usually with great success, two or three at a time.

Yvonne Krugeski-Small, Ukrainian and weaselly, a commoner through and through, though he claimed to have noble blood somewhere, no one believed him. He lived at the whim of the Tsar, and he knew it, and was as fanatically loyal as he was evil. Head of the Tsar’s personal Secret Police, the Kargat, with the blood of thousands on his hands.

Bishop Bahamut Chenevsky-Father Confessor for Wingert and Bishop of the Ukrainian area of Odessa. A loyal Ukrainian, he is often the voice for moderation and compassion in the Tsar’s Court. A true believer that thinks that he can do more good moderating the Tsar’s moods than he can serving his Bishopric full-time. A man that was old when Wingert was young, no one really knows how old he is, but is surprisingly spry for a man that must be at least in his 90’s. He is, however, missing an arm, and claims that he lost it as a child, fighting, “Bolsheviks.”

Queen Catherine Bourbon-Groznyy-Granddaughter of the Tsar, first daughter of Jillesepone and Louis-Augusta, two minutes younger sibling of Grand Duke Peter, Heir to the Tsar, and barely aware of it, at age five. Also Queen of Tsarist Lavrageria, and can point to it on a map all on her own now. The spitting image of her mother, with beautiful green eyes and long blonde curls, she can already speak Ukrainian, Russian and French, and is picking up Latin well, her IQ is reported to be off the charts. Destined to be an important person in Tsarist and HL politics, by virtue of an amazing birth brought about by an advantageous marriage, the one that founded the Holy League.

Grand Duke Peter Bourbon-Groznyy-Grandson to the Tsar and Heir to all the Russia. At age five he is already standing at 3’7”, obviously growing into his Grandfather’s shoes, literally. He is dark of eye and hair, and glowers most of the time. If he were in a normal family, one might be brave enough to say that he is more than a little troubled, and has recently taken to torturing kittens to death and making his servants clean them up. Also not very interested in his studies, but is picking up swordplay and hand fighting like a natural.

Igoriij Romonav- King of Kazakhstan- ex-King of Tsarist Russia managed to wrest control of a small Western portion of Russia from Putin and detonated two nuclear weapons (luckily, small ones) in the process. Thin, with whispy hair and constantly fidgeting and sweating profusely, he is the last of the Romonav line. He has been given the Kingship of Kazakhstan and allowed to live under house arrest under the condition that he abdicates all claims to the Russian throne, though his heirs will be the second closest family to the throne. Recognising this, he has been ordered by Wingert to produce heirs, as soon as possible, and suitable wives are being found for him. He is quite possibly mad.

Lord Piotre Woljetski- Regent of Moldova- he is a very old Polish nobleman and tactician that served as Chief Quartermaster during the revolution. He is a distinguished gentleman, find of wearing chain shits with epaulets and many medals on a bright red sash, and bearing a sabre at his side at all times. His organisational abilities were legendary during the revolution and his systems have been implemented throughout the Tsarist regime. He was also placed as Commander of the Reservist Forces during the Lavragerian Conflicts, though he is more accountant than General. His posting to Moldova is largely seen as a retirement gift for loyal services to the Crown.

Jillesepone-Groznyy-Bourbon-Queen of France, eldest daughter of the Tsar-Stunningly beautiful and commander of Tsarist Armies during her time before her marriage, she is green of eye, tall, and blonde of hair. Almost painfully beautiful, she easily won the heart of her betrothed, Louis-Augusta, and became Dauphiness to his Dauphin. During the Lavragerian Conflict, was commanding officer to her Princely Husband, and once came near to having to discipline him. Has bore him other children to serve as his heirs since the twins, and somehow looks even better now than before. The favourite child of Wingert and only person able since her mother, the Tsarina, who was able to render him putty with a carefully pouted lip. Has become a very valuable member of the French Court since, and is completely in love with her husband.

