It has been noted the widespread usage of Super Star Destroyers. This has led to the Imperial Star Navy deciding to commishion a new ship that would act as an anti-Super Star Destroyer ship. Therefore, the Saruman class must be armed and armored to be able to accomplish this role.

To hasten the design process, Naval R. & D. will look at the hulls of existing designs from within the Empire and from without and decide which would be the best choice to build a new class from. While the Saruman class may look externally similar to the ship it was based off of, that is as far as the similarities will go.

Actually, I was just going to use the weapon systems I already have (check tech thread and ship/station thread for more info). As I don't use Star Wars style weapons, it won't have the usual weapons.

And, no, I have no intention, at this point in time, to sell any of the Saruman class ships for a couple reasons: None are built and they employ some of my more advanced tech that isn't available outside the Empire (only way someone could get this tech was if they managed to capture one of these ships, and that won't be easy).

Help would be much appreciated. A ship will be dispatched to pick up the scientists you are sending to take them on the first leg of the trip to the Pendragon Complex (can't exactly give you the co-ordinates of one of my most classified stations, so you can understand the security measures). SeaQuestian nanotechnology exists, but it is a simple affair right now and the current version used is quite an old design and in desperate need of an upgrade.

A basic hull design has been picked. The Saruman class Super Star Destroyer will be look like a Executor class Super Star Destroyer externally (size won't be the same).

Overall size of the class ship is being decided. It will mainly depend on what the weapons load-out will be.

It has been decided that only the class ship will be built as this design will have no true place in the newly redesigned Imperial Grand Navy.

Upon completion, the class ship, the only one currently planned, will be immediately placed as a home defense ship and won't be used outside SeaQuestian borders unless the need is dire.
