OOC: This is the offiical announcement thread of the Imperial Union, which will be updated as required - sort of like a news thread for government announcements regarding pretty much whatever I feel like.

Open Declaration to all nations of the world
The Union wishes to formally announce to the NS World the chartering and creation of the Imperial ASU Trading Company; a coalition of free-trade enterprises from the Anglo-Saxon Union headed by a government-appointed Director and founded with the objective of promoting national trade outside of the Union’s borders, whilst protecting and expanding Imperial Union interests abroad. Dealings with foreign corporations shall be done with the Imperial ASU Trading Company, who will represent the interests of the large majority of businesses involved in exporting and importing goods and services to and from the Imperial Union.
Secret IC:
Also formed is the Imperial Union Militia; a volunteer military force to be equipped and deployed for actions outside Imperial Union borders as an armed influence where the Anglo-Saxon government does not wish to get directly involved for one reason or another. They are to be trained in both conventional and guerrilla warfare tactics and will be prepared to be inserted into a particular country at any time. The IUM will be created to a total of 1 Division strong (10,000 Soldiers) and will not display any kind of identification to their allegiance.
OOC: Basically, I’m creating kinda my own version of the East India Company used by the British Empire, except the IASUTC represents a coalition of businesses from the Union rather than one single trading company. Any business done is auctioned to the companies within the trading company and the highest bidder wins a monopoly on the particular area, subject to reassessment every so often. So expect to see these people (eventually) running some colonies and perhaps even operating some private armies. The IUM is also going to be my way of getting a bit involved in some conflicts where I don’t want to end up in total warfare or cannot officially involve myself IC from one reason or another.