Louis-AugustaBourbon-King of France-perhaps the most well-respected Frenchman in the Tsarist Court, as he proved himself very capable of offering combat when needed and commanding ably in the Lavragerian Conflict, where his Dauphin’s Division struck the death-blow to the Lavragerian armies, handing Wingert the victory, such as it was.

Dimitre Sampsonov-Old Boyar and Chief Chamberlain and Prime Minister of the Duma for Ukraine-Old guard, a true Ukrainian noble standing 6’7” and weighing in at 260lbs., wears a smaller version of the plate mail suit of Wingert, except his is made to look silver to Wingert’s gold. Often called the “little Tsar” and hates Yvonne and his Kargat terribly, just as Yvonne is suspicious of anyone trying to usurp the title of Tsar, even in jest. Just made Regent of Kazakhstan, though he is planning to retain his old, more influential position and appoint his son to rule that place in his stead.

General Mubarrak-The newly knighted Regent of Nigeria, who will be ruling in the stead of Queen Adrienna. An unknown element in this whole situation.

Lord Mikal Tord-A distant relation to the exiled Tordish Dynasty, and representing the Tordish nobles in exile that have been granted so much land in Lavrageria and now Kazakhstan.

This is the cast of characters. Have fun.

The invitation issued to the Imperial Household is met with a certain satisfaction on the part of Emperor Shinseiki; the invitation shows that the Japanese monarchy is viewed as an important establishment by the new Russian regime. The Imperial Household replies to the invitation, stating that Emperor Shinseiki will be delighted to join his fellow monarch for the coronation ceremony.

Emperor Shinseiki will be escorted by Tian Yao (if they get drunk, debauchery will take on a new meaning), General Yoshida Kichisaburo (anyone remember Kichi? Now head of the Imperial Guards), and a handful of Imperial Guardsmen.

With diplomatic staff tied up in meetings with Quintonnia and Hindustan, Emperor Jonathan Zhang decides to attend himself. Whilst protocol officers in Buckingham Palace make preparations for Her Majesty the Queen to attend the coronation, civil servants in the Foreign Office express some reservations over endorsing the new Russian regime. However, given the House of Hannover's blood links with the previous Romanov dynasty, it is obvious that a represenative of the British Crown will indeed be dispatched, but whether it is the soverieign or a lesser royal still awaits the outcome of political discussions and will most certainly require the consent of the Prime Minister.

Isaiah 35:3-4

Moscow

Vasili Iprenka was dying in his Moscow apartment.

He knew it, his family was about him. He was dying, the oldest man in Russia…kept alive in these last moments by tubes and machines modernity introduced to Russia “to raise the national level of health.” He who was born in 1908, he who had seen with his own eyes: the fall of the Tsars, the rise of Lenin, the terror of Stalin, the martyring of Christians to atheistic Communism, the fury of the demonic Nazi’s and their Satanic master as they sought to exterminate the very entity of Russia. He had seen the missile crisis, and the eventual collapse of the USSR.

Soup was given to him by a crying niece, he slapped it away, turning his eyes to the ceiling. Those retinas grew and shank, Vasili was trying to look past this world. Though an old man he had witnessed the rise of Putin, and the thought for a moment that Russia would sell out to McDemocracy, that the ballads and songs of her hallowed struggles would be replaced by the insipid crooning of some Hollywood drug attic. Now he saw with those eyes that had touched a century, he saw the return of the Tsars, and the crucifix wiping aside the mortal sin that was progressive thought.

He heard it, the beating in the streets that came through the walls of his very apartment. The chanting, the drums, the trumpets; the very harmony of complete and absolute victory, unabashed.

It was enough to make him believe in God again.

His family fell back, amazed. With the power of some hidden vigor Vasili ripped the cords from his body. The machine at his bedside coughed weakly, internal fires signaling it had imploded on its own false parts. He was proud again, handsome and fair. With steps of power he took up his crucifix, removed it from the shawl which obscured it, and carried it aloft to the apartment’s balcony. With a voice that was young again, he raised the cross to heaven. His voice became one with masses, and he beheld a golden chariot moving along the avenue, and in the chariot was not a lieutenant of God. It was Gods sword on the face of the earth, the benevolence of Jesus and the strength of Michael Militant and the million Seraphim that rode now to fuel the dawn.

