Earthed Klingons

Captain Utris M'Toc knew he was in trouble. The captain and his vessel, the Tol'Nair, had gotten off on the wrong foot in a very delicate situation with a fleet of Romulan Birds of Prey. They were suffering heavy damage from the Romulan assault and they couldn't take much more of a beating. The Tol'Nair was the most advanced ship in the Klingon lfeet, armed to the teeth with the most advanced weaponry that could take on several assault ships of any origin. But he was facing too many of them and his mission and the mere technologicla level of his ship prevented him from dying like a Warrior as he would like to do in this situation and decimate the attacking Romulan fleet.
"Sir, the shields are failing!" his Cheif Engineer told him.
"It is a good day to die!" his First Officer, Hak Knolo snarled.
"No, it's a good day to retreat," Utris replied, "Fire off a few more Quantum torpedoes and head for Federation territory, we can't afford to lose the vessel or abort the mission at any cost!"
"Yes, sir!"
He watched as a few green specks of light spun towards the Romulan ships and they exploded.
"Engage!"
"Sir, I don't have enough time for coordinances!"
"Just warp!"
Utris saw the fleet disappear as stars flew by. He relaxed a bit. The Romulans would not pursue on this matter, he knew, but he did know that he couldn't afford to visit the Neutral Zone for a while. He made a sigh of relief.
"Where are we?" Utris asked.
"We are...At Earth, sir. I didn't have time to punch in coordinances, so I just took the first Federation system I could find. We're orbiting it, but our ship is too damaged to leave."
"Show it onscreen."
Earth showed up in front of him. It was just as he saw it in his studies, only much more magnificient. He noted that the air wasn't as clean as he was told and surprisingly he spotted no ships, just one, small metal object sharing their orbit.
"What is that?"
"Scanning...A small, primitive satellite, sir. Probably just a child's science project."
Utris nodded.
"Send out a distress signal, tell them we have taken heavy damage and many casualties."
"Yes, sir."
Utris closed his eyes as he sat in his chair. He heard nothing in reply.
"Are our communications damaged?"
"No, sir. We're just not getting anything."
"Scan for life signs on the planet and for ships around the planet."
"No ships in teh area. Human life signs on the planet, a lot fewer than in the records sir. I detect no indication of modern human technology.
Utris heard a loud 'thunk'.
"What was that?"
"We collided with the metal object sir. It's been destroyed."
The Tol'Nair continued to monitor the planet and discovered that with all of the firing and phasers, space and time itself were disrupted and when they Warped, they warped back in time to Earth, but they weren't sure of when it was. They soon discovered on their diagnostics of their own ship that theiur orbit was decaying and their warp engines were completely offline, as the last warp jump had destroyed their ability to use them. Their subspace communications, however, were not, but the Captain was reluctant to use them for their own purposes. Contacting other species during this time period could disrupt history. Then again, contacting the Vulcans might not hurt too badly, as they are reasonable peoples...
The captain had to act fast or the ship would be destroyed. He decided that contacting the Vulcans or fellow Klingons wouldn't do too much damage if it was all kept secret. He authorized the contacting of the nearest known Vulcan settlement of the time and hoped that there were survey teams in the area within the next few days.
--One week later--
The attempted contact with the Vulcans had yet to yield any results and they were having much difficulty restabilizing the orbit. Crashing on the planet seemed imminent, which would surely destroy them one way or another, as the crew figured. Utris grew more and more anxious as they entered the atmosphere little by little. When the day came that the ship had less than three days left in orbit, Utris began to make preparations for a hard landing, Utris realized that if they survived they would have to live on in total secret or commit mass sucicide and destroy the ship. Utris was not in favor of the latter. What really surprised him was what his First Officer told him.
"We must crash-land on the planet," Hak said to him.
"What? Why?"
"I was told by the good Admiral that gave us our mission that this would happen, Utris. He did not want me to tell you because you would try to prevent it, Captain. We must land on Earth."
"I would rather die," Utris replied.
"Then try, but you will only irritate things further. A large Klingon nation was discovered on Earth by the Vulcans in 2007. It was revealed to be over fifty years old and that static messages intercepted by Vulcans around the time of its founding were from the original ship. We are that ship, Utris. You must land it on the planet."
"You, yourself said that it was a good day to die at the battle," Utris reminded him. Utris found this very hard to believe.
"I was excited," Hak replied.
Utris stared at his First for a while and said, "I'll be in my quarters."
OOC: Now I'm listening to 'Star Trekkin' just as I finish!
The first MT nation to make an IC post when we land will become our secret neighbor. We won't reveal ourselves until we reach 'today' (2007) unless I feel that someone else is better to be a neighbor of. Revealing us to the word, especially the USA or the USSR, before it's time won't end well for you.

