Prologue:

After the battle for Kadun City and the capture of Grand Duke Karden the next few years proved to be a great step forward in the Kadunese way of life, the new Duke Krowadan who had lost his brother in the battle was elected into power and immediatly set about reforming the way of life.

The new life mean that the people were more liberated but wern't alienated, violent crimes against Gorel half-breeds ended abruptly and were adopted into normal Kadunese society, the Priesthood which had ravaged the planet had become a faint echo in the Kadunese history as several planets were investigated and cleansed thourghly, a new colony was established, the planet Korwaden was not too far from Kadun and was rich in mineral deposits.

The Priesthood terrorist organisation had been forced back to their home-world of Krayten where they conspired against the new power of Kaduna, but without a strong ruler much of the planning came for nothing and it was only the strong scientific research undergone which kept the Priesthood from totally collapsing, they had found themselves breeding genetical wonders, strong as an Kadunese man and as clever as Gorel man.

Planet Krayten, 10 Kadunese years after the Battle for Kaduna

Leading the assault on this wretched scim filled place was the Dukes son Krowagtan, his masterful skill in several earlier campaigns had granted him the title of Grand Admiral and captain of the Kendwina II, much similar to the first design it had several new features, the shields offered greater protection and it had a far more responsive mechanism, it made the previous model obselete even compared to the new Cruisers which sent down new assault boats to the darkened red planet.

Assault teams had already landed and were making quick work of exploring the catacombs and tunnels which pock-holed the planet, they were being watched, not by Priests or by their own men but by a mysterious creature which lurked in the dank corners of the base, none were quite aware of this creature and so they pressed on.

More creatures soon came to watch the strangers fill the base, were they enemy, friend, this didn't matter to them, everyone was an enemy in their eyes, and so they waited, if they struck too early then other teams would be alerted and the hunt would be over, a team ventured into a large room, in the center was a grand oaken table, and around it? The mutilated decaying corpses of Priests and at the center the Priest Lord, all of them had their jaws wide open and some had weapons drawn, there were a few scattered blast marks around the cavernous hall.

"Champion Krogtan, what are we to do?"

The Heavy weapons expert asked in a voice which confounded the beasts, they had never heard this language but they had heard one similar, right now focus was drawn on a scent enetering the room, a pheremone message which had spread across the base, kill them, it spoke softly to the noses of the creatures, one of the men began to make a noise unlike other noises the creatures had heard.

"OH- GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!"

The message was abrupt but it bought the Warriors to attention as the creatures moved in for the kill, the leapt out revealling a varnished red skin with beady yellow eyes which had kill written over them, horns protruded from the tip of the head, and as the warriors took in this information they found themselves at the end of rusted dullen blades which sliced through the Kadunese skin.

"This is Warrior team on- BLUUUUUUUUUUURGH"

This message kept arriving in different forms, it could not be the Priests, they had not the skill to sneak up on a Warrior, just as Krowagtan contemplated this the sensors went haywire.

"We have a disturbance on the planet, the weapons systems are going online."

The female comms operator was frantically attempting to get the system to work this information out.

"quickly bring shields online!"

"Sir, none of our forces will be able to get back in!"

Krowagtan was interupted by his second in command who had risen to his feet, of course by this time it was too late and varried blasts of energy smashed across the hull plating.

"Send out a distress beacon, we are in urgent need of assistance!"

As luck would have it, a ship noticed the distress call. Unfortunately, as luck does, it was but a construction vessel. It hurried over nonetheless.

The Beryllium entered orbit cautiously, and zeroed in on the distress signal, and was promptly shot at by the planetary weapons.

(I've got that part right, yes?)

"This is the Beryllium, Construction Vessel, Desig- HOLY"

The hulking ship was struck by several of the planetary weapons, and lost its communications array. It could be fixed, but the pressing concern was the planetary defences. All power had to be diverted to shielding, and none could be wasted on replacement parts.

A security officer, in his blue jumpsuit with shielded breastplate (not that it would actually make a difference) emerged from the ship, and tapped on the Kendwina II's shields. He held up a bit of paper with the words 'Comms offline' written on it.

(OOC: hmm, a few small concerns with that post, well okay, one concern, the Kendwina II is currently orbiting the planet so your guy better hold his breath for a real long time, I'm guessing that was a joke post right?)

(OOC: Mechanoids. As evidenced by my nation prefix. "The Cybernetic entities of Hakurabi." Not to mention the dual purpose shielding.

It's more practicality. Easier to describe a humanoid with human expressions that speaks english in a freeform roleplay.

Also, editing the post now. Whups.)

The Kendwina was still under heavy fire as a Blue mechanoid hit the shields, it had somthing scribbled on a sheet of paper in a language that the Kaduna had never seen, assuming it was important the Kendwina II dispatched a BOT to pick the stray man up before leaving to return to the Planet Krowaden.

When the security officer was taken onboard, and the Kadunese had no idea what was written on the paper, he decided not to bother with trying to translate through two languages and discarded the sheet.

Most races spoke Galstandard, a.k.a. English (Sometimes), and it was something of a common courtesy to attempt contact in Galstandard first. At that, the security officer set to work liasing with the shipboard AI to work out a servicable translator.

(OOC: They look like humans, again, for practical purposes. They originated as a human colony, before they mechanised themselves.)
