"How can you fear death when you're already dead." Those were the words of the Leif the Grey, drillsergeant of the Einherjar. He was a veteran from Ragnarok, therefor the grey/the old, and he had seen the Gods themselves fight. No miracle he was the chosen leader of the army. The other veterans were long dead,immortal as they might've been, war, famine and treachery had taken its toll on the Einherjar over the years.
Today the strategy of the army was to be eplained to some rookies, straight from the battlefields. "You think you've seen it all, heh but have you ever seen a man eat his own head?? I doubt it, and untill that moment, you will all be subordinate to me, UNDERSTOOD!!!!"
"Excellent, now the strategy, right...First off, archers with huge longbows so that we may outrange any other race. Once they fire, our infantry with bastardsword and round shields will move in to catch the blows and rush into melee combat. There is no race that can beat us in melee combat, I'll make sure of that..."
"Now, after meleecombat is achieved, we all storm them with axes and berserkerswords like usuall. Seems easy enough you'd say, but I can guarantee you, IT ISN'T!!! You should really try to manouver meleecombat when 20 goblins are attacking you from every side. Therefor keeping the line in important, do'nt get combat too confusing and NEVER get seperated. You need to be able to see 3 allies at any time, otherwise, you're DEAD! Not even 10 000 goblins can beat 100 of our kin without suffering thousands and thousands of casualties this way."
"About dragons you wonder, well...We'll get to them later...As for other flying races, we have the elements on our side. The Spear of Skaadi, Goddess of ice will summon a blizzard that will immobilise them so that our army can crush them on the ground."
"Now, some things. First off we have stormtroop. Your equipment gentlemen. Aside from the regular armor chestplate and sword you will have these aswell:

"I think even you can guess what the pike up front is for. You just storm into the enemy lines, immediatly creating a breach...The pike will aid you. Your mission will also be to block arrows. You are the first line of soldiers, whenever one of you falls another will take his place."(ooc: A Phalanx with a little extra.)
"Second line and third line, you will also be trained as archers. The first line and the blizzards shall defend you as much as possible from enemy archers. The blizzard will also carry your arrows, don't forget this. When you fire right, there's a large chance of hitting an enemy, as there are probably alot of them."
"Now second line and third line, you are the berserkers. The madmen with axes, the brainless baboons that just shop at anything they see? WRONG!!!!!!! You are the most stylish and sophisticated troops in the army. The grace of you attacks must be felt. You will wear NO armor, so that you will be faster than any enemy."
"4th line, the cavalry. My personal favorite, and I will be leading you lot into battle, hehe."*smirk*"You will have short swords and heavy cuirasses to protect you aswell as a horned helmet."