"Hull and Shield status?"
"Optimal, sir."
"Crew?"
"Ready."
"Engines?"
"Destroyed."
"Cloak?"
"Ready."
"Let's land."
Utris watched as the continents of Earth seemed to inflate and the details grew larger and larger as biomes could bee observed and then cities and then made a sigh of relief as the ships landed softly on the planet's surface. The ship had cloaked as soon as it was out of the protective layer of the planet. The ship landed softly in a very secluded area and the crew began to set up to begin life anew on 20th-century Earth.
Over the next few days, the Klingons sent out away teams to scout the areas and locate areas with humans, migrations of them, and their population growth in the area, so they planned to expand a bit more out of the ship within a few months. But one of the Away teams, led by Hak himself, was unfortuneate enough to break the no-contact rule made at the time of their landing by accident...

22-12-2005, 02:45
OOC:I hope you dont mind having a psychotic military Dictatorship as a neighbor? I am going to take a few liberties in this post, so please forgive me.
IC:The place where Hak and his fellow Klingons had landed was the Red Tidean Mainland... more specifically, the very, very South-East corner, in the Red Tidean Rainforest. They also had the unfortuanate luck to find themselves landing there at the precise time the Red Tidean Military was hunting down the Capitilist Seperatists that had setup inside the jungles. So one day, the sound of gunfire and explosions could be heard in the distance, it began to get closer, and closer. Every so often, a Red Tidean Tu-95 Strategic Bomber would appear and carpet bomb some area in the distance, but the area that would get carpet bombed got closer everyday. The sound continued to get closer, and then one day, it stopped all together, even the Tu-160 stopped coming. Apparently the Rebels had gotten away from the military... for awhile.
Hak and his explorers had entered a clearing in the jungle. They were midway through it when out of the woods burst several styrotypical communist rebels, with red bandanas and such. Strapped to their back were bolt action Hunting Rifles. They hardly seemed to pay any attention to where they were going because the leader of the group ran into Hak, the man scrambled to his feet and yelled, "RUN! THEY'RE COMING!" And then ran off after the rest of his group who had disappeared into the opposite side of the clearing.
Then, emerging from the woodline was a platoon(50 men) of Red Tidean Close Combat Troopers. They had spread out in a line and were advancing Ak-47 Assault Rifles and N-30 Flamethrowers were out and pointed forward.

OOC: Don't worry, I don't mind too much. And I hope you realize this is 1958, when Sputnik was destroyed.
IC:
Hak realized that the Away Team was in trouble after the Communist rammed into him. Hak had hardly any time to react by the time the man had fled and he pulled out his Phazer to prevent him from escaping when he heard the helicopters flying overhead. He ordered the team to duck and hide and allow the humans to do their thing in the area, but stealth was no among a Klingon's strong suit. They were training in it, but the lack of necessity for it and the lust for a man-on-man battle deprived them of true skill, and the physiology of Klingons didn't help, either, as they are one of the most tallest humanoid species in their native quadrant. But tehy used the rain forest to their advantage by hiding in the leaves and the trees. They knew little of this Red Tide that owned the rain forest, only that their military was among the more formidable on the planet and they weren't the most benevolent nations, either.
ooc: Grrrrrrrr at you Red Tide for getting here first.

