War decided over online games?

Hi, I'm new.

I just though of a cool idea but I'm not sure if it has been addressed before.

What if we fought the wars in NationStates over onlines games, like first person shooters or real times strategies?

I just wanted to know your ideas on that.

This might be best posted in gameplay.

Sounds like an interesting idea! There was a project a while back to mod an RTS for this purpose. Wonder what happened to it...

Anyways, I'd love to see something like this happen! The main downside to being able to do this is most people have custom tech. Not everyone here is a Shade7 fiend (the whiteness of it scares me)

If you can get it off the ground, you'll sure as heck have my support. Along those lines, has anyone ever thought of making an NS clan for any type of game?

That would be cool, but it would take away the storytelling element of the game.

Good idea, but this will cost the NS team lots of money.

You could make custom maps for the wars.

No money would be involved except for the players buying certain games and playing each other.

This would of course not be a required way to resolve conflicts. But some people might want to do it this way. I would be interested in playing a game against some of the folks here on NS.

Battefield 2: Modern Combat on the Xbox bring it, my GT is THE HUNTER 1991 and if you are a very good pilot you can try out for my clan, The_160th_SOAR .

*curses his lack of SOCOM and an Xbox* :p

Xfire name: anomaly149 (cheetos to whoever figures out what that name means) As soon as I figure out how to make the darn thing recognize CS source and several other new games, I'll be game for a game. Least it registers CoD easily.

This seems like a very interesting idea. Maybe we could hold a tourney...

[ Right. Plus, they'd have to reprogram the game every time a nation came up with a new weapon, fort, installment, or just about anything. ]

Rise of Nations would be a good game for national conflicts

What about the Civilazation games? I think they would work well for this. Well, if you don't pass PMT that is.

I was thinking a game we could play is Command & Conquer: Red Alert. It's old but good.

If SOCOM 3 is like SOCOM 2; and I had internet other than dialup; i would open up a can... but too bad.

Thanks for the invitation, but no thanks. :)

Edit: By the way, n00b is a deragatory term. Newb isn't. I don't think you met anything by it, so I though I'd let you know.