“God Save the Tsar!” his voice boomed, then his body expended gave out on him. He was dead before he fell to the balcony floor.

Yet as he fell, with his last spark of life, those tired lips touch the Saviors foot at the bottom of the crucifix. Then the cross tumbled from his hand, where it was caught by a toddler girl below on the street.

“What’s this,” the little girl asked her father, who held her tight.

“That,” he said, kissing his daughter gently upon the brow “is the proof that once more Heaven moves again upon earth. My daughter, God moves among men in your lifetime.”

And lo! Past them now, past the graceful death of Vasili Iprenka and the awed daughter of Mother Russia came Wingertus Titanus, Wingert the Invincible.

Moscow was turned out, the world sat and watched helplessly, evil trembled. The Coronation of Tsar Wingert Grozny had come. The procession now marched to St. Basils. The city was bright with pennants on that cold winter morning, decorations filled every nook and cranny. Prominent among them were the new Russian flag, the Tsarist flag. Bars of blue, red and white serving as a background to the awesome specter the Imperial Double Headed Eagle.

Great banners and posters, some hundreds of feet, illustrated Tsar Wingert as Atlas, holding up the world. A great statue to this effect would be placed in Red Square, overshadowing the monument of Lenin as the sun eclipses a toad. He was magnificent, titanic, immovable, these banners demonstrated that the Tsars power was subservient only to that of Almighty God. Atlas now had the world bolted aright, surely problems would now be crushed and set anew again by the colossal digits of his hands. The Flag of the French Monarchy, the Fleur-de-lys, flew side by side in some locations with the Tsarist flags, symbolizing the union of House Bourbon and House Grozny vis-à-vis the marriage of Queen Jillesepone and King Louis-Auguste. The flag of the Holy League, a red cross on a white field, also flew, symbolizing the unity of all monarchies.

Thunder clamored and shook Moscow, a hundred cannons rent the air with blank shot. His Imperial Majesty the Tsar was close. First came one thousand Cossacks of the Imperial Lifeguards. They rode black horses. As armor they sported silver breastplates. Each carried a bright silver sword, and held it at attention as the cavalcade passed by. They were all Ukrainian, the crack troops picked from the Imperial Army to serve as the Tsars personal décor. Then came two score Lavragerian prisoners of war, in shackles and yokes, chanting:

“O Woe! Woe to those who oppose the Tsar! O Woe!” They marched by, proclaiming their warning and message to all.

Then came the Tsars chariot. Riding in a war chariot made of gold, the Tsar was likewise dressed in a cloth of gold suit. He wore a laurel wreath made of gold, and his sword was strapped to his back. Palm fronds were thrown before, yea even in the winter snow of Russia. He stood perfectly still, as if at attention for the mobs of Russia, his virtual slaves: thus did the Tsar of all the Russias acknowledge his serfs as his own beloved children. His coronation suit was classical in a Byzantine way, all gold and pearls, yet the overall mythical theme was that of Atlas, the Titan who holds up the world. His cloak of gold cloth, which had a mural of the crucifix upon it, had so prodigious a train that 230 men were required to hold it aloft: these were the members of the Duma, serving faithful to acknowledge their positions of subservience. Even Communists marched and held the cloak up, a sign of their status in the eyes of the world as beaten dogs, fit only to obey and be spared another thrashing.

If there ever was a representation of Atlas, none was better than Tsar Wingert I.

Crowds knelt as one when the chariot passed. Heralds before and behind the Tsars chariot afoot threw jewels and coins to the crowd, betwixt proclaiming:

“God Save Tsar Wingert! Emperor of the peoples from the rising to the setting sun! Tsar of Russia, Archduke of the Estenlands, Potentate of Astrakhan, Prince of Kazakhstan, Warlord of the Vladivostok, Dread Lord of Siberia, and Sovereign Master of the Eastern World! Bow before him, he is come and victory! Behold, he is glorious!”