OOC:OH! Errr... Well... I have never seen Star Trek... so, is the Klingons Lifespan several Dozen years or not? :p If not, we can assume that some wierd sci-fi event extended their lifespan that long. Because Red Tide WAS part of the USSR(and before that... Russia) up until its collapse. It was used as a forward Missile/Sub base by the USSR.
IC:The Red Tidean Troopers paused as they came to the clearing. They scanned the area at the edge, then pressed forward. Moving across the clearing. However, somewhere in there, a rebel appeared at the edge of the tree line, quickly took aim and fired his Hunting Rifle. The Platoon leader took a hit in the neck The powerful hit tore half of the neck open. The Red Tidean Troopers didnt even pause, they swung their weapons up and opened fire. Assault Rifles firing in bursts, while Flamethrowers ripped into the treeline. The Rebels tried to return fire but half(which were not very many) turned and fled, the other half began to get overwhelmed.

OOC: If you're still part of the USSR, we could keep it a local secret. and we could share a border with Theao or something...
IC:
"Sir, we have top stop them!" one of the Lieutenants told Hak using hand signals.
"That would mess with the timeline!" Hak signaled back, "We can't be known by the humans!"
"If they set the rainforest ablaze, we'll die and it will cause complications in the Cloak!" the reply was. Hak understood-Teh cloak was advanced, but not invincible, and a blazing rainforest qould be so hot that the visual disfigurement already given off by the cloak would be enhanced to the point that it would be virtually useless, although their shields would work.
Hak pulled out his phazer and aimed it at the nearest man with a flamethrower and fired. It was on a low Stun setting, so he would be out cold for a day or so since it was a headshot. They began to pick off the flamethrower-bearing soldiers, trying to stay as inspicuos as possible. But one of the younger Bekks ((=Private)) grew excited and let out a yell when he was surprised by one of the local creatures, giving away his position to the Red Tidean soldiers.
Red Tide2
22-12-2005, 03:47
OOC:Okay... in that case, get rid of the helicopters, the gas masks, and the collars. Replace the M-50s and M-100s with Ak-47s, replace the Red Tidean Uniforms with 1950s era Russian Uniforms, and replace the Communist Rebels with Capitilist Seperatists... oh and replace the Tu-160 with a Tu-95. Ill go back and edit all that after this post.
IC:The Red Tidean Soldiers began to get confused, someone was picking off their flamethrowers! The seperatists now began to gain the upperhand. The New Platoon Leader(he was second in command until the current one got shot) barked orders in Russian and the soldiers began to fall back. The Seperatists cheered and rushed out of the woods, firing at the Military Men. The Red Tidean Soldiers were about to dissappear back from where they came from when the Klingon Private jumped out of hiding. The surprise appearance of him found four of the Seperatist rifles swung around towards him, but the Seperatists did not fire, instead they began to yell at him in Russian. The rest, drove back the remaining soldiers, before they turned and saw the four Seperatists pointing rifles at the lone Klingon.

IC:
Hak signaled to begin to fire at the commanders of the Seperatists, but then the Klingon Brakk was spotted and threatened. The younger Klingon knew that the Hunting Rifle was no match for his phazer and could easily take a few shots from the hunting rifle, but not from four at different angles like that. Hak fired his phazer at the rifle, melting it in his hadns as the other Klingons appeared from the trees. The Bakk grabbed one of the rifles and grabbed it from the Seperatist and grabbed the man by grabbing his arm and spinning it around and the Speratist found the Klingon behind him with a phazer at his head. The Bakk cursed his stupidity in Klingon.

22-12-2005, 04:00
The rest of the Seperatists mouths dropped open for a split second or two, before they turned and ran. The Seperatist in the Klingons hands began to yell for mercy. He began to go between Russian and English. Apparently he ws the leader of that particular group.
"PLEASE! DONT HURT ME!" He yelled in English(he had just yelled the exact same thing in Russian a few moments earlier), "THE RED TIDEANS WILL BE BACK! MORE OF THEM! WITH TANKS! AND BOMBERS! PLEASE! I DONT WANT TO DIE LIKE THIS!"

22-12-2005, 04:07
The Bakk looked up to the the Commander and he nodded. The Bakk let the Seperatist go, but still held the phazer at him. Hak approached the man and said,
"You never saw us. Your friend's weapon was destroyed by one of the flamethrowers. You will not fight in this area again. Do you understand me?" Hak said threateningly.
OOC: If you're still part of the USSR, we could keep it a local secret. and we could share a border with Theao or something...
ooc: Would be fine with me, if that's how you want to work it.
Red Tide2
22-12-2005, 04:13
OOC:The problem with sharing a border with Theao is that I am an ISLAND!
IC:The Seperatist considered this, he was curious about the mysterious strangers who showed up. But he knew the Red Tideans would be back, and pretty quickly. He could already hear the squeeling of tank treads, it was in his mind of course, the Red Tidean Soldiers couldnt have reported in that fast. So the man nodded vigorously, making sure to add, "I will tell my fellow fighters to avoid here, but I cannot tell the Goverment Forces." he then began to look over his shoulder in a paranoid manner.
OOC:The problem with sharing a border with Theao is that I am an ISLAND!
ooc: Think EK meant him + me, not you and me.
Sort of like the people meeting you took a shuttle or somesuch, while the ship landed/crashed near/in Theao.

OOC:On second thought, Maybe there could be a large River dividing me and Theao? We could be part of the Cold War right now, Theao being backed by the US, me being backed by the USSR?
IC:The Seperatist decided to leave it at that and run away.
A half-an hour later, a Tu-95 appeared over the spot where the three sides had fought it out and carpet bombed the area, then Red Tidean T-54s with Infantry cover advanced into the area, finding nothing. The seperatist would return to the main base and never mention the encounter again, eventually forgetting about it all together.

OOC: Here's my idea: The Klingons realize that they have to help out the Seperatists who gradually become modern Red Tide by giving them Klingon training. their contact with Theao gets Theao to encourage Capitalism in Red Tide with US influence and they all keep the Earthed Klingons a secret until they open up. The River will eventually split and become a saltwater strait, seperating the Theao-bordering colony.
IC:
"I think we should act on this," Utris said, staring out the window.
"Sir?" Hak said, confused.
"Think about it: Red Tide is ruled by the USSR right now. Theao is to the East of Red Tide by the river, and they are allied with the USA. What few records we have tell us that Red Tide become a corporate police state. Somehow I doubt that they will accomplish that through Marxism," Utris explained. Hak nodded.
"So we help the Rebels with their fighting and encourage Theao to help them with their war against the USSR."
"Exactly! That's the true importance of the colony! We help tip the scale in the Twentieth Century Earth Cold War and stay a secret until the twenty-first century when we open up, as the General told you."
"So what do you suggest we do?"
"Find the rebels and begin to tech them, but stay inconspicous. Don't allow the Soviet Union or the United States to learn that we are here, just give them enough of a combat edge to found Red Tide, no matter how oppressive they become."
"I will make the arrangements immediately, Captain."
OOC:Hmm... my nations current leader came to power via Military Coup-de-Tat. We could try to fit that into the story line somehow.
IC:The General Secretary(although the Western Media called him Premier) of the Politburo of the Socialist Soviet Republic of Red Tide(SSRRT) was a happy man, like the rest of the party elite, he lived in absolute comfort, the alliance with General Secretary Kruschev(SP?) was going to be signed into effect later today, the SSRRT would allow the Soviet Union to build ICBM Silos and Submarine Pens on the Island of Roshenberg, just North of Red Tide. And to boot, the South-Eastern Rebels were being crushed, the arms supplied by the Russians were working well against them. The Premier had already been down to the Capitol Cities(the City of Ariga) Airbase to inspect the new air wing of MiG-17 Fighter/Bombers, to be flown by the best pilots of the Red Tidean Airforce.
He smiled as he walked down the halls of the Krysal. A KGB Officer was waiting for him. The Premier greeted him as if he was an old friend.
"Greetings, Korev."
The KGB Officer nodded, "Hello, comrade. We are ready to ship you the new SA-2 Surface-Air Missiles that you can deploy to defend your fine capitol."
"Good, good. Any new intellegince on the rebels?" The Premier asked.
"Yes, our spy overflights revealed the location of their main base."
The Premier laughed, "The imperialists should have known better. We will destroy them!"
Back to the Jungle... a thin dusty road.
A Regiment of Motorised-Infantry, in trucks and BTR-60 APCs rolled down in a column over the road, they were heading to a staging area to attack the rebel main base. Along for the ride was a battalion of T-54 Main Battle Tanks(31 tanks).