Whereupon a military squad of honor, placed at the exact intervals, would fire a volley of blank shot, and fifty trumpeters behind the Tsar would ring their trumpets in unison.

Behind the Tsars chariot came the carriage, deep blue and open to the crowd, carrying His Most Christian Majesty Louis-Auguste and Here Serene Highness Jillesepone, who waved. Both were dressed in their own coronation regalia, crowns and all. Louis-Auguste was radiant as his Switzers formed a panoply of military color about him. If Wingert was the worlds new Atlas, Louis-Auguste was the new Apollo: indeed, a whole series of medals given away at the coronation sponsored that theme. Queen Jillesepone, whose allegory was Persephone, was splendid as the summer sunset. It was noticed, however, they she was very pregnant again, and this child would become the heir to House Bourbon.

Behind their carriage came the white vehicle, drawn by white mares, containing Their Royal Highness’ Grand Duke Paul of the Estenlands and Madame Royale Princess Catherine de Bourbon et Grozny, the twin children of Louis-Auguste and Jillesepone. They were too high in rank to simply ride with their parents, and their not so little squad of bodyguards wore the liveries of the twins own colors. They were not too young to have their own little crowns, and Grand Duke Paul even wore the cordon bleu of the Ordu du Saint-Esprit.

Then the carriage of King Juan Carlos II rolled by, a deep and open green affair. His place of honor was a clear indication of his being invited to join the Holy League, and the handsome older monarch wore his epaulets with the best of them.

Of course Royce rolled by next, that is to say Emperor Royce I of Roycelandia. His place of honor is the procession was no doubt to his very fair attitude towards both Tsar and Christian King. Following Royce I was King Louis I of Algeria likewise with His very pregnant Queen Yolande (some whispered that twins ran in the family), and accorded his own carriage whose coat of arms was a play on the Fleur-de-lys theme.

Sultan Abdul Hamid II even deigned to take a carriage in the procession, both he and his entourage were suitably splendid. Emperor Shinseiki of Japan, the former Chiisu Suun, was grand as always, his carriage done in yellow pastels highlighted with silver. Emperor Zhang of China came, as did the charm of the Middle Kingdom. Even representitives from the House of Windsor saw fit to attend. Then there was the rest of the various lords and princelings of Europe, as well as the grandees and Dames from Holy League States.

The procession would then pass under the French gift to the Tsar, a wonder of the modern world. A gargantuan rainbow, a creation of optical lenses and laser technology, would now hang sublimely over Moscow. It was installed as the present Louis-Auguste wished to present his father-in-law with on this blessed occasion. It looked absolutely real, and when the sun shined through it, a picture perfect rainbow stretched over Moscow from the Kremlin to St. Basil’s Cathedral, and soared hundreds of feet into the air. When the statute of Atlas as Wingert was completed in Red Square, it would be at the exact center of the rainbow, and the metaphor of prosperity and holiness would be complete.

For as the procession passed under the rainbow, choirs and orchestras took up a hymn of praise. So it was that when Wingert first passed under the arch and a rainbow shown above Moscow, the choir of men, women, and children of the Royal French Orchestra took up the hymn, highlighted by kettle drums, organs and trumpets:

“I set my rainbow in the cloud,” sayeth the Lord “and it shall be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.

Genesis 9:14-16

Then all the church bells of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Paris, Algiers, and all the Holy League states and protectorates rang out. A two hundred and ten gun salute was given from the Kremlin by howitzers firing blank shot.

Also, in Red Square, in the foot of the statue and opposite Lenin’s tomb, a shrine was set up to honor the memory of newly canonized Vladimir Putin, recently declared a Saint in the Russian Orthodox Church.