"Sir, our sensors have detected a battalion's worth of armor headed through the jungle towards the Rebel Base," the Lieutenant at Ops told the Captain. Utris nodded.
"Alright. Warn the Rebels and make a few traps for the tanks to head them off. Don't become directly involved, though. Hak, I have a special assignment for you, see me in my waiting room."
Utris led Hak into his waiting room where he briefed his First Officer.
"I want you to make contact with the Theaos."
"Sir?"
"Make sure they don't reveal our presence. The Theaos will use the mere knowledge of us against the Soviet Union. If we can get the Theaos to support the rebels, Red Tide can emerge with more ease. After this war is over, we make a deal with both of them to allow us to expand,a t least towards Theao, without revealing our presence on the planet."
"I understand. How should I do it?"
"Be creative."
OOC: Theao, do something like a survey team or something in the unclaimed territory near the river that I'll expand into.
The third platoon of the first company of the Black Battalion, was busy patrolling along the river-bank, scouting and reconning the various 'no-man's' land that existed. Lt. 'Butter-bar' Williams, a career lieutenant who prefered the role of an Lt. and prefered not to get bumped to captain, was busy talking with 'Top' Jacobson about the state of the world.
"Wonder if the perfumed princes' will decide to get involved in this dang war between the bastard commies and asshat americans."
"Speaking as one of the perfumed princes..."
"Oh come off it, you're no more a REMF than I am."
"Well ya, but in all likelyhood, unless something happens, we'll remain out of it."
"Good, I don't like the line the MoC, MoJ and MoSS have been pushing concerning that bastard Eisenhower."
"Not many do, but them's the breaks."

Hak watched the Theao soldiers and ordered his Away team to approach with caution. They wouldn't let themselves be seen until the night. Until then, they would observe and find out who the CO is of the operation. It might take them a while to convince them that they're not crazy, but they had to do what needed to be done.
Their silent and stealthy observations identified one Lieutenant 'Butter-Bar' Williams as the CO. They waited until it was very late at night and he was headed to his personal tent to reveal themselves. As soon as the Lietenant walked into his tent, Hak turned on the light and Butter-Bar was grabbed and his mouth was covered. Hak smiled.
"Hello. Greetings from space."
William's eyes conveyed the question of 'Who in the black hell are you' as well as any words could as he was grabbed by, and addressed by a number of odd looking, alleged aliens. As it was his hand naturally went for his standard issue combat knife.

The Klingon warrior pressed on his hand with his knee and whispered, "No."
"If you scream, you die and we're gone. What we have to say is very important, so listen carefully."
Hak signaled to let him go.
"And don't think you can surprise any of us with any sudden movements, we've trained our whole lives for people to do that to us."
Once these for lack of a better name, mutant apes, released him, Williams asked in a calm voice, which also had a hint of someone's about to get their ass chewed off about it, "Who in the black hell are you and what do you want?"

22-12-2005, 16:14
OOC:Sorry for not replying sooner. I had to go to bed.
IC:Most of the Rebels were at their base, blissfully unaware of the armored death coming towards them. There were about 2,000 of them, only 500 away from a regiments worth.

Once these for lack of a better name, mutant apes, released him, Williams asked in a calm voice, which also had a hint of someone's about to get their ass chewed off about it, "Who in the black hell are you and what do you want?"
"We are an alien race known as Klingons. Our ship has crash-landed on this planet and we need your help with a little problem we have," Hak said to William, seeing no reason to lie, "And like it or not you are going to help us."
----
Two Away teams were sent out into the forest to warn the Rebels of the inevitable assault and to set a few traps in the forest for the tanks and the backup infantry.
The Klingons sent to warn the Away team found several holes in their perimeter and planned to inform them of the holes. They slipped into the base using these holes and found the head CO of the rebel base and, like Hak did to William, slipped in unnoticed and waited for him to enter.
"We are an alien race known as Klingons. Our ship has crash-landed on this planet and we need your help with a little problem we have," Hak said to William, seeing no reason to lie, "And like it or not you are going to help us."

One of the Bakks chuckled at the last comment. Hak smiled and said,
"Because if you don't help us, Theao will be stuck between a rock and a hard place," Hak said, trying to stay vague, "It's not so much you helping us, it's more of you helping yourself. Across the river is an island called Red Tide. It is currently occupied by the Soviet Union and it is destined to become one of the hot spots of the Earth Cold War. Don't ask me how I know this. Theao is going to help the rebels there push out the USSR and you're the one who starts it all."
"First of all, I don't have the authority, second, I'm not stupid, third, you've only as yet given me to doubt your word, and fourth, why should I care if the damn yanks and commies duke it out over there?" He asked as he looked at the odd 'Klingon'.

Hak sighed. He looked at the Brakk and nodded. Teh Brakk grabbed William by his uniform with one hand and held him in the air. Hak approached him and said,
"Because the Soviet Union has plans for Theao next. And if the USSR controls Red Tide, what do you think will happen to us? It will be only a matter of time before they discover our presence here. If the Rebels know of our presence, which they already do, they are more likely to keep us a secret than the USSR, as we can easily wipe them out. If teh Rebels are destroyed, they will head over the River and into Theao, which will only shorten your monarchy's time in power. This is not a matter of the USA and the USSR duking it out in this area, it is a matter of teh national security of three nations, at least."
Hak turned away from william and pulled out a picture of his wife and his son, who were on the ship.
"I know what Theao is to become, having encountered a few on my long career. If you can't at least convince your superiors to act, then that will never happen."
"If what you say is true, why don't you take your case to the Emperor, also mainland Theao is quite a bit off." William replied, "Incidently a lieutenant who went and tried to convince his superiors that he'd been visited by time-travelling aliens would be commited at the very least."

The best weapons, it was noticed, that the rebels had were WW1 Era Machineguns and, their pride and joy, a PaK-38 Anti-Tank Gun. At 38mms, it was old, inefficient, jammed alot, and could do **** against a Russian BTR-60... much less a T-54.
The Red Tidean CO came in with to his makeshift office, a bottle of vodka(5/6 full) in his hand... well he certainly had a reason to be drinking, the Red Tidean Military had launched a counter-rebel offensive that had taken away a full 3/4 of his combat strength. The rebbelion, it appeared, was doomed.

"Because you, Butter-Bar, are the one at the bottom of the command. This may destroy your career, but it will save your life. You can act on this yourself or you can go to your superiors. You need to do this. It wasn't us. It's in your hands now."
Without another word, William was put down and the Away team disappeared.
----
"Seems like a good day to die, doesn't it?" Commander Shear P'Cue, the Tactics officer of the ship, said to the Red Tidean CO, drinking from his own bottle, which contained Klingon ale, too strong for a human to drink in portions larger than a small shot of high-grade wiskey. Two Bakks blocked the entrenece. The Red Tidean CO could see their weapons plainly, including phazers and several blades.
"You should know that your perimeter has about five huge holes in it. Might want to fix that."
"Because you, Butter-Bar, are the one at the bottom of the command. This may destroy your career, but it will save your life. You can act on this yourself or you can go to your superiors. You need to do this. It wasn't us. It's in your hands now."
Without another word, William was put down and the Away team disappeared.
"Idiot aliens," Williams muttered darkly, as he continued the statement in his head, "Unversed in logic, tactics, strategy or even common sense."
Calling in Jacobson, he instructed the camp to be 'locked down'. This meant that the Man-Jacks and claymores were to be deployed, as well as full entrenchment and patrols schedualed much more frequently. If a fly tried to get in they'd be spotted, and as it was a lock down, every troop packed all of the distinguishing marks away, making them each a cog rather than individual.