In the frenzy of this activity the Tsars chariot rolled to the foot of St. Basils Cathedral. The doors were opened for him, and children dressed in white threw flowers at his feet. Men released thousands of white doves over the city as Tsar Wingert strode down the isle, followed by his train-bearers. While he kneeled and prepared to accept the sacraments the monarchs of the worlds took their seats in the immediate front. A choir of monks began the new national anthem, or the old one, “Bozhe Tsarya Khrani”…God Save the Tsar.

Wingert rose, and the choirs began on another hymn, as the Patriarch Alexias II descended in full regalia to crown the Tsar. First Wingert’s head was anointed with chrism. He was given the Holy Orders as a Priest would be, and the signs of the cross were made about his body.

The Patriarch asked Wingert Lavragerianus if he would exterminate heretics, defend the one true faith, challenge evil and injustice wherever it may be, protect the poor, punish the proud; and to rule Mother Russia as an agent of Christ, not of this world.

“I do,” said a humble Wingert, on a massive purple cushion, with oil from heaven on his brown and the smell of frankincense in his nostrils.

“Kyrie Eleison,” sang the choir, in waves of fugue and harmony.

“What name will you take?” chanted Alexias II in elegant Greek.

“Wingert the First,” replied the master of Russia.

“Then by the power vested in me by God and the Most Holy Trinity, I declare you to be Tsar Wingert I, who shall also be known as Titanus and Lavragerianus, to be the one true Tsar, Tsar of all the Russias!”

The choir sang ‘Hosanna to God in the highest, and peace to His people on earth.”

Raised high upon a large golden shield by the cadre of His Bodyguard, Tsar Wingert I was carried out of St. Basil’s gilded doors. Presented in splendor to the mobs gathered outside, Wingert shown as a super nova. From high platforms overhead, roses plucked fresh from New Provence and brought by jet were rained down upon Tsar, Boyar, Commoner, soldier, and serf amid the frozen and snow encrusted earth. Yet the frigid Russian cold simply crisped up the flowers, and made them shine more beautifully. Overhead clouds of fighter planes and bombers zoomed by. In the Square tanks rumbled by in perfect columns, while soldiers marched in rigid formation.

Church bells rang, cannons boomed, the choirs sang, trumpets propounded, and the people cheered until their throats bled.

Tsar Wingert I had taken his due, amen!

OOC-Awesome.

Just two things. It was Peter, not Paul, after Peter the Great, and here is a link to another picture of the Tsar.

An old man who saw the crucifix fall from the sky spat "I'm as religious as the rest of 'em, but do they have to throw crosses on our heads? And I liked the old national anthem better...Zlad!'s work I could dance to..."

OOC-Excellent work NG! I must say, your ideology is built on no foundation whatsoever and looking at the history of the monarchy I fail to see any divine spark (George III anyone?), but you're a stupendous writer.

OOC- Thanks for the kind words AC. However, if you fail to see a divine spark in monarchy, then you must be blind.

I will not take up the thread, that usurpation is frowned upon heavily in AMW. One moment if I may. As an American, you have been spoon fed your own ideology so much you could not possibly believe anything besides God fearing apple pie eating America is OK, the American currency says as much. You need do no more than read Martin Bloch's Les Rois Thaumaturges trans. the Royal Touch to understand that monarchy, in Western Europe at least, is one with the Catholic, and later Catholic and Protestant Churches. The Pope, who by the way is also enthroned, and the Kings dispute over who has the greater authority was in fact the main quandry in the Middle Ages.

Feudalism is a universe of precise order. You have God at the top and around all, below Him is the Pope, then Kings, then Dukes, then Counts, etc etc. God is the very fabric out of which monarchy, Kingship in the Western sense (and indeed all monarchies worldwide maintain inseperable links with the dominant religion).

And if I may say so, my foundation is based on obiedience to God and crown. In fact, your own ideology's foundation is based in rebellion against authority...a pessimist could argue that America was founded on criminal behavior, and little has changed since.