By the time the orders to lock down had spread throughout the base, the Away team was long gone. The only evidence of tehir beign there was William himself and an odd knife jammed in a table with a map on it of the Red Tidean rain forest with their own positions and the positions of the rebel base and the Soviet tank positions. It was marked with a plan of attack by the Soviets to take the encampment by force. Whether it really was what the Soviets were planning or not Hak didn't know. He was using scare tactics to get William to act on it.
Williams knew of the rebels as it was one of the rather more salient points in the area. While it's percise location was unknown it wasn't really important. In addition, with the amount of trouble he knew that the rebels where causing, they were long over-due for a visit by a unit from the red army.
As it was they would likely, unless the major got a visit by these idiots calling themselves Klingons, the rebels were SOL'ed. And unless they were very polite, there was no way Major Ricardo Vincii Payne would lift a finger to help the Russians or those opposing them.

The Base CO shotup, throwing his bottle into the air which came back down on his head. He spun around to look at the stranger who just appeared right there in his base. His eyes darted to the Klingons weapons, then back to their faces.
He said in English, "Who... who are you? What do you want?"

One of the Brakks smiled and said,
"We've come for you. We've come to harvest your soul!"
One of the other Klingons hit him on the back of the head as the Brakk laughed. Shear smiled at the joke.
"We've come to offer you a bit of advice. You see, our settlement is in the middle of the rain forest and we can't afford to be found by the Soviet Union. So we figure you can keep a secret better than they. We can help you help yourselves fight off the Soviet Union and establish yourself as your own nation. All you have to do is garuntee us a bit of land and keep our presence here a secret."

The CO breathed a sigh of relief, "I can do that... we need weapons... and ammo. We need anti-tank guns and anti-aircraft artillery."

"Your weapons are not our problem. We have made arrangements that will help you out, but we cannot control what happens next. There is a large Soviet task force coming in to level the base. You need to get ready. We have already sent a team to set a few traps for them, but we cannot be involved any more. Once the assault is over and if you survive, we will return to you. Do we have your word you will not speak of our exsistance to anyone?"

"Deal..." The Bases CO said without thinking about it much, "Now I need to get my men to the alternate base." He said, heading for the door.

Commander Shear raised an eyebrow.
"I thought this was your last outpost."

"Unless the alternate has been overrun, no it isnt. Our alternate is deeper in the jungle, right on the river banks actually. We have 500 men stationed there, it can easily hold all of us." The CO turned and said, "The alternate IS our last outpost."

"If you feel that you can stand a better chance there, then fine. Just make it quick and be ready. The Soviets will be here soon. We will delay them the best we can. Just remember that you must fight sometime, or you are doomed to die."

ooc: I gave you an opening to get them active(By having Klingons talking with the Major)(Incidentally, a platoon would be less than useless against a tank division(unless it was a AT-platoon which it's not).

((You start, Theao.))
Major Payne sat at his desk as he looked at three of the most unrulely and also most skilled members of his battalion. There was Jake 'Snake' Mosovich playing with twelve inches of combat steel, Sandra 'Death' Ellesby, the most beautiful and deadly sharp-shooter Ricardo had ever seen, and lastly was Sargent Steward, a living ghost.
"Now what am I going to do with you three." He asked retorically...

"Put them to good use," Hak said, emerging from his hiding spot. The rest of his team emerged from their own hiding spots. One of the officers piped up and said,
"You Theaos have a better taste in drinks than normal humans do!" as he chugged on a bottle of something.
"You do know you're drinking bleach, don't you." Steward replied calmly.
Payne, Jake and Sandra just looked at the aliens. "I was wondering when you'd show yourselves." Payne commented as he watched the aliens for a reaction.

The Klingon shrugged and chugged the rest of the bottle.
"I have enough organs."
Hak smirked.
"We're not that great at stealth anyways. You must be the Major that fellow William told me about. My people are in need of your help.
"Would you care to elaborate on that?" Ricardo asked

Hak smiled.
"We are, how you say, ahead of your time. We have no way of returning to our own except to wait it out, which will take several decades to do. On the other side of this river is a rather large rainforest and beyond that is the Soviet Naval base. The residents here are revolting and our people, who are stuck in the middle of the rainforest, have little desire to fall into Soviet or American hands. We have already gotten the help of the rebels and in order to ensure our safety we need yours."
"And why would I want to give that help?" Ricardo asked again. He was one who prefered to see, if not all the cards the other side was holding, at least most of them. As it stood, these people were playing with a closed hand.

"If the Soviet Union controls all of Red Tide, then they are within striking distance of Theao with four mechanized and infantry divisions within thirty-six hours. Theao, being a Monarchy, would be an easy conversion to Communism, not to mention what the Soviet will do with whatever technology they can get from us should we be taken over and controlled."
One of the Bakks snorted at the last comment.
"You find something FUNNY, young one?" Hak asked in Klingon.
"The Soviet Union could never defeat us, sir. We're Klingons," the young Klingon replied in their own language.
"Bakk, do you know how weak we are? Yes, we would give them the fight of their lives, but our ship, if found, would lose its cloak with just three volleys of their most modern tank. Our shields would fail in four more. We have no ship phazers and our numbers, even with our superior weaponry and our Klingon Guile and strength, the ship and a large number of its crew would be captured within a week of fighting. The Soviets would deploy all of the new technology and then use them against all of the Western nations, sharing it with its closest allies. Red Tide would become a Soviet Klingon colony where they would basicly farm us for their elite ranks, stripping us of our culture and our honor, deploying us in every theater of World War Three, which would be more of a slaughter. All of this would happen by 1990," Hak said to all present in English.
"Corrections, they will be within striking distance of here, not Theao. Also Theao is a Dominion, with a constitutional monarchy as goverment type rather than a purely monarchratic goverment. In addition, by the very nature of Theao, while socialism may become the majority goverment, neither communism nor marxism could get enought seats to weild power." Ricardo replied
Snake snorted as he heard the comments of the Klingon.

Hak smiled.
"The Soviets wouldn't care about how many seats they have in Theao. Your entire government would be scrapped and your Royal Family would end up dead. Theao would be a Soviet satellite state. And if the Soviets take over my people, they can control anywhere on the planet. And if you're not concerned about any of this, then if you ty to leave, the Soviets will spot and intercept your forces. They will use this as an excuse to take out Theao, or its military at least. If your forces help teh Rebels, we will all be safer and we will be in your debt."
"I was just pointing out the various fallecies in your argument." Ricardo replied
Snake chuckled, "Theao proper is too far away from any soviet satellite states and beyond effective attacking range. Next time check the maps before you go sprouting off."
"As Jake said," Ricardo commented, "Thought I doubt the technologies you have are both readily mass-produceable and possible for them to retro-eng. Also at present the rebels aren't in that much danger, not unless they're incompetent, red tankers are useless."

"They're outnumbered by infantry alone and they seem pretty incompetent to me. And the Soviets dont need to mass-produce our transporters to use them, ours are still in use."
"Of course guerillas are always out-numbered. It's part of how they operate." Ricardo replied, "Anyways, what do you want us to do about it, we'd be out-numbered as well. If your technologies are sufficiant to cause the Russians to win, then why not use them to tip the scales of the up-coming battle?"
The Klingons couldn't tell, but Jake, Sandra and Steward could tell that Ricardo had made a decision one way or the other.
